what is that people's yoyoyoyoyo we got some technical problems papa we got some technical problems power went down at 7:27 and I was like ah that's not big deal just you know like two seconds and then oh yes alrighty that's great so we got power we got After Effects we got a lot of things to talk about so let's get this chat thing going on alright so guys I wanted to say a couple of things and now we're starting for a lot a lot of time for a long time you asked me how to make the ornamental you send me SMS a DMZ send me emails you said how do you do it I try to answer you with texts with all kinds of sending you different tutorials and stuff but this is the time guys you know this Korona thing is it everybody up and you're sitting at home and doing some I know what you're doing but I got a really good idea for you to be doing visuals so that's my aim in this livestream to give you tools to make visuals I will show you what you can do with with elements and the after-effects in a little bit of Illustrator and the main thing is that you can take this technique and apply it to your to your ideas I think copying it thank you Nadia I think copying it will not will not be so interesting you know so there is a guy who says still like an artist and it means don't copy but just take the techniques and be inspired and make some methane's of your own so today I'm trying to give you this framework that you can make visuals with and I want to tell you that you know sometimes it's a difficult because there's no motivation and you don't know when shows are coming back but shows we'll come back and we'll be back in full power and sometimes when I'm not motivated I'm just trying to imagine the day when shows are back and I want to ask myself did I do everything that I could to come back to performing full power or did I watch Netflix and with gaming and they wasted my time so [Music] okay we've got Internet as well for now let's keep it on the mobile because if I'll if I'll switch will have a hang and I'm gonna hang anymore anyway so when you know come back to performing full power that's the main thing I want to say and now we are going to start okay let me tell you let's see where we are okay so because we have power let's start with there is a loom let's let's pump up resolume I closed it because I wanted to save on battery I didn't know how long did we have when we have the power cut so now we're back in resolume and let me show you the final things that we are about to create so this is a mandala the seed of life and these are a few clips I created out of the same different camera angles and this is what I'm going to show you how I'm creating today and also I I can make different setups you know like I took this guy and I flipped it and duplicated I mean is transformed to move it to both sides this is with replicator and if you stay long enough we'll get to it in the end of this livestream I want to show you just this very nice color scheme that I created stratum is a loom it has to do with colorize and adding levels Oh what happened now okay we had another power cut what you think no no all right all right we had an hour another power cut maybe somebody stepped on the cable but we are still on guys we still on and we're going to get really strong this livestream so hang around another thing that I added was edge detection and creating this kind of look let's go through screen this is really nice setting in yeah everything is working from now so we are cool in the Ganga okay a one thing I would like to ask my partner is maybe we can get fan oh we have enough power to stick it in no no no we can we can get the fan he just don't take anything out yeah yeah no the Sun will go inside all right I had to run like hundred meters to the guys in the in the resort and asked them to help me and they came with with scooters and tried to see and then we got the cable it was it was a lot of fun so let's say let's see who's who and what's what so this is another look that we can make can create and I like it as well I'll show you later how to create it and this is okay for now let's close let's save there is a looming project and close it will be back to it later thank you very much we can close this this as well all right thank you guys tell me if the not on my own there because they're there yeah all right who the desert the desert all right so after effects went another again to the other screen but we are strong so Nadia is helping me out my partner in crime and she will be on your way on the chat if anyone will have an interesting question I want to show you first an overview and in the overview I will show you just the rough the rock thing you know like looking from 30 feet about the project I will show you the what do I have in my composition how is the element with the layer built and what different layer are created how textures are looking it will be really short in case you already know elements Twizy and and they kind of know what's going on and then we are going to go thank you very much and then we are going to go and create shapes in Illustrator thank you take these shapes and put them in element 3d and then build them on dollar in element 3d and then animate them on dollar and then create textures for this say mandala which is different which are different comps I will show you later and then we're going to show you how to animate the textures I'm not going to make all the mandala because it's going to take a really really long time but I'm going to show you how I'm connecting the textures and I how I'm animating them to run on the mandala and then we're going to talk about camera angles and render and then we're going to have some fun in resolume like I promised you and what's next is something I'm going to talk about your future so let's say go back to after and maybe we can actually let's open another preview let's use ally for it just that I want to before we start to talk about what is going on here anyhow this is important for us too to start everything so let's pause it for a minute so what we're seeing here maybe look for from the side what we're seeing here is a five layer mandala okay it is created from a base I call it background these are circles these are petals this is syrup this is a circle now this is Center and these are seed it's how I called it and that's how I'm going to build it and if I'm pressing the play you can see that on each one of the objects we got animated textures it's a really nice look I made it a few years ago I made the ornament a pack and really liked it and now I'm going to show you how I built it and some really important thing in all of this is having ambient occlusion you know when one object is creating shadow on the other one and this is something that really helps this look so now let me find let's open it with some photo viewer talam there you are guys do you recall and do you see so this mandala this beautiful seed of life is actually built from these parts from these collect from these shapes that I created in Illustrator okay Nadia how are we going are you on the chat no I don't see but now I'm going to open the questions here as well and we are communicating what I think went berserk when the power went off but show must go on and we are going on stronger so let's see what questions okay so Alex Arion live yo what are you running this system system on system config okay I'm running a laptop of Asus it's called GL 704 JW and I really like it and it has an RT X 27 T it has 32 gigabytes of RAM very fast SSD and it has 17-inch and because I'm traveling and traveling a lot I really have to have my system on a laptop so I can come open it and start working and also power cuts power cuts in Thailand less in India more in Asia it's not so stable so I have to I mean it's better for me to get a laptop so that's what I'm using a Martine yes I'm going to save this video for later because this is the real life you know we're going to continue this tutorial and it's going to be strong and I'm going to leave it live because this is real life Alex Thompson Thompson were wired there is a weird buzzing noise hmm maybe from the fan let me let's close the fan for a minute another do you hear the say the buzzing sound as well okay you got a buzz so I don't know let's say wait to see if it's better okay so thanks for the questions guys it's gonna say stay live and we are alive okay let's talk about the overview of this project now so we are now in this overview mode so in this overview I'm going to tell you about the seed of life I just showed you the tools After Effects element with the administrator but of course you can do it in blender you can do it in cinema 4d I just happened to do it in element 3d it's really simple configuration I like it that it's in inside After Effects because I can control stuff really good and I have all this after effect goodness to have to the animations later so that's the tools we're going to use and inside elements I'm going to show you groups materials replicators animations and extruding masks so let's start let me get the bodies from the microphone alright so I hope you can still concentrate and I'm going to go back now to element sorry too After Effects and I'm going to show you my project this is not connected to the project this is yes you can close it from now so I got an element 3d layer and this element 3d layer has it's unhide of these so these are all kind of cams so the way it's built this is my element 3d this is my element 3d power is back power is back honey respect so we can get AC going on sometime all right how it's built so we got the seed so we got here let's close this for a minute we got here a four five different masks this is the seed mask the circle mask petals mask and circle mask and background masks and we've got here a four different for different compositions so we got this composition it has the seed this composition has this petal this composition has the oval this one has the circle and this one the background so let me show you that these are animated animated textures each one of them each one of them in a different composition you see here we have the subtle movement of the cannot I need I need a cable because otherwise we're gonna have mayhem alright let me get you this here so we can see what I'm pressing yeah maybe two three hours thank you soon okay so the guy from the cable came and monitors cable but we're not going to give him no cable we are going to keep on going while we have it so each one of the these each one of these competitions is animating slightly see this the seed here is animating and all of them are coming inside and into elementary D so let's go inside m and 3d and check what is what there all righty so inside element 3d let's get different we get five different groups so Group one is the seed group two is this beauty the center group three is the petal group for the circle group five is this background each one of these objects has a texture on it and the texture is configured here in this custom path we'll talk about the place later I'm sorry this is the texture and they are configured here in this custom layer and this is something I'm going to show you later and this is it inside the element 3d and we are going to go back to cut our composition and we're gonna shine all these all this mess is going on here and I think we got our overview made and we can start now by first I want to show you how how I made this original or elemental pack I used masks inside After Effects okay so let's start by opening a new composition let's call it seed of life tutorial and we're going to get it 1920 by thousand 18 and we're going to keep it 30 frames per second for now and I'm going to do it I'm going to make it 16 seconds and one frame I'm going to explain you later one why I add one frame so here we go open the new composition the first thing I'm going to do is to not confuse later I'm going to trim it to 16 and carry on so let's start by adding a new solid and this window is coming here let's call it soul let's call it master so we created a new solid and in this solid we're about to get elements on it and mint and now we added elements to it so the way I created these things originally was to open a new solid and let's call it seed see the mask now let me get this thing back here so you can see what I'm typing so when we get a mask we can get the mask tool and draw a mask in kind of the shape over the seed that they are going to try and if we hold the story if you hold alt we can somehow you know tweak things and okay let's say that now we created this seed the buzzer okay all right so let's say okay let's keep it up sorry for the bad guys and let's say that we are we have this scene now and we go we are going inside the elements and in elements we got the custom layers in the customers we can put here designate the seed mask inside and let's save the project and now if we go inside elements and I'm going inside the scene set up and if I'll click extrude now voila we made something that resembles a little bit like the seed of the mandala and when I mean the seal of the mandala I mean this part right this is the part I created so here I created it so the problem with doing it in this way is the front view is that it's all you know like hand drawn and you see that the tip here the filter is not aligned and the side is different and you can you can you know solve this with doing a mirror but the mask tool in After Effects is not so powerful in my opinion so the way to create a really good shapes is using illustrator believe it or not so when we are going now to the next part of our presentation and this will be creating shapes and using illustrators precision to make shapes to use the shape builder tool inside to make some friends I will show you what I mean and organize everything before we take the shapes back to After Effects so let's get some illustrator goodness going on here and yes so what I did is I created a new artboard new document and the side of the document is 2048 pixels by 2048 pixels this is the size that my textures are going to be as well in so that's why I created in this size and I already created it so we can close it so in Illustrator let's see who's who we can click this we're actually in a circle so we can go to ellipse tool and in Illustrator if I'll go to the center it will show me the center will indicate where the center is and if it doesn't if you don't see this indication you have to go to view and smart guides this should solve it so what I'm doing is I'm holding the center and clicking it holding shift alt and control and pulling it okay I pulled it and now we created these ellipse here and let's first remove its fill we don't need the fill and the nice thing about illustrator that you see I made this circle and this circle is 1977 something pixels know as illustrator do me a favor I wanted 2000 pixel exactly so that's what I did or it did in English it's an 8 but in Hebrew it's an he so Thank You Ellis traitor and now what I'm going to do is to duplicate this layer so let's take this reference thing again remember we have a circle around here we got the old kind of circles inside in a second in the center so let's get it going on so what I'm going to do now is to take this circle it's ellipse copy and paste in front okay controller we'll paste it in the same same place control V we'll just throw it somewhere and it's not going to be so precise so we got this ellipse and I don't know if you were listening in geometry classes but I was I really liked geometry and when I was a student pupil and geometry how it's called Nadia no geometry geometry yeah no no geometry but when you sketch when you sketch stuff anyways never mind so I like to sketch you know I had this whiteboard with a pencil and eraser and then a line and I had to draw and it was really fun this is the only thing I liked about math anyways what we did now is we created a different circle which is half the size of this big circle okay so look at here 1000 pixel this guy and this guy here is 2,000 pixels it's its size so everything is cool we can now duplicate it again so control C control f and we create another duplicate alright now that says we got some questions on the bus sound came back as soon as you set powers back [Music] okay you say okay he's your plug a three-prong from a laptop didn't understand three to plug that took to remove ah you have to yeah but guys we are in Asia so we don't have we don't have this extension now it's better no bit better is good okay this is brilliant thank you antis antis thank you so much for joining and for purchasing the expanse the full power artist and this tutorial is going to help you create awesome stuff and I'm doing it for you also for you and also for all they are for the rest of you we're going to do it guys keep on watching okay so what we got here let's start naming them we call this BG will call this Center will call this something but what I can do now is I can lock these I hold the new circle that I made and I'm going to drag it while I'm holding shift and looky looky it snaps now we have some geometric power going on here this is a touching tangents exactly with this exactly in the center here and everything is looking awesome so now I'm going to copy F again and let's Lock this one as well and what I'm about to do now is take this tool which is a rotation rotate tool I'm going to click out and hold it and I'm going to click once this anchor I'm going to tell you mr. illustrator can you please create another copy of this 60 degrees to the Sun direction and it says yes sure as to be whatever you want so I'm just going to I can just move it by saying ok I can I can also copy it so I'm just saying copy it once and then I'm going to hold ctrl and duplicate it four more times one two three four times and looky looky what we have created here something that creates something that resembles resembles this the reason which resembles this because I created this illustrator as well alright so we got the shapes going on here everything is cool and now we are about to say okay this is nice I just want to make it to show you a that how we create this circular seed of life and now we can close a couple of layers here that we don't need okay because we just want to take some shapes here and three circles are not for me so these circles I just created them for preview they go bye-bye so now we have one two and three these circles we can just go and place them as well so we'll have him for the next action that I'm going to create and let's mark this one as well and what I'm going to do now is I'm going to use the shape builder ctrl M is the shortcut and here is this icon J builder and lookie lookie what the shape of the does the shape builder is it can take intersecting shapes and create shapes within these shapes so just let's close this one so we can see so what I want to do I want to take this shape here because this is my petal so I'm going to click and drag and looky looky we had three layers and now we have four and this is the layer we just created we can take the other layers one two and three and a bit of them this is it and this is it let's see so yes one two and three cool so we just gave birth to a new shape and we can call it petal that's great try gone on a tree maybe I know it was in Hebrew I don't know still Ramirez and it will come to me you know things are coming to me later and I will update everybody okay so we've just created a new different copy of this and this time we're going to take this cute guy here and we just want to hold the I mean have control shift M already is there and I'm clicking it we've got this new petal born there it is let's bring it here and let's call it seed all righty so here we have these parts of this seed of life a mandala and everything is cool so what we can do now is let's give them names I know that this one is going to be one just to make it clear the petal is going to be not now the next one is going to be the center then the petal then this is the circle and then the background okay so so just in order to make this tutorial clear for you I will give them names because later on we'll we'll get the stuff into elements it's going to be important and this one is five or one two three four five these ones we don't need them we create the shapes and I'm going to open a new layer now and in this layer I'm going to create two friends so I'm going to and it snaps pull it and it snaps all the way and it created a new shape and the size is 24 at 2048 pixels like our composition let's check this new shape and I'm going to copy and paste this shape again and I'm going to remove a few pixels going to 2040 and now I created here another another shape just a little bit smaller okay okay so that's already that's what we need to create inside of a illustrator and I think we can go to the next to the next part and this next part is extruding in elements I'm going to import it a import this is the illustrator shapes to elements to after-effects as masks and then use to configure it in elements as custom masks extrude them and get the quality going on I'm going to show you to you as well so what we're going to do we're going to take them one by one and copy them to elements so I'm taking this seed I'm highlighting it and I'm holding ctrl or shift and I'm copying these frames and ctrl copy thank you very much illustrator from now I'm going back to a elements to After Effects and this mask is was not sufficient I'm going to drop a control V right now and check this out we've got three masks two of them are already friends and the first one is this mask of the city and that's great because now we can go to elements we already designated this layer to be a mask so I'm going to go inside the scene setup and I'm going to extrude it again and this time let's go to front view lookie lookie everything is very very precise to the pixel okay so the only thing we got now the only thing that we got now is frame this weird frame that is happening because we have masks there so the way to remove this frame and this frame is really important because this frame is showing how everything is relative to this frame you see it later but when I created the seed in the middle a earlier it was created in the middle but right now because I have this frame this seed is relative to this frame it's something about the relativity of things and I can go on and on on it but just know that you need to do it in elements you got two different views one of them is material view or you can see all the material properties and the other one is the it's called mesh view here so in mash view and this is showing me what kind of masks I have and I can just turn this off and leave this mask on and everything is looking good and we'll go back to its called material view blacking out gas sip of water all righty righty so next thing I'm going to do is i'm going i'm going to create i'm going to create the bevel for this guy here so i made some tests and i found out that the best thing to have he are this setting so you got the bevel here we need to extrude expand edges etc etc and steve ramirez is that a plug-in in after-effects yes it's called element 3d it's a great plugin by videocopilot and i will include a link in the description when we are done here and the echo twisting says technical drawing perhaps quitting from germany yay go thank you okay we are going to create pebbles for this beautiful seed and the way to do it is to up the bevel size let's get closer here see what's going on so the better size is better link the edges let's turn on a Bible backside to have it on the back as well bagel backside I'm going to leave it at 5 and the Bible depth is going to be 1.65 I need some tests and that's what I liked so this is what I'm doing by the segments segments we can up it I know - let's put it on 10 oh maybe you can do it for less but that's for it that's it for now the extrude is going to zero and this is the shape that we created in elements you get a place we can control the quality of the vertices let's find it here tessellation so right now if you can see it's a little bit jagged we have a point here point here and if I up it to ultra we'll have it much more much smoother of course we can go all the way to extreme if you are the extremist type but for now and for this tutorial I will keep it on high for now because we get less vertices and everything works faster I can come back to here and up them before the render and that's about it for creating this seed bevel ok so let's close it for now and looky looky we got this sit here let's open a new and add a new camera so we can rotate around it the camera I'm going to open a 15 millimeter camera and then I'm going to go to a custom view and by pressing custom you can go here and or use f11 and shortcut and we can you see to maybe go closer and press C multiple times to get different gizmos and lookie lookie we created this thing here now ok so I think that once we created this we can go on and bring all the other masks from illustrator our friend so I'm going to do as I'm holding ctrl + B selecting and getting the center I'm going to press say ctrl C go back to elements open a new mask control Y I'm going to call it 2 Center and I'm going to call it mask so I know it's say the mask and let's paste it so we pasted this guy as well let's go back to illustrator and using alt tab to go to the last window a called control D select get the next one is number three I'm going to copy it go back to here create a new solid control Y call it three and this is gonna be a petal tallow yes and mask and we got it and we're gonna paste it on we pasted this guy going to toggle back to illustrator and hold ctrl again take this guy this time copy anyone call it for this is going to be a circle and this is going to be mask and we're going to take the last one now which is the five copy it and create a new solid call it five and it's going to be BG and mask okay so let's make them put them in order so way we know just to have a visual order here and three and four and five EEP all right let's get your name right okay so here we got five different five different masks with this mask this mask this mask nothing is at four and nothing is at five so five first I know it's copied so here we are and for some reason I didn't copy number four but everything is alright now things are in control guys okay so we got two five masks let's go back into this plugin it's called element 3d and we are going to designate each one of the each one of the masks inside elements so one seed mask 2 is going to be 2 Center 3 is going to be 3 petal 4 is gonna be for circle 5 is going to be 5 background chill out it's electrifying me okay alright so we're going to control save now and saving is always nice and I'm gonna go inside elements so the way element is built we got different groups and in the groups we got the extrusion models so what we're gonna do now is gonna control D and we got a new group let's call this group too just so we know what's what's and here I'm designated instead of one two two two a group number two and I'm going to go to the extrusion model and change it to custom path to remember the custom path we just created them inside outside of the same user interface and looky looky we got the center thing going on that's awesome we can just duplicate it again call it number three here we can call it also number three and in the extrusion model we're going to get it number three and we got the petal action going on right and I'm going to duplicate it again and do the same thing here I'm going to call it call it four and here I'm going to call it 4 as well this is our circle and last time I'm going to duplicate it and get it here and what to do now you must know better than me you go here and you go to custom path and this is the background great job so we got five different groups now for five different petals or parts of the of this mandala and we can continue on so I'm going to save it let's close these guys we don't need them let's try them they are just disturbing our interface and let's turn on elements again and voila we got some something is blocking our view what we need to do is to go to each of the groups and just on unable it okay and then we're going to deal with each loop in its time okay we are done with this part of extruding in elements EP if you're still here you are dedicated and you want to create visuals and I appreciate you for this it's going to take a while but you know a really good thing takes a while to create and you gotta be patient you know keep it patient and everything you know keep it a patient keep on writing and everything will happen okay let's see if you have any questions there questions I'm doing the same process in my After Effects nice yes who is it and Amanda respect this is dedication okay this is not entertainment for you this is real life okay Philips tracing girl how you made a greeting for Germany to a mate and you are following my story on Facebook I think and in Instagram yes and I really appreciate all the comments and it's really nice guys to have all of you a only on Instagram and be sharing the working process and getting feedback from you it's awesome and I really want to take this moment to thank you sorry hello from Tasmania Tasmania is in the house Nepal is in the house Nepal hello in a parlor I love Nepal okay next thing so what we did now we were extruding it in elements reading it will show how to get the shapes to after flexes masks how to use custom axe there how to get the extruding done the quality I showed you you know remember high ultra and the last thing there we are now in high I'm gonna stay high for now if anybody's here is high it's good for you okay in the next phase on our Odyssey building the mandala building them on dollar guys believe it or not we are going to build them on Donna now we have the five different parts already lined up there and I'm going to show you now I'm using replicators inside element 3d the plugin inside After Effects and how I use the Replicators to use to create the different petals how I position the objects one after the other a compensated size for depth I'm going to show you to you and adding ambient occlusion because I made the occlusion is the essence of life okay let's see about the comments Nadya thank you so much for a for curating the stream I don't know if I could do anything without Nadya she is my partner and we are this in it to bloat the world a comments interesting comments ok wheel it forward hello from Tasmania Carrie I saw your stuff awesome Zee Aviv's an ya gather at a low-fat ricotta and Medine which means your man you're a champion and you have an amazing content Thank You Aviva trading stocks mr. finger trading stocks while watching STV this epidemic is full of productivity a lot of I'm a foodie I use it too I use it to do all of all of my 3d models loading this staying here and 3oh verus stayin here como estas hombre o mujer I hope well good and you are full power a canal is al la energía okay focus your energy and good things will happen yeah okay so next thing let's carry on with our entertainment today and let's go back to building the mandala and this will be in after-effects believe it or not okay let's talk about replicators in let's go back to the f12 to go back to the camera after camera let's talk about replicators inside After Effects function it's an feature I really really like and the thing is that you can use the replicator shapes to create different arrays here rings fear plane at seven cetera I'm going to use ring for this and I'm going to create six different petals and it created six petals but it created a little bit of the of the air so I'm going to use the rotation and tell it to rotate 90 degrees inside elements we got two main sections particle replicator and the particle look a little bit confusing to me I hope not for you but the way to remember it is the disk controls each one of the particles and in this controls all the object all this particle relic we created so what we're going to do is to go to the particle look to its rotation and then we're going to I think compensate for this and we have to go 90 degrees and now we have these petals lined up the way we want them facing us so that's great and inside let's close the particle look for now now let's leave it open let's open the particle replicator and here we have a shape size shape scale let's close the shape scale to zero so do we start to see this shape building up and I says I and if you start seeing it happening in front of your eyes say I in the comments okay so there we have it and the next step will be let's see let's go back so this was particle replicator an empathic a look we can set earlier within eight week or rotate each particle on its own so check it out now what I'm doing is I'm rotating each one of the particles on its axis okay so what I'm going to here I'm going to leave it at 15 just like this alright so we started to do we start to make this these patterns going on and we have the first group is set and ready to go let's one moment okay so we got this going on so next thing we'll do it will be logical thing will be to take group number two and activate it so remember we just duplicate it before and now we have it what we're going to do we're going to push it on its z axis backwards so I'm going to go to the particle replicator and I'm going to push the position backwards okay looky let's look at it from the side if I'm going here and moving in the camera so if I push the Z backwards or forwards this is what will happen and because I did it already once I know that 70 pixels will be sufficient and this is where I'm going to leave it now so getting getting things done we get this one group and second group ready let's go to group number three and let's activate it and of course it arrives in the same spot that we had it before and let's talk about the way that this mandala is built let's look at so I wanna have tell you that there is a little thing I didn't do in Illustrator and that is I wanted to take this petal that we're creating now and I wanted to straighten it 30 degrees because it's going to be much easier for me later to animate it hmm so what we're going to do we're going to go back to illustrator and the illustrator we're going to take number two and sorry number three I'm going to hold alt and on the rotation tool we did earlier I'm going to click without and I'm going to tell you know you go back - 30 degrees and I don't want to be a copy I just wanted you see now it's lined up it's going to be much easier for me to animate it later and that's why I did this this manipulation this maneuver so what I'm going to do I'm going to take it again but go back to After Effects let's find our layer the layer that we had number three this petal and what I'm going to do is want to click the M and delete these masks and then I'm going to paste this right maskless correct mask so if I nothing is happening from now but if I go and do purge all memory in this cache and say I element will recalculate it and bring it back to its place so this is something I created and we can foil this back and not see them so what we're going to create now is create this array of the seeds is happening again with the petals but the way a nice way to make it to make it faster is to use a nice thing we have an element 3d which is copy paste group the group the number one is seeds and we're going to go here and then say paste group of course it's going to paste the same petals exactly as we a simple figuration of Group one and we are going to go and push it backwards remember like we pushed the other thing and I know that it's going to be twice as much so instead of 70 it's going to be hundred forty from now because we might change it later but for now it's enough so we got the next the next Taylor going on and I actually don't need all of this space between them I just want them to have less less rotation so we have to go inside the particle look and then in the particle rotation and then let's say that you are minus five for now so it's the other way around from the seeds and just a little bit between them because see it's enough I don't need more of this from now you're not going to see them anyways and we are all good okay cool in the gang we got this thing going on we can to save some time we can take this book now and have the visible copy and let's activate group number four and then use the particle know the copy paste group and then paste it here so right now we got all these circles on top of everything but what we should do is a go to the depth and let's duplicate I mean add another 70 pixels it goes all the way to ten so we created this index let's call it a petal array and what I'm going to do in this one I'm going to take the direction of the of the petals in the particle look and I'm going to tell you go five degrees no not this one STV group for the new group that you created you go to particle look then particle rotation you say you go the other direction you go five degrees okay so it's starting to build in front of our eyes and that's great that's super awesome and we are going to activate the last group which is number five let's activate it and let's push it as well we don't need the replicator for this layer so we just want to push it to 280 pixels now and looky looky everything is looking quite a kind of okay and we almost created the seed of life on Donna just to compensate what I did earlier with the group number two and sorry with this petal so we have one two three with the petal group I'm going to go inside the particle a particle replicator and I'm going to give it a little bit 3 degrees back to the other place which is going to be here so let's -38 buzzing to put this wait you know maybe it's something about it's it's like it's like biting my it's like electrifying me let's try to put this and see if it gets further away if it helps okay guys let's carry on I hope you like my new look alright so we have five parts we compensated for the for the look of this let's use these C letters to get away from our mandala and then rotate around it and inspect it and see how well everything is going on and marvel at our work let's looking good now let me let's get the camera I want to see I want to have the front view so let's press f12 we are back in this camera view and I'm going to push the camera I'm going to push it not this STV I'm going to push not into point of interest but the z-depth and we are going to look at all of this data together alright so let's see again this reference okay you see how everything is aligned really nice here and this is part of the beauty of this the beauty of this honey I think the windows are open close them I was hearing this scooter passing by Megan really get better sound and it's going to be cooler because I'm on fire people I'm on fire and you are going to get on fire as well so get your fire extinguishers ready okay so what's going on this mandala is so precise and so beautiful and everything is touching on each other and here we'll get a little bit off off of this thing you see that this let's get closer this circle here should should be more aligned with this this one's okay okay I hope you like my bra you need to stay you Amy okay so the thing is to do is now get everything aligned and how are we going to do that we're going to do it by compensating the size so when things get further away from you they're getting smaller you know like it's a bad joke don't tell it em yes as things are far away they get smaller so this got smaller this got smaller and this is the biggest of them all so the way to do it is to tweak it a little bit yes and let's start and doing it so let's say that this seed of life let's use this Center thing as a as a guide so we're going to take the particle look of the first group and we're going to reduce it just a tiny bit okay to say 9:40 so it was 10 now it's 9 14 it's number 2 stays in the same size number 3 is a kind of looking [Music] kind of looking okay I think we have to make it smaller now as well so you know what let's do it right this one stays the same size don't want to mess it up and let's go to a group number two to the particle look of number two and let's up it until it touches the the tips of the seeds all right let's make it maybe a nice circular number just for a just for a my ADHD and now we're going to go to number three to group 3 and then to the particle look and then we are going to extend let's hold alt X or control and let's get them a little bit bigger see number three is 1050 and now created this line kind of looks like it's it looks good I hope you see that it looks better than before and now we go to number four and the number four we're gonna have you understand that all this electricity you heard was me me electrified until now stay okay and the number four let's change this one as well okay we are in the game that's great and number five is going to grow as well and to be compensated and this one is going to happen on the particle look and let's make it bigger okay now now we got a much much better looking seed of life and we have arrived to the point where we can say we just created the seed of life thank you in 3d in element 3d in shadow after effects hoorah hoorah okay the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to create some ambient occlusion because you know to be honest it looks a little bit boring so the way to do it is to go inside element within the render settings we can tick off this subsurface scattering we don't need it now and we can go to the ambient occlusion I usually like what's funny Nadia sorry okay okay so the way okay just we just had a really good in a moment and I missed it check it out this is look blend and horrible and this is look is looking much much better you can up the resolution a little bit check it out this looks really really awesome and it really looks awesome because we got the ambient occlusion going on we can tweak it a little bit and the way I tweaked it and it worked really fine was point 17 point a 70 and then 200 here and this is kind of okay of course we can upper the the multi sampling and everything and I think it's looking really really good right now let's go back to this side view looking much better because I'm full it's a little bit slow but everything is looking really really nice all right so we created this mandala let's go back to the front view okay this mandala we compensated for these different depth we added ambient occlusion and we are ready to go to the next phase in our Odyssey and it will be animating the mandala yes here we are let's say check what nadia what was so funny earlier when under was they was laughing somebody said I like Restylane okay you say you like my style okay Nadia was the laughing out of something I said and you know that's why we're together we're laughing one of each jokes a robust thing says I flow I follow your path and seeing your Instagram stories every day respect Prabhas I appreciate you and David and GUI says that fix that buzz hallelujah guys hallelujah Philips tears I thought it is too complex and complicated about your tempo and explanation is great super Philip I really really am really happy I'm not going anywhere nadia is also not going anywhere we got power now so we I think we'll a carry on for now okay animating the mandala using expression to rotate the PATA the petals okay so we can do we can use two ways to animate in after effects you can use keyframes and we can use expressions because okay let's see the reference and reference is what I created in Le you name here so check it out the way I animated it is that each okay three different groups are rotating sin group is rotating this a petal group is rotating and this circle group is rotating okay so what I did is I wrote each one of them in a different paste this have a look at these seeds the seeds are rotating faster than the petals the petals are rotating faster than the circles okay so what's being created look looky-looky-looky so let's say it starts here okay it starts here the mandala is looking just the way we like it you know and everything is lined up mostly thing is everything is in the flow but then we start to play it and looky looky what happens okay so this is spinning faster than this and slowly now this will arrive here OPA it's arrived here in the center when this tip is aligned with this thing this thing is creating something with this you see that there is some kind of a ninja star of these different parts I really like the way I okay because I did it of course but I really like the way I animated it the nice thing about it is you can see this eye popping out you know all these subtle textures and the animations that it all adds to the final look because details they say God is in the details and I say Amen for that and the details are everything so how do we create this animating of this mandala so let's say get the groups here so groups number one is the seed and we could go to the particle replicator remember and then in the rotation of this part applicator and we could use the y-axis to rotate it let's go back to half and let me get elements to half and by the way when I'm working it can be useful to use this ssao instead of the ambient occlusion of the RTA oh and the reason for this is that it kind of makes it kind of I like much better the RTO and that's how I render but this SSAO it can be better for preview and what I'm looking here is to up the intensity okay back in the game and before I'm I will render it I we changed again to this ITA oh let's see see it moves a little bit a little bit nicer now okay so where was I I was in the part that I was wanting to relate to animate it so if we go to the group for number one and then I we can use this Y rotation and we can of course create a stopwatch keyframe here and then say you body you start at zero and then we go all the way to the end to secretary 16 seconds and then I wanting to I want three petals to rotate so one two and three and each one of them is sixty degrees remember in Illustrator we moved in 60 degrees H so six degrees three times times three time the petal is 180 degrees so I could come here and say you buddy are going to go to 180 degrees and then let's have a ram preview oh my goodness almost almost STV 180 rotations that was crazy all right so now we have it going on so there we are we created the seamless animation it rotates 180 degrees in 16 seconds and you will not see the same happening now nothing great so this is good but having keyframes is a little bit difficult because it's much nicer and easier if we have a constant motion to add the expression and for this purpose I'm going to remove the keyframe and I'm going to hold alt click the Y rotation and this little box is opening here and I'm going to open to insert the expression time and multiply it in open parentheses a hundred eighty degrees please rotate 180 degrees in 16 seconds and press Enter and believe it or not it's created the same thing but we created it with an expression and we can come later and change the expression we can hook the expression to a different null and we can do crazy stuff with this it's much more elegant and that's how I created it this time we can okay so we rotated the group number one let's say hold rotation and they say copy expression only and let's go to group number two to the particle replicator 2 the rotation and rotate this no sorry group number 2 is not moving as TV group number 2 is moving so we go to the particle replicator and we're going here and we are out clicking to create the stopwatch and we can just can just paste no so we can just sorry we can just hold it and copy it on it and now we have the same expression applied so both of them are moving in the same paste so what I'm going to do is I'm going to change this expression and tell it to rotate only 120 degrees because you're going to have only two petals rotating and now we have each one of them rotating in different paste and the last thing I'm going to do is because we had this we had this thing where we moved this petal 30 by 30 degrees backwards I'm going to tell this expression that I want to have a plus and I want it to calculate this this this parameter as well sorry not this parameter and and sorry and this one and this okay so now we got 30 degrees when it's starting it gets the 30 degrees here Plus this expression so everything is looking good and if I'm holding on a second 16 and I'm going and pressing home it will take me to the beginning of the composition home and and are jumping between the first frame and the last frame this is the reason I created 16 seconds and one frame because I want to see this exact frame I don't want to see the frame before this is a little hack I developed if you have a different idea how to make it happen tell me but that's how I'm using it and I'm able to jump between this starting point and ending point if the starting point and ending point they look exactly exactly exactly the same we have a loop it's that simple alrighty so let's copy the expression again copy this expression this time and then we go to can go here to particle a to group number three and to the particle rotation group one control it down group three particle replicator and rotation and let's add click the Y rotation no STD no number three number four number four replica crater and rotation okay so let's add click stopwatch and let's so we don't need even to I'll click it you can just paste just control V and we have this expression going on and we can tell it you are body moving only 60 degrees in 16 seconds okay do you see do you see the logic behind it if you see the logic behind it tell me if I'll click now twice the letter e I will see all my expressions open and we have this first expression time multiply hundred eighty in 16 seconds the other one is 120 in 16 seconds Plus this thing we had here the plus 30 the minus 30 and here we have 16 60 degrees in 16 seconds let's run preview it and see our creation roving in front of our eyes yes wait for it wait for it it's coming it's coming will it loop will it loop it looked we have the holy loop that's it that's how animated this and this is how you can animate different shapes when you create them and we are going now to our presentation and going to our next section and this section will be where are you there you are that's what we did we used expression to rotate the petals and we are now going on and moving to creating textures that's awesome it's awesome guys in this part I'm going to show you how I create texture compositions how I use illustrator shapes remember the shapes of illustrator how I use them to create shape layers for our texture players how do I set custom textures similar to how we did with the masks linking texture to objects that's inside the elements user interface and then adding roughness watch it coming watch it coming all right let's see if we have any interesting comments fritz Vijay says constructed a team you guys are really Rock thank you very much for its teamwork it's really important guys I was alone before I met Nadia and I was myself a the way communicate with us is greatly appreciated and thank you so much for this masterclass with pleasure fritz with pleasure remember we had the crazy power cut in the beginning and I said no this lesson is gonna happen and I took my pants i put my pants on and I ran to the guys there and I found the guy I told him listen I got people waiting in YouTube you already got me this extra screen but now I need power and he was a little bit shocked and he managed to pull this cable after some time and everything it's happening right now aim and Philip a nano palm saying the fritz is right thank you very much guys I think on a knowledge about the 16.0 one looks angry I earned it in blood I really happy I'm really happy that you appreciate it and you know the thing is to always use shortcuts and use as much as possible the left hand on the keyboard the right hand on the mouse so I usually like to designate my kids to different to different places like for now if I want to jump a frame forward frame backwards it should be page up page down but I'm I'm using three and two to page up page down just because I don't want to stand get my hands all the way to to the right side I'm using Shift + 3 to jump ten frames and amusing shift one instead of the zero a key the insert key a to run to run preview and this is how I'm able to speed up my workflow and get things made fast ok another question what are the specs of the machine you are working on this is an isis laptop it's a rogue in a laptop the name of it is GL 704 JW and it's a it has a 2070 r-tx g-force it has 32 gigabytes of RAM it has 17 inch screen because the 15 inch screen was killing my eyes and it has I think wow I think generation 8 CPU not sure about it right now okay great what steve says a new region nori on project slab great work Steve Thank You nori on project lab okay so textures well guys will came to this really really interesting part which is adding textures to our to our objects well 48 views in 48 waters guys 48 of you are sitting now and watching me create it and you get it just get it I love you all I want to tell you you have passion for visuals and if you keep on working like this you will do it alright next next stage so right now I'm going to create texture comp let's let's have a look at the original a composition just to just to explain it to you so remember what we had here we had here a 5 different compositions and they were a routed sorry to be shown on these on these battles so I'm going to create this competition now from scratch so you can understand how to create a custom texture Maps texture comps and I'm not going to create all of them because we're gonna really like stay here all night long and tomorrow but what I'm do I'm gonna do is show you this technique and you can recreate it with every texture that you want to create on your own ok so let's say open a new composition new composition and we're going to call it one seed when we call it texture and just for this tutorial so we know who is whoo and he's gonna call it to it in the end and the thing here is to designate and to get the pixels right 2048 pixels by 2048 pixels that's okay we call it in a name and let's open this new composition okay composition is opened and right now we want to create the texture for this seed thing so the way to do it is to go to our illustrator remember this guy hi illustrator I missed you so much and in illustrator in Illustrator I mean illustrator is such an alien if you if you know after effect you want to come to illustrator you have to ask Nadia what to do about it because my administrator we weren't good friends we are now better friends I love you illustrator you're good the precise you are like sharp and let's take the seed let's take both of these frames that we created before and let's copy them and it will have it now in our clipboard and what we are going to do now is to create a new shape layer yes not a solid shape layer believe it or not so we're creating a shape layer and in the shape layer we are adding some some stuff inside first thing we're going to add here is a group because we like to keep everything styling and then inside the group I'm going to add a path we added the path and then I'm going to click the path and I'm going to paste my clipboard check it out we got Syd thing right in the place where we need it because it's in the same place on the mask you know and everything is great the thing is with shape layers is that you cannot paste more than one path simultaneously so what it created it pasted this pad but it pasted also two masks actually we don't need these masks anymore because we just use this frame for reference so look look Lee I now have this path exactly what I wanted if I used if I would copy only this path and pass it here it would pass be paste it in the center now we're not going to show you but you can test it yourself at home if you have nothing better to do so we have created let's say get a background we have created a shape but this shape is just sort of the path is just a path that anything inside so we are going to add filter it and we just let the fill the Phillies the Phillies world it's usually something is off but I can go I can walk it through it now let's say let's add to this seed a let's change this fill I guess it won't change it but usually I change it to black you change to black and now I'm going to add a new group remember we have to have keep things in order here in in this new group I'm going to add a new rectangle and this rectangle I'm going to tell it to be 2048 by 2048 so it it sits here and I'm going to add a fill to it and we're adding a fill and the field is white for some reason it shows red but it should be white so what we created now we create a shape layer this shape layer has contains two groups let's call this group white background and let's call this seed background so this is our texture map and we are going to connect it with with our main composition here so the way that you connect compositions inside elements is you first you get to go to your project and then you have to get the composition that you just created which is one seed text should remember we created a bit too to not get confused and now I'm going to drag it inside this composition doesn't matter where I drop it we dropped it here and we can remove this I so we can see it okay hide the video so it's we don't even need it right now we can even hide it but for now let's keep it on let's go into element the element layer and then into the effect controls and then we can go to this feature we had earlier custom layers you remember that we earlier used desks mass text and masks to create the masks and we're going to tall it down and open custom texture Maps because we are about to do some texture Maps that's the logic about it so inside here we're going to go and create and take this a layer that's called one seed text hood one seat text hood there we are we have recreated a we took it and we told elements yo elements this is the composition that you are going to use to project on this seed now we can say because saving is never a bad thing to do and we can go inside elements all right back in elements let's go to this seed object that we created and let's go inside its bevel inside the material so remember what we did earlier we just duplicated each one of them so because we duplicated them every change that I will create to this bevel will happen to all the other of the Bevers so what I'm doing usually is taking this bevel and duplicate and replace and now we have a copy of it look we have a new material here in the same materials and I'm going to tell it that I would like to have the diffuse channel a custom texture so I'm going to open this and looky looky who's waiting here in custom layer 1 1 seed text tooth layer and once I clicked it we have it here looky looky this is one of the most amazing things when things work they work so we got this going on on the petal and we're all good to go we'll talk about adding some roughness to the petals later on in the tutorial but right now we're gonna leave it as is and looky looky let's shift and enlarge it and looky looky what we have here everything is lined up and sitting on these petals so this is a good sign let's now talk about animating these textures so I think if I mean wrong we talked about creating the textures shape layers and I will link down the bottom of this tutorial a really nice tutorial of that shows how you can work with shape layers in case you need some more info about it and will be base we did this custom textures and everything is really well okay let's see where we're standing we're standing strong and we created the textures and we could just the textures for the seat but this process is identical for each one of the textures let's see if we have any questions [Music] jesus said when DL says thank you master with pleasure I really happy to share with you everything that I know you know guys it's a it's a mission that I I realized I just want to share with you everything I know because I want to make vision strong you know you can make this meeting thing so much stronger anupam says your inner straighter technique is nice Alex Thompson says you inspired me to start making visuals Alex this is everything I want to have to do Phillip says Wow amazing Anupam says I still emotion tricks and techniques is really nice Phillip size texture King still guys I'm saving you a lot a lot of time you do not know how I did the first pack they the ornamental plaque I moved you know I moved it by clicks right clicks left and move the masks and was like you know I I was like persistent I I made it happen but this is much much better workflow so this is why I'm teaching you it right it looks lumen says that many have said you've been an inspiration to me thanks for doing this looks thank you so much let's say start fast bumping okay next in our presentation animating the textures and again I'm going to show you the basic basic techniques for animating textures it's going to take us days to do the whole thing top okay no days but at least all the night to recreate all the textures so this is how I am how I'm going to show you how I used side by side view to control the textures while watching while seeing the last the final render a shape layer basics which is like animating in shape layers animating a sample we're going to take one circle and animate it and then I'm going to take you and show you each one of the textures I created how it's built just you know get the videos on and off so you will see in your own eyes how we take a white on dollar and how we build things on top of it and how we create this final look and a little bit about animations as well I'm going to tell you okay and 3-0 virus can you insert the video to After Effects and apply the path to it in videos you have masks that's why you have masks so you can of course take any we took pass from illustrator and we copied them on solid layers you can you can copy them on a video players you can copy them on compositions and the answer for this is yes Chris VJ just how much training to get this this level meaning how long a freeze BJ I started vjing in 2009 three or four three I think and I didn't know much about vjing back then I used to mostly rip DVD's and I didn't say it and play others content and I think with time you know with time and with the need I started to learn more about After Effects and it took me a while the only thing I can recommend is watching all of Video Copilot tutorials one after the other and recreating them it really helped me to get to the next level and from their own just practice practice practice practice sweat in little more in practice so you can sweat less in the club simple as that the wash shot Waris has very nice tutorial sir respect bhavish tanya what jyoti visual media sales how create alphabet clip so how I created the alphabet clips next tutorial but the alphabet clips in simple are text layers remember in elements you got a custom text and masks so it's something to do about the text not the masks we're using masks here it's something to do about the text you make a text and then you hook it in element 3d extrude it and sayonara okay let's start animating the textures 49 viewers guys we've grown I really appreciate each one of you this is unbelievable 250 people watching it it's a long monster class and you have passion for it I appreciate it a by the way I will tell it because just the truth even if we had one if we never had zero people I would still do it people would look it later hey watch it later so I really appreciate you are here and give me a lot of power to continue ok animating the textures this is going now so we got to risk weird funky red line going on which I don't know who it came from but I'm sure I press something and they made it happen and now we'll figure it out later it doesn't matter right now [Music] so right now what we are going to do is take the shape let's open a new shape layer I mean I could add them all here in the same shape but it's not so easy to toil down this every time for each of the groups so I like to have as less layers possible but not everything in the same layer because I think it's it's too much so let's open a new shape layer and this shape layer we do the same trick we did we're going to add a group because we like it to be order and we're gonna add this time a an ellipse ellipses added let's add a fill to it this is a white fill and we are going now to create a little animation just to make it visible that how how this whole thing about meeting the texture works so I'm going to take this list path I'm going to manipulate it position and its size so if I push it upwards and downwards on the y-axis move and what I'm going to do is do this animation ping-pong start here and here come back and create an animation of this so it starts at zero and it also starts in size zero so I'm going to take this and I'm going to push it to the future and I'm gonna say right now right here your zero now I'm going to use and in your keyboard is going to be shift and page up to go to two seconds and then I'm going to get a marker and I'm going to set a marker and then holding shift I'm gonna I'm going to get it exactly on the two seconds so after two seconds this grows and it arrives at this place right here that's great so this is this is zero here and here it's growing growing avoiding put a keyframe there so this is position here in this position is here so it starts at zero it goes to two it goes to 100% and then you want to bring it back here so the way to do it is to push these ones so in four seconds I'm going to have a the position here okay so it's gonna start at zero grow here 200 and then and then I get back to zero again I can copy and paste this keyframe so check it out what we did what we quit now is this simple animation this circle is growing while traveling to the other side it which is hundred percent and then it diminishes and goes all the way here and one thing I wanted to do is get this thing right so it should be a little bit further here something about this so let's now hold f9 + f9 is a creating we had it let's show to you we had it go to spin graph sorry to vary graph and we had it very linear and there really not nice you see it goes and everything is really linear and boom and then it a continues so what I want to do is I want to get these creep frames and then get f9 in the job and then you see how nice and beautiful these curves are this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship between you and f9 and after f9 you're going to learn how to get these curves and how to move them but this is for a totally different tutorial so we're not going to get into it now let's do a run preview now you see how more smooth it is now and everything is looking much better let's get the key friends showing if I press you you I can see the key friend and I'm going to use another expression now because what I used to do a long time ago is take these get them copy them paste them here again okay we got we got some animation going on but anyways it's not for here not for right now what I want to show you is how to use expressions so you hold I'll click you I'll click the size and say I want to loop this thing in the way I want loop it is to say loop and then loop out look out and then inside the loop out I want it to ping-pong go okay and what I created now is actually it goes back and forth back and forth back and forth forever so let's copy this expression let's paste it on this position just paste and we have this expression going on on this position so what it should make now is it should create the ping-pong motion it grows smaller gets there and goes all the way back and again and again forever and ever so that's great now working on this working on this texture here and then have been having to click this and see it like there is a little bit annoying so what I usually do in this stage I lock this view then I use the little Locker here and I'm going to open a new viewer and a new viewer is added to my composition and because this one is locked it opens a new viewer that is not locked it opens the opposite of this state right now I can click my composition that's a and right now I have on the right my texture on the left my final a my final look so I can know when I'm creating a texture and creating it on the right side it shows how it is being created on the left side so the only thing is that run preview will work only on the right side unfortunately so you see if i right preview this it would walk only on the right side but i can go to different places in time and i can go and i say ok you stay here you see how it updates on the right so this is a I'm how I'm able to control it and what we just created guys is an animated texture that is a being projected on the seed here this is it this is how I animate textures inside the texture comps sorry how I watch what I do i watch it inside the the the master view here and and this is the old pillow kind of let's see if I spoke about everything here animating textures okay so we are in the middle of the animating textures a part this was the part where I show you how everything works and from here from now on we're going to work again on our a master comp the thing I prepared before and I'm going to take some some textures there and show you so it showed show to you how they all look on the master comp okay this is what I'm going to do now okay so this was our texture for this tutorial I don't need it from now here on the viewer this was the tutorial where I showed you how to build it but let's have a look at what we did whether what you created let's lodge this a little bit and let's the RAM preview and let's watch our creation as it unfolds in front of our eyes remember what we created there we created a circle that goes back and forth on the same on the same seed and everything is looking good I let it run preview just a little bit more so you can see that everything is looking good let's see if you have an interesting questions Philip says now love f9f 9 he's your best friend we should do an f 9 shirt and only the ones who understand what f 9 is will understand the string I guess says on the same thing that's a great tip about the f 9 oh my god oh they they closed our electricity ok ok all right I think we still streaming can you please get the cable well that was expected I mean kind of expected because because the guys in the house where we took the cable from they they wanted their power back they don't want to supply no no we have to connect no the AC is working yeah this is working yeah so you just have to get this cable and connect it to a normal power in our house yeah thank you Nadia ok guys I'm in the dark right now the the next the second screen is off and we're gonna have some mayhem when the power will be back but don't fret we're going to continue for now and what I wanted to show you was the was how this is being animated so this is what we created in this a thank you very much Nadia I'm locked to my chair I have this a pilot seat connected to this a microphone and I cannot move ooh ooh powers back everything is gonna go crazy and can we yes okay so this is what we created you can watch even if we hold this tilde key we can watch a full screen and a full screen preview thank you very much Nadia if you just can go and pee for me also you can go to the toilet for me okay so this is what we created and everything is good but I'm going to show you now how I created the main thing that took me a long time so I'm going to close this one and I'm going to go back to my master composition and this is how I created everything I let me show you how it's built now that you understand more of the of the behind the scenes you can see that we have five different masks and five different textures and these are the five different textures here we also have a few different cameras here what kind of tries that I did a we have curves adjustment here just to give a little bit a bump and let's see different cameras we have the camera from the side this is the nice thing after you create a 3d model you can just move the camera around and create different clips out of it and different views so let's go back to the front and let's open what happened to my other viewer it's gone I'm going to bring it back with the same trick we had and we're gonna open here here the seed mask so I'm going to you know what first let's close all of the layers sorry not all of the layers but just but just animation in the layers the textures I mean so we have everything white or black so when we add the textures we can see how everything is being added so here we have a white background for this here we have ma it's inside we're already inside of he later let's close the these two layers let's create can we cover up let's close this for now let's close okay white and white background and the seeds so we are starting to see the seeds first the seeds have a shape layer where they have a shell let's turn it on so this shell everything it does it just opens and closes opens and closes and it reveals the background behind it and this background has a seed seed master and the seed master is then being let's close this expression so I can show you where it is expression never mind so we got an array of seeds that is going from up to starting here growing and going down and here they disappear they don't go all the ping pong back and they just disappear and this is all the animation that happens on the seed if will anyway sorry will run preview this we can see that the city's seat cover is opening its a seat cover it's not nothing else but a seat cover and then it reveals the seeds inside and then it closes again and then it opens again simple and the way it looks on our master comp is like this it grows on it and this is part one of our animation okay let's go to layer number two layer number two is the center and what do we have here we have this array of circles something to do with the repeater inside the repeater inside the shapes you can add a repeater here and this is how I created this is just one circle repeated many times repeated 12 times this is it and now I added the more shapes here and more shapes here and this stippling thing and this outer circle thing so while I'm a while I'm creating it here you could see it building up here no not this so all of these layers that's how I work and I see if my design is looking good on the mandala kula so this is it have some really nice effect that I created here is emulating the stippling thing stippling are people that you know they use a pencil or some some marker and they just draw dots and they can spend there is an hours on it and I really appreciate them I don't have this passion for stippling it's what I created here is a couple of shape layers with trim paths and then each one of the a there is some kind of an expression here that I will show you in the next I mean in the next texture okay moving on to the next petal this is the oval petal this guy here let's let's get some action going on here let's see what we have here so this is let's get the cover up these are actually circles that they are intersecting I put on top of everything I put something to make it to cover it and make it white because I'm lazy and wants everything around it's white everything is good anyway so it doesn't matter much a next thing let's close this from now next thing was I had to ellipse with a field black fill and then I did these stippling things and then I added these really really awesome blobby things so when I finished everything I put the cover on it all and let me show it to you from the side let's move here to the custom view and if I look to the TWiT from the side you see it exceeds it a little bit and if I put the cover up it covers these edges how did I go and do I want to show you two things here one is how did I create this deeply and one is how I created the balls that start with the balls so the balls is different comp and let's put a white background on it and let's get closer to it so this is these are the balls and what I'm creating here is this is actually let's see the keyframes this is actually a lot of spheres and circles and these circles they move let's close the effect so I just created the right side of it and I just created this and this and this and then the other ones they grow and the other ones smaller and this is it and then I applied in a mirror on it so I have it mirrored and then I applied a rough on edges effect and this rough edges effect is what creates this liquid ish look it's really nice effect I will get you this really nice tutorial that explains how to do it I don't think I need to explain it because you can just watch the guy explains it and it does it better than me so that's that's that's it we have a balls liquid thing and they all they all are running on this pattern that I show you how to make let's talk about the stippling let's talk about stippling the stippling is a created let's duplicate this layer and let's solo it let's solo the white background so I can show you and this is just okay so if I want to open the the path I can one soil down everything but it's really it's really not so easy to go to all the way to the to this path because I have to click the expect to being able to manipulate this path so a nice thing to do is click this and then in the search box click path and right now it was supposed no okay stippling would happen here stippling I'm here on the right view let's see I think I hid it or something stippling weird query stapling - where did sip step into went we'll find it somewhere here I know it's too late for this so we just want to duplicate it again why okay let's close these and this and get stippling this is weird okay let's say use our friend controls it controls it is our best friend and sometimes you shouldn't just fight it and this is another shirt I want to create it's called control Zen so we're back here and I want to show you the stippling and this layer I was here and I wanted to show you how I use path to get my path really quick and I got it now so the way I created it it's kind of a it's a kind of magic actually something to do with the expressions I can now shift-click the path one and I can pull it and all the rest will move along with this path I can change its a curve and everything we move it it and I have a control layer here that I can push things to the right I can push them up I can push I can get the size of the balls bigger and smaller and that's how I'm able to control and to fit with the path things really easily to to the to the shape that I want to feed them to so it has something to do with expressions I myself to be honest not don't remember how much I did it but each one of the shapes is connected each one of the paths is connected to path one okay each one of the pump the shapes is connected to path to shape one with this pick whip each one of the size is connected to the same slider here and then it multiplied by some kind of factor so this one is multiplied the size in multiplied by 175 is multiplied by one point five and the other one is 1.25 so when I move a size slider all of them are growing at once because they are all connected to this size here this was how I I created this thing I think it's kind of smart so I had to brag and it's kind of advanced maybe for your for your state now or maybe not and I'm not going to go further into it right now but I am going to I'm going to get back at where we were before all of this was happening and maybe somewhere here right we got things going on yes or no almost we got we forgot to get the Ruffin here all of these and everything is back to how it was let's save it next I'm going to show you how to make the circle thing and in the circle let's start tolling down for activating the the eyes so I did some things here we got the shape layer in the back we need to adhere this background cool so this is a circle I copied from illustrator and say it came just as is the shape and the way I'm using it here is I have a black background this is this background so it's caused by the way I'm going to [Music] have this and then add the black background on it and then add these stippling these white circles wait you can see how it looks when it's being shown here so let's say Otzi and i see that this little guy ran away with the power let's put it back here okay so what I'm doing now is adding these different parts here get the stippling get these circles get this moon to the shape inside a shape inside a shape get stippling for this as well get another what is this are inside this is something that just covers up these little dots here and eyelashes eyelashes I drew them straight inside After Effects with shapes with paths and this is it let's have a look how this how this texture is animated it's quite simple we got the eye moving right and left the pupil cut this thing in the in Desmond spinning back and forth there is not much going on but when it goes and it adds up to our to our model every little thing helps to give the final impression alright the last layer is the background and here we have we have a stippling thing and the stippling thing is here similar to what I showed you before what I did here to make it a little bit more interesting is that I animated the rough edges and if I let it animate now you see that there is a little bit of animation happening on it's really subtle and and you can add a little bit of interest to your see what looks just moved a little bit what I did here is I keyframed in the stippling I keyframed the evolution of the rougher edges and effect okay I think I showed you every every everything about the way this mandala is created I showed you how to animate the textures now and let's see if I had everything on let's see this thing Oh from the other screen now so let's say yes I music conv by the way to have this outline a animating textures side-by-side view I've showed you shape layer basics you will learn it don't worry animating a sample we animated overview on selected designs and animations we did it this is the time to check with Nadia if anyone had had different interesting question or comment somewhere here do you know how long the entire mental pack took you to make roughly I think four months I learned a lot while doing it where was it I think we were it was beginning in pushkar and ending in Miller's so March April uni March April May and June of 2017 guys yes I don't know I think it was voted a Henry made hope keep going on only four to only to only no not only two hours yeah yeah yeah listen I have to I have to throw it on you and then I can go to sleep Diego twist and just magic thanks for showing this layering foot-powered Diego a half shout so Torah how to make stippling I will I showed you it's something about it's an old comment I think I showed you if not I'll try to make a many thing maybe two showed it that genius do you remember honey what did you say about that genius number 30 virus said the genius about something thank you and Philip says well thank you Nadia and Steve you saved me a lot of time and speed up my learning curve like a starship you are the Starship Enterprise Philip beam me up I mean no I've been do up to my starship Philip you are on your starship on your movie but we are going parallel now a neuron cells same here and no real not says thanks STV great guys I really appreciate you appreciating my appreciation okay camera angles a render so we have created this mandala let me talk to you briefly about camera angles and let's go back to our essay we don't need this and we can actually be needed but now we'll open it again so once we have this front view I can duplicate this camera and create different cameras so we said the lock this thing let's open a different view what's going on here view new viewer not let me open a few yes it will it will view new viewer okay we were there already but this viewer will be side you not active camera but side view side front left left okay so what we have now is both of these views this is the camera custom view let's put it on the active camera and let's use this as our left view I'm going to get my camera and just duplicate it and close the first camera head this camera I can use the gizmos here said why an X to move it in the to move it in the space and what I'd like to create is to take this camera and to give it a little bit of I'm not going to hold so I could get the gizmos see I'm moving it here and I see it here and I could take it up and this is another look I created and this is nice for a behind the DJ look we see what you can do with it in resolume if we still have time and this is half a mandala view imagine it on the stage behind the DJ it's going to be looking wild so this is a one camera that we created let's call it a close-up and then we can go to this camera and duplicate it again and close this one and this will gonna be side or a 3d call it whatever you want to call I call it the side and instead of taking the gizmos you can take this the camera itself and move it to the side get it closer just about this I have my point of interest in straight in the in here so that's why I can move this now the Zed get straight to the place where I wanted it something like this now we have another view this is a view from the side and if we run preview it it will look well I think it's all good it's all good your battery is finishing up we are still on GPRS because we don't want to because we don't want to cut the script a screamer we want to continue screaming with you everybody let's scream together now em okay so created one two three cameras let's talk about render settings now to wrap it up inside the ornamental a story inside the element I'm getting a beyond my limit okay let's talk about render settings so everything is cool when we want to render it let's close this one for RIM now when I want to render it I'm going to use a few things first of all I'm going to render it with the right wrist ambient occlusion see that I'm changing the right layer yes a right wrist ambient occlusion I'm going to use eight samples and four mud samples this ones I showed you you can play with these parameters RTO spread and RT max distance to get the 10 bit occlusion exactly right the way you want it and I change the gamma to 5 to make it more pronounced and here there is a RTL bias usually when you open elements it's it's showing something like this point 1 and this is something I had a lot of problems with because it gets you a lot of artifacts inside the RTI oh so you have to change it to one and you will have no artifacts welcome I just saved you some time with this artifact thing a great before I'm about to render it I'm going to get it to full render here to have the output on for multi samples and for sorrow and for on 8 multi sampling and for super sampling you can play with it and see get a closer close view on what's going on and when everything is in hundred percent you see that now you can see this these things here how you call it is jagged edges let's save it from now let's say go inside elements and inside elements I will show you the way to prepare it before the before you render it you can go here inside and say instead of jagged edges you go into the ultra which was another thing here this guy goes also to ultra we go to this guy here let's see what happens it goes to ultra as well and this one goes to ultras voila and last one is this let's say say ok for now and this is after I hope you can see it control-z this is before we had jagged things control shifted this is after everything is it's fine and lined up from here you go and you add curves adjustments just a little bit pushing the blacks and the whites this is how it looks without the curls you get more Gray's I did some tests I got to the conclusion that this is the right curve for me for this I'm taking the the red Eclipse resolume and seeing how it looks there so I usually add a curves adjustment to adjustment layer to make it a little bit more vivid and when everything is done you can choose the camera take control m it will open this render queue and you will choose to render it to the XV I usually render it to pro res 4 for 4 in the highest settings and then I keep it on as the masters actually when I render to to my final masters I'm running it without the curves I'm just reading it plain and then when I'm exporting the dxv I'm adding curves so in case I changed my mind about the curves I can always add them on top of my masters and not to rerender everything from the beginning I hope this is understood if not tell me and then you create these beautiful Clips so we know the cooking shows where they create things just before and then they show you I created my cooking show as well and [Music] and this is a wrap for this a cam angle surrender I showed you about the camera angles about the curves and about how to create the extra settings let's see about the comments or questions hello from cyprus cyprus full power david says thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us Freed's bj says this is actual art you're you're all so grateful for this knowledge Steven motion team thank you very much Fritz or freeze and Jesus every NDS says you are going to post this tutorial on your YouTube channel unfortunately yes Jesus a crisis sorry so many mishaps we had but I'm not going to hold it I'm just going to post it on my YouTube channel and on the website and if you had the link for it you will the link we still be active and if not just send me an email I will sort you out a Filipe says nada please share your PayPal account Instagram to give you some something back Philip you're awesome I want to tell you guys that we created a PayPal donation link and let me show it to you now and tell you that of course it took us a long time to create this tutorial to be honest it took me something like two weeks from start to finish I created this first the artwork of this mandala it took a long while this is taking always a long while to create this beautiful thing I had it to be very good so you can get inspired and then I was like okay I got it now how do I pitch it so I had to spend a lot of time thinking how to teach it and and we decided to give you the option to donate and your donation will help us and create more tutorials because time is money and I just had to create it this tutorial without any without any expectations and I don't have any expectations from you believe me I will do it anyways but if you want to make us do more tutorials you can a donate and I will show you now our donation link and QR code as well and this is taking you directly to paper I can send you the link let me first show it to you so we have this here and we have helped us make more tutorials donate and the QR code again I'm not expecting anything from you guys I will do it anyways if you want to express your love express your care you can donate and help us create more tutorials let me get you the link nadia by copying and pasting it to you you can also a it's a long link for now we'll manage we just had this a donation thing idea nothing I came up with the idea smart girl and we just created it yesterday so this is it let's see what's what's with our thing in the Jeremy Gilpin you should consider patreon maybe Jeremy maybe but I really don't want to be stressed about supplying things to my patrons I really want to do things because I like them because I have passion for them and I think maybe patreon will create more stress in my life that is a it is not what I want to create I want to have myself directing where we are going so for now we're just staying with this paper link okay next thing on our ODL fine resolume yes yes yes so we arrived the stage where we can open yeah it's a long link you have the other one for you know the paper on me Nadia but this one is better I think okay so a final resolute the way we usually create a looks and packs is that we create the create a few clips take them to resolume play with them do some manipulation see what's going on and then go back to after effects that after we show how it behaves we saw how you can do colorizing we saw how we can apply different effects on it so so what I did here is I just took three clips that I created which are this let's close the effects for now I first had this this beauty and I was thinking what can I create from this so I created some colorized patterns with colorized by palette it's a nice resolume effect and I'm using here this Clockwork Orange a palette and when you just use this effect it's a little bit milky so what I usually found useful to do is at the level before at the level after and look how in-your-face this thing came to be this is it let's think about you rotate and of course once I got this thing I can just change the colors and if I have something like I know purple and green I can do this quite easily so this is it for a you rotate let's see what else next I added the edge detection maybe you can close the colorize from now and look about this crazy look that I made out of it the if it doesn't work for you you have to get the levers a to be more pronounced now I'm adding another level adding another color eyes by palette the same scheme and adding some blur adding this level some Oliver's and some blur final blur and I think I can add the colorize also and look what I created I think maybe something here is a and inside the levels I created this beaming of this beaming look is created by using an envelope on the midpoint ratio of the levels so these are effects that I found to be useful from now and let's close them and check out the next clip I created and look how beautiful everything looks now you know exactly what's going on on each petal and I created this a 3d view this one is really exaggerated with 24 think millimeter camera and I got first I got these three Clips here and then I said okay we can take this guy hey I know this guy I can take this guy and move it around so I duplicated it I took it I added a transform on top of things and then I this ones we don't need and then I rotated it angle degrees get it exactly to 90 and then push it to the side say 700 pixels and then apply a flip mirror on it and the flip is being made in Brazil boom 12 and above sorry in Brazil umas 7.12 or 7.12 is made with these parts a blending mode and setting this to 0.001 and this is how you can create this flip effect you can always you know move them around and it's not like a mirror thing it's more like a flip thing okay and now I check the set okay let's look nice horrible will happen if I put this in in the front and I say this looking great I can help share Oh to this as well so just a little bit at the shadow between them and this is looking really swell in my opinion and I took this guy again and duplicated it and let's stop this I took it again and this guy I said okay what will happen in Fringe operator cloner not on this guy oak and this guy's also it will also work so I took the radical owner and dropped it on this and upped the radius up this scale and this can be an interesting frame that can you saw me doing it many many times and I will see me again putting a time and rotation oh my god not on this on the mast rotation a timeline and then reducing it here and now we have another clip let's control to shift it and let's control to shift this one as well so I created these and I can put something in inside like this of course when I create more clips I can have more things going on here so I create another thing which is close this another thing which is just taking this guy and moving it to the sides and creating something that will reveal something behind it so the way to check it is to put something behind it in the lower layer and move it so this is a nice look as well and then I said okay it looks all very nice let's see how does the elemental first pack that we list looks so right now I can change this and put honza behind it I can start using different kind of looks maybe have this behind maybe have it revealed this behind of it and do all kinds of wizardry let's activate these looks again we can let's fix this for a minute it's not reaching where it should reach this guy should reach a different place here yep so now right now we can use this and then say oh behind this you have this okay you say okay you think that maybe behind this but now you have this behind of this etc etc I can open a events like this and do crazy crazy stuff let's put this on top of everything let's put our this right this thing that we just created here it's here and you can just put it in the back or we can swap between them and put this here and put this swap I said put this here and put this there and they create different look and they just have fun in Sarah's loom applying effects removing the facts adding all kinds of crazy stuff and just testing how it looks all right we are really really close to finishing up this a live stream slash masterclass slash a mindstream let's see what's going on a nori on says in paypal is better to send a friend as family okay Fritz says you put a lot of energy and teaching and creating retrospect because the value you add to the Vijay community elevates all of us our craft and passion thank you very much thank you for it I appreciate you and all of you who were on the livestream and also in the future all of you who are watched who have watched who are watching this and investing into your reading skill and to getting better Philip says I did Philips Philip boom kaya on you respect and I can feel your passion there is so much energy in the master class Thank You Philip it says even so your Zen mindset might be your greatest contribution thank you for it thank you very much you know things should happen and they will happen and even if you have to run and get a cable and this is something that we all will just have I think it's a one of the necessities of a VJ to be resourceful I could just say guys I'm sorry the power is off it's dark out here and we'll do it tomorrow or other day but I said no no we're gonna pull it a Henry says is this this mandala will be released free not sure yet we are creating the ornamental 2-pack so once we have all this ornamental pack ready we will choose the right clips a mr. finger says no nevermind see I'm waiting and the V stringer says cross fingers a Monsignor says hello all I'm a senior oh my goodness guys I had the time time time okay Philip says Henry you can build it your own after this tutorial definitely definitely you should let me now go to what's next and let me tell you what I think you should do after this david says do you always render to resolume in greyscale keep on keeping on kisses so no Diego I just think that this ornamental look was the best with black and white I think people really liked it because they could use it as mask layers and resolume and maybe I should show it tutorial in the future but when it's black and white first you can always color it a server saloum like I showed you in second you can use it as M is mask layers and this is how the ornamental one was made and maybe it will pull it the ornamental tool this is how we met make the elemental to a that's it now we're going and moving on to our next and last thing which is what's next so let me I shared everything I know with you and I will show you this as well there is a nice book it's called still like an artist you should read it it says if you copy someone else's work you just a copycat and if you steal the techniques of several artists you are noticed of your own you have created something that was not existing earlier and what I mean to do by that is I really think that you should recreate this silsila black mandala that I just showed you the reason for me to show it to you in such a little was for you to sit and to give to put the work and to create this set of life thing when you will publish it it might be looking like a little silly because many people are publishing the same thing is going to be looking and looking a little bit silly I'm not sure about it what I do think is that you should do is take these techniques that I showed you and think how can you apply it after you created this tutorial how can you apply to something else how can you come with a different shape create different colors create different animations bring something to it I trust you to take it to the next level I will be watching I can help you I can give you critique and I will do everything I can to help you in your visual journey and right now I still have the time not too many people are are watching and I hope we can supply with support that's about it we are in our next slide this is the slide where we wanted to show you this to say that you can help us contribute and create more tutorials and literally buy us time to sit and think how to teach you and this is the donate button or the QR code we will have tell us if you think you want to have a course of creating this look we will go much deeper into creating the animations of the shape layers we will go deeper into I call it inspiration boards you know when I started saying I usually use Pinterest I create inspiration boards I will show you how to create inspiration boards I will go live twice in this tutorial course thing and you can ask questions and I can critique your art when you make it I'm not sure we can commit to it that's why I wasn't keen on telling it to you just an idea that we have now if you're interested you can in the comments tell us in the comments here in the comments on the website or send us an email to info test even motion and tell us that you are interested not promising anything because this is a big
