hello everybody welcome back on this video we're going to show you how to make a really good bowl of homemade japanese style shoyu ramen at home it's not difficult satoshi's been tinkering for a while and i gotta say this is one of the best bows of ramen you'll ever have at home [Music] before we get started i want to say thank you to coco cares for sponsoring today's video as you can see we just from the scratchy because i want you to make this soup easily and speedy first ingredient is ginger it's easy to get and grind it it's easy easy i will use this juice the juice of the ginger use of the ginger oh so you're not going to use the the the scraps of ginger you can use it but the ginger ground ginger has much fiber okay it doesn't taste or taste good or the bad texture all right next one is garlic grind this garlic too so one clove of garlic one flower garlic okay the very important ingredient is japanese negi this this green part is very important and it is very diffic it is if it is difficult to find in your place please use leek it's a great substitution so i only use this green part not white but white part and green part has a different taste so i will use only like this two two scallops and one more thing is this strip of kombu seaweed if you can't find this kombu soup you can use this powder instant dashi powder and why i said this is not from the perfectly scratchy because i use this chicken broth canned chicken broth yeah this one we got it from our local costco store no import store i'm sorry that's right sorry about that not yeah import store inputs we thought you we use this one because i know a lot of our viewers live in western countries and i've seen a lot of this in hawaii so i think this would be a great ingredient to use for you guys yeah regularly i made from the scratch i use raw meat raw chicken meat but it takes long time today i want you to make this very speedy so i use this one okay open this can you love this soup i do it's good it's very tasty i see if you can't find this chicken broth in your place and if you can find this instant chicken soup stock it's great situation too so pour this soup into your pot so one can of chicken stock one can of chicken stock it's about 400 milliliter is 14.5 ounces and add one cup of water one cup of water and put this combo seaweed into this soup then green part grated garlic and ginger juice okay and turn on the heat bring to just before boiling okay and wait until just before boiling another important thing for japanese ramen is oil negi oil use the green part of this maggi and chop it like this but you don't need so much like this chop chop chop chop chop chop chop okay like this you can make this with leak too the next ingredient is canned sardine i'm i'm making negi oil i will use this marinade oil marinade we open this can a little bit and pour this oil into frying pan like this put this green onion into this oil and turn on the heat lower heat is better and release this nakey flavor into this oil the soup is just before boiling so take this combo slip out and cook another 10 minutes and the flavor of green onion is released into this oil and stop cooking just before the green onion become brown okay so that's a little bit more yeah a little bit more okay [Music] okay it's turning into brown right now so turn off the heat now okay and release and reduce the temperature do not taste now do not taste them it's super hot it's super hot do not taste now later soup is almost done almost done so before boiling before cook noodles you have to you really have to prepare all of toppings today i'm gonna use very typical toppings first it's maggi next this time i'm using white part of this maki i now if you guys cannot find eggy you can use leek but you can also use the regular green onions yup yup for this right yeah i love neggie i use so much nikki yeah you can use as much niggy as you want it's a topping okay like this this one it's naruto naruto fish cake fish cake you know a lot of people say uh the first time they hear naruto is the anime character you know they're like i didn't know naruto means cake islam yeah this is first this came before the anime character yes this design is came from ocean phenomena it happens in naruto the place naruto so this design is called naruto and this is the chat shoe you need chashu for ramen i know shiny she loves you very much this one this is store-bought starboard chassis that looks pretty good goodness and the size is pretty huge and my bamboo shoes seasoned bamboo shoot this is also necessary the rose pork called cha-shu and then we got the men ma well i love this so much this is the simmer bamboo shoots and then of course the naruto you can find itself all supermarkets so if you can't find these toppings you can use any other stuff and maybe you can't find naruto but you can use kamaboko fish cake it's great substitution and one more stuff it's seasoned egg boiled egg more thing of topping this is seaweed nori seaweed it's this is also shinichi's favorite one it is it is the egg is one of my favorite uh toppings that's for sure but i mean i like all the toppings like i have to have green onions and i have to have char shoe and i have to have some kind of fish cake or i prefer if there is fish cake and i i love the mamma so um it's really hard to choose my favorite but i guess i would choose the egg like the egg is something that doesn't usually come with all bowls of ramen you usually have to add it to the ramen and that's something i definitely add but satoshi you always add extra green onions i love green onion i'm a green onion mania and i made this nori seaweed into like this i cut it into eat yeah just like the ramen shop yep okay soup is ready final step add take this green onion take this negi out and add soy sauce i add two and half tablespoon of soy sauce and bring to a boil okay it's boiling so turn off the heat [Music] and cover up and set aside so let's boil noodles today is i'm using this fresh noodles it's pretty fast but you can just buy it at the supermarket here yeah but in hawaii they also have these already in the supermarket yeah okay so i prepared a boiling water hot water and put these noodles into it and the time is only one minute and half one and a half minutes one and a half minutes okay it's pretty fast all right i have to prepare soup it's pretty fast so please hurry up so this one is a oil you made the negi or nikki oil so take some this it has a great aroma so sardine and green onion okay so about one spoon about two spoons about one spoon one spoon in each bowl okay okay and oh it's pretty fast for 45 seconds 45 seconds left and four for soup okay so divide this among the two bowls well that's to ramen soup is very important [Music] okay okay it's time drain noodles excess drink excess water very well carefully watery water is ramen is not good okay so put this dog into the soup yeah it's good it's good okay with toppings with toppings cashew egg [Music] [Music] and [Music] and nori seaweed like this and green onion sup ramen it's ready wow this looks so good oh my gosh so we got a bowl of ramen we have a store-bought gyoza because we do want to try out some of the ingredients from kokoro cares but anyway let's get to the ramen first let's do first see first it's good it's very good that is really good that is like an amazing bowl of ramen soup i gotta say oh my goodness the oil i cooked veggie oil it's it's changed the soup flavor dramatically yeah it's quite complex guys um you know it's much more complex than your typical shoyu ram and you can get at like a you know i don't know like a mediocre ramen restaurant because we do have a lot of mediocre robin places here in japan as well this would be like really like like this would sell like there will be people lining up for this bowl of ramen i gotta say now i'm gonna eat um i'm going to eat my egg right here i do by the way in japan um we would call this ajita ma in japanese which means like seasoned egg yeah we wouldn't just say tamago it's called eat too look at that beautiful egg oh beautiful [Music] show them what it looks like on the inside yeah inside it's it's special oh this is good you got this from the summit the supermarket yep oh this is pretty good beautiful beautiful look at that it's like perfectly cooked it's not totally hard which i don't like i don't like drying egg this is a perfect stew egg yellow ramen no definitely let's try this uh store-bought char shoe this is this looks like really nice char shoe but sometimes the store-bought chassis is not that great i bought the expensive one you bought the expensive one wow all right much better than the cheap one that we usually end up buying i don't think we should buy that anymore i think this is better how much was this package of um 200 to 200 something you something about two two us dollars not too bad so it's like um a hundred yen for each slice of a pork and i i make ramen soup from the scratchy from the pork and or chicken meat okay this time and i made chicken soup yeah but next time i will make i will make a pork broth pork and now um i do want to uh try the gyoza which is japanese dumplings and with a little bit of this um uh yuzu yuzu we made the sauce with uh soy sauce layer which is like chili oil we usually add vinegar but instead of vinegar we're gonna add the yuzu instead must be very good i know and then also the yuzu sunshine yeah which comes in this tube here is like uh like peppercorns japanese japanese pepper it has it's a little bit spicy but this also includes the yuzu as well so it's like double yuzu wham-bam good good holy um my goodness thank you coco cares for sending this to us it's kind of elevated the store-bought gyoza to a different level oh it's good it's totally different i love them i think this use juice matches with this ramen soup okay i have a little bit okay i'm not going to do that i want to ruin my soup but i do want to i can add a little bit of the essential oil that's good too right to like a little bit of my noodles how is it good it's yeah refreshing i want to drink after eating noodles i do want to finish this video with a couple of the snacks that they can make in this particular youtube box hello justin you want you want to be on my lap again this is his favorite spot right here so uh the first one is yuzu chips a ship yuzu supai chips supai means uh sour and chips is of course chips so sour use it chips it is made with yuzu skin um i do not know um the easiest thing to do is to look at the description okay right here yes it's made with made from use of peel okay use a peel so this is a snack right do you eat this as a snack or is this like a condiment enjoy as is or chop finely and sprinkle on yogurt or ice cream or you can also stir it into like a muffin batter or scone interesting that's a good idea muffins use muffin why have i never heard of that before so [Music] and sour definitely sour but also a little bit sweet and really nice citrus flavor it's like a lemon peel but it has another flavor yeah i feel like it's almost like a blend of lemon lime mandarin orange a little bit of grapefruit i don't know it's like a blend of all the beautiful citrus fruits in the world and then finally i'm going to end this video with the yusuf sembe yuzu rice cracker and this is also from miyagi miyazaki prefecture is miyazaki famous for yuzu i think so okay and um sorry these are not rice crackers these are wheat crackers my apologies yeah they use a yuzu um uh source from kobayashi city in miyazaki yeah the yuzu farmers and miyazaki prefecture are known for their commitment to traditional cultivation and small batch processing to ensure consistent quality of their products oh so this must be really good hmm sophisticated flavor it's not like super sour i imagined very very usually flavor but it's not it's nicely blended with this cracker taste yeah i almost feel like youtube is like in the background like as a note like a subtle note and um you know the focus is more on the quality of the cracker itself which is um nicely sweet it's not overly sweet has a nice crunch but it's not like super hard either it's actually kind of soft delicious you can find yuzu deva alright guys we've come to the end of this video i gotta say satoshi you have mastered the art of shoyu ramen thank you so much that may be my opinion but let me tell you um this is a great bowl of ramen it's like the best homemade ramen i've had in my entire life i'm not even joking you guys have to try it it's so easy to make it so good please make it you can you can make this in your place yeah and once again thank you to
