How to cut a video

here's a really quick way to cut out parts of a video or how to trim the beginning and end of a video start by heading over to clip champ.com and then log in or create your free account I've put the link in the description below once logged in you'll be taken to the homepage where you'll click on the create a new video button and then you'll be taken straight into the editor the first thing you'll need to do is import your video clip that you want to cut by heading over to the import media button selecting the asset and hitting open it will then load into your media library like this and you'll simply drag and drop it straight into the timeline now let's say there's a section in the middle of the video that you want to cut out for example in my video I want to remove this section here to do that drag the Seeker to the start of the section you want to remove in this case it's about here then navigate over to the scissors icon and click that to action the split you can see an instant cut has been created in the video now drag the Seeker to the end point of the section you want removed then click split and again the video will be cut now we're left with this section here in the middle and to remove it just click on it and it will highlight in green so that you know you've selected the right clip then just hit delete on your keyboard and now delete the Gap that was created by hovering over the Gap and hitting the trash can icon now when I play the video back you can see that section of the clip is gone and my video has been cut you can also trim your video for example if you'd like to remove a small section of the start or end you'll click on the video in your timeline then hover your cursor over the start of the video then drag the handle right to cut away as much of the video as you'd like following the same steps to trim the end of the video just drag the handle left to remove as much as you'd like until you're happy with the trim then just delete the Gap from the beginning if you want to be very precise with the trim drag the Seeker to the point you want the video to end then hit the split icon which will cut the video then just delete the part of the video that was cut and now the video has been trimmed very precisely once you're completely happy with your video you can go ahead and Export it by heading to the export button selecting your video quality and once the export is complete hit save to your computer and it will download straight to your device already for you to share and that's how to cut or trim a video if you like this video don't forget to like And subscribe to our channel for our weekly how-to videos
