How to Download Mods/CC into you game 🤍The Sims 4

hello and welcome to my channel this tutorial is going to be for the people that are brand new to Sims in this tutorial I am going to show you how to download the game if you do not know how and I'm going to show you how to download mods and where to get them from all right let's go first you want to open up browser and then go to Google or whatever search engine you prefer type in The Sims 4 Once you type that in the very first link is what you want to click on Electronic Arts homepage The Sims for download free click on that you can't miss it once you are here um in the top right corner you want to click on play for free you want to click on the link that applies to you if you play on Windows you want to click on EA app for Windows on Origin EA app for origin and so on so once you click the link it's going to bring to another page where you can click on the drop down download now and you just choose which app works for you then it's going to download onto your computer so you're going to have to go into your downloads folder and install it into your computer okay just double click and install the application then after that you want to create and log in to your EA account and then search the systems for and add it to your library and that's it okay now for the fun part downloading mods and CC I am sorry console players this is not for you you can only get mods and CC on Windows and Mac books um let me just say that if you do not want to play with custom content or mods that's totally up to you there for the people that want to play with custom content and mods all right so custom cont content is player made and this can include clothing hair furniture and objects then you have your gameplay mods these are mods that add feature or changes to the functionality of the game for example the child birthing mod by Panda s so we are going to start by looking at Pinterest if you are unfamiliar with Pinterest um here it is this is what we're is it gives you ideas for whatever you're looking for in The Sims or in real life so if you want to look for like hair you type type in s for CC Hair and what's the first thing that pops up Pinterest and then you have Tumblr then you have the Sims resource and you have patreon of course so click on Pinterest and it will bring you to whatever you're looking for for now you can either look for Alpha hair or Max's hair it's up to you just put it in your search like for example sin 4 CC Alpha hair or sin 4 CC Maxis hair that's all you need to do and then you can just pick what you want another website I like to utilize is uh Tumblr So tumbler you can come across people's lookbooks and they make it so easy for you so if you are looking for example let's see which one do I pick on I think I pick on Mary so you can see in her description if you expand that she has this outfit put together you can literally click on the link and it will take you right to the coat that she has listed you put in the code it's free on the Sims resource but with the Sims resource you got to put in a code sometimes and then you just click the download button you wait and you hit download and it will download the jacket and there it is it pops up for me so it should pop up for you too but I'm not 100% sure and there you have it so once you download your item you want to open up your folder your downloads folder and you want to open up a second window that's what I like to do and I have my mods folder pinned on my quick access so all I have to do is just click the mods folder and it brings me right there but if you are struggling to find your mod folder you go to documents documents the um Electronic Arts The Sims 4 and click into your mods folder so side note I think when you first download The Sims 4 you're going to have to play your game first and then um Create a Sim save it uh log out and then you should have a SIM forth folder but don't quote me on that cuz I'm not 100% sure on that as I said I've been playing this game for years I don't really know what I did in the beginning for the sake of this video I went ahead and removed my mods from the mods folder so it's like we're starting fresh together yay so first I am going to grab the package that I downloaded as you can see here and drag it into your mod folder some files um are zipped so for example I'm going to download UI cheats which comes in a zip file um if you're going to download mods please read the instructions okay it'll tell you what the purpose of this mod is and when it updates FYI so as I scroll down I'm going to click on UI cheats it's going to open and it's going to be in my downloads folder as you can see it showed up as a zip file so you can either drag and drop and then you can either click double click into the folder highlight and drag it into your Mod's folder or you can drag the folder and drop it in right click extract all and then extract the file then delete the zip folder and yeah now you're good to go close out of those folders it's up to you start your game start your game so for the next part of this video I forgot to mention this earlier so you want to make sure that you turn on your script mods and your custom content so you want to go to [Music] options click on Options under options you want to go to game options right here go to other and then you want to make sure you enable enable custom content and your script mods you want to apply changes and then you want to restart your game this is important for this to take effect okay close your game down and then reopen it so once you have restarted your game you can look at your new custom content so I don't want to mess up my my current save folder so I'm going to start a new game this and then if you're new to Sims read that that's not for me but yeah it' be useful if you read it so then you want to search for your custom content it's normally located at the bottom and I forgot what I downloaded so just bear with me I had to go back and look like what is it it's the dress it was the dress that I downloaded so you want to go into the category if it's a top go into top if it's a dress go into dress and so on oh and here it is this this two-piece it's cute different colors you can change it swatches that orange one is really cute my S will be in this for sure and the patterns are cute too so the wrench is um basically determines what is custom content and what is made by EA keep that in mind and there you have it we're done that's how you download custom content and mods
