hey friends sarah john lola from obi-wan kenobi yeah lola is the really cute little robot for leia that follows her around and protects her we hope you're gonna follow along you need your drawing supplies we're gonna use markers you also need some paper and someone to color with yeah you ready to start yes let's first draw lola's eye right in the middle of our paper we're going to draw a circle i'm going to draw it about this big not too big about that size there you go then let's also draw another circle around it for the border come around and then connect where we started up at the top now let's draw the inside of the eye we're going to draw another circle that's a lot smaller this looks like this the bigger circle is for the lens and then this looks like the camera that's inside we'll draw even smaller one inside of that so this inside part moves around and let's draw a short line that comes out on the left and also on the right there you go and then we're going to draw another curve upside down u that connects those two short lines together we did it we drew the eye now let's draw the body shape we're going to start here and draw a horizontal line that comes across almost all the way to the other side looks like a big mouth huh yeah and i could have drawn that a little bit lower but that's okay we're practicing right yeah okay now let's draw a short diagonal line up on the left and also on the right and then we're going to draw a big upside down u or rainbow line we're going to start here we're going to come over the eye like this and then we're going to come back down and we're going to connect over to the other side there we go keep going over the eye and then back down yes you did it okay now let's draw there is another circle over here on the left side and we're going to draw it squished since it's going around the side we're going to draw an oval shape that's tipped also it's kind of diagonal and then inside of this let's draw a smaller one that matches and then the bottom part of the body was red so we're going to draw another line that comes this way we're going to connect we're going to imagine it going behind the oval we'll connect to this circle yes and then we're going to imagine that going behind two and then coming out on the other side it totally is starting to look like lola next let's draw the bottom part of the body we're going to draw a short line down on the left and also over here on the right this also look like lola's mouth we're going to draw a horizontal line that connects those two lines together then let's also draw a short diagonal line down on the left and also on the right and then let's draw another curve to connect these but this one's not as tall as the top part it kind of looks like we're drawing a hamburger a space hamburger star wars hammer this looks like the top bun and the bottom bun it's the bottom bun's not as big as the top yeah okay now we're ready to draw the legs let's draw a little rectangle shape right here in the bottom in the middle so we'll draw two lines down and then we'll draw a line to connect those then we're going to draw another line next to each side and then here we're going to draw a straight line horizontal line that comes out to the left and a straight horizontal line that matches but comes out to the right then let's draw two more lines down on each side that match these inside lines and then we're going to connect those together also let's go all the way across and connect to the middle there we go we'll just keep it nice and simple okay now let's draw the legs coming down we're going to draw two lines about this length on the left and then we'll draw the same length on the right next to each other i'm going to draw mine a little bit longer on each side and then let's connect the bottom of each leg and let's add more details on the legs i'm going to draw two lines here kind of looks like socks for our droid and two on the other side and then let's draw another one that's a little further up and then let's add even more details i'm going to draw a line that comes down right in the middle on each side and then let's draw a little i don't think they're buttons but we'll just draw two little details two little rectangles on the outside of each leg let's add one more little detail up here another rectangle up on this other square there we go okay notes add another layer so down here at the bottom let's draw a the line coming out past the leg on each side and then two short lines that come down do the same thing on the right two short lines that come down now let's draw the feet i'm going to draw another horizontal line that comes out even further on each side and we'll do the same thing over here i like repeating the same steps on the left and the right when it's symmetrical yeah we can practice next let's draw the inside of the foot we're going to draw a short line down this way and also match on the other side for the inside of the foot then we're going to draw the toes sticking out this way so we can draw a diagonal line that comes down to the left and also down on the right and then right here we're going to draw a short line down now see here on this left side yes i was just going to say you might need to draw the inside line a little bit longer so that these two lines come down and match in the same place so you could also draw oh i like how tall your your toes are so you could draw this one oh it's awesome and then i'm going to connect the bottom of these two we'll do the same thing here i like how tall your feet are and then you can connect them too there you go and it also kind of looks like your feet might be just pointed right towards us then we're going to draw a rectangle shape right here in the corner and another rectangle shape on this corner and we did it there's the feet now let's add the antenna lola had a little antenna coming out the back right in the middle we're going to draw a line about this tall and we're going to draw another line right next to it there you go and then right at the top we're going to draw upside down u to connect and then we can also draw a little line across the top i love your little antenna it's perfect now we're missing one of my favorite parts about lola the winks yeah definitely the wings were one of my favorite parts they look like ears but also i think it helped lola fly or navigate kind of turn and stuff but also the wings could go back into the body so you could leave it just like this if you wanted to or you could draw one wing up and one down a little but let's draw them the same so we're going to draw two diagonal lines i'm going to start here and we're going to draw a diagonal line that comes down and it's going to touch the curve right here but then extend out past so we're going to start close to antenna come down straight and then touch and then come down so it's right in line with the edge yeah just like that then we're gonna repeat that same step over here so we gotta start try to start in the same spot and then come down on the left side then we're going to draw a little curve in the corner like this and we're going to come straight or diagonal up to the right and then we're going to try to create that same diagonal line but going the other way i'm going to turn my paper like this turn it like that yes good job and then we're going to draw a big curve that comes down and connects to down here and then we'll do the same thing on this side and we could maybe i'm going to extend this one out further so it looks like this wing is up higher this one's up higher and then this one's down lower and then i'm going to curve down i love that your two ears or wings look the same that's awesome now we're going to draw a curve that starts here we're going to curve down and then connect to the bottom and then we'll do the same thing over here curve and try to match and then come down and connect awesome we did it we finished drawing lola looks awesome except we're not completely done we're still in any color yes this part will fast forward but at the end you can pause the video to match your same coloring you ready to fast forward yeah [Music] awesome we did it we finished drawing and coloring lola and she turned out super cute yeah she looks so much better coloring she does i hope our friends will pause the video to match our same coloring i also used a white colored pencil to add highlights to make it look more 3d but you can leave that off to keep the lesson a little easier we'll feel a lot of fun drawing lola we do we hope you had a lot of fun i think she's my new favorite droid me too we'll see you later our friends goodbye [Music]
