How to make Steam Water using Fluid Simulation in Blender

I am artist.B, thank you for watching this CG video. This is video will show how to make steam in Blender, using fluid simulation. Hope this helps. Please subscribe this channel, more video will be shared with you. Let's start with the previous video. I would use this scene setting for final render preview. Make invisible on the objects, only remain the water 3D model for reference. Add a cylinder, and go to edit mode to make it to circle surface only. This will used for emitting the steam. And a cube, this will be a Domain, that the cube is the space to make gas simulation happened. Now, select the circular face, and make it "Smoke" and "Inflow" Set the cube to be "Domain". Run the simulation. The smoke is made. Now we are going to make the simulation looking like as steam. And, this is the setting of Domain for steam simulation. And set the Cup 3D model and Water 3D model to be "Effector" therefore, the steam will not pass through them. run the simulation now. We can add a Wind Force Field, to blow the steam. And adjust the steam orientation by rotating the Domain. Run the simulation again and preview the effect. Bake the data, if you think the simulation is good enough. This is the steam simulation after baked. And then, we can add material shader into Domain. To adjust the value of "Multiply" , "Color Ramp" and Emission Color, it will come out different steam looking. Try to adjust them, and pick one setting that you are happy with. And, we can make visible the render scene, preview by using Cycles renderer. Make the backdrop darker. To make the steam more visible. This is how to make steam in Blender. Hope this helps.
