Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
So simple but so fun! I particularly love those moments when no players can see any 'matches' and decide that there's a problem with the cards and not them... until 2 minutes later.... the matching image is spotted! haha!
This is absolutely the question I’ve wanted answered!!!
Saw this teased on Steve Mould's channel and was so excited for it, didn't realize it would be out so soon!
Matt has a bunch of really great games adjacent videos on his channel, and there are a bunch of other good games adjacent videos on the Numberphile channel he appears a lot on. There's a Dice playlist along with a Shuffling playlist all on those topics.
Neat one about the game of Dr. Nim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KABcmczPdg
Him and Steve also have a store with some neat game adjacent stuff, especially interesting versions of dice: https://mathsgear.co.uk/collections/dice
TIL in order to play Dobble I have to invite negative seven people over.
There's a similar trick in Sidereal Confluence. There are seven resources, and each species primarily consumes three of them, but every pair of species will have exactly one required resource in common.
This means that some resources will be in more demand than others in any given game, but each species is facing roughly equal competition for the stuff they need.
(There's also a species that consumes everything equally, and a species that doesn't care about colours and will take whatever trash others don't want.)
God I love spot it. So much fun. Such a simple premise.
While the math was a bit over my head this was fascinating to watch. I watched the whole thing!
Second video I've seen by this channel this week and they were both really good.
Smiley house. I’m crying! I didn’t expect to laugh so hard my stomach hurts!
