How to Build a PALLET DECK! DIY PALLET DECK any BEGINNER can do FOR CHEAP!! Woodworking Fun!

[Music] welcome welcome welcome to another episode of don't keep up with the Joneses green thumb edition yes one of the new segments of what we'll be doing offering you all who tuned in and today I'm about to do some pilot work okay I'm about to turn old use pallets into a beautiful decking paradise yes so first up I got to bring the pellets in the garage because I got to break them down so that I can you know get them ready to be laid out and leveled out alright so those bad boys in you can see I have four of the pallets here I have one over here and I have two more that actually have on the side of the house so one there and one down there just because I need the extra parts but the goal for this experiment and I don't know what you call it but whatever it is is I'm gonna put a deck in here so the decking is gonna go here however to get it here I have to do my work in the garage and so I'm gonna do it the old-school way I know there's multiple ways of skinning this cat or getting the job done if you have a cat I do apologize but I'm used a crow bar and hammer method yes old-school functional reliable all blood sweat and tears hopefully no blood cuz I got stuff to do today oh yeah man i'ma just do what I do hit this time lapse and let y'all uh see the fruit of my muscles and as always safety is first so please if you don't please wear your glasses please wear your glasses please wear your gloves get the job done and keep it light together when you finish okay [Music] oh man oh oh all right so just learned some more by myself that I can do it I can do it I can really do it um watch out for these planks that have the because they all have the nails in them so I'll probably hit it with a hammer to get the nails out of course line them back up in there so it be nice and tight you know I'm saying so to be safe to walk Oh matter of fact I'm gonna just show you all the area that I'm gonna put it in [Music] all right so put the boards down four boards down as you can see they are not leveled probably can't see it from where you are but where I am you can see like the buckle in the middle so I have some blocks I'm gonna put it down to get it all together no good ha ha ha ha Oh relax yourself it's your cup of water something yes sir ever going alright great neighbors you gotta love them man got to be nice to people around you because they are around you anyway so deck down boom Shakalaka boom Shakalaka boom ok so now come back like I said I have some pavers and I'ma put to level everything off but now I'm about to get the planks the good ones they didn't splinter a break knock the nails out of them of course with a hammer and begin to apply those bad boys to the board [Music] so what I got there by pulling out the nails out of the board is that a lot of the boards were rejecting they were rejecting the nails being taken out you know so I can split it just wasn't good so I'm gonna just figure out what I have I may have to go to the store to get some more but in the meantime in between time at that level the you know boards and all that good stuff I got my nails here boom found them at Home Depot it's actually four dollars for a box of eighty six screws Phillips head of course most people have Phillips head screwdrivers that you can use that's what I'll be using my screwdriver here also picked up at Home Depot as well I'm not today but you know when I did go get some power tools I chose the Rio Blee family and I have a lot of their products and the batteries you know just easily go to all of the various power tools so ma I'm gonna go ahead and level out to my deck and then how long you know bring you up honor to the journey I'm tired I'm not gonna lie to y'all it's hard work but it's gonna pay off because guess what when it's finished I get to relax on it that does give me energy to get it done alright and get moving [Music] so here comes the fun part when I get to or together [Applause] [Music] ladies gentlemen there you have it the deck okay leveled out had to add a couple of boards out of Center block in the center boom now it's the fun part just reapply the planks they were already there and I probably get some more but it's okay progression is a part of the process trying try to do it all in one day you know why cuz I'm still gonna live here tomorrow so and getting paid for it might as well take my time and do it right alright great people this is day three of the project and as you can see the boards have been cut I have not nailed them all down because I still have to do some structural actually put a board I stuck a board in there in between the slits because of course there is four separate pallets here and I slid a board up under to connect the four there so what looks like on the outside what it looks like on the outside it was ultimately on the inside so I'm gonna go ahead and connect the two boards so I have that support in structure there and then I'll go ahead and finish off on applying all the boards like I said it's really not here I just had to do a little something making sure I had everything necessary to get the job done there of course that is the pallet boards before I do the paint which I did pick up some paint some be trying that out to see which paint I decide on for the color of this deck area so yeah man it's pretty simple at this point I'm gonna go ahead and apply the support beams on the inside and then I'll nail down the planks if it gets too dark I will do a video in the morning when the you know sun's out cuz we fell back a couple days ago and now I guess extremely dark extremely early so I'm gonna go ahead and do my part and if you haven't already done so please comment like and subscribe to this channel but there's so many different things to take place at his home and knowing that I'm very big on having a green thumb like even these plant that plant I repurposed from the backyard this one I repurposed on the back yard as well I'm supporting it it's in a little shock mode right now so that's why it looks a little droopy but when it stands back up strong it be a nice beautiful front yard it plant so different things like that I mean I love to do I love to repot plants let the plants indoor plants and outdoor plants and now taking up carpentry so I'm gonna do my part to do all I can do hopefully showing you all like I'll show you until it gets extremely dark and if I need to I'll follow up in the morning so [Music] as I expected it would be too dark to film oh that's it on this piece I might have to add a piece but um yeah is it the deck is here as you can see I'm also putting a border around start over here putting a border on so that you don't see it but ma this is it eyelet beat finito done It's A Wrap eyelet that is done just that easy wasn't bad three day project three days this could be you again I'm filling the border and all that good stuff I'm also paint that'd be another video on the paint it and filling
