How to Install Visual Studio Code on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS | Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial

so hey everyone welcome back to the channel today in this video we are going to see how we can set up visual studio code on UB to virtual machine so first of all go in your browser and search for visual studio code you will be redirected to the official website of Visual Studio code so just click on the visual studio code so you can see Visual Studio code ID's website is here and it's the best ID I I have ever used it has lots of extension and support for all of the languages and it has a good intelligence and other features as well along with it is a open source ID so we have to download it for UB 2 UB 2 operating system so you can see Deb file or debn distribution files are here and it is for Uber 2 also you can download it RPM file if you have SOS or red hat Enterprise Linux operating system so I'm going to hit on DB so you can see it will redirect us to the getting started page and it start downloading this file okay so I'm going to minimize my browser I have already downloaded it I will show you so this is the file explorer and let's go to the downloads folder so you can see uh here it's downloaded actually two copies are there one I have already downloaded and this is downloaded right now uh which has uh a which has this one extended to it okay so let's download let's delete this one okay so now uh for installing this you need to open your terminal so you can open Terminal by searching the terminal from here all apps or you can use the shortcut control alt and T it will open the terminal here so let's change the size of the terminal so you can see it properly okay now I think you can see the terminal I will change one more time okay so let's first see where we are so now you can see I am in home directory and in my username directory right so let's see downloads directory and if I hit D and hit tab it will auto complete and it enter so let list so you can see this is the file TB file we have downloaded so we need to install this file so for installing this file you need to enter the command sud sudo dpkg minus I and you need to enter the file name so this is the file name and just hit enter it will ask you for pass passwords so the password I'm going to enter my password and as soon as I hit enter you can see it starts installing some of you might CAU an error uh dpkg error uh some kind of error like front end is not accessible but just read that error properly you will get one uh process ID there and uh that due to that process ID this package installation is not getting started or you are getting that error so with the help of kill space minus 9 space that uh P ID you can uh like kill that process and you can run the command so it will install for you as well so now you can see uh Visual Studio code is installed for me if I will show you in all apps if I search for vs you can see vs code is here right so you can click here and open the visual studio code otherwise from the terminal with the help of the command c o space Dot and enter you can run the visual studio code from here itself so you can see the visual studio code is open successfully so I'm going to maximize it and you can see so in this way you can install Visual Studio code in your uban 2 operating system I hope you like this video and it is helpful for you you if you think it is helpful then please share this video with other enthusiastic people and uh like and share this video we will see you in the next video till then Happy coding
