How to cut a hole in ceramic tile for toilet flange with an angle grinder

so they're gonna cut this hole for the toilet I'm gonna place this wet this extension ring that I got punching you also uses a template directly with a hole supposed to bow then I'm gonna get another time please top of the first top so that it just touches that this top here is what I'm gonna be stopped don't lay my towels so wrap a line like that then you need this line right here so you send this line like that there you go no take this just like that and Michael in that they want the flames when they put in to sit on top of the towel I'm gonna make this a little smaller okay this one out here I'm going to use this grinder with a four inch dry cut diamond blade like you see here to cut through tile to make the hole through the tile now you want to make sure that you're on a flat surface and and make sure in an open area well because it's gonna make a lot of dust so you want to make sure that that's can get out I mean I'm doing this is I'm gonna garage and garage door and Albany so to start you just get your diamond blade and just score a line all the way around you don't want to try and cut through it all at once and a spot you just want to you know make a groove all the way around where your the holes gonna go that way you'd only put like a groove all the way around in the inner circle and then once you've done that you're gonna go deeper and deeper and deeper it's not a rush and what I do is instead of trying to swing it around I make like a total of up and down and go in a little bit and push it into the into the groove that I just made and then pull it back up and then go a little bit more and just keep on going up and down with it I'm not trying to cut the circle all at once and you just keep on plunging it into that groove a little bit at a time going all the way around making the groove deeper and deeper until you cut all the way through most tiles you can do this and you know if you not careful the tile will crack and then you have to start all over again there's only bean and all the time that I'm doing this I've only come across a couple of tiles where it's be very difficult to do because the tile keeps cracking but most of the time you can if you're careful and you go slow you can do it in the first time and your first try so the key is to be patient and to go slow so that's all you do is just keep on going around a little bit at a time go deeper and deeper up and down plunge it in a little bit and then move around and then that's it and until you've always well getting close to the end here and almost all the way through and just gonna you know they might be a little spotty on there that's holding on just a little tap and that's it hole is done it's not a precision cut this one is not a precision cut because a flange will cover it okay so let me cut the top let's see the fish and that's exactly what you want
