it's very important for you as a singer to know your exact vocal range in fact that's the first step towards understanding your voice better now vocal range is a span of notes between the lowest note you can sing and the highest note you can sing but comfortably and with good sound quality now there's no use of singing a note if it sounds weak or strained right so any note you sing only if it sounds rich and you feel really comfortable only then you can say that it falls into your range so let's open up our keyboard app and learn a simple exercise to find our vocal range first we're going to find out our lowest note so let's start with C and then sing every note going downward remember to play both the white and the Black Keys so that you don't miss out any note let's pick uhh I so you can keep going on as long as you feel comfortable and sound good if you start sounding breathy like then you should stop right there because that note is not within your ring so try to find out the lowest good note that you can sing and make a note of it and now we come back to the middle C and start going up to find our highest note ah ah ah so in this manner you can keep going up as long as you don't feel any strain in your voice and that's how we find out our lowest and highest note now let's say your lowest notice s and your highest notice C so that means your vocal range is around one and a half octaves because from F to E is one octave and from the next F to C is around half an octave so all your warm-up exercises and every song that you sing should fall well within this range otherwise you may damage your voice for many more such videos download Vox guru the music learning app
