good morning guys well welcome back to my channel so today i'm gonna be making [Music] tamales i was trying to find the recipe that i had used the first two times that i made tamales um but i couldn't find it so i'm just gonna try to remember how i did it and just basically kind of wing it and just yeah we'll see we'll see if it turns out um like how i did last time so let's go so over here i got my pot boiling um i added about 3 4 of a tablespoon of salt and this is optional if you guys want to add it i put like a 4 tablespoon of msg and then half a tablespoon of chicken bouillon um that's just for right now and then if i need more i will just add more later all right i have my chickens here now i'm not gonna use all of it because i am gonna also be making something else with the chicken broth tomorrow so we'll see how much i use of it add my chickens [Music] i'm gonna put four garlics drop in like four plum bun i can't pronounce that oh i don't know that's going to fit poblano poplano poblano that's not gonna fit and i have one two three four six jalapenos seven seven jalapenos and i'm just gonna start with one two three four five six serranos throw that in right now i have my chilies i sweated out ready now i'm just gonna peel the skin [Music] all right guys so right here my brother was talking to me so i'm just going to do a quick little voiceover um right here i'm adding onions so probably like a fourth of an onion so a bunch of cilantro and then right here i'm gonna add the garlic and the chilies that i had boiled earlier all together in there and then after that i'm gonna add the water that i used to boil it probably about a half a cup and if you need more just go ahead and add more and i put about three fourths of a tablespoon of chicken bouillon and half a tablespoon of salt and then after that you just blended it up and if you need to add more you can go ahead and add more also [Music] all right now time to mix in my chicken [Music] i'm just gonna pour the whole thing in here i'm just gonna soak it up anyways all right i do need to add a little bit more salt so i'm gonna do that done it okay so these are the chilies that i'm going to be using this one for the red chili and also so now i'm just gonna boil this one up all right i put the garlic in there and that's about a quarter of a onion a quarter cup no it's a quarter a fourth is a fourth of an onion so 25 cents yes 25 cents [Music] i'mma say this is about half a tablespoon a chicken bouillon a fourth of a tablespoon of salt put some of the juices in there [Music] all right now i'm just gonna strain this and yeah put it in here and just strain so i'm just gonna do that until i'm finished with all of that so yeah i'm done um shoot what was that oh straining it and i'm gonna add some more water to the puree right there but i'm gonna add some paprika it's not that spicy to me so i'm gonna add that and some cayenne oh [Music] all right now that i'm done doing that a second time this is what it looks like can you see up more can you see yeah this is what it looks like like blood i know that it's so thick it's like tomato now i'm just gonna add some of it in here and i'm gonna um save some for the masa that's the shredded chicken right yeah that's just shredded chicken let's see how much that is [Music] got my meats ready let that marinade in there and done now we're going to cut up some cheese pepper jack cheese now into like sticks about this big is good maybe a little bit smaller don't want it too cheesy yeah like this size is good all right now i'm just going to cut these in strips however big you want it doesn't matter you guys see our new knives i like the handle we got it from our our new uh knife plug jojo it's a nice knife though okay so i'm gonna be using this today my kitchenaid we're going to use this um i basically kind of cut the recipe in half half kind of so i'm gonna start with two cups of this the masa flower one two now oh wait just kidding i'm gonna need four of these because this is a half cup i don't know what happened to my one cup i don't know where the one cup went all right and one more so that's two cups two cups now three fourths of a teaspoon of baking powder i need new measuring measuring tools and some salt three-fourths of a teaspoon [Music] and right here i have about almost half a cup of lard we may need more but let's see i'm gonna add a little bit of that in there okay i'm just gonna add the whole thing all right i'm gonna mix it a little bit right not [Music] add hot chicken broth right here add a little bit at a time [Music] gotta get the size [Music] so i added my two and a half cups of chicken broth little at a time and mixed it well make sure you get your sides in case so now i'm just gonna mix it in and make sure that we got everything which i think we did i'm gonna really mix this now so i'm gonna touch it and see what it feels like oh it feels soft they say if it doesn't stick to your hand that's a good thing so it's not sticking to my hand it looks good well yeah i'm just kidding so that should be good okay so now i'm gonna add i just got done putting everything else besides the broth and i'm gonna add the a half cup for now of the red sauce and now we're gonna mix that a little [Music] [Music] bit a little bit of chicken broth make sure you get your sides the bottom if you can some more bro [Music] and i think that's a good amount of chili sauce too i think i'll put a little bit too much but it's okay so just keep mixing [Music] after that i'm just gonna go in and mix it some more like really good make sure like really really mix it if you guys know what cup accent is this reminds me this making masa reminds me of making copy accent if you guys know what that is and if you guys don't you guys will know tomorrow but yes yeah we're making fresh noodles tomorrow well basically it's done doll um you gotta get a test stuff on your finger no i mean it's the color stuff but the masa is not there you go now that i got all the masa ready this one i did have to add a little bit more chicken broth just a little bit more because it was starting to dry out i did cover it but it felt a little too dry to me so i added a little bit more now i mix that up i got my corn house here they say to use the smooth side and the rough side should be on the outside so now you grab some of your masa i don't have that tool so i got my rice cooker scooper thingy make sure your husk is dry too otherwise it's just gonna start coming out not too much either all right add some chicken oh got my pepper jack cheese [Music] and food what y'all think yep now just add it to here and go to the next one [Music] okay guys so now we're gonna do the red one i did have to add more chicken broth just because it did look like it was drying up so i did that and i mixed it now just like the green one we're gonna scoop and spread oops all right i think i need a new a different thing to spread this because this is not working i need us the other one all right i kind of have a heavy hand i think that's why it comes out okay i gotta go soft add our chicken and fold now we're just going to keep doing this again before until it's all gone and yeah we'll see you guys after everything is done all right guys so this is the finished product of the tamale tamale so this is uh the green the green one right green chili you can see huh uh looks legit right yep so you see the chili right there that's the poblano poblano poblano poblano chili i know i don't know i can't say it but it's the masa the masa looks legit it's yeah and then there's chicken inside [Music] oh mmm oh spicy has a cake it has a good kick to it but the masa is not mushy like watered down you know what i mean it's it's good like peru is it dry it's not dry because you know you can't have dry tamales like you can have dry yeah but it's not dry so it's good all right we got the red one now look it [Music] was so small i don't know that one just came out small but this part is my favorite part right here scrape that off let's get the middle part it's pretty good i made it by the way honestly the first time i made it tastes better or maybe because i've been drinking so maybe that's why my taste bud is kind of off well sean hasn't finished it so it's not good yeah okay oh no i guess it's not as good as the first time i made it because it's taking a while but he got like four of the green ones already it's moist it's not dry it's pretty good because it's moist so it's not dry yeah you better shut up because you said the same thing this guy is not moist in this drive i guess i'll drink this all right guys claudia wanted to be in the shot she has some cottage cheese with
