welcome back to the Sims resource today we're going to be going over a very requested topic and that's how to install cc into your game so the first thing you're going to want to do is to find the mods folder this is going to be in your PC documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 and then mods there's going to be this one file in there called resource.cfg don't touch it just leave it then you're going to download whatever mods you want so I'm just going to grab some from The Sims resource I downloaded one individual mod right here it's a beautiful hair and I also I think I'm also going to download a big old uh basket of mods because I have some builds planned and I want to get some build mods so here we go uh the site is just creating a basket and I am simply waiting on it as you do um you can see in the lower right corner of the bin where your downloads are at on the Sims resource and yeah as you can see I have a whole lot of mods it's like 250 build mods for my upcoming stuff and we'll see if I actually get her into using that much but you know I just thought it'd be a good way to show you installing a whole bunch of mods at once so here we go download's ready click Start download and it should pop up on the bottom of your browser when it's ready okay so we're gonna head back to your downloads folder and I'm going to show you how to do this two ways you can cut your new mod go to documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 and mods and then right click and hit paste that's the really easy way but if you have a whole bunch of stuff and you don't really feel like doing that with all of it you can do the same process with a folder or you can first of all any big group of mods is probably going to be in a zip file you're going to have to extract it it'll take a couple seconds and I always recommend renaming your files um this is for like a den build so I ended up renaming mine to like Den Furniture but as you can see all my furniture safe and sound in the folder and you can see up on the top bar that there's a little thing that says move to and I highly recommend it I think it is a very good tool and so yeah I just moved to and then you can put in the path for your mods when you first open your game you may have a mods disabled thing popped up I'm going to show you to fix that really quick this happens pretty much every time the game updates so you're going to go to game options other and then check the box that says enable custom content and mods hit OK and then apply changes and then you have to close the game and reopen it okay so now we're back mods are enabled I'm just going to start up a new game really quick to show you what I got and how it's looking in game so if you followed all the steps up to now you should have a Sim when she loads you should be able to use the hairs or whatever else you downloaded in cast and then I'll also be showing you how the build stuff shows up in game so here I was looking for the hair I downloaded um on the top left by a little arrow you can actually filter by custom content but since this is the only hair in my game right now I just have to scroll for it and there you go it looks beautiful and it will appear in game as well okay so here it is in game actually you can see it on the Sim and now I'm going to show you how to filter for build CC so if you get over here to I'm just going to choose a desk you can see there's a little wrench icon that means custom content and you can also filter by content on the top right and that will show you everything that CC in that category and here you go there is a desk and a computer so all the options are going to show up for the computer they're perfectly uh usable by your Sims so there you go I hope you like this bye
