hey everyone my name is sunwind and today I want to show you how you can install third party Watchers like Bonet epic games Ubisoft connect and many others on your steam deck first you need to switch over to desktop mode by clicking on power switch to desktop Now open up your browser and Google non Steam wers and click the first GitHub link or alternatively click the link provided in the description of this video this will open up a GitHub page with the project simply click on releases here on the right side and then scroll down and click on source code now you can save this to your desktop or any preferred folder you can navigate to the save file and right click extract here this will create a new folder with all the extracted files Now open up that folder and double click on the file called non steam watchers. desktop you will get the set of promps and you want to confirm each of these now don't worry this is perfectly safe for your steam deck after you do that a small window will pop up listing various launchers as well as websites you can set up for easier access in this video we're going to try try out a few third party lachers like Ubisoft connect epic games and Bonet so simply choose the ones you want to install and click okay at this point you can go and grab a cup of coffee as this might take a while depending on how fast your internet connection is and how many lachers you choose to download now most of these will install in the background and then steam will restart to apply the changes however for some like Bonet or G you might see a popup for an installation window just let that run through until everything has sold automatically closed after you're done the non steam launchers app will automatically close steam will restart and you will have all the launchers available as non Steam games in your library at this point I recommend going into the properties for each of these and setting them up to use proton experimental as a compatibility layer we need to do this as these are often updated and will break unless you also use an updated version of proton the next best thing to do is to launch them in desktop mode so you can log in easier and set up any specific settings then you can go back to gaming mode and downloading a game to one of these Wes is like on a Windows PC they won just create their own cogram F folder on your steam deck and that's where your games are downloaded by default that's pretty much it this will allow you to install all your games and another on steam or that you have purchased on all the Watchers for one reason or another if you're run into any issues let me know in the comments and I'll be happy to try and assist as best as I can if you found it helpful please leave a like and a comment and thanks again everyone for watching and I'll see you in the next video
