hey everybody i'm joseph and welcome to this  video if you're trying to figure out how you   can create a facebook pixel and then add that  pixel to your wordpress website this is the   video for you and if you're interested in in um  and if you're interested in content on marketing   mindset and business this is the channel so go  ahead and hit that like button and subscribe but   without any further ado let's go ahead and  jump into this video so you can create your   facebook pixel and then add it to your wordpress  website all right now up on my screen you can see   that i'm at a website called business.facebook.com  now what this place is is where you want to go and   it tells you on the screen where you want to go if  you want to manage your ads your pages and a whole   bunch of other stuff all in one place now because  we're creating a facebook pixel this is where   uh you really need to sign up because if you're  trying to grow your business and you're trying   to do things to where you need to share access  with certain people this is the best way to do   it it's a free tool by facebook.com and even if  you're going through facebook help files a lot of   the times they're going to reference the business  manager so go ahead and set that up you can see i   have an incognito window so it tells me to log  in i wanted to show you what it would look like   if i didn't already have an account if you already  have an account let's go ahead and jump right back   into the business manager all right now after you  set up your business manager account it's going to   take you to a page that looks a little like this  and it might have a page that you already have   more than likely if this is your first time it  won't if you are already familiar with this well   that's great this is the test account for me  so what you want to do in order to create your   pixel that's what we're trying to do a pixel is  a way to actually know more about a website so   i clicked on events manager and you want to click  on events manager because we're getting events or   we're getting data from facebook once we put this  on our on our website so you can see here that i   went ahead and set up a tech test pixel but i'll  walk through that process with you one more time   what you'll do is click on this green air this  green plus sign that says connect data sources   you want to select web you have multiple options  but for now you can read through them if you want   just click select web and then click connect once  you click that we're then going to select facebook   pixel one more time and then click connect  we'll give it a name for this name we'll call it   yt test pixel 2. we could go ahead and  enter in a website but for now i'm not   i just want to create the  pixel so once we click continue   you you're going to see that we now have another  pixel created it's going to give us the option   if we want to do something more for now we don't  but i just want to show you what we've done we've   created a pixel here and this is the one that  i just created and you can see that the name is   yt tech let's change the name so you can actually  change the name of your pixel so yt test pixel 2.   so at this point my pixel is created i have a  pixel created but i'm not getting any information   about it the main thing about having a pixel  is putting it on your website or putting it on   a mobile app or putting it on your crm and when  people sign up for your thing they become a lead   they register they do something facebook's you'll  send that information back to facebook and then   facebook tries to find more people like them so  the next step after we've created is we have to   add it to your website we have two main ways  of doing that we can add it manually where we   just copy the code so now if i go to continue  pixel setup so i can select which pixel i have   and there's many reasons why you might have more  than one pixel it could be that your account gets   disabled and you need another pixel so there's  a lot of different reasons why that can happen   um but for this example we'll select the pixel we  want i'll click on continue pixel setup and then   i'll click connect after i click connect it's  going to give me the screen that we saw before   at this point i can do install code manually so  if you have proficiency with updating your html   on your website or if you have so even if i copy  this code now i've just copied it i can get the id   from this code and i can set it up i could just  take the the id from the code if you don't have   that experience that's a bit more difficult  to do so the way that i would like you all   to do this is let's click it one more time  continue pixel setup for the facebook pixel we're   going to use a partner integration now as soon as  i click on use partner integration it's going to   give me all these options so this is the great  part even if you don't have a wordpress website   you might have one of these other type  of websites but because we have wordpress   it's actually going to walk us through  the whole process so it's really simple   you're just going to watch me walk through it as  you would or hopefully that you just pausing and   playing this video as you're setting up your  your own pixel so at this point you'll see   that it'll give us five different steps install  plug-in connect to facebook verify connection   set up events and confirmation it'll also give us  individual steps for each area so if you have set   up your website because you went through my create  your wordpress website with dreamhost um a video   well you're ready you can even do it uh super fast  because you know how to log in so the first thing   that you want to do is go over to your wordpress  website and then you want to log in um so let's   go through that here i'm already logged in as you  can tell i'm at the dashboard you go to plugins   and you click on add new once you click on add new  we're gonna search for the facebook plugin keep in   mind there's two there's facebook for woocommerce  facebook for wordpress now it should even say   facebook for wordpress here and that's what it  says facebook for wordpress we select install and   then activate so let me go ahead and do that  now might take a few moments so mine's gonna   happen a little bit faster because i'm actually  recording a video so uh the magic of editing and   making it go a little bit faster can happen all  right now as soon as it's installed you'll see   that you have the option to click activate  we're going to go ahead and click activate   all right and that was pretty quick for it to be  activated now that it's active let's go back over   to the screen with facebook it's going to walk us  all the way through it and then you can see here   now all that we really need to do is get started  so we'll go through this this little process here   i'll click on settings in the facebook um plugin  so and let me go through this just in case you   get lost for whatever reason you can't do it  all at one time we were at plugins we were here   and i clicked on settings as soon as i went to  settings what it did is it took me to the facebook   plugin which is under settings and then it's here  third from the bottom that says facebook so if you   ever get lost for whatever reason that's the way  that you can navigate there again okay now that   we're here we're gonna go ahead and go through uh  this part of connecting our website to facebook   now this might be complicated depending on how  your settings are set up so you're going to see me   switch some things here as i go through it because  i have my business account but because i'm testing   this up it's going to be a little bit different  so first thing you do is you click start when you   click start you can either log in as someone else  depending on whose account you're setting this up   for or you can use yours so for now i'm going to  log in and go through this as myself first thing   is to know that i'm connecting wordpress app to  facebook so there's some permission settings that   you need to read through if you have a problem  with them well don't click them but if you're   okay with it go ahead and click continue i'm  gonna change my account and i'm gonna select a   different account now this is all blurred out so  you can't see what i'm doing the biggest thing is   that you'll see that we set up a business manager  so if you did not set up your business manager you   would not be able to do this so it's important  you you've already set up your business manager   so i'm changing my account going through this now  i'm selecting an ad account that is associated   with that business manager account if you didn't  have that that's no problem you would have been   able to um create a new one and that's the option  there now because we set up both of these pixels   you can see this is all done today i'm going to  go ahead and select the one that we set up in   this recording click continue all my details  look right you can leave this on or off um i   would say anytime you have the option to get more  data back from facebook go ahead and do it we'll   click continue and uh if we want to make sure that  the wordpress app can manage stuff on our behalf   we can click that i don't like wordpress doing any  managing anything for me um but what i would do   is i will not let it allow my business manager  but um the other stuff i'm okay with so now it's   actually going through the process of linking  my website with facebook so we'll let it   run its course and once again through the magic  of editing when this is done we'll go ahead and   pick back up okay as you can see it's i'm all set  i'll go ahead and click done and then we'll let   everything update here and of course this place  right here where it says connection is pending   um it's going to take me through some prompts just  to make sure that i set up everything correctly   and i did do it um someone didn't hack my system  but i actually trust what's happening so at this   point um we just want to make sure that we're all  good i'm not going to create an ad i'm not going   to manage anything we're just going to going to  keep it moving so actually let's close this out   okay now that everything is done you can see  that it's gone i just clicked the button to make   sure that we were good um you can do something at  this point we really don't want to touch anything   all we wanted to do was create our pixel and then  install it with our wordpress website now at this   point you're done your pixel is done but if you  want to feel good about it and you want to make   sure well what you can do is go to the front of  your website and there is an extension um that i   use in google chrome browser it's called facebook  pixel helper now with the facebook pixel helper   plug-in or extension it shows me that on this  website i now have my pixel installed so if you   would like to do that too you can go to the  chrome store and you can see the name of it   it is facebook pixel helper and if you have that  in chrome you go to your website you can see here   on my website the pixel we created is installed  and now i can get back to get back to my life   running my ads or doing the stuff that i wanted  to do now that the facebook pixel is installed   there's probably some things that we went through  um that you might have questions about go ahead   and drop those in the comments i'll make sure to  respond but as far as this video and making sure   that you have your facebook pixel on your website  you're done so give yourself a little pat on the   back thank you so much for watching you should  be proud of yourself i look forward to delivering   more content like this so if you like it make  sure to like and subscribe until then take care
