Dyno Testing an EBAY "Turbo Power Launcher" Intake Pipe! This Thing is Hilarious...

this is a nice question this is supposed to be a serious video okay Cooper said he would sell his v1 only for an S or 95 only for this one right nice is blinding alright serious video welcome to the first version of McFarlane Science Channel today we are testing a Chinese product that I purchased off of ebay took almost six weeks to get this is it's almost six weeks I waited for this product probably this is some high-tech equipment we're gonna be testing today on the dyno we have one of our nicest race cars in the fleet the crust Aang and I'm gonna show you what we got going James you want to walk them through what we got here this here is one of your finest f1z power launchers it hits a power power line water now it is your power to the moon yeah now before we even open the box I want to show you guys what the reason why I bought this thing okay does it guarantee a lot of something that's what this says guarantees all the power it's a racing sport well this is a guarantees all the power look at that it just says racing sport that's a serious for the brand turns your car into an f1 machine clearly f1 cars run these now you guys aren't gonna believe this and I could barely believe it but in the photos on the ebay advertisement they showed a dyno graph with an increase of 10 horsepower I mean that's is that one three she means it covers it all yeah maybe in such a bag it was about 26 bucks now the other thing though to watch out for guys if you do purchase one of these I saw it listed for $80 but with a little bit of searching I was able to find the same exact product on eBay for only 26 but there was on walmart.com 480 be careful so I'm going to show you guys what's what's in the box here and it doesn't just come with the turbo intake it comes with much more we're talking three couplers which I don't know where the third one would really go cuz it's only got two ends well this is where you're messing up it's two couplers for your products and ones for you you put it on it's a bracelet oh how much constriction of my own oh wow okay it's very small hands though okay so that's why out yes this is what we're working with so essentially the way this is set up is there's just a shaft through the middle to two fans so if I spin the back it spins a fry it's literally like a turbo but I don't really understand it because if the air is going in it's spinning in the air going out it's supposed to push it I don't really understand how it works to be honest but apparently it redirects the Arians is such a turbo Matic form that we're gonna pick up power turbo Matic yeah and that's what we're on the dyno to do today are using the housing right now see the funny thing is if you spin it even just look at how unbalanced it is I don't think they can see it but it's shaking hey let's grab an air tool and spin this thing up and just show them how I'm valves apart it already is it is what it is if it comes apart before the testing you know that's just it's better to not have it go into our engine I suppose okay careful how unbalanced it is I just hold it lightly oh my god you feel it vibrate huh look yeah that's been in the wrong way no it's the same fan on both sides you can't open it the wrong way then wolfy blowing on this side and spin it versus this side it'll push for cool air nope just blow it like that's getting kind of hot sitting a little warmth in it see I just don't know how long something like this would last if somebody legitimately bought this and put it in their intake I mean how long before the bearings that are in this puppy blow apart and suck into the intake one time the launcher for nothing that's Jacob maybe it's the launcher then launch your piston out the side of your blog launch your herring into the top of your piss yeah so guys the plan is to be able to test this on our Mustang it obviously has too large of an intake because it's a full-blown race car so what we're doing is we are choking down the intake using this PVC now this is going to limit the power on the car quite a bit because I mean we're going from almost a 4-inch hole to a two-inch hole but we wanted to make sure that we were able to test this back to back by having just a piece of PVC and then having a piece of PVC with this in the middle that's gonna be the only way to really test it back to back and have it controlled test versus a test with this so we're gonna do our first two poles right here with just this piece of PVC in the intake one insert it there Dan Cooper and we're gonna throw some duct tape on there make sure there's no vacuum leaks we're gonna do a poll like this definitely gonna limit the power of the car but we're gonna do two polls that we're gonna average those numbers together then what we're gonna do is chop this here chop it here and put this in here so the pipe stays the same exact length but it has the turbo f1z launcher in the middle of it I will honestly be blown away if this is not a restriction and it actually picks up power because to me this appears to be a restriction with fans facing the opposite direction on to sit on two sides of a shaft I really not convinced I can't imagine right guaranteed ten horsepower I mean I better get my money back if this thing doesn't pick up ten horsepower and if it does I will be I'm buying another one yeah that would be so impressive so right now we're gonna fire up the dyno we're gonna make two polls and if this thing picks up power of this gossip I will be blown away all right first of all can we get some estimations on power with the two inch PVC pipe restriction 189 horsepower really I'm going over 201 215 super what do you think 175 y'all got no belief it's a super is that two inch okay this might be is kg power folks strap yourself in your seat at home I don't want anyone get hurt with this long runner it might make some torque serious setup oh man step away [Music] James James [Music] if he's getting out of doing Pricer but have all variables and saved some ban on fully warmed up we're good yeah same da I ate a blast shield [Music] nothing is right my goodness 93 where the power is belly just at 5,000 rpm I thought you're going for a top speed run that was dude it just took a while I'm curious to see what its gonna do without that restriction on there but look at how the power goes up in the middle and it just starts falling yeah well that's kind of what Jeremy was talking about what short-shifting yeah all right let's try another poll right here back to back and we'll average those two numbers together that'll be our baseline of lift of PVC pipe Wow all right 194 [Music] master Sam exactly a hundred and ninety-four horsepower we have our average I mean that's perfect that shows that the car is consistent made less than one horsepower more on the second pull our average for PVC pipe no turbo intake f1z launcher sport race is a 194 now we're going to add the can we do one without the PVC yeah its last one I said we take the whole thing off that's probably like no filter max power where you put it as importer to that are so sort of further away yeah the thing is I don't know I'm in here to be affected by being too far down here too far down there let's just put it in the middle the important thing is gonna be keeping the pipe the same length that is just good this safe and out of the center so if we had a different length pipe that could really play with it because the longer it is the more restriction it's gonna be that that's why we're gonna do two cuts here to keep the whole pipe the same length with the turbo shooter 3000 inside of it no table you know how we whoa whoa hey how they did rubies turbo kid one thing I want to point out and it's not centered I mean that's booked suppose I do want to point out they had a small error in their design if you coupler this thing too close to the next pipe the fan actually sticks down a smidge there so appearances so it'll either shave down the blades or it'll just not move at all then then I think you really got a problem so you gotta use your couplers wisely install your f10 yeah we're screwed it's no directions whatsoever naturally naturally please know it does not matter which way it goes in we checked it's wrong both ways pretty much like this [Music] we don't want the sliding or vacuum leaks or nothing of that matter that has to be a restriction now that there is no way it's gonna pick up power let's go the air through it make sure it's quality camera cop pelted by pizzas of baby say yeah they can see it if you can you can hear the vibrate yeah we might have to get hit spinning with hair at one point in the car one here on the tiny ho much Wow for like a last-ditch effort to make some power all down one horsepower all right try and hold it so it doesn't have it started vibrating in shape yeah don't drink you away all right we gotta do another poll get the average oh she's spinnin haha God now we lost more power wait lots more power losing power oh boy Wow there you have it folks depressing numbers yeah I'm bummed yeah they look decent out of money fat thing yeah have you thought about blows my mind that that pipe had a pen horsepower restriction and I mean it's pretty crazy it only four inches down to two that's really surprising amazing how it consistent the charts look at the this is really funny [Music] look at that so we're talking a 10 horsepower difference and look at the gap yeah because all the other ones were so consistent that it made this gap look like a major power game but we're talking ten horsepower by removing the filter for an off today's episode we're gonna show you how to make real power mats with nitrous one little hit I see it see you out there work and we have confirmed that nitrous does in fact still work tested to this day so don't put one of these in your car highly not recommended but we are going to throw this in a random shirt that's
