I Faked Minecraft's Most Popular Challenge to Prove a Point

this is my Sky Block world but it isn't real for 5 weeks straight I've been uploading fake episodes without anyone realizing just to prove a point Sky Block is such a popular challenge that just about everyone and their mom knows what Sky Block is and how it works so I decided to use your own Minecraft knowledge to deceive you you know what's scarier than falling and losing your Sky Block World losing your 2-year hardcore world when you hit the ground down below I'm going to make a Sky Block Island and ye all my things off the side in this video you'll see how I pulled it off why I tricked you guys to prove a point and all the times that it almost went wrong and at the very end I'll talk to the one person who actually figured it out as the series was going on I think we're going to set it up right here but we need to figure some things out if I switch my render distance down in sodium we still see the ground but I have a solution for that later let's build the setup first I've checked out a few Sky Block maps and this one seems like a good template so that means means we need three things to make the series believable a regular Sky Block Island a desert island and a Sky Block Island in the nether I'm going to start by setting up the nether Island and pre- linking a portal to that location I've measured out the coordinates and the nether Island should be right here let's do the Sand Island next now we need a dirt platform and then we put the rose bushes on top of those and then the sand on top of that now I just have to break the dirt under the rose bush and then the set oh that does not work I did a little bit of research and this method has been patched so I've come up with a different but slightly more scuff method I'm going to make a fake Island that has smooth sandstone in the middle I'm using a trick with extended Pistons where we put the sand on top of those and then we make the game believe that the Pistons can't retract with obsidian next to the Slime then we break the ransom block to unow and the sand still floats that's the desert island done now we just put the grass on top of the main island and then we put the sapling in the corner and grow the tree so that's our starter Island done now I just have to put all the essentials on the nether side Island we need a chest here in that chest we have an ice block a bird sapling and sugar canane and then I need the mushrooms but I can't place those so I'm just going to use flower bolts and you guys are not going to notice the islands are now fully prepared but I need a dropper for my items so I'm going to drop some sand down here right that's the pillar then we put a chest there and I'm just going to make a 3X3 of Hoppers because I don't want to lose my stuff when I throw it down oh I'm nervous I just have two things left to do I have to lose all my experience and I'm going to sleep for the first time ever in this world because I want to start at the right time of day also that will give me 3 days without Phantoms which is kind of a big deal because Phantoms are the main danger early on I'm just enchanting books until I have no levels left whatsoever oh hold up I'm level one but I have a sliver of XP I'm not going to be able to lose that I don't have a real plan here but I'm just going to grindstone these books that I have and hope that I O you guys are not going to see that it's only going to be there for the beginning of episode one so now all I need to do is name a book there we go that looks like level zero okay everything is ready time for nap day 50006 I'm so nervous here we are I'm going to put my AR and all my essentials in this sugar box that goes in my ender chest and then my entire inventory goes down here yeah that includes this one too now for the very last step I break the snow with my hand if we're not using sodium but we're running the game in vanilla and we turn my render distance down to five chunks we're not going to see the ground anymore and that means we are now Sky blocking so far you've seen three potential giveaways I have a little bit of XP the Sand Island is not fully made out of sand and there are mushrooms in flower pots which does not make any sense let's see how the rest of the series goes early days pretty straightforward set up the cobblestone generator expand the platform and chop the tree getting that first sapling was a little scarier than it normally is but the odds of not getting one are really Slim for the beginning of episode one I had two steps in mind first I had to get access to food so I didn't starve and step two I wanted to make a starter house at this point I had my eye on the clo CL it was really important to have a roof over my head before day three was over and the Phantoms would show up so I made a wooden platform and put my tree farm up there which almost caught on fire and burn up so far no further spoilers this looks perfectly Sky blocky but not for long because my sides were set on the Sand Island off in the distance to save all the sand blocks I made a walkway lower down but to avoid any run-ins with Phantoms I decided to mine the night away first before doing a little bit of decoration which is when this happened my heart literally skipped a beat there I decided to chill for the rest of the day but the next day I still made it across to the Sand Island and let's see how that played out I made a little platform to catch the blocks updated the sand so it would fall hit the evidence of me mining the smooth Sandstone but you can still see it in my inventory right here and this is me disposing of the evidence by throwing it in lava you know what the worst part of episode one was for me the rain check out the background here it's snow snowing most of my Sky Block world is set up in a snowy biome which is not default for Sky Block so I cut around every clip where you could see snow layers on the ground it got super annoying really quickly as the series went on I completely gave up on hiding the snow evidence by day 17 I was ready to release episode 1 I now had turned my Island into a starter island with some food a starter house and a tree farm I was ready to move on to bigger and better things the goal for episode 2 was pretty simple I needed to cure villagers get a villager breeder and set up an iron farm but that is not quite as easy as it sounds that's a pretty long list and it's going to get longer because there are many steps in between the first thing I needed was a mob farm for which I used this ill mango design that uses mob pathf finding AI to lure them to a Kill Chamber drops on the farm are going to help a lot but the most important thing here is I need two zombie villagers and a witch although finding this ender pearl was a pretty big deal as well for the rest of this series you'll see ender pearls in my hul bar SL 9 pretty much the entire time if I do fall off my platform I can throw one down to save my world using the 10 obsidian from the desert island I set up a nether portal in exactly the pre-ink location if this portal linked wrong I would end up in the lower nether rather than on my Island on the nether roof I spent days 24 through 27 setting up a gold farm and getting enough gold for two golden apples which is a remarkably long time and there's a reason for that unfortunately half of the gold Farm ended up in a Crimson Forest which does not spawn a lot of zombie pigin and after building the first two platforms I heard a sound that kept me from building anymore I heard a GH cry which is really terrifying because a long time ago I have namet tagged the gas above the nether roof so while I'm in the nether I just want to be as close as possible to my portal so I can get out the next part of the challenge was the scariest part of all of it curing villagers in hardcore sky block is super scary the thing is a witch can throw a weakness potion which you need but only if you're already poisoned within three blocks and Below eight hearts and then there's only 25% chance the other 75% is three hearts of instant damage and two of those will probably kill you so I figured out a pretty safe setup with walls that shielded me and took a few tries because every time I got hit with a single harming potion I aborted the mission and waited out the full duration of the poison luckily curing the villagers worked out but this might be a good moment to point out that these key moments usually come with an advancement now that the villagers were unlocked I set up a villager breeder and an iron farm although I did almost get knocked off my Island by this zombie as I tried to save it from an iron golem no and for some more hidden evidence the Water Source blocks kept freezing since we're in a cold biome so I had to put torches next to them to make sure the farm even worked but by the end of episode 2 I had my Village set up and that basically means we hit the Sky Block mid game the third episode was all about getting the economy going I set up a villager trading station where I sought lots of carrots for my first emeralds and not much later I was walking around in full diamond armor from Trading I saw my first wandering Trader who sold me podel which was new dirt as well as dark oak saplings and by day 61 I was properly set up with everything I wanted so I started building a tower around the villager trading station to begin in my building project I had a rough idea what I wanted to do because once we're done building here this is still going to be in my main hardcore world so we have to make sure that it doesn't look totally out of place but beyond the concept I had nothing so by the end of the episode I had a tower done and it was just as much of a surprise for me as it was for you guys also check out all the snow layers in the background it's getting worse the efforts to hide it are now down to a 6 out of 10 in episode 4 I start cleaning up my world to turn it into a real project but in doing so I decided to move my iron farm and stupidly ruin my lava by turning it into obsidian luckily I was way past the point where laa is essential so I made do with the Villager trades and still had plenty of blocks available to build with but that did mean I needed way more emeralds so I set up a string duper and fisherman to trade with which gave me basically infinite money at this point my world was starting to become pretty clean and the grind was fully on I built more Bridge sections in the hope to create another blocks to get more wandering traders to keep the string prices down and also get my blocks quicker I set up a bunch of Mason villagers where I had also set up the fisherman I built frames for three more Towers identical to the first one I had made and I realized the string duper was carrying so hard that it only made sense to upgrade it to Emerald blocks it's not quite an emerald Tower but it's a start once all the towers were completed I added a bunch of Shepherd villagers to the trading Hub only to realize that their trades are are actually terrible for me because most of the time they don't even sell wool luckily I had a Shepherd in my villager breeder who had the trade I needed so pretty soon all four Towers had their flags and I could start thinking about finishing the build on day 122 I managed to pull a second chicken joy out of my mob farm which meant I could now breed chickens and I didn't need the mob farm anymore so I removed it that very night as for the original two chickens I thought it'd be funny to name tag them and set them free into the world down below you guys thought I killed right we'll be seeing these guys again now the only things that remained before I was ready to spill the beans and tell you guys the entire series was fake was finishing the trading Hub in the middle and decorating all the bridge intersections that were still wide open underneath the towers now stick around for the last 2 minutes because there are still two spoilers left to reveal and the last one is bigger than this entire series being fake to make this big building project a little easier I organized my storage first and then built the word Sky Block out of Oak planks as a cherry on top completing the remainder of the build took me another 14 days before I read a bunch of your comments that said I should go down into the world for more effective farms and I did just that episode 5 ended on the Cliffhanger where the question was if I was able to Pearl back up to save my world well I didn't have to I casually floated on down and got all my stuff back although the local Ground Dwellers were not going to let me have it easy this is an absurd amount of zombies have these guys all been waiting for me at the end of the series I could not believe that still nobody had figured it out well except for that one person I'll show you in just a second how they caught on but I have a
