foreign [Music] smothered turkey wings let's get started with the ingredients that you're going to need to make these smothered turkey wings I'm gonna serve them over a bed of rice and some biscuits with them now that's gonna be good eating you're going to need onion powder paprika garlic powder some celery seeds poultry seasoning down front pepper and salt and my all-time favorite season in the world onion soup mix not trying to promote the company but onion soup mix now I'm going to use just a little bit of cooking oil just to make the wings adhere with the seasonings put on it I've already washed them I've already packed dried them I'm gonna put some garlic down on them and to get me that good old-fashioned gravy I'm gonna sprinkle some flour on them as well so I'm gonna go ahead and get started I'll I'm gonna put saturate them with this oil with a little bit of oil I was gonna go away I am gonna go away but I'm gonna that's about a tablespoon of oil that I'm gonna put down on there then I'm gonna go ahead and stir this now that's just so that my seasonings will stick remember when you're doing seasonings if you can't see it you don't have enough okay so I'm gonna go ahead I've already mixed all my seasonings together so I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna put the seasoning down on down on my meat okay now once I get these seasonings down on my meat I'm gonna add just a little bit of flour and remember what I said if you can't see it you ain't got enough so we're gonna make sure that we can see this seasoning down on these uh turkey wings now my turkey wings are not that big see so it's not gonna take a full two and a half hours for these to cook I'm already preheating my oven at 350 degrees so what I'm going to do is to put it in there and allow it to cook for it cover it up for at least an hour and a half and then I'll bring it back and if it hasn't cooked long enough then we'll continue to cook it now I'm gonna add to this some flour now remember that flour is going to help give me the gravy that I want on my chicken wing on my uh turkey wings I'm sorry okay now once I put that flour on it The Next Step is to just go ahead and put it in the pan and allow it to do what it do okay put just a little bit more flour and this works out to be probably about three-fourths of a cup maybe just a little bit more but you don't want it to be deeply um coated with flour you just want enough flour on there so they'll gravy up good for you okay now I'm gonna go away get my pan ready and I'll be right back okay the two items that I didn't show you because I had already cut it up was my cut up onion and my chicken broth that I'm gonna add to this pan so that's what you need on these turkey uh parts because we want them to gravy up real nice but the smaller your your turkey Parts you don't need as much um cooking time as you normally would need if you had those super big uh turkey parts which I don't have but this is enough for my family today okay now I have a little bit of granules that are down in here see them I'm gonna go ahead and add a all righty now my all-time favorite season in the world Lipton Onion Soup mixes going in here I had some leftover seasonings they are gonna go in here remember you got to see some seasonings you may not want to use as much as I'm using but you need to see it on your Meats because when your meat tastes like you know you don't put seasons on it and yet it it looks and it tastes like there's no seasonings on it that's only because you didn't put enough now this is my minced garlic I'm gonna put some of this down in here then I'm going to take and put my onions all over down here and what I'm gonna do I'm gonna cover it 'll give it at least an hour and a half worth the cooking time on 350 degrees and then I'm gonna bring you back and I'm gonna show it to you okay here pass that off now I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna put chicken broth down in here now this is a big size aluminum pan and because I'm using this big aluminum pan and because I wanted a lot of gravy I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna use this whole 32 ounce container okay you don't have to use that much you probably won't be cooking as many as I am cooking anyway so you want me to actually use that much then I'm gonna cover this [Music] all right there it is it's ready for the oven I'm allowed to cook for an hour and a half and then I'm gonna bring it back and show you exactly what it looks like I'll be back to show you what should be almost the end result if not the end result B all right I'm gonna take this out and I'm gonna flip them hot I'm gonna flip this over take the top off and let it cook the rest of the way but as you can see see how that gravy is starting to gravy up so I'm just going to flip them all over and I'm gonna cook it another 30 minutes with the top off first time taking it out of the oven first time flipping it over now I want my onions to go ahead and cook up and I want this to go ahead and brown a little bit so I'm gonna give it 30 more minutes to cook but this is what it looks like and what I really want you to see was the gravy in the pan so I'll be back in 30 more minutes of cooking and we'll let you see how this comes out be right back okay I'm back and there you have it Chris is making turkey look at that gravy look and gravy swimming in gravy now I'm going to make some rice and some homemade biscuits whoops let me change that ain't gonna make no homemade biscuits I'm gonna make some I don't I don't uh I got to just erase that thought from my mouth I'm gonna make some biscuits with this and I'm gonna make some rice and I'll show you a plate when I get it all made but look at how good that looks look at how good that looks and that gravy and everything looks so good so what I'll do is I'll post the I'm gonna go ahead and make the rice and then I'll post a picture of this at the end so you can see it but that's what I'm having for dinner tonight I'm having turkey well and just to show you how this is and how this meat will actually come apart I need to hold it with something see that that may will come apart see how it just Falls I can't there It Go see how you're able to just pull that apart that's what I'm trying to do this with this is not the best tool that I could have used but this meat is ready and it looks really delicious so that's what I'm having and I'll bring you back and I'll show you a plate all right so that's what I'm having I'm having smoked turkey wings the flats and the wing portion of the drum portion of the wing try this I think you're going to truly enjoy it and as always thank you for watching Chris cook for you too bye [Music] please follow me on Instagram and Facebook at Chris Cook for
