all right to disassemble your ak-47 first push this button in lift up and remove the dust cover then what you're going to want to do is slide this ahead take off the spring tension this is your recoil spring and put that there slide the hammer back and once it gets all the way back it will come up and the rest of the way out come up through those tracks right there now what you're going to want to do is start moving the bus stock two screws right here and that screwdriver is holes good idea to have a little tray around and keep your parts in all right now here's where it gets a little bit more tricky what we're going to do the best way to do it I think a lot of people try to slide a screwdriver in here but that's going to probably have a better chance of doing damage to your stock what I like to do is get it right in here you can see that right there tap it in with a hammer just a little bit and if you just pry this way see how it comes right off just like that now you have no damage to the edges over there all right now up here by the front sight post there's a lever you're going to want to do is get that in a straight up position what that's going to do is move that little piece right in there you're going to allow your gas tube to come up and then it will come right off the end there just like that I now ask for the bottom one there's a little tiny lever right there sometimes I can't get it with my hand just like that what that does is that allows this whole collar to go forward just like that then you can get this off this one I actually did have to get a little bit in here because there's not any other spot to pry on it first of all don't forget like me to take the cleaning rod off of course and there you go now you have your receiver and barrel you can also if you'd like to go further take that screw out and they'll take your grip off it threads into that little square down in there there you can see that it's about all it is for that also I know some people have a hard time figuring out how to get this off it's really not that hard once you know I seen people just trying to pry these apart and even breaking it it's quite a bit simpler all you really have to do is just twist and it comes out the bottom just like that I want to go back in the same thing in Reverse slide this into there let's back and if you get it close you can try to move this tab and it will actually suck it in just like that let's slide down to the end of the gas tube down in the lever goes back just like that fronts assembled bolt can be a little bit tricky make sure that the the part that holds a firing pin is all the way forward see this will actually go back and forth and then you'll have to actually depress the hammer a little bit you can slide it ahead spring back in nope can't do that yet put this back in now this some people try to shave the wood off to get it to going better I wouldn't do that just to make sure it's a tight fit for later I like to do is just get a dead little hammer on the on the butt just like that the holes line up just perfect I don't need to get too tight you end up taking your stock off a few times like I have with refinishing or swapping them out or anything you might restricting the wood over time so you don't need to get too crazy now for the recoil spring sure it slides in its groove good before you just let go desk cover it's got to go in a little groove in the front just like that now the final touch is the cleaning rod just like that good is now
