How To Make Map Animation in CapCut (Animated Travel Graphics)

so you guys have requested and I will deliver in today's video Someone commented this on my latest video and I will be making exactly that I'm going to show you guys how to make map animation on cop cut this is going to be very simple straightforward tutorial by the end of this video you'll be able to do exactly like this as well as like this hopefully you guys are excited let's just dive right into it all right so as you guys can see I have the file opened up first example I showed you was just like this where you have this nice little animation on the second one is simply like this where we have this blue arrow uh showing this little animation but you can also add effects and make it like this where it's a lot more engaging a lot more interactive and responsive so first thing that we're going to do is we're going to open up a new project so for this tutorial I'm going to be using simply three different assets only these three you can easily look this up on Google as well but if not you cannot find it I can leave that in the description down below you can find the link in the description so this is the first asset this is the second asset and this is the third asset that we're going to be using so first thing that we're going to do is we're going to drop the first one right there as you guys can see click on the ratio customize and make this 1080 by 19 to10 if you are creating obviously for reals or for shorts and Tik Tok you want to have this vertical so set it to Vertical but if you're doing for YouTube or uh 16 by9 you can also leave it 16 by9 as well for most of the map animation I've seen is only on Instagram and Tik Tok so that's why I am doing 9 by 16 and depending on which map that you're using and which city that you want to go from you guys can zoom into that specific uh place for my example I'm going to be using France and the city known to many of you is Paris I'm going to be using that so first example is going to be super straightforward and simple because capcut is very simple and completely free beginner friendly editor so what you're going to do is you're going to go to text and then go to text template and then you're going to scroll all the way down and then you're going to use this specific one over here although this is a pro future you guys can get Pro for 7 days if you use the link in the description as you will get 7even also enjoy using 7 Days of pro membership you also enjoy using your 7 Days of pro membership so this is a really cool text template because you can simply just resize this and match it to your exact liking for example I want to do from Paris to Zurich right here Switzerland so right here is can see from Paris to zge easy nice little animation right there from Paris zge really really nice what you can do to make it even more uh synematic and make it look more professional is you can add effects like this effects like this for example also what you can do is you can add a little bit of animation for the entire video what you need to do is you need to make a compound clip once you made a compound clip you're going to click on the key frame and then let it just run for a few seconds and then you're going to scroll in and let this be the animation right here if you guys take a look now we have a nice little animation zooming in and we have that Parish toage that little nice animation but the second way the second map animation I'm going to show you guys is bit more complicated but you don't need a pro version this is going to be 100% manual method to do so so what we're going to do is we're going to place the map the second asset that we have and we will also scroll in for this example I'm going to be using Hamburg to Berlin over here as you guys can see and then once you have the map what you need to do is you need to go to stickers once you go to stickers you're going to look up location right there as you guys can see you're going to look up location and the one that I used was if I'm not mistaken this one I'm going to use this one and I'm going to add an animation for this bounce in for5 seconds and then you need to make it smaller place it in the city that you want to travel from and you can just scroll in I mean zoom in just like this nice we have a animation we just need to make it bit more smaller right here as you guys can see and then now we're going to go to text and then we'll scroll all the way down until we find this one big title right here I like to use this text template for this example I'm going to put Hur and then we can also make it smaller just like so and then just stretch this just enough to go all the way until the end which is right right here as you guys can see so total of let me see so entirety of 5 Seconds so now so far we have this hurg next thing that we're going to do is go back to our media and import this you can use any type of uh Arrow to be honest you don't have to use this specific one you can use any other arrows that you have but I just thought this blue arrow is just really suitable for this specific map animation you can just rotate this place it right here and then what we're going to do for this one is we're going to add let me just move it little bit here right here I'm going to add animation to this as well and then we will do fade in animation right there as you guys can see so once you have this first Arrow what you need to do is copy the same arrow and then click on your right arrow to move it five key frames 1 2 3 4 5 now paste it once you have pasted we're going to move it just like this and then just rotate it slightly and then we're going to repeat the same process start from the beginning here 1 2 3 4 5 paste it and now move this over here nice and neat just going to repeat this until the very end 1 2 3 4 5 paste it 1 2 3 4 5 paste it copy this again 1 2 3 4 5 paste it again so just like this once we have reached the destination for me in this case is Berlin what we need to do is go all the way down and copy these first two objects basically text template and the location sticker so we're going to place it we're going to go from here 1 2 3 4 5 and paste that same thing but move it all the way up top so that way it's nicely organized now what we need to do is we need to move this one move it right here and then change this location over here what you need to do is type in Berlin nice little animation and then just make the font slightly smaller right there as you guys can see we have this nice little animation so now now what we need to do is we need to zoom out over here move this a little bit up and then just cut it right here make sure you select all of them and then just click on command b or control B if you're on Windows and then just delete it just like this so once you have everything lined up perfectly what you need to do is so once you have everything lined up pretty clearly what you need to do is you need to go ahead and go to effects and then go to trending and then you can use any of this effect to be honest but I'm going to be using this leak one effect or leak 2 effect I should say I'm going to stretch it all the way from the beginning all the way to the end and then you need to go ahead and select all of them and then create a compound clip just like so once you have a compound clip now we can add uh animations to this so we're going to go ahead click on the compound clip click on the scale click on a key frame click on the key frame for the scale so then you're going to let it run for a few seconds so and then you will just slightly zoom in just like so and then we're going to start from the beginning and add a key frame for the position and then just let it run all the way until the end right here and then move it slightly this way right there as you guys can see now if you if you play it from the beginning let me just make it full screen nice we have this nice little animation going from Hamburg to Berlin really really neat but you guys get the idea this is it for the second example the first example was pretty straightforward and easy let me just zoom in make it full screen first example very very simple but yet really clear second example a lot more complicated but you don't need the pro version everything is manually made but there you have it folks now if you want to watch a video on
