[Music] everybody get you some water in your pot have it raging and boiling to that you're going to add in about 2 tbspoon of butter mine soften so it can go ahead and melt faster also we are going to add in one chicken bullion that's right I'm add in one chicken bullion I cut it in half we got to get some flavor up in here for our elbow noodles for our drop the Mite macaroni and cheese this is going to be the best macaroni and cheese your family ever had one pound of those elbow noodles this is the big box see that 16 oz don't say I didn't tell you put all macaroni elbow noodles in your pot and we're going to allow these elbow noodles to cook for 6 minutes 6 6 minutes Al Dente get you some butter about tablespoon or two and put it on your macaroni noodles so that they don't stick and it also adds flavor flavor on flavor on Flavor okay so now let's make our cheese sauce I know a lot of people don't like making cheese sauce but this is simple and it's easy to understand instructions to follow here I have five tables spoons of butter yes it's at room temperature and on the stick of butter it shows you the tablespoons okay so I'm going to add these 5 tablespoons of butter in and I am going to allow them to melt make sure that you have your pot on a low heat for making this roof for your delicious southern baked macaroni and cheese I like to call it slap the drop the M macaroni and cheese cuz baby that's what everybody going to do when they taste your food now we are going to add in 5 tablespoons of flour it can be allpurpose or self-rising flour and we are going to mix this in and you are going to stir your flour in and mix it in with your butter and cook this flour taste out for about 4 to 5 minutes you do not want your macaroni cheese tasting like no Doone on cooked flour so please cook it until it gets a little tint on it it's going to be a light skinn brown roof make sure you're constantly moving your roof like this like so so that it does not stick and it does not burn we don't want nothing scotched scorched a scotched y'all remember your grandparents or your mama saying don't Scotch that food especially if you from the south I know you don't heard him say don't Scotch that food that means burn it now that we have cooked our roof for about 4 to 5 minutes to cook that flour taste out we are going to add in our [Music] milk I am going to stir this milk with my whisp I had still have it on a medium low heat because I do not want this to burn here I have my seasonings these seasonings will be listed in the description box below but I'm using black pepper garlic powder onion PW powder seasoning salt and I'm also going to toss in uh half of a chicken bullion Cube so now I am going to get ready to add in my cheeses my cheeses I already shredded them [Music] and use half of each equal parts so that it'll taste [Music] good and your cheese sauce should be thick like this kind of like a pancake batter consistency okay so now before we add in our cheese sauce There are some other steps I am going to add a small amount of black pepper to my noodles if you want to use white pepper remember go ahead and use white pepper youall need to be sprinkle a little bit over the top it's going to sink down into the bottom I don't want to hear nobody saying she and more salt yes just a small amount you want everybody to be able to eat your food okay and that's only a teaspoon now we are going to add sour cream this is a one pound but we're only going to use six 8 oz out of the 16 oz for our sour cream gonna take the edge off of it remember that macaroni and cheese can have a little tartness to it and you're going to mix your sour cream in your noodles like so cover it completely okay so now you're going to sprinkle in a small amount of sugar okay this is about three teaspoons of sugar that you need to add in and you are going to mix that in as well that is going to take the tartness that bitter taste out of your macaroni and cheese okay so I am going to make a custard for a mac and cheese so that it's just not completely falling apart here I have one and 1/4 cup of whole milk have four eggs we're going to beat our eggs like so [Music] so now let's go ahead and let's add our custard first the milk with the egg mixture so with my extra cheese that I have left over not the cheese that's going to go on top I'm going to mix this cheese in with my noodles mix you some of that cheese in with your noodles okay make sure that it's well combined this is going to help get cheese pockets okay so now get your spoon start scooping in your cheese sauce now I have enough cheese sauce for this pan and enough pan another pan that I y'all put your remaining cheese on the top and I am going to bake this in the oven a lot of people cover this I'm not covering M I'm putting it straight in the oven like this I am not going to cover it and we are going to bake this until our edges are golden so this is going to take about 45 minutes to an hour it just depends on your oven if it takes any less I will let you guys know I'll be back once we have that nice beautiful golden brown top and so now I have taken my baked macaroni and cheese out of the oven everyone and I am going to allow it to cool before I serve this to my [Music] family
