Hey Youtube Coppersan here! If you would have asked me to make this video
a year ago I would have laughed because I never touched any of those bosses but hey
here we are 1 year further and all these bosses are a piece of cake. In today's video I’ll be explaining how
you can fight Chaos Zakum, the Chaos root abyss bosses and Hard Magnus. In the next video I will go over Princess
No, Chaos Papulatus, Normal Lotus and Normal Damian. There are time stamps throughout the video
for each boss! Starting off with the 8 armed statue of slaps,
Chaos Zakum. When you’re able to start beating this boss
really depends on your class and stats. My Demon Slayer could first beat this boss
with 5k main stats and 85% IED and boss 105% damage, while my wind archer could beat this
boss at 4k stats with 75% IED and 181% Boss Damage. The best way to figure out if you’re ready
is to just try! During the first phase of the fight zakum
will attempt to squish your character like a bug by raising his hands and slapping down. Look out for the indicators on the ground
and move out of the way. If you’re in a bad spot a skill that gives
an invincibility frame can be used as well to dodge the attack. Just make sure to time it right with the arms
coming down. Or if your class has an upwards jump you can
also jump in the air to avoid the attack completely. I always focus on one side of Zakum. If you destroy its arms, zakum will stop smashing
them down. So if you can take down one side of arms it
will make your life a lot easier. Once the arms respawn I move to the other
side to fight the already weakened arms and repeat. At one point Zakum will start the floor is
lava minigame where you have to stand on the platforms to avoid continuous damage. Zakum will clap his hands together one shotting
everyone who stands on one of the three platforms. Where this attack is going to hit is shown
by an indicator giving you a few seconds to react. Destroying the arms on one side will stop
zakum from smashing his hands together. For example if you defeat the bottom two arms
the bottom platform will be safe until they respawn. If you’re having trouble with phase 1 because
you keep dieing when you respawn, the resistance link skill could be of help. This skill makes you invincible for a few
seconds when you respawn which helps a ton with this boss. Also when you defeat all arms too fast zakum
will go into an enraged mode. Preventing you from dealing damage for a while,
zakum starts summoning mobs and does a full screen attack that will deal 99% damage. This phase sucks so I would just take it easy
and if you are strong enough to defeat all arms before zakum drops to about 20% HP. Just keep fighting one side of zakum without
destroying all the arms. That way you can skip this phase and just
go to the final phase without any issues. The final phase has stuff falling from the
ceiling that slows your character and prevents you from jumping away. So try to avoid those. Because Zakum will jump and slam down instantly
killing everyone who isn’t in that green cube that spawns just a few seconds before
zakum lands. You can bind zakum to prevent this attack
for a bit. And like always invincibility frames help
as well. This should be enough to get you through this
boss fight! Next up is the chaos chicken Von Bon. This boss can require anywhere between 6k
to 10k stats and around 85% IED depending on your class. This boss can be unlocked after clearing the
related Root Abyss quest line and defeating the normal version 5 times. Before you try frying this chicken make sure
to lower your skill transparency because the hardest part of this boss fight is seeing
what the hell that chicken is doing. Von Bon spawns clocks on the map. The light clocks will speed up the timer if
von bon stands in them, and the dark clocks increase the timer. So unless you can burst him down you want
von bon to stand in the dark clocks as much as possible. This boss teleports and moves around so try
to lure him to the right spot. Also be careful that you don’t bind the
boss in the wrong clock or that little maneuver is gonna cost you all 10 minutes of your fight. Von bon also shoots an orb that will oneshot
you. But you can either dodge or jump over the
attack to avoid it. Invincibility frames work as well of course. After you drop Von Bon to about 80% of his
health he gets another attack to spice up his arsenal. Thankfully the spice ends mostly there unlike
the 11 spices and herbs from kfc. This chicken isn’t seasoned that well. Von Bon jumps in the air and slams down. Everyone who is still on the ground will die. So jump style isn’t dead yet when fighting
this boss. Those mushmom mechanics are still strong on
Maplestory. One tip I can give is to play with your sound
on. As von bon has a sound queue every time he
does that jump attack. Von bon will always jump attack after shooting
two killer orbs. So count those and avoiding the jumps should
be a lot easier. Von Bon will also create a shadow of your
character ever now and then. After a few seconds your character gets teleported
back to that location. Make sure to lure von bon away to prevent
any unfortunate work accidents Keep lowering his HP while keeping the clocks
in mind. Once von bon gets a bit lower he will retreat
into a different dimension. Follow him there and defeat his clone to go
back to the normal dimension. You’ll take continuous damage in that dimension
so be careful. Von bon can also seal you in there. One you reach the end of the fight Von Bon
will unlock his final attack, he teleports away and spreads his wings pushing anyone
who is too close backwards. Also stuff will fall from the sky. Avoid that at all cost because those bigger
ones can deal a lot of damage. I hope you don’t think this mode is too
bad yet. Just wait until we get to hard magnus. Just avoid him when he teleports and don’t
get too close when fighting and you should be fine! Next up is the Chaos Crimson Queen! Which besides von bon is one another of the
easier bosses of chaos root abyss. Similar to the chicken I recommend anywhere
between 6k and 10k stats and around 85% IED to challenge this boss. And again do keep in mind that some classes
need a bit more and some classes need a bit less. The Queen is basically four monsters in one. She swaps faces and with that also attack
patterns. This is her normal face. When she is wearing this face. Wow, that is a weird sentence. The queen her claw attack will blind you. She also does a purple breath attack which
can easily be avoided by simply standing behind her when you see her charging it up. Or move far away enough so you don’t get
hit. She also will cast an aura in this mode that
deals damage over time which can be really annoying. This aura stacks so be careful! Then there is her Winking Face. Her normal attacks seal and she summons a
mirror that will seduce you. I guess you’re just too hot to resist. Break the mirror as soon as you see it else
you will die. And she also spawns hearts that deal about
50% damage per heart. So don’t go jumping into those. Once she switches to her smiling face, be
careful of her sucking attack. That one really sucks the life out of you. If you touch the queen while she is performing
the big suck you will die. So you’re better off avoiding that. And her most dangerous face is her bleeding
tears face. The queen will cast damage, reflection and
zombify. While you’re under that effect if you use
potions you’ll take damage instead of healing yourself which can be very deadly. Generally when fighting the queen you want
to avoid the claw swipes and status effects that this attack brings with it. Make sure to break the mirror as soon as you
see it and be careful of her zombify status. Every face of the queen is also a different
monster. So you can bind every single face if you want
to. Unlike the regular 90 second cooldown time
on bind. And it is even more awesome if you are playing
a class like shade that can reset their binds. Or are in a party with classes with multiple
binds make sure to make use of this. Don’t stick too close to her and make sure
to avoid her attacks. It will take some practice but you got this!! The worst out of all bosses in root abyss
is this stupid clown. This fight is no joke and I would rather fight
3 chaos vellums than 1 chaos pierre. Pierre can wear one of three hats which he
switches every 30 seconds once he drops below 70% health. In purple mode he just walks around and pushes
you away with his umbrella. Be careful of the hats falling down which
will lock you in place until you break free from them. Once he wears a red hat he will teleport away
and disappear at the location of either yourself or a party member unleashing a oneshot. Avoid this by just moving away to a different
spot. When he wears the blue hat he will start spinning
around. The fire will deal some minor damage over
time and touching pierre will seal you so be careful. When fighting pierre your character will get
a random hat assigned to them as well. If you are wearing a red hat and pierre is
wearing a blue one you will deal double the damage to him. If you’re wearing the same hat as him you’ll
heal him instead and if he is wearing a purple hat and you’re wearing a red hat you’ll
deal normal damage to him. Dying will remove your hat. Pierre’s fight is pretty ok, until his HP
drops below 30% which is around this point. Then the worst boss mechanic ever invented
in maplestory will happen. Pierre will split. Creating two bodies who will always have different
hats and need to be defeated within 5 seconds of one of them dying or they will keep respawning. Epic stuff. So ideally what you want to do if you are
soloing pierre is wait for his HP to hit around this spot. And then wait until you get a hat of the opposite
color. So either when Pierre is red and you’re
blue or the other way around. That way you’ll deal double the damage which
will make bursting a lot easier. Bind him if you can and burst him down before
he has the chance to split. This is easier said than done and will take
a lot of practice. If you cannot do this you will have to defeat
both pierres at the same time which is super difficult and annoying. You can die to make sure you don’t have
a hat and try bursting down both of the clowns at the same time but mess it up and the one
looking like a clown will be you instead. The final boss of root abyss is vellum. Vellum is a lot tougher than the other 3 root
abyss bosses and I recommend to get at least around 10k of your main stat if you don't
want to struggle too much and 85% to 94% IED for this boss depending on your class. If you are struggling to up that IED stat
try getting the luminous, zero, ho young or explorer mage link skills. Familiars can give IED as well! Vellum will use dig to go underground and
you won’t be able to hit him. Then the next turn he pops out and deals a
ton of damage. Depending on if his body is fully out or only
half way out you will either die instantly or take a good chunck of damage. You don’t know which is going to so just
avoid it at all cost. During this fight tailes will pop out as well
that will also oneshot you, so also avoid those. To make things even more difficult there also
are rocks falling down from the ceiling that will stun you for a couple of seconds if they
hit. Which can be very deadly. Vellum has a few attacks that he can unleash. There is a fireball attack that will instantly
kill you. Move behind the boss at this time to avoid
the attacks. This is also a great opportunity to deal damage
to him as he will remain stationary for a while. Just be careful of the deals. If you can stay in one spot for a little while
you can try stacking the tails a bit to make it easier to dodge them. Vellum will sometimes also dig underground
and dive back up over a larger area. Avoid this at all costs because it will kill
you.But you can hit Vellum during his dive so at least you can get some damage in. Once his HP drops to about 60% vellum will
start using his lightning attack. This doesn’t kill you right away but does
deal about 70% of your HP as damage, and leaves an area on the ground that deals damage over
time. Again vellum is standing still at this time
which is a great opportunity to deal some damage but do try to dodge the lightning as
you could die from that if your HP is low. Vellum also has this fun attack where he shoots
a massive laser throughout the map that will suck you in and oneshot you. You will see a message appear on the top of
your screen, jump to one of the sides where you see vellum charging up his laser and stand
behind him. This can be tricky for low mobility classes. Try fighting vellum close to the center to
have more time to check which side he is on. And be super careful of the debris falling
as those will spell instant death. Pick your moments when your bursting and keep
in mind that damaging the tails that pop up won’t actually do anything. Also keep your positioning in mind when fighting
this boss and try to lure either the boss or the tails in spots that are favorable for
you. The final boss of this video is Hard Magnus. Hard Magnus is a death simulator. This boss isn’t about surviving as much
as it is about positioning. Everything in this boss fight will kill you. From the endless amount of blue and purple
balls falling down to every single attack magnus throws at you. The only thing that doesn’t kill you is
his dash. And his super push back. But this is bound to knock you into some unwanted
debris that will kill you anyway. Magnus has a few insta death attacks. If he shoots up in the sky and holds in his
wings like he is charging up his lasers that’s because that is exactly what he is doing. Stand right under him and you’re good. You can deal damage at this time as well. If he flies upwards with his sword pointing
down do not stand below him. Everything hit by that attack will get killed. And his most annoying attack is this one. He summons multiple spots on the map that
will be hit after a short delay. Killing everyone who stands inside those marked
yellow areas. Moving around ain't no easy task either. Besides the constant debris falling down if
you are outside of the blue zone around magnus you will take continuous damage, your own
damage is reduced and healing is reduced as well. If you’re outside the zone for too long
you will die. So sticking close to magnus is a must, but
that isn’t an easy task. To make things worse there is gas, lots of
gas. On the left and right edges of the map every
now and then gas will spawn which will stun you for a long ass period of time. Get gassed and you’re dead as can be. This is super troublesome because if you die
you’re always respawning at the left side of the map where the gas is. If magnus dashes towards you and sticks around
in that area it can be very deadly. If I am stuck in a loop like that I usually
make a mad dash to the center and die there so magnus will dash towards my floating dead
body. Magnus is a battle of perseverance. Don’t be afraid to die out a couple of times. Try to keep fighting in the middle as much
as you can. The “safe”and I put safe in quotation
marks area around magnus gets smaller as you deplete his healthbar. And more and more stuff will start falling
from the sky as the battle goes on. Time your invincibility frames wisely. And save your bind for the last part of the
fight. Or stay dead until your binds and iframes
are back up again and the boss can be bound again. Keep in mind binds only work on bosses every
90 seconds. Getting magnus down to zero can be very thought
towards the end so bind and burst to skip that part of expect to die out a lot of times. And those were the first six bosses! I’ll get to work on the next part featuring
lotus, damian, chaos pap, princess no and more right away! I hope this video was useful to you and As
