all right so I just finished the tile backsplash in my kitchen and now I am going to Cauca with silicon I did this section I here to kind of show you what it looks like when it's finished and then I'm going to demonstrate it over here finish that way around the sink and everything so silicon can be pretty messy so there's a trick that I learned from a granite guy that I share with quite a few people and it's always been a big hit and I've always wanted to do a video share in it I just never have so I'm going to do that so I've got my silicon here just using some white silicon if you've ever done silicon you know it literally gets everywhere so this trick is incredible to make a nice smooth bead I like a nice good caulk gun that leaves a consistent bead and then this invisible glass so this is in an aerosol spray so if you continue holding it down it will just spray that's important and paper towels so I'm going to kind of just show you what it looks like when it's finished so this took me about a minute to do that beam it's very very nice very consistent and I'm going to show you how I do it so I'm going to start in this corner so I've already because I had to do this corner I laid a little bit of it out up to here so I'm just going to continue that bead it's important you get a nice consistent bead I try to do a thin bead not very thick because the more you put in there obviously the more you have to wipe out so nice thin consistent bead is important the other thing is if I let off on this on the handle I want to make sure that the gun that I'm using doesn't keep putting it out so that's another thing about a good quality gun is that it won't putting more caulk out after you let off the handle now this is always the tricky part up and around the sink you're going to hit the sink to go around it all that good stuff all right now for the video I'm just going to do this section right here I think so now that it's all laid out I'm just going to take my invisible glass spray I'm just going to spray along here get that nicely wet with the spray so what this does is basically now anything that the silicone would normally stick to isn't going to stick anymore because the silica the silicone won't stick to the spray grab a little bit of paper towel and then I just start in that corner and that you should get quite a bit off and you can try to go too far at once so you should be able to go a couple inches and have to wipe the silicone off your finger so it also doesn't really stick to my fingers either because of the spray mold this wreck around here and I might have to add a little bit more in there same thing now I can go over it all at once and make sure it's a nice consistent beat just like that now I'm basically not getting anything off anymore so that took me about a minute to wipe it all off finish it and now it looks really nice so I'm just going to do over here now since it went so quickly no but you see that's a beautiful bead of caulk which again silicone is super super messy so to have that clean of a bead it's nice alright so now do the same thing here just spray it nice thick sprint ooh that corner yet because I want to do up and down that and this way before I spray in there else the caulk isn't going to stick there when I do it so I'm just going to start here and wiping off light off dude that's it so super easy clean quick and it looks really really nice so if you're doing showers bathrooms around the table around your kitchen anything like that much all you have to do you have any questions feel free to ask
