I'm gonna preheat this pan oops preheat this pan for my sloppy joes go and I want this pretty high medium high to high heat because I want that beef to brown up nice and caramelize for me I covered the bottom of the little Evo oh now this is ground sirloin it's 93 percent lean it's really nice stuff yeah I'm going to give that a minute to heat up cuz I want the pan scorching hot I'm gonna mix together my seasonings first super simple now sloppy joes they're a little bit sweet right so I'm gonna take some brown sugar here a couple of handfuls light brown or dark brown whatever you got in the cupboard is fine two handfuls of that real exact measuring I'm doing here two handfuls of the brown sugar mm-hm and then we do a palm fall good pump full of grill seasoning you get this right on the spice aisle and it's got garlic and onion and paprika and coarse black pepper and coriander seed mustard seed each one's a little bit different but that's basically what's in there and it's a lot cheaper to buy it all mixed together then to go ahead and buy all the different spices yourself I love grill seasoning it's terrific stuff so I get grill seasoning for steak any brand you like mix it in with the brown sugar and combine it and that's my little seasoning packet there okay once you get the need all broken up you go ahead and add your seasoning let it all just start working together there I'm gonna sprinkle that in evenly down over the ground sirloin smells good already off to a really good start there now I'm just gonna let that kind of work and keep half an eye on it okay I got my onions in there get a little stir get those working oh that smells good crab even onion how good is that now let's get our red pepper in there what a beauty huh run the knife through these a little chop of this and you know the red pepper wow it really adds something I just love that flavor with it nice and sweet red bell pepper sure you could use green oak a little vinegar just a splash let it cook out get your face away from the pan or you are gonna really feel that vinegar who smells good though and then a little shadow Worcestershire sauce or mica is a big shot like a couple tablespoons of that going in there that'll just bring out the beefiness of your ground sirloin nice ok now this has got to cook at this stage for about another five minutes or so so the veggies start to get nice and tender then we'll hit it with the tomato it's gonna have some tomato sauce a little tomato paste and then we'll call that a day let's finish off those sloppy joes now I use a little tomato sauce cuz that's sweet it's got a bit sugar going through it yeah and live it you made a paste couple of big round and spoonfuls of that to make it thick enough for me and it's a subjective thing you make him as thick or as loose well I guess you'd say is thicker as sloppy as you like garbage bowl that 2 cups of tomato sauce it's just shy of 2 cups you know a small can 15 ounce can stir that in now this is a pretty good consistency for me a little bit thick though I want mine to really stick to the bun so I'm gonna go ahead and add a little that tomato paste you know sometimes you might want to look on the Italian food aisle they got a little Dutch naval case in tubes that's that's cool too cuz you don't have to transfer the container before you throw it in the fridge might want to look for that okay so I got two spoonfuls of tomato paste to really thicken this up so it'll just stick right on the bun I'm making a meal from back in the day I'm making some sloppy joes I'm in a classic here I got ground sirloin that I cooked up with brown sugar and steak seasoning and peppers and onions and tomato sauce look at that gorgeous 'no sand the two special ingredients a little zing a red wine vinegar and a little Worcestershire sauce in there how good does that look
