HOW TO INSTALL & DOWNLOAD CC FROM CURSEFORGE | The Sims 4 ❤️

hello everyone and welcome back to the channel or welcome if you are new I'm elindra and a little while ago Sims announced that they're launching a whole new way to download mods and custom content through this website or app called curse Forge so I haven't checked it out yet it has been live for at least a couple of weeks now I thought in today's video we could look at what we can download from this site and how to do it and how to get it in your game because I feel like this could be a really simple way to download stuff but I don't know I haven't seen it yet so first of all I guess the main page for curse forage looks like this then you can just click on the Sims but there is a newer version which they like advertise so I feel like we should do it on the new version which is the beta so I just clicked try it out and it looks like this this is where it took you I think we're gonna use this very version hopefully it works just fine Sims is right here so I'm just gonna click on the Sims and here we already have a bunch of mods to start off with then we have creative Sam oh yeah The Mod Squad so they didn't buy specific like creators to join early to put their stuff on the side so they're like verified creators so that's cool we have build and buy lots and then we have like popular mods oh latest okay there's so much going on here I think what I want to do is obviously I want to go into cast but this would probably be a good place to also download mods like MC Command Center which I have the tool mod is really useful well let's check out creative Sim I don't know if there's gonna be anything in here that I don't already have because I don't know how quickly people are uploading stuff in here but there are 76 Pages which is a lot I think hold on can I can I filter this even more I actually don't think that I can we have like the mods and the stuff over here yeah pets and worlds as well save files oh okay we do have oh okay we see okay I just didn't see this so we have buddy which includes hair then everything in here and then we have clothing so if you only want to find hairstyles let's try that we might look through that and then the game version but I'm just assuming they're all gonna be good hopefully that's fine so I'm just gonna look through here try and find a hair that I don't have because I already have these two I don't have this one so what happens if we open this so we can see the Creator Gigi Sims this is called the Yara hair it has 4.6 000 downloads which is a lot and then here are a couple of pictures looks like there's two versions I like the first one with these like side bangs a little bit better oh there's more information down here ah baby hair is not included that's fine it's base game compatible so again I haven't downloaded from here before but it says install with app oh so you can just download file and there we go you can't you can barely see it but you download it up here as a zip file that's just gonna go into my downloads folder which is right here here's the yard here and inside you can see both versions I would like the version one so I would just put that in my mods folder but I'm kind of intrigued I feel like we should install the app because I think it would put it in your game automatically and that's pretty cool so let's do that okay so we have the installer right here in our downloads I double clicked it it asked me if I'm gonna allow it to make changes to my computer or whatever I clicked yes and now we have this is the little installer so let's just install this together basically ask you where you want to install it I don't know where you guys want to put it you can choose the default location but I'm putting it here in a new folder called cursed Forge perfect then I don't need the short cards and just accept this let's click next um accept uninstall okay seems to be going pretty fast okay great successfully installed we also got this window down here curse word has been installed successfully good luck have fun let's launch it okay here it is welcome to curse Forge okay great I don't think I'm gonna skip intro because I've never used this before okay that's fine oh there's a free version of this app and then there is a version that you can subscribe to that won't have any ads okay I'm just gonna click through these it's also okay hello fellow simmer the curse sounds really good so we're gonna do that oh my God it recognizes that I have stardew Valley as well there's nothing here I'm assuming because I haven't downloaded anything so if we go back to where was it here we go the hair that I wanted to install so now if I click this allow this side to open the curse Forge link with curse Forge open link okay great so here we have the Gigi hair so I downloaded it but I don't think I've installed it yet to install the mod click here well yeah let's try it hmm I've clicked install nothing is happening I'm curious if this is not working properly or if it's trying to download my entire mods folder in here um which is huge and that's why it's taking so long well while it's happening I'm gonna browse through some more hairs I have all of these I recognize like all of these creators don't have this can we open this yeah we can open it in a tub here's a cute hair for guys it's funny because I already have all of this I've seen it all on Tumblr I'm probably still gonna go see these shopping on Tumblr unless this turns out to be really really good and handy but we will see okay we have this pure collection set that comes with four dresses and this stunning hair so I'm gonna click install again okay so this one has popped up but like the install it's not telling me that it's doing anything this is my mods folder and oh wait oh my God okay interesting I was gonna say I don't see them in here but they just appeared so that is the hair that is Yara hair so interesting I don't want it to go into this folder I wanted to go into new CC because if it goes in here I feel like that's the biggest mess of my life but here is the whole Rusty collection as well so it is actually installing them that's good to know I wanted version one so I'm gonna delete that one I guess I'm gonna put them in here but I will figure out if we can get them to go directly into new CC because I would love that let me look through some stuff okay I don't see it as an option in here but I did find that folder automatically on my computer I didn't have to tell it where the mods folder was all I had to do was install you know this app curse Forge and then it already knew I had Sims in story Valley and when I pressed install I went in my game so technically it's working perfectly I'm actually impressed that I did that all on its own so I guess it's working let's download a few more things we can get this hair for example I like the look of it it's Max's match it's cute so let's press install oh downloading unzipping does it already get installed is it without me even having to press anything well I pressed install oh all I did was press install this opened and now it's in my mods folder perfect I'm gonna get the Celine hair we're gonna click install it's a processing downloading okay it's in our game and then we have this white garden collection set looks like we have some outfits and dresses possibly oh hairs I was gonna say gown and gloves we have a hat oh yeah the hair as well then this gown and this one and oh my God there's so much in here but I have not seen this before so oh you can also follow the Creator donate okay cool to know I'm gonna install this as well okay great let me know in the comments if in the future when I do CC haul videos would it be okay if I linked you guys to this website or should I just still just link you to Tumblr what if there's something that I can only find in here and not anywhere else this is really cool there is a lot of stuff in here I'm assuming if you click on the Creator okay it's taking us to like the older websites okay so you can see all of their Creations so let's say I want this one uh we can also download it from here oh here we go install with the curse Forge app if you use the old version of the website okay last thing I want to look at some clothing just to see if there's anything new that I haven't really seen before I love that there's kids stuff as well this is a super new website so there's not that much stuff on here yet I mean obviously there's like what 50 pages of clothing that is quite a lot but I'm assuming it's just gonna keep growing and going and it's going to have more and more stuff but this is a collection I haven't seen because I haven't really been downloading from Rusty recently I found their website really hard to download from maybe that was just me but look okay this is cute now with two briefs to download you just click install and it's gonna open up in that you can see all the pictures and info even just within this app which is really cool and if you click here get more mods I think you can just download them straight from here new releases for example let's review all of those let's look at this Michelle hairstyle that I do not have in my game we can just download it straight from here perfect installed okay great I wonder if I can get my mods to download oh my God I can um yeah apparently I can see all my mom's in here what if I want to get rid of something you can go to a folder that is in or you can delete it straight from here and you can like see what it is that you're deleting oh my God that makes me very happy anyways that is the app that is the website I'm gonna open up SIMs now and just show you guys that the items that we downloaded are in my game but that was actually quite simple you do need to install like a whole app for this if you want you saw me first just download it regularly where it went into my downloads folder right here and then you can just manually put it from here into your mods folder I've shown how to do that in my how to download CZ video honestly I do find using this app easier so let's open Sims and let's see someone with the new stuff all right we are in a Cavs I'm gonna use cats to show you guys the new items but I do want to remind you guys that when you download custom content if it is your first time you do have to turn it on in the game so you have to go to game options and then to go to other you know it looks like this you have to click this and as it says the game needs to be restarted for this change to take effect so make sure this is a green click apply change changes closest close the game restart the game and the mods should be there but anyways let's see if I can find the new hair that I downloaded I know I downloaded one from Mika that I didn't have yeah this one okay yeah it's working perfectly I even downloaded some extra swatches that look amazing on her oh my gosh let's see the last one kind of matches her dress so yeah this was downloaded using the curse Forge app and the website here are some of the other hairs that we got so we got this one from Rusty and this one as well that you can add the stunning flowers too I think I'm gonna showcase these in my next PC haul video or at least most of them that should be coming out soon so that will be fun here is the final hair that we got from Kiara zerk who I also haven't downloaded from before at least not in a really long time so that's a whole new Creator unlocked so I might include these in the video CC haul and then if we look at the dresses because I know I downloaded a bunch of dresses from Rusty here we have some of them here's the first one this one and this one obviously these are like super Max's match so cute oh my God and then this collection from Rusty as well wow oh my God I love the flower details these are stunning so yeah that is a success everything worked perfectly hopefully you guys know how to download and install the app now if you want it or you can just manually download the items and put them in your mods folder like you've probably done a million times before I am kind of obsessed so I might be using curse Forge more
