what is going on guys my name is jon and welcome back to yet another video if you played legends rcs before you know that a big part of progressing through the main story of the game is completing research tasks after completing one you're given points that increase your rank and across the entire decks there are thousands you can do to rank up to unlock new features and areas of the game after completing a certain amount of them for a specific pokemon you'll eventually reach the completed rank 10 but if you manage to mark off every single task the icon updates to a secret ranking called perfect so what does it take to get them all today we're going to find out how easy you can get a perfect pokedex and pokemon legends arceus so the goal for this challenge is super straightforward as i have to perfect all 242 pokemon in the entire pokedex if there's a task for that pokemon i have to do it i stream nearly the entire challenge on my twitch channel to help document the process so if you're interested in more stuff like this i'm probably live right now working on the next challenge before getting the video be sure to leave a like and subscribe for more content roughly only 40 of the people that watch my videos are actually subscribed and you can always change your mind down the road if you don't like my content so i'm sure the first and main question you have is why why would you want to do this and considering that i was asked this about 50 times a stream i'd think it's a fair question the answer is simple content baby in all seriousness i think of a major completionist and just wanted to see how long it would take and in my head i figured this would take about two weeks to finish if i stream like 10 hours a day considering that we're now in march i'm sure you can tell it's a little bit more difficult than that so let's break down this challenge in total the base game for legends has 242 pokemon with perfection difficulties ranging from okay i can knock all these out in 45 minutes to oh god why did i even start this challenge in the first place now odds are if you play through the entirety of the game you've probably perfected around three to five entries by accident and definitely have a lot of tasks completed if you're going for specific unlocks that we'll address a bit later to put in perspective if you wanted to just perfect the three main starter lines it would require you to complete 282 different tasks and we'll talk more about the other 233 pokemon as we go along well there's a lot to cover here so let's just jump right into the challenge on the release date of the game i initially didn't really have the idea or goal of perfecting my pokedex and that's mostly because i didn't know exactly how much effort would go into it so the first few days were solely based around catching everything in order to complete the entire story despite that there were a lot of really important things i learned along these days that definitely help with completing a bunch of the dax that i'll explain in a bit some big tasks completed during this time we're completing the main story doing the spirit tomb side quest and completing a bunch of other requests which are coincidentally sometimes required in order to perfect a pokemon with a specific quest on screen right now you're probably wondering you must have got a lot of shinies doing this challenge right uh yeah just a couple on the night of the 30th i really had the urge shiny hun in this game because of how many encounters you could see at once so i figured that i should perfect what i wanted in order to make my chances as good as they could possibly be i ended up perfecting shanks starlee and wermpul but i think it's important now just to show what the requirements are for what's considered to be an easy pokemon to perfect let's take a look at starly so the first line requires you to catch a certain amount of pokemon which is a constant through every single entry in the decks you need at least one pokemon to register in the dax so this one makes sense i need to catch 25 in order to perfect it which sounds like a lot but if you think of how many starly you see in one playthrough of the game it's really not that bad oddly enough the pokemon that need to be caught the most are typically the easiest pokemon to perfect as there are a ton of them available in multiple locations of the game whereas ones where you have to catch three to five are usually only available in one location next up is i have to catch 20 without being spotted because each pokemon has their own personality traits in the wild there are sometimes requirements where you have to figure out these traits and they can vary dramatically depending on the pokemon now you're probably wondering if i catch a starly without being spotted does that count as a point for both entries and the answer is absolutely yes there are many opportunities where you can knock out multiple research tasks at once so it's important to take a look at what you have to do as a whole before trying to perfect each pokemon the remaining ones are defeating 15 of them catching different forms which most of the time means gender and then evolving a certain amount overall this one took me about 30 minutes to complete but like i said this is the easiest one let's take a look at star raptor [Music] yeah there you go after completing those three and grabbing a few shinies i knew that i really wanted to see how far i could take this challenge so i decided the next day to see how much i could get done the main goal for this day was to only perfect one pokemon which is usually the first one that everyone completes arceus the only requirement for this pokemon is just obtain a piece of it after defeating it in battle but honestly this is the hardest pokemon to perfect in the entire game solely based on the fact that you need to catch every single other pokemon in the entire decks in order to get it although there really isn't any other pokemon that requires the same amount of work to finish there are still plenty of extremely tedious ones that will need to be taken care of as we go along on the next day i told my chat the plan of perfecting the entire dax and to be honest i didn't really have any rhyme or reason as to how i was going to tackle it i kind of figured that i would just start with the easier ones first but i was also open to the idea of letting my chat pick whatever one i should go for next one big thing i end up learning today is definitely my first big tip in this game i found out that if you evolve a pokemon that has multiple evolutions it will count the evolution for the pokemon that you evolve count another task for obtaining another form of the evolution as well as count an evolution for the next stage i showed off that i only had evolve one rowlet however i had two evolutions for dartrix as accounted for the rowlet evolution as well as the evolution into decidueye when i was filling out the pokedex to get arceus now i'm 99 sure this is just a bug but to this day it's still not patched so i'm assuming that they just don't know about this but this means that for a lot of the decks you can finish evolutions in half the time that you're intended to i started working on common pokemon like badoof and the barrel and i showed off another trick that definitely helps with almost all of the early game pokemon another big research task category that has to be completed are based around move requirements like use this move 20 times use a ground type move on a pokemon 10 times and especially making the pokemon use a certain amount of strong or agile style moves while a lot of these can be really tedious a big upside is that aside from defeating certain pokemon with moves if a wild pokemon uses the move or style inside or outside of battle it will register in your pokedex with this in mind i was able to get pokemon like baberal done extremely fast because the wild barrel knew moves like bite and aqua tail which are required things to complete the only downside is you really can't guarantee that the pokemon will use the move but considering that those two moves are half of its moveset the chances are pretty solid now this trick is really only beneficial early on due the fact that it's pretty easy to out level a lot of the pokemon in the first two areas and they're also typically more abundant than the others in the decks a lot of pokemon in areas like the alabaster icelands also don't have all the moves that you need but this is definitely a really solid early game trick to speed up this entire process after perfecting badoof baberyl and starravia i decided to let my chat take the wheel on a few decisions and we ended up jumping all the way to the mirelands to take on our beloved terry the tangela in comparison to the others this was a lot more difficult because of how less frequent it is to see this pokemon but it was also the first time i had to defeat a pokemon with a certain move now in my opinion it's really nice to have a set list of pokemon in your pasture that cover a bunch of different move typings but the best pokemon to take by far is arceus because jasmine's typing is tied to whatever plate you attach to it you can take care of these tasks without ever having to go back to your pasture to swap pokemon there are a few downsides however like the fact that the move only has 5 power points but you can also just carry around a bunch of leopard berries and never have to worry if you're extremely good at multitasking you can combine more challenges with this one like for example have infernape using agile style flare blitz on tangla to knock out one entry for the agile style using flare blitz defeating tangala and defeating tangola with a fire type move in my opinion though this is an extremely difficult thing to keep track of concerning that these two entries are on completely opposite sides of the pokedex and i just can't mentally keep track of that many things at once if you can manage that though you'll get this decks done much faster than i did one of the other things that needs to be completed for tangela is feeding them this is pretty simple as we had to throw in a berry for it to eat and we have to do that total of five times which is definitely light work compared to the infamously more rotund members of the pokedex it's obviously best to do this in a large group if possible and i noticed that if you throw them either too close or directly at the pokemon they'll be much less likely to eat it so don't be shy to make them burn a few calories on the way to their meal after perfecting tangle and my chat kept ranting about the most difficult pokemon to perfect in the entire game magikarp for some reason you had to let magikarp use splash a hundred times so i just went to the coronet highlands and found a group of them to splash against this took all of like five minutes to complete because it's the only move they can use so it really wasn't even that tedious but it definitely was boring i did my best to make it look as entertaining as possible after completing that one task i decided that from now on i'd just go in pokedex order aside from a few special entries just so i had a better idea of how much more of the pokedex i needed to complete for the following days off stream i started working on some more entries and for the most part they weren't really that bad except for one still goon now you're probably thinking how in the world could this little bug or be any trouble and even when i give you the reason it really doesn't sound that bad so for this pokemon you need to catch 15 of them 20 of them during daylight hours defeat 25 of them and 10 of those with flying type moves now obviously you can combine half of those to expedite the process but the real issue is how many are available in the overworld across the field lens there are a total of 10 potential spawns with about a 40 encounter rate this means that based on those percentages you essentially have to reload the map roughly nine times in order to see all the spawns considering that three on the complete opposite side of the map you really only have seven opportunities now you're probably going to point out that i should have waited for an outbreak and you're absolutely right that would have gotten taken care of much faster but realistically the odds of a still outbreak appearing when there are like 50 other pokemon in the outbreak rotation seems like a long wait if i'm adamant about working on this index order there is one thing that makes pokemon like these significantly easier now but we'll get to that a bit later as you can probably assume cascoon is also the same issue except his account rate is 20 instead of 40 at the start of the stream i was able to perfect all the way up to beautyfly which means i took care of the first few entries with absurd amount of requirements like star raptor and luxray a majority of this day was spent doing mass outbreaks to see how good my shiny odds were but i still took a bit of time to perfect up to rapidash ravidash is the start of what i like to call the alpha entries these are basically pokemon that are almost entirely only available through alpha spawns which usually means there's only one or two guaranteed spawns every time you load up the map as you've probably seen considering this is like the first alpha you counter the entire game there's only one available in the entire game aside from the really rare mass outbreak that can happen nearby although catching alphas isn't too difficult once you get a strong enough team the big issue is the amount you have to catch and defeat so the first big thing that you have to do is catch three alphas not too difficult just a little annoying that you have to leave the area three times unless you want to wait the 15-ish minutes that it takes for them to respawn the real tedious aspect is that you also have to catch 10 of them now you're probably thinking well you said earlier that the evolutions into a pokemon count as being caught so why don't you just evolve seven ponyta and while that's totally possible ponyta evolves at level 42 and the highest level you can catch them in the wild is level six even if you grind out levels for five at once realistically it's much faster just to catch the seven rapidash but either way it takes a lot of work to collect that many once again this is the thing that got improved over the course of the game's release so we'll just address that later at the end of the day i was able to complete that as well as perfect a total of 17 pokemon i just wanna know that you can probably tell by now i'm not gonna individually address each and every pokemon the pokedex and go over how easy or difficult they are and that's to avoid from you dying of boredom a lot of these pokemon are extremely similar but there are a lot of things we still haven't covered if you are interested in a full breakdown you can either check your pokedex or the link in the description that contains an entire list of all the research tasks if you really want to know them all at the start of this day stream i didn't work on any entries at all as i promised my chat that i wouldn't end the stream until i found 10 shinies in one day although i didn't make any specific progress i caught nearly every pokemon from every outbreak that i visited which means that i knocked out an absurd amount of entries for probably 50 different pokemon in the decks you've probably noticed that i haven't really mentioned any shinies in the video and that's mostly because i plan on making another video about that so i'd hold you over in the meantime here's a very fast compilation of me giving mediocre reactions to every shiny i got on this day [Music] there we go number one i should save cause i'm gonna get shiny right now [Music] i know that kinda looks a little suspicious [Music] all right let's check and see if there's a shiny here oh my god there's a shiny here chad they're all over here oh wait is that shiny it is there it is i got another shiny baby [Music] hello little friend [Music] oh my god that thing is another amazing comey come on no [Music] oh my god what's going on i'm legit cheating give me another add to the content [Music] before the next stream i decided to take on what is easily the first test of patience in the entire game the eeveelutions now to start off evie is a little difficult in its own right you have to catch 25 of them and just like most pokemon games eevee is a low percentage spawn typically around 15 percent there are a few locations where you can grab them but realistically it's just best to wait for outbreaks and thankfully because i knew this part was going to be kind of tough i went out of my way to catch every outbreak that i saw up until this point the real issue are its evolutions in total there are eight evolutions you have to perfect and i guess an upside is that they all have the same requirements the downside is that you'll hate yourself after looking at what you have to do so each evolution only has four categories the first one is obtaining five of each of them which aside from vaporeon jolteon and flareon are relatively easy to complete the main issue is that grinding evolution stones is pretty annoying considering that you can either find them as drops in space-time dimensions or exchanging them from merit points both of which can take a really long time now let's talk about the actual tedious part the moves for some reason you have to attack with their signature move 40 times but you also attack with an agile style move 70 times the amount of people that came to my chat telling me they gave up at this point from being burnt out is more than it should be so let me break down the best way possible through these pokemon as well as other pokemon like this the first thing you should do is get attacking moves out of the way for jolteon i'd do 40 agile style thunderbolts so i just ran around the map destroying everything in sight to avoid having to heal both hp and pp i highly suggest fighting lower level pokemon as well as filling up your team with as many of the pokemon you're grinding as possible this avoids overusing items and wasting money as well as cutting down healing time after completing 40 of these you still need to complete another 30 agile style moves because you also have to use babydoll eyes 15 times for each of them we're going to visit a specific pokemon to help us out magikarp because magikarp only knows splash we can just spam babydoll eyes forever until we've completed the remaining 30 and even if we had to do more than that and magikarp struggle to death there's another four in this pawn that we can grind off of before they respawn again this is easily one of the biggest chi codes in this challenge as there are probably a hundred pokemon that require to use a specific non-damaging move so we'll be coming back here a lot to rip through all of these and you can obviously do this trick on really any pokemon it's just that the main benefit of this is that magikarp can't deal any damage until it uses struggle when it came time to stream that day i decided that since my chat really liked the last stream i spent this entire stream going for research rank 10 so i can unlock the shiny charm the charm won't exactly help with my ability to finish the challenge but i figured that since my streams are mostly just a grinding mask it'd make it a little bit more entertaining if i had the potential to get a lot of shinies each stream as i progressed on top of this i spent a little bit of time trying to farm space-time distortions as there are a bunch of exclusive pokemon that are only obtainable through them and some of them have a lot to complete at the time there wasn't really any information as to how exactly these worked so this didn't go exactly as planned but thankfully they're a lot easier to manage now so essentially when you load into an area there's an invisible timer that starts counting anytime you open a menu get into a battle or do basically anything that isn't you just standing in the overworld the timer will pause after five minutes pass the game will roll for a chance of a distortion to appear starting at twenty percent if you've beat the game after another five minutes thirty percent five more fifty percent at twenty five total minutes you'll have a seventy five percent chance of one spawning and finally after forty minutes you have a hundred percent chance of one appearing on the map if you leave the area rest to advance time or enter a cave this timer will reset so it's important just to let the game's day night cycle advance normally after streaming for about 8 hours i reached research rank 10 on the entire dax well except for one the last pokemon that need to be perfected is unknown which i avoided intentionally because the fact that it's one of the very few pokemon you need to perfect that requires a giant quest line all around the region you can find all 28 unknown and inside your pokedex are a bunch of clues as to where each one is hidden although i could have looked up a guide to get this done faster i really just wanted to experience this with my chat so it took about two hours to complete this for the next few days i was really able to knock out a ton of the pokedex through a lot of off-screen grinding but also at this point i decided to pretty much stop shiny hunting to focus on getting this challenge done as fast as possible one notable task i had to take on was for zubat for some reason you had to catch 20 of them during daylight hours which is an issue because you can only catch them at night i think the intention is that you were supposed to go with the wayward cave and catch them there but only like two spawn at a time the best way to do this is just wait for an outbreak and change the time today and you'll pretty much get all of them done in one go to my memory this is the only pokemon that has a task where you have to catch them at the wrong time of day and although this task works correctly something makes me feel like they messed up on this entry and they just never noticed while i was grinding qriketoon off stream i managed to get three distortions which allowed me to perfect the entire syndical line which was super easy considering i completed every task for the starters ahead of time aside from catching five of each of them i also was able to catch quite a few porygon because they also spawn the marlins distortions but unfortunately required to find three large specimens in order to perfect it so we'll come back later to take care of that i also was able to fire a few magnamite from distortions while i was working on perfecting floatzole which now makes it the best time to talk about how annoying this one is as i mentioned before you had to collect five of each of the distortion pokemon either evolving into them or catching them outright except for this one for some reason you have to catch 15 magnemite but on top of that you also have to defeat another 15. because you're only guaranteed three of these exclusive pokemon per spawn you're looking at waiting for a minimum of 10 distortions and considering that magmite is only a 60 spawn there's a pretty low chance you'll get it done in that many on top of that you also have to catch seven light specimens so needless to say we're going to be working on that as we go through the dax and pray that i don't have to do a ton more once i get to its entry the next stream was almost entirely focused on shaking spots for a bunch of pokemon as you make your way around the map there's a solid chance you'll find a shaking tree rock or box that contains a pokemon graveler for example is really easy because nearly every shaking or the canadian's graveler in the highlands only has that one pokemon whereas some pokemon that we'll talk about later have a much much lower chance at the end of the day i started working on stantler which is also the start of weird new historian evolutions in the game as you probably know there are a few new pokemon that evolve through really strange methods like stantler for example evolves after using agile style sideshield bash 20 times while doing this for one pokemon isn't really a problem for stantler masculine and quillfish you need to get five of their evolutions which is an enormous pain to complete thankfully i got a lot of cool shinies during this stream so a lot of tediousness was covered by that over the course of the next week i didn't really experience many new pokemon that posted a unique challenge and that's mostly because the first quarter of the dax contains the most strange challenges some notable things i had to do though was feed snorlax 50 times which is really boring because there are only two locations where they spawn and i finally started working on starter pokemon that you don't get at the beginning of the game like chimchar the only real issue with these is yet to feed the mid-stage starters and the only way you can find them is through a four percent spawn in like two locations on each map thankfully i got pretty lucky in finding all these throughout the challenge but just locating one can take up to 30 minutes of play time at this time i would like to nominate ride shoe to be potentially the number one most annoying pokemon in the entire game not only to catch 10 of them like every other alpha pokemon you have to use a lot of moves although you only have to do 15 agile style moves you had to land 40 iron tails and 70 thunders 70. the most annoying part is that in addition to having only five powerpoints per move now they both have 70 accuracy which might as well be 5 the only trick i can say to make this easier is about during a thunderstorm but in my defense i didn't know that mechanic was in the game which is really dumb of me but what can you do i ended up getting into perfecting combi and vespa quinn who were both annoying in their own right konbi is super tedious because you had to find 40 of them through the shaking trees and vespiquen needs seven heavy specimen and it has like a spawn rate of one percent in the wild so you're basically forced just to catch the static one in the mirelens because any alpha is considered a heavy and large specimen although combi are really common this took me way longer than should have and i think that's mostly because it's really hard to see every single shaking tree on the map i didn't think i'd ever say this in my entire life but i really wish the berry trees looked like the ones in sword and shield i ended up finding route in the marlins that let me fly over basically every tree that they could be in so i definitely did this in the most optimal way possible on day 17 i basically just stood in place the entire day until space-time distortions appeared in the icelands because cesar needs to be defeated by fire type moves i just had to wait for those because they're partially exclusive to these on the upside i was able to also perfect the entire oshawa line and on top of that i was able to turn all the waiting footage into one of those sky time lapses that's at the beginning of every youtube vlog from 2015. [Music] after taking care of that i had to work on apom who was easily one of the most annoying pokemon in the entire challenge now if you look at its requirements you'd probably disagree but apom needs 15 shaking tree encounters to be perfected which is totally reasonable until you find out the apom only appears in two trees in the entire game on the upside it is a 100 chance but these two trees in the coastlands are the only opportunities you have and overwhelm majority of the time neither one's going to shake which requires you to leave and then re-enter the area this took me about three hours to complete and unfortunately in my opinion this is still not the worst shaking tree pokemon at the start of the next stream i managed to perfect blissey which meant that i was finally done with the entirety of the pokemon that inhabited the obsidian field lens don't worry that's nearly half the pokedex i know i made it sound like it was 20 done with the challenge but we're almost there at this point i was completing like 10 entries a day which may not seem like a lot but each one takes minimum 45 minutes to do so from here on out i was streaming about 8 to 10 hours a day grinding out the dax because we're now talking about my streams this is my opportunity to ask respectfully for you to link your amazon prime account to your twitch account and use your free prime gaming sub on me watch i'll use mine on this streamer i'm out of here oh my god jon stone hello thank you so much for the sub i really appreciate it look how happy it is now it's your turn the next stream i decided to skip ahead of the list and perfect spirit tomb in the event that i would find a shiny one because there's no way that pokemon become more common in the future and after that i worked on liligan this one in particular is a little frustrating because you need to get five sunstones to evolve pedolil and the oil location these are available is through the ursulina digging spots but thankfully i was able to get all i needed in only an hour spending the next week i really decided to kick my grinding skills into overdrive because 21 days of streams in i'd finally reached the halfway mark through the decks i know that's not very good but i'm i'm trying one thing that i'm very confident in saying is that the first quarter of the decks is a complete nightmare and realistically i've already completed the extremely difficult part of the challenge for the most part the rest of the dax is just generic pokemon that need to be caught and need to use a move or style a specific amount of times so i was able to get a majority of the entries done really fast the first big thing they had to go back to was ursaluna item hunting for well ursa luna the pepelock is the rarest item that can be obtained through this ride pokemon and once again we're going to need five ursulina to perfect its entry this is pretty infamously known for being one of the hardest items to get in the entire game because the drop rate percentage is probably around one to five percent but with my severe hacking abilities i was able to farm up four in just an hour in exchange for that luck i had to go through the pachari suit gauntlet so this pokemon is one of the last shaking tree pokemon that i had to perfect and for once i don't have some insane reasoning as to why it took so long to complete you had to find 25 of them which is a little annoying but in turn nearly every single tree in the marlins has a 15 to 25 chance of one spawning much i can attest to my luck was just garbage to just complete the tree section of perfecting pacharisu it took over four hours i want to rank this one as one of the most annoying pokemon on the deck super fact but i can almost guarantee that you'll have a much easier time than i did so let's just move on on a side note the most annoying thing in the game isn't even related to the challenge it's this i don't want to walk okay well you know what i'm just gonna walk down for some reason my game crashed minimum once a stream and even to this day i still have this issue i've never had any other switch game have a problem as bad as this one but after this incident i have kept autosave on permanently to avoid getting set back every single stream on the upside i did reach a big milestone at this point in the challenge all right we've done it we have done it i have a successfully reached 100 000 points here we go [Music] that's not fair that's not fair i wanted six digits but i got capped i also like to know at this point that a lot of new people started watching my streams for some reason and the most common question that i would get was what do you get when you perfect every pokemon because we were all very confident there was no reward because i got the shiny charmer rank 10 for everything we just made something up what do you get when you complete the dax um basically once you complete you go to lavinton and then you can go to syndra ruins and get shiny rcs for the remainder of this challenge my chat would just talk about how badly they couldn't wait to get shiny arceus anytime somebody asked and to make me feel better let's just say that's the reward from now on we're so close guys baby steps away from the shinjo ruins later in the week i had to take care of some weird one-off things like finding the only togotek in the wild in the same fashion as monferno feeding lickitung 50 times and made my way into the coastline entries for the most part these were super straightforward so i didn't really have any spiciness to add to my streams but thankfully the game knew when to fill in for the downtime i'll fly over the rem raids i'll show you we'll get a shiny from that don't worry i can drop off the side of the cliff and there's five there fly over the water there's another six ride the coast for another six and then 10 in a giant pool there's another six spawn did you see any of them because i didn't and we hug coastline here there's six here and as i told you pretty good chance of you getting a shiny now let's talk about baby pokemon for all the johto baby pokemon you have to catch one while it's sleeping in the wild is there a way to guarantee this no so all we have to do is wait i guess we'll just come back to this later the final big thing to note is basket legion this one requires you to get five of them through baskin recoil damage which didn't take too long but it was a little bit tedious because i needed to make sure that my pokemon weren't getting knocked out or else the damage counter would reset over the week i managed to complete 70 entries to get a total of 169 pokemon nice you know what i'm gonna say it although a lot of the final evolution-based pokemon and distortion exclusives are extremely tedious to complete i'm proud that i took the time to complete them are mostly pokemon like basket legion useless because you can't find them in the wild absolutely but since i know a majority of people haven't and won't take the time to complete them it makes me feel you know a little bit special it's just nice to know that [Music] so on pokemon day game freak revealed there's a new update to the game called daybreak which released literally an hour after the pokemon presents ended although i was worried they were adding another 50 pokemon in the dax to extend this challenge by another two weeks this update actually only helped me in this challenge with this update you have to investigate a new mechanic called the massive mass outbreaks which allows you to visit up to 15 outbreaks in one area rather than only one at a time as a result it's now significantly easier to find a specific pokemon that you're looking for if you need to catch or defeat multiple amounts of them but that's not even the best part on top of this these outbreaks also have the chance to spawn another wave after with stronger enemies which either gives you the alpha variance of that pokemon or their evolutions this means that for the first time ever many pokemon that were never available in the wild can now be caught things like sneezler basket legion ursuluna cleaver liligan raichu and basically any other annoying evolution pokemon you can think of can now just be caught in the open am i salty a little considering i'm nearly done with the entire challenge but on the upside i can hunt the hassourian starters a little bit easier because they added those two this means that basically all the little annoyances like finding the bug balls feeding mid-stage starters and catching a certain amount of alphas are basically non-existent and can be taken care of in only a few map resets the only thing that was severely missed in this was the lack of eevee and the rest of the distortion pokemon like magnemite but because of that i'm pretty firm they're going to add another update soon where instead of outbreaks there'll just be a bunch of distortions on the map to make it easier to perfect those in addition they added marks for completing the path of solitude for each pokemon in the dax and i know they're going to be comments like oh well he didn't actually perfect the decks because he needs to get the mark and shiny for every pokemon he ha my brother in christ i would like to go outside at some point this month for the next couple of days i really took advantage of this new mechanic as i was able to finish the entirety of the coastlines through firing pokemon like fineon lumineon and tentacool through the outbreaks magby coincidentally could also spawn the coastlines so you know what i had to do oh it's time to go to bed chat you look so tired you look so tired oh chad i'm gonna go to the bathroom just watch them for me okay just watch them please you guys promise to watch them make sure they they're they're good they don't leave okay oh oh it's sleeping they're are they both sleeping well i'm done with that now i don't i don't want to do that ever again i also finally managed to finish the entire magnamite line but i also found this weird bug so apparently if you visit a distortion when it's active and fast travel to any location it will remove and cancel any of the three guaranteed special spawns for that distortion i highly doubt this was an intended feature but it's extremely annoying especially when magnamide takes as long as it already does thankfully i was able to get another one quickly to finish that line for the day at this point i've reached the highlands with 188 pokemon perfected in my decks but believe it or not we're a lot closer than it looks to being done with the challenge to start the area the most infamous pokemon the entire decks had to be completed garchomp so the main complaint that most people have with this pokemon is the fact that you need to complete 100 strong style moves which i will admit is pretty insane but to be fair you have to use 80 total moves anyways with the other research tasks that it has so if you're multitasking and doing a bunch at the same time it's really not that awful also considering that you had to catch a bunch of alphas i think i only healed once this entire process the funny part about this whole day is that this stupid rock took longer than the guard chomp because i had to get 15 to leap out of ore deposits once again this was just bad luck but it took nearly twice as long to do electro was also on the list of tough pokemon up until this point i'd heard from someone in my chat at least 10 times a day for the past two weeks about how absurdly difficult this pokemon was and to this day i really don't understand why electrode is a little annoying because you have to attack with recoil damaging moves that take out like half of its health but if you have a full team of them it's really not that big of a problem and i only had to heal like six times i think it's really just a big confusion because people see exploding move and assume that you have to go revive your pokemon every time they use the move but in actuality in this game they made it so any move-like explosion now just deals a lot of recoil damage it's definitely still a tedious process don't get me wrong but this took me maybe an hour to perfect so in comparison to a lot of pokemon it wasn't all that bad i also had to perfect rotom today in general this is a really easy pokemon to complete however you do need to obtain all of its forms you can only do that by purchasing the items through the ginkgo guild but thankfully i had long prepared and purchased them all already i will say that it cost a whopping 300 thousand dollars to purchase everything but since you can get 50k a battle from the misfortune sisters that really shouldn't be an issue for anyone on the next stream i managed to finish up shieldon and krantos lines to complete every distortion exclusive pokemon as well as all the pokemon in the highlands i actually took care of this the day before because i knew that waiting for distortions to be on stream were going to be super annoying but aside from dealing with ramparts recoil damage they were really easy to complete before the game's maps completed it was time to go to the icelands this as well as the highlands has only like 20 pokemon each so there really aren't that many notable pokemon to cover that actually took a lot of effort to complete burgmite was a little annoying because he had to find those in ore deposits and those are nearly impossible to spot in the sky in the snow but thankfully this is the last shaking spot pokemon the entire game so it was very hard for me to complain on day 33 i was officially seeing the end of the challenge the hardest two that were left to complete were zoroark and lucario zorak is a little annoying because he had to catch and defeat 10 of them but thankfully with the massive mass outbreaks i was able to get this taken care of in only two outbreaks so i cannot vouch any harder this is the best method to really make a fat dent in your pokedex lucario was not only the last alpha pokemon to perfect but it was also pretty much the last hard pokemon in the challenge just like a lot of the others i'd use 70 strong style moves but at this point i did down to a science so it only took like an hour and a half to complete believe it or not but at this point i perfected nearly every pokemon in the pokedex the remaining entries are just the mythicals and the legendaries which means that every pokemon that is encounterable in the wild now is perfected in my decks which is probably the most insane feeling of relief that i've ever felt in the video game because it really didn't take too long to do the non-special pokemon for the day i let my chat vote for which legendary i'd start first yeah so my chat humbled me real quick by choosing the worst legendary in the entire game to perfect for some reason you have to use self-destruct 40 times for as elf but thankfully this move doesn't knock you out so i just healed after every single time that i took damage and i was able to get this done relatively fast out of all the remaining pokemon the lake spirits take the most work considering you get to do 40 strong and 70 agile style moves at respecting azelf i ended the stream and i was pretty confident that i finished the rest of the dax in the next day but just to be sure my stream wasn't going to be 32 hours long i grinded out the rest of the lake spirits and finished each in like an hour just to test a little bit further i also worked on heatran and finished that in about 30 minutes so with 229 pokemon perfected at this point i knew that tomorrow i'd see the end of the challenge on the last day of the challenge i had 13 pokemon left to perfect and to be honest with you i really don't have much to say out of all the pokemon the pokedex the legendaries and mythicals might be the easiest ones to perfect and that's completely because you can only catch one of each aside from fiona so any requirements of catching certain heights or weights feeding stealth catches flying encounters alphas all of that is non-existent all you have to do is just grind out a few moves and work on agile or strong style moves which total the 65 for each but once again there are enough moves that you have to do that will take up all the work anyways in total each pokemon took me about 30 minutes to complete with the exception of a few like recelia because i need to use healing moves and fione because it took like 10 minutes because i only needed to use 25 strong style moves to complete i really wish i did have more to say about this but the entire stream was just me running around the field lens ruining the population of every pokemon that unfortunately passed my sights hopefully though this final part of the challenge captured how much it meant to me to finish this who's the final target chat i've got one more after this starly who is going down last do i dare take on monkey i just might bring it on one more move yeah so i forgot it was a i kind of forgot it was a dark type okay hold on hold on hold on the final move we did it [Music] you after completing every entry my chat knew what i needed to do it was time to get our shiny arceus let's go talk to lavinton now that my dex is perfected let's find out with this beautiful beautiful array of pokemon you gotta get a banger reward you know i expect great things of you carry on the good fight out there all right wait one second oh it's like it's gonna be gonna be a mistake right it's gonna be just a mix-up well i know i just maybe maybe you talked to cylene he just stopped slightly and silenced guys he's like hey hey you reached the highest possible rank yeah yeah that was like a month ago but yeah you forgot i just i just did i thought dex is done baby so i'm starting to think there's no shiny arse use from the game let's check the map the maps god have it it's gotta be over here it's in the next dlc for sure now although it is unfortunately you don't get anything for completing basically the entire game and doing everything the galactic team has ever dreamed of on the upside now that i've perfected the pokedex every pokemon that i see will have a minimum of a 1 out of 585 chance of being shiny so if the 150 shines they obtained during this point weren't enough this will definitely fix that issue who knows maybe i'll make a video getting every shiny pokemon so yeah that's pretty much the whole challenge but yeah the challenge i finished with around 320 hours of playtime but i think it's fair to say about 40 of those hours are spent shiny hunting on stream but the other 280 hours were almost exclusively spent beating the game and perfecting the pokedex which is a lot of time in total i completed 7093 research tasks and although the game capture points i earned 125 000 points plus maybe another 100 for perfecting arceus we don't really know i know a lot of you been asking for some sort of guy for this challenge but in all honesty this video is the guide the best advice i can get for you if you want to do this challenge is don't if you don't want to listen the best advice i can give you is to spend like three to four days just farming massive mass outbreaks after you beat the game every time you approach an outbreak quickly check and see what you have to do for the entire line if you're constantly thinking about how to optimize your decks with every catch you'll get this done a lot faster than i did despite this taking over a month to complete i actually had a lot of fun with this challenge and believe it or not i'm not done with this game at all i know you're probably going to think i'm lying because i don't upload too much but i have easily another 10 videos lined up for this game and nearly every single challenge will be streamed in my twitch channel so if you're not following my streams it's easily the best way to see the most content that i make as always be sure to leave a like and subscribe for more videos as i should have another one out really really soon be sure to follow my twitter for updates and stupid tweets as i've been tweeting about my big video that should also be coming out relatively soon other than that like thank you all for watching and i'll catch you on the next one
