How PlayStation and Xbox Name Their Consoles

[Music] i can't believe they're making me do it oh hey hey uh welcome to xbox headquarters today we're making a video about uh every console we ever made and how all the names could completely make sense follow along friend we start our journey with the xbox original the thing that started it all then we move on to the xbox 360. now mind you this thing was pretty powerful it had almost half a gig of ram now we have the xbox 360 s for people that that wanted a xbox 360 s then we have an xbox 360 e uh this thing i think was more of a prank i actually don't remember ever producing this i i don't think it was real anyway now we have the xbox one our fifth console okay i know what you're about to ask xbox one why would you name it that if it's your fifth console and i have to let you know that my employer told me to make you leave the premises if you ask that question moving on and this brings us to our xbox one s for the people that uh forgot to buy the other one and then now we have the xbox one x see we added an x so you knew which one you were getting it's brand new and then we made the xbox series x because we added the the x and okay these two aren't connected but this ah okay i don't know what the hell this is i've never seen this a day in my life so that's that uh i hope you enjoyed it and uh uh uh jeez i wonder what playstation's up to hey everybody my name is uh mr playstation i'm gonna i'm gonna show you guys how we name our consoles uh what are you up to jeffrey oh am i on is it my oh hey everybody i'm playing the i'm playing the new playstation 5 and to i love the graphics and i love that i had to buy it from a scalper on ebay for fourteen thousand dollars because we only managed to produce about seven of them yeah that's great that's awesome uh anyway we're gonna go into the back and we're gonna show you a little sneak peek of how we uh name our consoles we got one guy around here that names them all he's kind of a genius uh let's go check it out hey guys i'm with the man himself to todd tyler something like that he's the genius behind all the names of the playstations uh maybe he can work his magic again with us today uh hypothetically if we were to make another console after the the playstation 5 what do you think we should name it oh let me think oh i wonder don't worry i've got an answer for you we'd name the console the playstation 6. oh my god bow down to the master we're not worthy how does he keep coming up with these
