what's up guys welcome to new Unreal Engine 5 tutorial and today I'm going to show on how to export and import your model from blender into Unreal Engine 5. it's going to be a very easy video to follow so let's get started alright so the first thing that we have to do is go into blender and you can see that I have my model here um I used it from the internet guy I did not model myself this but okay so what we're going to do is go into um file and click export and I always suggest if you're gonna import something into Unreal Engine exporting it as an fbx so we're gonna click it and then I'm gonna basically um you know choose where you want to save the file in my case I will go ahead and save it into a certain place and then we will have some options on here in the right side now these are very important the thing is that we will not need to touch them right now um because there's not really a lot of things that goes into the jetpack normally I do recommend putting this one the path mode into copy and then um embedding the textures and then limiting into the selected objects and then going ahead and select and um basically your object in the scene then also going ahead and leaving the scales normal these uh minus set forward and uh we don't have animations so we can disable the big animation button and pretty much like that we have all these headings so now you can just put a name for example it's going to be my jet pack and then we can go ahead and Export it as fbx now we can go back into Unreal Engine and I can just go ahead and open my folder let's go ahead and drag it in into uh Unreal Engine and you can see that when I drag it in it will start to import it and in some seconds you'll see that we'll have some options so you can see that the first thing that we have is if we want to you know have a ssco to mesh or build nanite in my case I jetpack I don't want to have bones no and then I it's okay doesn't matter then we have some advanced settings and I do recommend enabling combined meshes if you export different parts um and you didn't join them previously in blender okay but in my case I'm gonna do that then we have some material um you know settings I do recommend uh that's in the create new materials uh on so uh and this like default so it will create uh the materials for you outside you can just say import o so it will also import all the things that it needs to to import now you may get uh some warning sometimes one important things about the smoothing groups in the fbx scene um just ignore that every time you put it it doesn't matter it always appears okay and you can see that it imported um my model my material and my texture so right now it's compelling students here so let's go ahead and just wait two seconds uh until they basically compile so we can and have a look at that more detail and you can see that it has uh successfully imported and assigned all the materials so if I go ahead and open it you can see that I have my material uh and models over here and it looks great and uh maybe if the case is that I created materials but it didn't sign the textured so what you can do is go ahead and just open up your material and basically manually add and assign uh the textures into their correct um place so for example um if you wouldn't have for example this the matu and it will be just like blank that sometimes it happens what you're going to use do is just drag your you know texture and just plug it into the base color and you have like um you know different normal maps and roughness you just drag them and also correct them uh so you can connect them into uh the specular roughness or whatever type of texture you have so yeah guys that's it if you enjoyed it tutorial and found it useful I really appreciate if you like the video and subscribe to my channel I have lots of unreal anti-factors uh as this one so if you want to check them out go ahead also leave a comment on any other online videos you want to see I know yes we all said bye bye [Music]
