[Music] [Music] hey what's up my name is Ryan with German theft today we're going to be doing an install guide on our t4 swing scroll top mount evo 10 turbo kit that's a lot of work this can be a little intimidating to install because there's a lot of stuff going on back here but we're going to take you through step-by-step shows them so real quick I'm gonna go through what's included in the install kit is your three inch double gasket keyboard twin-scroll exhaust manifold gaskets downside v-band clamp the hard strandline flange off the bottom of the table your feed line stops train line the lower coolant line the upper pool in line feet ceiling and incise this have the this control phone line stick though the accessory turbo fittings so we get the drain fitting for the block we have the coolant lines right here that go into the side of the turbo it's a feed line for the set of the flocks and then we have these P clamps or the feed line we also have the drain flange hardware in the downpipe hardware and then the turbo hardware we have four studs before copper locking nut and then for your box watching this wack okay so the first thing you're going to want to start off with the theme on fittings for the block of one for the oil feed which is just small and 10 by 1 to 5 remember to put the crush washer around there it goes in right below the water pump next thing you're going to want to do is get these drink fitting that goes into the block just does have an o-ring on it so you're going to want to make sure you Lube it up before you stick it in ship it anything pull that fastens it just remember that this block is aluminum don't kill it next thing you want to do is grab your off manifold make sure you put these welcome in your jacket on time you put an exhaust manifold or something like a manifold on same thing with the cylinder head you always want to fasten from the middle out so when you talk to you want to do these to criss cross the d2 and then do the other mutts are flat next thing you don't want to do is you're going to want to grab these all samples dug and the turbine housing for the turbo as you're going to go on neck here that you have these fasteners and salt on the turbine housing and screaming able to rotate so that when you put the toner cartridge in confectionery and when you install these you just need to do finger tight make sure they bottom out there's no reason to put peanuts on them and really crank them down the thing you're gonna want to grab the exhaust manifold gasket so let's use the turbine housing hon you're going to want to put the lock nut the nord lock washer on these lock nuts are only a one-time youth so it for any reason you have to pull the turbo back off get new lock nut just for demonstration purposes so we're not going to put the lock nut on it we're going to move on that's going to downpipes you're going to fan commit hardware and then the to bolt basket here one grabs like bang some same thing goes with these down pug see there's peanuts on this style of the band clamp like at one of the locking nut you don't want to have to throw that one down more than you have to a cute little gasket hardware you can bolt it up into a jig so that we know with the stock Pat meets up at both in here you just want to put all the stuff on loose for now finger tight you can still have some adjustability now comes the fun part of installing the waste gates in the dump tubes this seems to be the issue that most people have or where most people have issues like a fishing thing it's a very tight package back there with three and a half inch down pipe in both some tubes and wastegate we're going to walk you through the easiest method to install these how they fit give you a rough idea of the angle that the waste gates are supposed to be mounted to the manifold and things of that nature for selecting spring pressure on the twin screw of manifolds is a little bit different than a single throw manifold standard rule of thumb is roughly 50% of your target boost that you want to achieve still to 101 30 psi run 15 pounds spray these we've noticed you run around 30 percent of the desired boost level if it's a creep spot of where you want to be if you want to run you know say 40 psi run up 12 to 15 psi sprint one thing you want to make sure when you go to install these is that you don't forget the firing range as a little through we're steeper through down in here for this firing ring slides down in there and not what whiskey you have gone you know seen exactly at the time being for perfect is the install guide where I leave the firing ring just make sure that you include them in British hit by the way first wait gate that I like to put on is the one located closer to the passenger side of the car let's do this you're going to take the big clamp for the inlet a small implant for the output when you do this you want to make sure that you put these in a place you're going to be able to access the hardware because when you're reaching over the back of the car you don't have a whole lot of room for activity the first place to get on leave these loose here let's start off the passenger side jump to this one you run along box to down play get it on there loose and you'll have to go back and make slight adjustments to it so it's pretty close ha take the driver's-side wait Kate step aside wastegate soon this will actually run a long talk the dump [Music] [Music] next thing we want to do is we want to take the turbo get the drain line on as to what we do is we put a small amount of red RTV on this plain surface and we use the tooth to slide nut to screw that on there you can also at this time put the water fittings on which is this m14 by one and a half with a cross washer on the other side as well and all those down and we'll move on to the next step the next part need to be pretty careful with will actually remove the compressor housing off the turbo and attach the soft line loosely to the hard line you don't want to put the 60 on the hard line and the ninety goes to the flock you're wouldn't want to route it towards the drain line fitting on the block make the hard line in there first for those be a healthy turbine I'll put a little diagram up it shows how these little wing tab needs to be located you can size it surveillance it just take your time don't rush doing this you don't want to bend in any thin I always find it easiest to leave the center section housing both loose to the distance they'll rotate for when you put the brand on look at that on there just being too tight for now and you can go back through and walk down these the next thing I want to do after you walk this center section down is move on to the corn line you're going to take the shorter of the two coin lines that goes on the front of the turbo and run to the coolant crossover pipe on the back side of the motor key right here let it go on there just reuse the factory clamp on that one and this one will thread in south side of the turbo laundry up to two will run along the back by going to the thermostat housing up here thread on the back one thing I did forget to mention you're going to want to install a ceiling around the lower coolant hose in the drain line and you're going to want to use whatever is left to cover the first part of this coolant hose that runs to this thermostat so after you install the coolant line you want to put the compressor cover back on the disturb oh the the clearance between the wait Kate and the compressor cover right here is pretty tight when you put this on you're going to want to go to the smaller part of the turbo down here slide it in and then rotate it up and this compressor cover is actually one of the last things that you'll tighten when installing the kit so just put that in it easy place to get to for when you install the upper intercooler pipe a lot of last things you'll have to do is install the oil feed line what we do just run it towards the front of the car you'll take the two supplied P clamp and you run them up top on the valve footer right here that's the pull the valve cover both out right through the P clamp and then tighten the valve cover bolt back down you run the feed line along the valve cover and then wrap it down into the feed line on bottom here so that's pretty much it the hard parts done the hot parts gate is installed the only thing left to do would be to install the intake and the upper intercooler pipe we always recommend for people to leave the compressor cover loose while you install the intercooler pipe get everything to line up and then go ahead and tighten it down if you have any questions if you'd like to see more info on this product I'll put a link down in the
