hey our friends here gonna be drawing a tie fighter yeah from star wars you need all of your drawing supplies we're gonna use markers you also need some paper and something to color with yeah all right let's draw this yes let's first draw the cockpit or the circle in the middle of our tie fighter and let's actually let's turn our paper like this yeah we're going to turn our paper horizontal this way so that we have more room so let's draw the circle in the middle of our paper i'm going to draw it about this big don't want to draw it too big because we need the wings the wings are huge then we're going to draw a circle inside of this one for the window and draw it about this big next let's draw we're going to draw these guidelines that come out from the center of the circle and we're going to come out about this far and we're going to do the same thing on the right we want these to be the same distance you could measure them if you want but we're just going to use our eyes to guess yes now we're going to draw the wings we're going to start here we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes up and we're also going to come in and let's repeat the same line on the right side you want those to be the same angle and also the same height then we're going to draw that same line but going down and we'll do the same thing over here now even though we're drawing a tie fighter and the wings are straight but we're drawing it in perspective so it's slightly we're going to see the whole wing going back yeah in perspective that's why we're drawing them angled now let's draw a straight line down and it's about halfway down the wing and we're going to draw another line here too and then we're going to draw a diagonal line that connects on the top and also the bottom and let's do that over here also and on the bottom okay now right here we're going to draw two shorter lines coming out on each side then let's connect the top line to the middle and then also to the bottom so it looks like a sideways v next we're going to draw the back of the wing we're going to draw another diagonal line that comes up and it's also going out and we'll do the same thing so we're going to draw we're going to do that same line over here so we want the same distance right here to match on this side too and we're going to draw that diagonal line going up also i drew a little curve okay now let's do the same thing on the bottom so we're going to come in the same distance and then we're going to draw that diagonal line going down same thing over here it's gonna look so cool in perspective it's gonna look like it's flying right out of our paper yeah now let's draw the top of each wing so we'll connect that inside line to the outside and i'm gonna make this one a little higher and then we'll do the same thing so it matches on both sides and then we'll connect the bottom of the wings too doesn't that look cool yeah it looks so cool next we're going to draw a v we're going to connect this line down to there and then we're going to connect the corner down to that spot also let's do the same thing over here connect down both sides and then let's do the same on the bottom so we're going to connect down to the corners and do the same over here on the right next let's add more details to the glass we're going to draw a octagon shape in the center but to do that let's first draw a small circle that matches the first one we drew now we're going to draw a line coming down in the middle and we'll also draw a line going up from the bottom now let's draw a line on each side also we're going to draw a line coming in from the left and from the right then we're going to draw diagonal lines in between each of these lines we're going to come in oh it's so cool it's looking so cool yeah next we can go around and connect each of these straight lines and it's going to create an octagon right in the middle of our circle that's a fun little trick don't you think yeah that's a really cool trick now we're going to draw the part on top of the tie fighter where the pilot gets in we're going to draw a line across the top and then let's also draw two circles down here for the guns yeah shoot the lasers jack we did it that's a really simple way to draw a tie fighter it was pretty fun right yeah i think we should add a few more details to make it look even cooler though yeah all right first thing we're going to do is go around the outside of each wing and we're going to draw the same shape but just smaller if we go too fast remember you can pause the video and take time to go around and add these details also now up here let's draw a straight line that goes across the v then we're going to connect down to that point then we're going to connect down here then a straight line and then draw a diagonal line going back into that center piece let's do the same thing over here we'll draw a straight line on the top and also on the bottom that makes a little easier and then let's draw a line diagonal to connect those two together and then also over here let's draw a diagonal line on the top and the bottom now let's make these braces on the tie fighter thicker we're going to draw a line just next to it to thicken up that line now let's add a few more little details to make it look really cool let's add a little bump here on the right i'm going to add another one right next to it you can also add another one just on the center on the arm that's coming out let's also add rectangle two rectangle shapes here and then i'm going to add another one right next to it and then i'm going to add two over here on the right let's add a diagonal line connecting from that inside rectangle shape to the circle and also on the bottom same thing on the right side ah it's looking really cool with all these extra details yeah now let's also add a rectangle shape right here on the left and on the right of the glass now i know some of these details probably don't look exactly like the movie you could add more details you could also leave some of this off to keep the lesson a little easier let's just add maybe one more little thing right here on the left and also on the right and i think we're done we did it it looks awesome and we still need to do one more thing to our drawing my favorite part color it yeah we need to color them this part we're going to fast forward one more time but at the end you can pause the video to match the same coloring you ready to fast forward yeah now we didn't add thickness to the frame so if you color in the window black the black lines don't show up anymore do they yeah so that's okay you just go back over it with a white colored pencil or before you color it in you could thicken up the glass frame there you go you did it you finished coloring your tie fighter it looks so awesome jack now you guys at home could pause the video right now to match the same coloring you could also add a background maybe it's in space and there's lasers coming out that would be way cool if you drew the lasers make sure you don't draw them straight you could draw them coming out so that they look like they're in perspective too yeah just like the wings we hope you had a lot of fun drawing your tie fighter yeah we hope you had a lot of fun and i'm sure your drawings turned out really cool we love drawing with you and
