How to clean a GP-5/ShM-62U Respirator/Gas Mask

right this is a requested video on how to clean a gp5 gas mask or technically a Soviet SH m60 to you gas mask and it's done the exact same way as I showed in how to clean I have a gas mask video so you put it in the stomach there we go you put some warm water in so you don't want it to be too hot it's a bit of hot and cold water you don't have to worry about the actual metal rusting in the mouth as long as you don't leave it in there for super amount of time although so you just want to poke it and make sure all the mask is under the water obviously if you're doing in the kitchen sink it's a bit easier so normally a bit bigger then you want to put in either some dish soap or antibacterial soap as long as it's not a really strong smelling stuff so I've just got some antibacterial soap here so I was queer the load of that in right stir that around with my hand you can of course put a bit war and put the soap in and churn it up and then do remember at the masking it doesn't really matter all right so that's all in there pretty much submerged and we are going to leave that in here for a few minutes then I will come back we were assume the video and I'll show you what to do next but if you saw my video on how to clean a gas mask or respirator it's literally the exact same thing there is nothing special about a gp5 but lots of people did request this video because apparently they have a bit worried they might damage their gp5 for some reason following the instructions on the other video so here I am rehashing it just with the GP 5 int so see you in a minute right that's been in the sink quite a few minutes now so pull the plug out give that shape as the water drains out now it's gonna give the mask a rinse down [Music] so the rinse the inside of the lenses now just in case Akagi there we go no we need to do is let the mask dry off but other than that it's absolutely clean now if you wanted to you could wipe it down faster with a bit the kitchen roll obviously the metal parts the only bit that could rust it might be worth just sitting out like that to dry so the metal bits aren't going to be you know full of water but other than that that's basically how you clean your gp5 when you want to dry it off just use kitchen towels or you know a kitchen roll that sort of stuff and that's how you clean a gp5 it's nice and straightforward if you've got a load of talc in it then you might want to use a damp cloth to wipe the towel count but you know cleaning a gp5 is really easy that's the reason I never really bothered doing a video specifically on this because it's the exact same thing as cleaning any other respirator you
