Thereโs some good stuff there, but I think a singer shouldnโt focus on placing the sound, just on properly developing the registers and coordinating them correctly

I never use the word โplacement โ. The video is about RESONANCE. It is part of singing: respiration-phonation-resonance. Without resonance, the voice is dull, lacks carrying power, and is very limited in vocal colors. Just balancing the registers is the phonation part. Resonance is what you do with your voice and is the truly magical part of singing.
