you must have seen and used QR codes numerous times so far have you ever thought about creating one that too using Excel it's possible and there are multiple ways for that as well I won't just say it I will show you and help you do it hello there this is from Exo Lemmy your one stop for Excel blog post discussion forums templates and Viva related answers today our discussion will be on how to create QR code in Excel [Music] we have three ways to do that for that we have a data set with three links to three different websites we will try these three examples using Excel 365 you can use any other available Excel versions as well let's get down to the video our first method is using office add-ins for that you need to make sure that you have proper internet connection first now go to insert Tab and from the add-ins group select get add-ins from the office add-ins window on the search bar type qr4 let's search for it now select keyword for office click on ADD here this dialog box is for license terms let's continue you should get a section on the right for the add-in if it doesn't pop up you can go to my add-ins and you can get it from there now here let's enter the URL of our websites let's go there and copy after the slash paste it using Ctrl V now from the options you can modify your QR code according to your wish click on insert now you can see our QR code is generated let's drag it here now we can just repeat the process let's say this one let's go along here and we can see our QR code is generated insert let's place it here and finally for Google generated answer let's drag it here so using office add-in we can easily create QR codes in this method we will create a user-defined function to create QR code here we will use developer tab if you don't have this tab you need to enable it first go to file tab from the options you can get the Excel options window here go to customize ribbon and from the main tabs you can see that our developer option is checked it may remain unchecked if you don't have developer tab this box should look like this put a check mark on this box click on OK and here goes our developer tab now from the code group select Visual Basic you can also try alter f11 Keys together to get Microsoft Visual Basic for applications window shortly known as VBA here from the insert tab choose module you can also add alter i and m Keys together to create a new module let's increase it so that it's easier for us to see now let's write a code here in our first line we have created a function named keyword generator and we have declared QR codes underscore values as string now here we have declared site underscore URL as string and cell underscore values as range here we set every cell values as the application.color now our site URL that we declared as string before is equals to this URL and person QR codes underscore values this is the URL address for QR codes the link will be added to the description box you can find it there under the name link one this line will ignore errors throughout our program here active sheet dot pictures is to create the picture in the active sheet let's go to next line there goes other lines that will add the pictures as URL and declare them with selection and this line is for resizing our QR codes here these are the modification criteria that we have come up with and this line is for ending command we added before now we will end our function with keyword generator as this command now let's save this command and on the file go to file Tab and select save as let's go along with Excel macro enabled workbook which has xlsm extension save now in our worksheet select D5 to D7 and try a formula to type QR we can see from the suggestion that the function is already visible let's click C5 this is the function we created using VBA window previously now press Ctrl and enter Keys together this will get us all the keyword codes automatically let's select all of them and we can modify their size like that and let's move them in this way it looks better right in this method we will use image function to create QR code in Excel let's try the Formula First in cell D5 equals image tab now we need to insert a link let's go to formula bar and paste it here we will provide this link for you in the description box place the link under double inverted comma now let's add Ampersand and use C5 as reference enter so we can see that our QR code is generated now we can just use fill handle tool or double click on the bottom right corner to autofill rest of the cells there we are each of the QR codes represent their corresponding website links among these three methods you can choose any of them according to your convenience you can practice this with the help of the Excel file in the description box below let us know if you were able to do it in the comment section share your suggestions and feedback as well stay tuned by subscribing to the channel and clicking
