How To Draw A Gingerbread Person With Santa Hat

hey friend Sarah and John gingerbread man yeah and a girl we hope you're gonna follow along with us you need your drawing supplies we're going to use markers you also need some paper and something to go with yeah and to color with we're going to color with markers so we're also using marker paper to draw you ready to start yes let's first start by drawing the mouth we're going to draw a little smile in the middle of our paper and I'm drawing a little towards the top so that we have room for the body and then we're gonna let's draw the mouth open I'm gonna draw a big Jelly Bean shape or turn that smile into an open mouth yeah and then we can draw the tongue and also I'm going to add teeth you could also change your gingerbread boy or girl any way you want you can change the mouth you can also change the eyes let's do the eyes next let's draw a circle over here on the left and a circle over here on the right there you go then let's draw a smaller Circle in the top left of each eye and then color in the big circle but leave the little circles white we're going to fast forward this part so remember to pause the video and take time to color in your eyes I'm also going to add eyelashes to my eyes and you could leave this off if you want to now let's draw the head we're going to draw a u shape underneath so we're going to start here and we're going to go underneath the mouth and then back up over next to the other eye and I'm going to go a little higher on each side so that these lines are past the top of the eyes I love how big you're drawing yours you can also extend these up just a little bit higher and then let's draw a Santa hat on top of our gingerbread person we're going to draw it looks like water waves I'm going to draw big bumps and little bumps all the way over and connect to the other side there you go keep going you did it this is the fluffy part of our Santa hat let's draw the top of it now we're going to start here and I'm going to come out from this side and we'll come up like that and we can do the same thing over here on this side then we can add a couple bumps here and I'm going to draw the rest connecting over to the other side I love how big our Santa hat is getting okay now let's draw the top of the Santa hat we're going to start here and we're going to draw a curve that comes up over and then we're going to come out to the side on the right will come out further there you go where you're drawing your gingerbread boys so big yeah okay now let's draw the rest of the Hat we're gonna start here just like we did on this side but we're going to connect or not connect we'll just draw it curving in and leave a gap here then we're going to start here and add a point and then Connect into the Hat then we could draw the end of the Santa hat I'm going to draw more bumpy lines it looks like a popcorn a piece of popcorn there we go we did it we finished our gingerbread person's head now let's draw the body we're going to draw the arms first I'm going to start here oh we could draw two little points to help us so we want these points to be even on both sides there we go and then we're going to draw a sideways u-shape we're going to come out to the left come around and then we're going to come back in but look I'm stopping in the same place that we started so directly above it there you go and then we're going to repeat that same shape or same sideways U shape for the other arm nice good job now this next part I'm going to draw a little dress on my gingerbread girl and on yours you could draw two lines straight down I'm going to draw my lines instead of drawing them straight down I'm going to draw them coming out for the dress and you could draw them straight down to like maybe right there yeah there you go then on mine I'm going to draw two short lines coming in and then I'm going to draw the rest of my legs oh I'm going to draw them coming in just a little bit further I'm going to draw the rest of the legs coming around like this and then back up and then I'm going to draw another one like this around back up and on yours you could do the same thing curve around oh maybe you could put a guide point right here and then you could draw that will split the body in half and then you could draw one leg here coming up so it curves around and makes two U shapes yeah you did it oh let's add two little buttons you could also add a bow tie you could decorate your cookies any way you want your gingerbread cookies I'm gonna add two little buttons right here in the middle of my gingerbread person and you could also add a bow tie if you want I'm gonna draw a wavy line right here on the bottom of the dress like this and I'm going to add another wavy line right above it this is frosting I'm decorating my cookie now you could add wavy lines for the bottom of the legs and also the the end of the arms I gotta do that too I'm going to add a little wavy line right here and another one right next to it and then I'm going to do the same thing on this side and maybe I'll even add a wavy line underneath the chin for the top of the dress Austin we did it we finished our gingerbread people and they look awesome except we're not completely done we still need a quart yeah this is my favorite part let's pick out our colors and we'll come back we're using our art for kids Hub markers if you don't have the same set that's okay you can use whatever you have at home you can use different markers crayons colored pencils or even oil pastels now the colors that we picked out are 54 that's our Green Oh but the main color that we're using is a brown 103 and then we also have 15 red 66 Blue and 341 341 is a pink color we'll use for the tongue now this part will fast forward but remember you can pause the video and take time to color your drawings and you don't have to color them exactly how we color them you could just use our drawings as inspiration you could also change and add even more decorations you could even draw more gingerbread people alright let's fast forward okay foreign we did it we finished drawing and coloring our gingerbread people and they turned out awesome yeah I really like how they look colored in yeah I hope our friends will take time to color their drawings also you could even add a background we used our blue marker our light blue marker to add shading to the Santa hat and also the frosting but you could leave that off to keep the lesson a little easier I also used a darker brown number 94 to add shading on the gingerbread part will you feel a lot of fun drawing
