How to mod Starfield Game Pass | Starfield mod installation GUIDE

all right guys here's a quick guide to modding Your Game Pass version of Starfield first up we want to locate our Game Pass folder which is here so click these three dots go down to manage files then browse this is a location of your star filled game in other words the Starfield executable when mod creators tell you to put the mod into your Starfield steam root folder which is located at steam apps common Starfield if you're playing on Game Pass you put it here instead so this is basically the Starfield directory the Starfield root folder but to be more specific you actually put the mods in the content folder here so to clarify the exact address of this is C drive Xbox games Star field at then content make sure the mod you've downloaded is in the content folder but that's only if the mod instructions aren't clear about where to install the mod if you're playing on Game Pass of course if they do explicitly point out the location of where to put the mod do that instead but what if you follow these steps and the mod still isn't working well there is another way to make it work and this involves downloading an any file to explain it a bit loads of mods ask you to go to documents my games and Starfield to create an any file you do this by creating a text file saving it as in any file by adding the letters i n i to the end and then using that to mod the game but this isn't working for a lot of people even if you've gone to view show file extensions and that's for the simple reason that their computer still aren't recognizing that text file as and any file it was first created as a text file so it's read as a text file by your computer even though you've saved it as an any file that was happening to me as well which meant I wasn't able to use any mods until I downloaded this it's called Starfield custom any and it's uploaded by Bart mickel's on Nexus mods it's basically a pure any file that will be read as in any file by your computer follow the instructions on The Mod page and you will be good to go but just to sum it up step by step step one is to go to documents my games Star field and copy starfieldpreps dot any paced starfieldprefs.ine that you've just copied onto the desktop step two copy everything in Starfield custom.ini and paste it into the Starfield prefs.ne that you've just put on your desktop make sure to paste over everything currently in the star filled prefs in e now hit control and S to save step 3 rename the Starfield press file on your desktop to Starfield custom all one word nothing else star filled custom step 4 delete the Starfield custom.inny in my documents my games Star field then copy over the newly made one from your desktop and that's it you should now be able to mod Starfield on Game Pass this works with the majority of mods but I will say there are still one or two that aren't compatible usually it will say in the instructions if they are or aren't but as I say most of them are since downloading this any file I have had zero problems getting any mod to work so make sure you follow the steps in this vid and you'll be able to mod Starfield thanks for watching leave a like if you enjoyed the video and for more star fill guides subscribe to the channel foreign
