Hey Youtube Coppersan here! Already have a main but you’re always dry on meso? Already used up all your exp cards and totems? Well then perhaps it is time to start looking into bossing mules! Especially if you’re playing on the reboot server! With the Destiny update the prices of the crystals dropped by bosses has been increased in the reboot server. If you can defeat weekly bosses from Hard Hilla to Akechi that already is an additional 1 billion mesos per week that you can make. And this goes up to almost 1.5b a week if you can clear up to normal Damian. Not to mention you can easily make another billion a week from just clearing daily bosses. Plus you will be getting a ton of cubes, souls and other useful items that you can use across your characters. So having at least one bossing mule is super beneficial! Which class you want to make your bossing mule is entirely up to you. All classes are viable even though some do require a bit more funding than others. For example a phantom bossing mule would require a bit more stats than an Adele bossing mule. However I would recommend picking a class that you are comfortable bossing with. Bossing on lower stats can be challenging. And growing bossing mules takes time. So if you’re already comfortable with the class you’re bossing with it will be easier to dodge boss mechanics. My own bossing mule is a Paladin. Because I am a lazy bosser. I don’t want to work too hard when bossing so I prefer to tank as much as possible without running the risk of dying. Even though Paladin's damage might not be the highest among the explorers, bossing with this class is fun and easy for me so I don’t mind getting a few more stats. My other bossing mule is a wind archer, mostly because of the same reason as the paladin but in a slightly different way. Wind archers can place down a crystal that bosses will attack instead of you. I am a big fan of ignoring boss mechanics and the wind archer helps me achieve that. If you’re not sure yet yourself which class you want to boss with I can also recommend the demon slayer, those have high critical rate on their attacks and additional boss damage and ignore defence. Honestly any explorer would make a fine bosser after the destiny update. And classes like Adele, Ark Hoyoung all are pretty solid as well. I’ll make a new video soon going more in depth on which classes have high base stats and are easy to get started on. Progressing on a bossing mule can be fast, especially if you’re burning your bossing mule. The temporary level 150 set and the absolab weapon that you’ll get once you reach level 220 will make things so much easier. I can always recommend burning a bossing mule if the burning event is active. Usually the first goal for your bossing mule is to be able to beat up the chaos root abyss bosses comfortably and then slowly work your way up to the lotus and damian bosses. With 7.5k stats on my Paladin I was able to take down all four root abyss bosses within a decent time. And I am sure that once I reach about 14k or 15k stats I’ll be able to solo Lotus and Damian pretty fast. I have a guide video that explains more about how to fight them if you’re not sure about their mechanics. Increasing in your main stat helps. But there are more factors at play when it comes to defeating bosses fast. Like critical rate, damage, boss damage, ignore defence and stats like critical damage. Raising all those stats will help you boss faster and level faster as well. So how do you up those stats? Let's go over which gear I like to use when it comes to bossing mules. If you are using a burning character make sure to use the temporary fafnir set. If not don’t have those you can either use the pensilar set, von leon set that is obtained from the von leon boss and coin store. Or the Necromancer set that is obtained from Hilla. In the case of my paladin I was burning so I had the temporary fafnir set. For rings I usually use a von leon ring, the ring dropped by horntail and any other ring that I can get. If you can get event rings definitely get those. The Kanna ring dropped by Princess no is super good as well. But that boss is on about the same level as the first three bosses of chaos root abyss. My pocket slot item is a pink holy cup dropped by pink bean. For pendants I usually go with the horntail pendant and mechanator pendant dropped by Arkarium. I switch out the horntail pendant once I can get a dominator pendant also dropped by the boss Arkarium. I usually either use a pink bean belt or Zakum belt. The Zakum belt has slightly higher stats than the pink bean one. But the pink bean belt is easier to get. The zakum belt is only dropped by chaos zakum. And you’ll need about 3k stats and 80% ignore defence stat to deal with that boss. My eye and face accessory are usually also the ones dropped by regular and chaos zakum. If I find a black bean mark from pink bean I swap those out. My shoes are usually pensailar or necromancer if I found one with good bonus stats. But I do usually replace those with the shoes dropped by normal and hard magnus if those have better stats. Earrings and shoulder are also part of the boss accessories. With the earrings dropped by Hilla. The horntail earrings work fine as well. And the shoulder is dropped by magnus. For gloves I again am using pensilar unless I find a better glove from von leon or hilla. The same goes for the level 150 items dropped by hard ramaru. Feel free to use them if you find one that has decent stats. For my cape I am using a Zakum cape, and I replaced that one recently with the cape dropped by hard magnus. You can also save the Zakum cape and transfer hammer that to your abolab cape if you’re going for that. For your totems you can complete the afterlands theme dungeon for free totems. I think that is the best value for your time. Or you can hunt for totems in shanghai. But only if you have enough time for that. The gollux accessory set is pretty good as well. But getting them all is a very long grind. And they are not necessary to reach our goal. The same goes for some of the gear obtained from Commerci. You can go for that as well but only if you have enough time to burn on gearing your bossing mules. You can clear up to lotus and damian without those as well. My double miracle time was just yesterday so I did not save up 2 billion meso yet for an android heart. This heart can get 8 additional starforce and you can cube it as well. This item won’t make or break your boss runs but it's a nice item to have. Just don’t go broke on it. There are other items that are more impactful that you can work on first. So that’s the gear that I am using to get up to lotus and damian. I am at 12k stats right now. Growing your stats will be your biggest time investment. I am condensing stuff a lot in this video. Feel free to check out my zero to hero series to see what I upgraded when exactly and what the hurdles were. I first get all items to 10 stars, don’t starforce superior items by the way. Then I work on getting potential on all items. You can find potential scrolls from bosses, in the legion store, event stores and many other places in the game. There are three items that you always want to focus on first when cubing your gear. Starting with your weapon, secondary or shield and emblem. You can skip your weapon if you are using a fake absolab or temporary fafnir weapon. These items can get lines of attack and magic attack which you always want depending on your class. As well as boss damage and ignore defence lines which are valuable for bossing. After that you can cube your other items depending on if you plan to replace them anytime soon. I for example first focused on the rings I plan to keep for a longer time and my other accessories after that. If you already have your permanent level 150 top hat and bottom then cube those as well! I myself won't bother with the shoes, gloves and cape too much since you want to replace those with the absolab gear at one point. If you plan to go for lotus and damian of course. I will just get them to epic and roll 6% of my main stat on them using occult cubes. When I am cubing I like to be a bit greedy. I always try to get at least 2 relevant lines on my items potential. Once you did that and have some spare items try to get your gear to 17 stars with starforcing. If you want to save meso only starforce during sunny sundays when there is a discount on star forcing or when some stars are guaranteed to succeed. Unless you’re feeling lucky of course. After that you can focus more on your bonus stats, using flames to get the stats that you want. So in short, get all items to at least 10 stars when possible. Get potential on all items and rank them to epic. Aim for at least 6% of your main stat on every item. After that go for higher potential ranks and at least 2 useful lines. Focus on your emblem, secondary and weapon first. Then focus on other gear that you won’t replace or won’t replace fast. Then try to get items to 17 stars and then try to perfect your bonus stats using flames. To start defeating weekly bosses it is recommended to get at least 100% critical rate. This will boost your damage by a lot. The Phantom link skill gives a good chunk of critical rate. So does the beast tamer link skill and the explorer archer link skills. The Night Lord and Marksman their legion effect also gives critical rate. If you’re struggling try to up your damage as well. This can be done with a lot of link skills. Classes like Ark, Kain, Demon Avenger, Kanna, Illium, explorer thief, cadena and more all increase damage. The wild hunter legion effect also has a chance to increase damage. The most important stat when you’re bossing is ignore defence. To further increase this stat get the luminous, hoyoung, explorer magician and Zero. Zero’s link skill is not the greatest though but could be of help when you’re short on just a bit more IED. The beast tamer and blaster legion effects also increase ignore defence. Another thing you can do is get familiars. Sometimes you get lucky and get an ignore defence line on them. These can appear on any familiar. You can increase your main stat also by simply levelling up and completing your dailies so you can keep improving your arcane symbols. Another absolutely massive part of your damage are going to be your nodes. Make sure to level those up as well and use any relevant nodes. The higher level you are the more nodes you unlock so the more skills you can slot in. And finally don’t forget about your hyper stats either! You can get more nodes from simply grinding and events usually. Well you have seen my gear right now. I want to get just a bit stronger, get a few better event rings and a bit more potential. Then I can comfortably defeat lotus and damian. I think for bossing mules up to those two bosses its smart to try and get the absolab cape, gloves, shoes, shoulder and weapon. Starting with the gloves. That would be the next goal for me. If you plan to do the same make sure to do the scrapyard and demon camp weeklies on multiple characters so things speed up even faster! And that’s how I like build my own bossing mules. Got any own tips to share? Feel free to leave them in the comments! And that was all for today!
