How I Helped Ludwig Cheat In His Nuzlocke

so later he's been on a bit of a cheating spree he's a he's a little cheater boy he's a little cheater boy isn't he but that's okay you guys know me cheating is based and grinding his cringe if it's in the name of content when Ludwig hits me up to help him win the Nuzlocke he's been attempting for dozens of hours you think I'm gonna say no me the guy whose fault it is that every single person hacks infinite rare candies into their nail socks now I was gonna be the savior of the 135 people Ludwig had banned from his chat after Ludwig worked his way back up to eight badges he sent me a save file in the mail and let me cook up a team for him he would then have me on call for the Elite Four so I could make sure that he would pilot it correctly here's what I came up with okay so we're loaded into the Mogul Emerald ROM and into into lud's safe safe state right after the 8th gym badge our goal here is going to be to bring him through victory road find a team that he can do it with and then make him a team and a strategy for the Elite Four so immediately the first thing that stands out to me is that Ludwig has the most broken Pokemon in the game in his box and that is shidinja especially if you have full info on a game should ninja is incredibly broken and you can vote full strategies around it and that's exactly what we're gonna do for him think the basic idea is should Ninja can only be hit by certain status moves and then obviously dark ghost uh rockfire dark ghosts and be only hit by a rock flying dark ghosts and fire type moves so we can just structure the rest of the team to cover those weaknesses so let's start by putting shidinja in the party here I'm just making a general team for the uh Victory Road I have no info on that so we're kind of going through that blind uh we want to cover fire moves and rock moves I think Golem is going to be a really good addition to this team also covers flying moves this is actually pretty damn good pseudo Widow I saw was actually also buffed in this game but I think just because of the typing the rock ground typing also covering the rock weakness for shadinja um and I think Golem just kind of being the better Pokemon I think that's gonna be the play next up I think I like the starmy I see Hitmonlee here to cover dark type moves I really like that I kind of want to cover Ghost type move so normal type would be nice but all the normal types I see here are kind of ass we could cover the ghost moves with a dark type crawdon kind of stands out to me here or maybe just the Absol um I know that there's gonna be a Gardevoir in Victory that we want to deal with so I think bringing a dark type is probably going to be a good idea I mean that's a pretty decent move set I think Sableye just for the typing is going to be worth bringing here it's either the Kingdra or the Starmie I think what immediately stands out to me here is that this has both Ice Beam for coverage and recover which I think makes Starmie the winner here for the water type let's see if we actually have everything covered we have rock moves covered we have flying moves covered we don't have ghost moves covered we have dark moves covered and we have fire moves covered looks pretty good to me so there is actually a little calculator that you can use the Maryland team Builder I think we're actually already pretty good yeah the only thing that stands out is that obviously fairy type weaknesses that doesn't matter we do have two flying weaknesses and only one resistance to it and the same with grass types and then we have two ghost weaknesses and no resistance to that okay Ninetales flash fire means you can actually like completely PP stall any Pokemon with a fire move if you have Shedinja plus nine tails so that's actually kind of useful let's go with Ninetales and just make our way through victory road see how it goes so I saw that lud had five leftovers so we're gonna equip all those because it's like the best item in the game Focus band on this just for clutch yeah let's go buy some repels real quick [Music] all right let's just make our way to ever Grand City here let's Dodge these guys on speed up real quick foreign these guys on speed up real quick there we go all right we know that there is the Wally fight coming up um not really sure what he oh he leads with Altaria I actually saw that when a lot of wiped to it so we can just lead with Starmie here I was really worried about this Wally fight because we've seen Ludwig play it before much like we've all seen Ludwig's ball sack now does that does hit yeah so only future side hit Sable I can calm it as well oh yeah so this is actually really free so okay so here's an example on how we can place your ninja we know that Sky apricot will kill here so we know we have a free switch to Shedinja um because it's always going to go for Sky uppercut because AI will always go for a kill if he sees it and now we can check what move he wants to use on shadinja by switching to something else so the only thing that we're afraid of here is leech seed so let's just go to like Sableye just in case he doesn't have a moving goes for Sky uppercut yep and he actually doesn't have a move for it at all so he just switches and we now have confirmed that he has no moves to hit the that Berlin has no moves to ninja with so we can very safely go back and then just hit whatever he switches back in which is probably going to be I'm all well again there you go and yeah we can just continue to play it out like that make sure to open up like a map of Victory Road so you don't run into optional fights we're gonna drag this guy across the Finish Line I do not [ __ ] care care for arena trapped Trio on scarm trainer okay so I made it through victory road with this team should be pretty easy for a lot if he Dodgers all the optionals not that hard at all uh we're actually in the victory road now and we can start planning for this fight so I have the documentation for this Victory Road so we can actually start going through it we're gonna use what is known as the two notepad Strat here where we have the documentation on the left side and we have some notes on the right side for Ludwig on what to build here and for myself to build this team so we're gonna try to build a strategy around shidinja here and the way that we're gonna do it the way that you build teams around true ninja in cases like this is you're gonna look at all the Pokemon if you have full info you're gonna note down all the one that can't hurt your ninja and then you plan around the rest of the Pokemon we're gonna be facing Sydney here who pretty much his entire team can handle should ninja because they all have dark moves Catherine can only hurt sheninja with leech seed what's important to note here though is even though most of these Pokemon can hurt shidinja shidinja is still going to be incredibly good because it's going to work as a pivot do not ever switch sheddy into Umbreon we don't want him to do this because he has Pursuit this is gonna start out pretty difficult my immediate first thought is that hitmonly can probably one shot this Tyranitar judging by the switching AI Hitmonlee will probably bait out Umbreon because it sees a super effective move let's go into his box here look at some stuff um because honestly this team is kind of hard to beat actually if we're trying to do a shoot ninja strategy this is actually going to be pretty complicated so the Umbreon is kind of Walled by dark types because the only thing that's really threatening is the pursuit is the psychic um and we probably want a dark type on this team um also for Phoebe hey Manley can probably just stay in Intuit kale of The Umbreon right let's actually do the calc on that that's a two at Ko um most of the time I think it's probably gonna be fine okay so we're trying to find an answer for the Hound Doom now my process for this is usually I just kind of write down all the Pokemon that I need and then if you go beyond six you need to start going back and like figuring stuff out also one thing you can do is instead of going from the front you can go from the back yeah champ is literally free because the only way for him to hit should ninja is toxic so let's look into Sydney more because it seems like it's probably gonna be the hardest fight so kingroot would beat the Houndoom I believe this is pretty winnable if you can switch into I guess if he's sunny days it's kind of bad huh I think this gets rain dance you switch into the Houndoom fire blast there's a chance he may be sunny days in which case you are maybe taking a solar beam which is also fine because you can then just rain as and then you're set up and then you're guaranteed out speeding and killing with surf or you switch into a fire blast and then you click rain dance he either clicked sunny day or he click Crunch and then whatever happened um you just one shot with surf after just leaving that here whatever we have left on the team I can probably deal with the character and it's not that big of a deal let's move on to Phoebe so one thing I'm actually thinking here is that if we bring a normal type Pokemon this team starts to fall apart really quickly what I'm thinking is you can kind of just out maneuver all these Pokemon if you have a normal type plus should ninja you can theoretically PP stall all the Pokemon here that don't have willow wisp so yeah I think the ice type shouldn't be too crazy to deal with to be honest I think we can probably afford to put a Starmie on this team yeah the normal type stuff I don't know it's just the normal tips we have are kind of bad like we can consider like the noon I guess let's think about lenune here for a second um obviously the issue is we're immediately gonna get Willow Wisp and then also we're gonna have to have one player on Destiny Bond somehow oh there's like a really cool play that we could make here it would never chat would never believe that lud came up with this on his own but if we pre-paralyzed little noon we would only have to worry about Destiny bonds and we could just teach the lenune toxic this is too unbelievable nobody in chat would believe that lud came up with that but it would just completely wall this and then it's only the dusk lops left which is actually kind of a demon but I think Kingdra just one of the ones it so hail does beat should enjoy unfortunately there's no goggles or whatever to beat that well you know what Starmie actually full walls this um Lapras him only can probably switch in and kill this with Choice band brick break although that's the case for a lot of these guys Sudowoodo is so useless for the rest of this so let's try Raichu here instead of Sudowoodo because Sudo is kind of useless I feel like it's probably free from here to be honest like this team is not that threatening and we can start like sacking mons I think I'm down to just run some calcs with us right now him unleash a ninja Kingdra lenun Starmie Starmie and Raichu and um come back when I encounter like an issue but I think if I play this through I'm pretty happy with this team the prepare on lenune is like kind of a meme um I'm not really sure if Lut is but I I think it's like kind of a funny big brain moment to put in there I'll talk to a lot about it I think we're gonna have a call tomorrow real quick so I can talk to some strats about him so shirinja beats this I mean this these are these are just all weak to Ice Beam [ __ ] injure beats those yeah it's fine it's it's just flag on ataria and we have ice beam on Kingdra Ice Beam on stormy like we're gonna be okay I think I'm done with planning uh I think this is the team that can beat the Elite Four I'll just do one test run on my own to see if I can beat it this way if there's anything that I didn't account for I really like this Strat it's really cool there's some really fun stuff lud told me he's down to do the pre-pair of stuff I think it's going to be really obvious that he's cheating but I think it's gonna be fun anyway I'm not super happy with the Raichu it still doesn't really do that much but I think it gets the job done I think if we get past Glacier is really hard but we only need Starmie and Shedinja past glacier to win because those are the only two Pokemon we need to be Drake and the champion um and then this is the glalia this is kind of a demon um this likes to set up a light screen too so you can't really use any of the special attackers we just immediately got to go to this and um tank the crunch that it wants to do spedef drop really sucks I think that means that it only is dead here I think that means we actually need to Pivot I think we're gonna go back to Starmie and then back to this okay that's perfect and then we brick break we tank and we break break again really close call but it's going to be hype on stream and this pillow swine is actually also kind of a demon I think the easiest way to deal with this is just to go to the noon and just kind of use the noon until it dies and then Revenge kill this with Hitmonlee I think sacking this is just the correct move so I think you just go for the double protect okay and then you sack and then you go to this and you just [ __ ] kill them and then I think um Drake will be really boring because it's just [ __ ] ninja into killing two things with stormy but all right on strike that's easy and then when I get here the game just freezes so I can't do the champion fight uh but it should be fine LED should get through all right looks like my Strat works really well the only shaky thing is like I'm only getting critical or something should be fine barring like bad execution by a lot we should be okay all right cool I'm excited to see the next part of the video is going to be my call with Ludwig about this all right so to the Elite Four you will be bringing La noon Starmie oh really that [ __ ] my hm boy yeah that's that's gonna be the big that's gonna be the big brain chair okay Kingdra Hitmonlee and should ninja shidinja is the most important piece if you lose this guy that runs over should ninja plus Starmie beats the fourth Elite Four member and the champion so you can lose everything else before that for the linoon we're gonna do a a thing where um The Ghost type Elite Four member has two Pokemon that only have ghost moves and then status moves so like toxic and Willow Wisp so what we're gonna do is we're gonna paralyze the lenune before we go into the Elite Four okay so it cannot get poisoned or so this is gonna be you're gonna have to sell this to your chat somehow that you came up with this how do wait so poison before I even walk in you you paralyze it before you walk in yeah unlike a wild Pokemon the rest is pretty straightforward Hitmonlee is gonna be crazy on the dark type guy because you can get a choice band in the department store so you can like kill like four Pokemon in Victor Road don't lose Hitmonlee don't lose shadinja I think the rest we can probably work around but don't lose anything if you can sure yeah I'm just trying not to lose any of them ideally yeah yeah uh what is why is the fourth one so locked the fourth one is the Dragon one so it's it's all around it's just all it's just all about shoot ninja and it's just all about who can kill shadinja so the fourth one the Dragon one has only two ways to kill shadinja and Starmie just one shots both of those at like the start of the fight do they have a chance to Dragon Dance uh no because they're just gonna be killing them like do they have that move though they do but once those two are dead no other Pokemon can should enter and then on the champion there's literally only one Pokemon the Blastoise as toxic that can hit shadinja and then the rest is just free um and then like the Quagsire you can't toxic it so you might have like you might run out of pp on it so you probably have to kill Batman with stormy so what do I do to avoid the Blastoise I just used Army you would just use yeah you can teach stormy Thunderbolt and it'll just deal with it damn I had to do a lot of [ __ ] work then yeah there's gonna be a lot of like TM buying you have to like do a detour for like one like for like a rain dance TM for for Kingdra do you have a list of everything I need to acquire yes I basically just have to get to through victory road and get all my items yep and that's that's my main goal I I think as long as I'm aware of who I cannot lose I'll just make sure because I know that fight now uh because I failed it so I I can just um yeah for victory road that gets you through wait what's the team um it's starmy Golem Hitmonlee Sable I nine tail should ninja but that has Pokemon that you can't lose um so there's like a risk but like they're really good the thing they keep in mind about should ninja is like if you kind of understand the AI it becomes like really broken even if they have move that they can use against you having should ninja Out means they're kind of forced to always go for a move that kills it so you have like free switches and then you can kind of work off of that and then should engine can like come in for free if they don't use a move like that uh look I'm a dangerous man I do stupid things and I don't often know when they have have scary moves so I am worried yeah in my experience the most important thing is that you look up the way through victory road don't fight any optional trainers one thing that I do something because I don't remember all the paths through the these caves and stuff like that one thing that I sometimes do is like just look up like the the like world record speed run of that game and just look at their movement through the thing because that's going to be the fastest in avoiding all the trainers you're gonna have to come up with a story as to why you're going there or you're just gonna have to say yeah I want to do rain dance Kingdra all right balloon huh yeah the the preparer thing is going to be it's gonna be spicy I have no idea how you're going to double chat that you came up with that but yeah just avoid the optionals protect your ninja protect him only you should be fine all right gamer all right gamer I'm off to it I will have a good team and we can uh do it FRFR tomorrow far far all right good luck man with that lud was safely through victory road I hope he opens the map that I sent him hold up hold up I have played thousands of hours of this game I can but there was one more problem he would have to convince this chat that he came up with a pre-pareline strat and what he did was maybe even more genius than the strategy itself Ludwig pretended to put lunoon on his team as a filler slot while he thought about a sixth potential team member he then went down a new Marvel pretending to be looking for a Thunderball TM as he gets the moon paralyzed on a wild Pokemon keeping the paralyzed lunar in his party and making sure he has all the other tools he needs to beat the Elite Four that I told him about he stands in front of Victory Road and talks to chat and then pretends to accidentally run in he's so good he's so good he's so clean with it what if I alt f4 and this never happened I didn't even want to do the elite four today is he gonna do it now are we gonna be on call what if you did it though right now you can restart but we're gonna call you a cheater well then let's [ __ ] beat the game he better [ __ ] call me the plan was simple well it was actually Wonder guard simple isn't an ability in gen 3 but could Ludwig pull through we've seen him [ __ ] it up before no no immediately let encounter something I did not account for Tyranitar Sits Up Sand Veil for cactrian at the start of the fight and Blood starts missing attacks this means Hitmonlee is missing crucial Health that it needs to deal with the Absol mix effortless and cool luck doesn't stop there though as said Absol also ends up getting a Paralysis on our kingdom I try to have blood pushing through here the situation is so dire that I even have him not play around the crit next luck strikes a third time in kingroot flinches time for crisis management I could switch into star me on rock slide 100 does the Thunderball he can definitely thunderballs here I would 100 go Raichu here and then see see where we're at see if he Thunderbolts or not see what HP we're at but I think Raichu pivot is always correct here because you can limit where he goes okay well thank God I didn't switch into Starmie yeah I would just Thunderbolt here what if I just stay in what if I just stay in a t-ball this dude's [ __ ] lit I think it's it's not gonna kill but I should have learned earthquake on this guy you can protect once for leftovers recovery here he has Swords Dance though so probably don't I have love playing to one more crit to get Absol down into heel range with righteous Thunderbolt this means we finally take the tempo of the fight back into our hands using the heel turn to switch in him only for free and finish the fight one thing to point out in this fight is that we intentionally played into two crits on Kindra and Raichu to avoid one crit on Hitmonlee I'd love to do this because Hitmonlee was a much more important Pokemon for Valencia while King grunt Raichu were a bit more Expendable luckily the fight against Eamon goes a lot closer to the plan except for the fact that Alden misses every single toxic unstable eye okay this is gonna be Banette you're just going to go to the noon toxicant do not attack the Banette the Bennett has Destiny Bond only click toxic on the Banette it has Destiny Bond so this is where I do my genius swap into Lagoon and watch this out watch this out this literally cannot hit you laughs uh toxic okay wait wait does he have no moves if I just do this will he keep swapping all day is he just gonna swap our abilities back and forth it's probably going to click fly here I think it can only click oh wait it's stable I okay yeah you just do the same [ __ ] with Sableye just toxic here please hit you miss all of these that's kind of awkward 90. 75. oh you're being so cringe because she's going to full restore but it's fine who do I swap into I guess you would do Kingdra is probably the safest um the thing is it's eventually gonna start using Shadow Ball and toxic on lenune in which case you can kind of have to stop doing it but you can you can do kingdom kingdom until at noon definitely works for now oh wait if it only has toxic left it's gonna hit one of my Pokemon which is also fine the the kingdom being hit by toxic shouldn't matter for this fight um I just I would just make sure that you have a way to heal it after the fight you kind of have to kill this now it's really awkward um go to you can you can go Starmie here and just click surf um you will lower it spedef a lot you're actually gonna like do a lot of damage to it use toxic I only have one toxic PP left and he has like four uh whatevers I I think Starmie has a strong enough defense that I can bring starmy in and then tank the struggles and then hit it with Just Surf and kill this is so pathetic on honestly both her ends BG's all round plus I also have recover if it's like a crit why didn't I just do that at the start why why didn't I do that like five years ago the most difficult fight of the Elite Four however was always going to be Glacier or in Mogul Emerald slime especially because slime was getting about as lucky as Nicholas with his Lapras luckily at this point Ludovic and I had made far enough to where we could start playing very fast and loose and with the old dick twist okay that did just over half that's perfect that is the perfect amount of damage wait it's a shell Bell why the [ __ ] would they have a shell belt oh yeah you can quick attack kill him do you think they're gonna use a potion though no uh they will save the potion for walrin I think they used a potion never mind my bad I definitely kill after two Thunderbolts now uh he's gonna start body slamming you now we can [ __ ] around a little bit we're gonna style on him a little bit blood you can switch to Kindra here he will he's body slamming here switch to Kingdra King draws faster which forces him to use icy wind then you go back to Raichu and you're faster for another turn you can Thunderbolt again so if we swap into another Pokemon and then swap back into Raichu will go back to being faster don't go Kingdra it's Dragon um okay I'm gonna go back he's still icy wins here even even with paralysis not it's it was kind of a throw but I'm lucky yeah this is um yeah heal here is actually really good he's gonna go up for Icy win the next two turns you could probably also just t-ball twice and kill um but heel is also fine ah stop body slamming me why is it butt okay Body by the a I know I'm not really sure why um because it's supposed to icy win you if you're faster I probably saw a kill huh and that's why it's good I think it might still icy ones bro oh that's really bad this is so [ __ ] bad we're still I got a kind of fine yes thank you thank you finally something goes my way oh they've used two potions I'm allowed to use one more yeah you can heal again I would probably do it here I could also you know what no never mind okay don't get fully paired here and you're fine okay GG everyone um really [Laughter] fascinating just just hit it just hit the Thunderbolt do it for the boys you hit this one 10 out of 10 times you hit this one oh no oh great oh it's such a [ __ ] miraculous move from Lapras you piece of [ __ ] one percent chance that happens um kill this with Starmie we have rude to throw don't worry dude I cannot believe that I got first of all I should have bought four stores first of all I shouldn't have gone to the [ __ ] Elite Four first of all I I should have kept my loom parallel there's so much I did wrong here and with that it was literally Checkmate the rest of the Elite Force Pokemon would easily be countered by should ninja and Starmie and let even kept other Pokemon alive as well unless somehow Ludwig and I would encounter a nuzlocker's worst nightmare no I'm not talking about bad RNG I'm not talking about corrupted save files I'm not even talking about your dad having you explain what Emerald Kaizo is at a family gathering I'm talking about inaccurate documentation maybe I like some dramatic sound effects or something if this Venusaur knows a single move that can take out shinja ludowic actually loses the run here and in the end it all came down to the Nuzlocke Gods wait this wasn't part of his team uh um that's not part of the documentation oh [ __ ] let's hope this can actually wait ninja Luddy I don't know funny all right well he used two potions let's just use a potion just son of a [ __ ] why does he have a Venusaur it's water I think it's like water grass or something right if it's water grass just ice cream oh my [ __ ] god why did that do so much oh okay it's the last Pokemon we don't have to freak out here I can switch out into shadinger he's going to use Giga dream that I can use protect to suss out if he has a move that kills shredinja if he uses a move that kills your ninja then I can swap out and then maybe shuffle my way to a toxic win or something [Music] he goes for the Giga tree now we get to find out with a single protect if he has toxic which is what we're scared of you when he used water spout that is called being a closer you use water spout really all right boys [Music] [ __ ] G after 45 hours in over a month all it took was throwing my head against the wall big old brain to get
