hey your friends today we're gonna draw a titanic yeah we're gonna draw that really big ship called the titanic we hope you're gonna follow along with us you need something to draw with we're gonna use markers you also need some paper and something to go with all right what was that i just flipped it away oh okay all right let's draw this yeah let's first draw the water we're going to draw a line right across our paper and we can draw it kind of wobbly or bumpy all the way across and we're drawing it horizontal so that we have our paper horizontal so that we have lots of room now over here let's draw the front of the ship we're going to draw it's kind of a diagonal line we're going to go a little bit below the water but most of it is above the water yeah good now we're gonna draw the top of the ship and we're gonna draw a line that comes across above the water and then we're going to stop before we get to the edge of the paper right about a big ship it was huge yes now over here on the end or the back of the ship we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes in and then we're going to come out towards the water and then we're going to draw the same depth we're going to go the same depth as we did on the front so the same amount is below the water now let's draw the bottom of the ship and we're going to draw a curve we're going to come down and then across and then right before we get to the end we're going to curve up for the rudder now right above the water we're also going to draw another line just barely above the water all the way to the very back the bottom of the ship was kind of a red color and then the top was black okay now we're gonna come in a little ways from the ship and we're going to draw the top we're going to draw the top of the chip draw a little line coming out yeah and then we're going to draw we'll do the same thing back here we're going to come in from the back of the ship and draw a little line coming up okay now let's connect those lines i'm going to turn my paper it's a little easier sometimes to draw when you turn your paper diagonal yeah diagonal and we're going to draw another line that comes up and we're going to do the same thing back here now we are drawing we're trying to keep the lesson a little easier so we are leaving out some of the details we're just going to keep the shapes really basic then we're going to come in just a little bit over here too and then we're going to do the same thing we'll connect these two lines and there's so many little things this ship is so big and because we're drawing it kind of small actually it's gonna be hard to get all of those little windows let's add one more level to the top i'm gonna start here we'll draw a little more line coming out maybe this one's in a little more this way and then we'll connect those two lines also kind of looks like a cake on a plate it does layers of cake yeah now let's draw the smokestacks coming out of the top we're going to draw four of them so we want to make sure that we leave enough room for all of them so we're going to draw two lines we're going to draw them diagonal like this coming out yep and then the one on the front can be a little bit longer so that we can draw a line coming down all right now on the very top let's draw another small rectangle shape at the very top okay now we're going to repeat that same step back here we're going to draw another diagonal one we want this to be the same length in the same size as the first one we drew we're just going to repeat the same steps connect the top and then we'll draw a little rectangle at the very top all right now we want to try to make sure that we're spacing these evenly we're just going to use our eyes to guess i'm going to draw the diagonal lines like this first yeah you could draw the other one in between you're doing such a great job hadley and then we're going to connect the top and then let's draw that little rectangle shape at the very top of each smoke stack now let's draw a rectangle shape on the very front so we'll leave a little space here and we're going to draw another line up so two lines on the front and then we'll connect the top we'll do the same thing on the back draw a line up on the very back and then come in maybe this one's diagonal let's draw that one slightly diagonal and then connect the top if we go too fast what can our friends do pause the video yeah you guys can always pause the video if you need extra time now we're going to draw the mast one on the front so we're going to draw a diagonal line coming up and we're going to draw one right here on the back also we want these to be the same length and if we want we can make these a little thicker towards the bottom see how i got a little further away at the bottom and also on the back one okay now let's add the rope that's in between these two masks so we're going to curve down and then back up do you know why they had a rope here they had lots of ropes all over the whole ship and that was i think to stabilize all of these things so they even had ropes holding up the smoke stacks too just just to help make it more stable and now we're going to draw a diagonal line coming up from the front of the boat up there to the top of the mask and we'll do the same back here on the back except i'm going to go about to the middle of this rectangle shape on the back now we could add a lot more maybe we will later when we're coloring but let's add a flag at the top of this mask so i'm going to extend it past the rope and then add a little rectangle shape on the end i think this was the us flag then let's add another one back here we're going to draw instead of a rectangle we're going to extend out two lines i think this was the ship flag and then we're going to draw a sideways v let's add also a flag on the very back so we just draw a diagonal line and a little rectangle at the end you did it perfect what are we missing on our ship the windows now this part we're going to fast forward because there's so many there's so many but you guys can pause the video and take time to add the windows on your titanic drawing too now we're just adding little dots and we're just going to draw them all the way across on each of the layers let's also add windows up here on this front rectangle shape and on the back rectangle shape there are more windows down here below the deck but we're going to color this top part black at the end and then we're going to go back over it with a white colored pencil to add those windows in let's first come back here we're going to add a line coming straight down for the rudder now let's also add a rectangle shape right here on the bottom corner then we're going to put the propeller inside so we're going to add a propeller right here and we're just going to add a sideways t is that cool then we're going to add another propeller right here we can just draw another sideways t we did it hadley we finished drawing the titanic it looks really cool but it's gonna look better once we color it this part we're gonna fast forward but at the end you can pause the video if you want to match the same coloring you're ready to fast forward [Music] happy gimme five i love how your titanic turned out all colored in did you have fun yeah you can be super proud of your drawing we used a white colored pencil to add those extra windows a lot of extra windows on the black section of the ship i also added more ropes but you can leave that off to keep the lesson a little easier i also love that you added waves with your white colored pencil we hope you had a lot of fun drawing the titanic yeah we do we hope you had a lot of fun and we'll see you later our friends goodbye hey parents and teachers
