is a good spy I praise His name God is a good God that will never change he's a good guy that's why I praises me let's chase a man sometimes you just got to praise your way through some stuff and Joe thank you thank you for the way you lead us in praise thank you for putting your heart into what you do I really appreciate that it's good to be in the house of the Lord once again and to see the Figueroa family I know we look thin but we're not the pews are full amen because you are filling them and then sometimes you don't need a whole lot of folk to praise the Lord you just need some good folk they need to praise them and I just thank God for you you know that most some of our women over at the ucw and of course we have our youth worship but I've never bothered by numbers if the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are here we can have Church as a matter of fact we are the church we are the body of Christ and every time we get together we just ought to give God praise amen now listen it's been a challenging time for the figural family I am aware of that we have been coming through some things here the last couple of weeks and of course it won't in and I've often said sometimes it's not what you go through but it's how you go through it and I want to commend the figure or family you you're not a novice in going through life's challenges you've been here before and yet you remain and I am sensitive to where we are I've been giving some careful thought and consideration about what to say today and so if I deviate from the norm please bear with me in 2014 you lost brother Bauer's 2015 you lost Brotherhood as a matter of fact we're coming up on his one-year anniversary of having departed this life I never want to minimize the loss of ministerial staff I am a minister none of us will live forever we are simply small pieces to a larger spirit to mosaic being put together by the hand of God and I think we need to always remember in honor the law servants who have gone before us and so in just a few seconds I'm going to ask that you would pause with me for a moment of meditation on behalf of those ministers that have passed on and even we will never forget the great Orion Hogan who is responsible for our existence today as the figural Church of Christ we are grateful and will forever be in debt and then on last week we lost one of our shepherds the person of brother Raymond Griffin who has gone on to be with the Lord we lost a senior mother in the person of Velma car and we won't forget these our brothers and sisters the greatest way to demonstrate our love for them is to remain faithful and to continue to love the body of Christ to make ourselves available to help others as well and then of course you are aware of my assignment this week as well my wife's sister passed we thank you for your condolences the funeral will be on Friday and I've been asked to facilitate that eulogy as well and so pray for me funerals are challenging and I try to guard against being non-responsive during the process but each one is different you eulogizing Griffin really was a great burden for me you get a joy at the same time and then Velma who has been a longtime friend of my mom's and friend of our family and a faithful servant here you never take these moments lightly and then my sister-in-law it was only a few years ago that I utilized her son who passed away with cancer and now her life too has been empty way and so this this is the reality in which we live and I thank you for your prayers and for your encouragement people ask me how do I do it and I just say I'm trusting in Him who does all things well that's all you can do is trust him and so this morning if you don't mind I got a little sermon that it's really for me but I thought I'd share it with you and it comes from the text we've been working from anyway it amazes me even to this day as a minister that that when you're preaching through a particular text God allows circumstances to help that text come alive and I don't think it's an accident I don't think it's a coincident that when you're in the word God uses that word to minister to you quite often I'm preparing messages for you but a good student of the word never never prepares a meal for others without first eating himself so God has been feeding me and I want to entitle this little sermon that how do I get through when I'm going through how do I get through when I'm going through you may or may not be going through something but I believe that there is no one who is not going through something and sometimes it's not what you go through but it's how you go through it and when we go through different challenges we're not the same person we all respond differently historically I have been more reactive than proactive but I'm learning to be more proactive more calculated as best I can but when you go through your affected first of all psychologically you affect it emotionally you affect it physically and it does have a spiritual toll as well but in the midst of going through there are some things that go on that we have to work through amen is anybody going through something and and am i long am I alone is anybody with me do you do you understand what I'm talking about somebody says it's really gonna be a short sermon he's coming down now well well well don't no no don't rush it don't rush it we will get through but we got to go through is that right the book of Nehemiah and God has called upon us and I they're not by accident I see what he's doing the part of the repairing and rebuilding process involves assessment we've been talking about that it involves accepting the reality of where you are but then thirdly we have to adapt a strategy for getting through when you're going through not all of us handle life's crises the same way and you know why because we're not all the same we're different you're different from me I'm different from you and it can be the same crisis and yet we respond differently and I just want to share with you a little formula that I've been using over the years that allows me to get through what I'm going through and there are times when I'm going through that there are we I'm not always successful in following everything that I'm going to share with you but I am aware of it and the Bible is full of people who've been going through stuff are you familiar with the Bible I mean you cannot read it without all of your children with one life to live as the world go right say it man somebody semester that sound like my sitcoms exactly I'm a porn I did that so I can draw you in now that I have your undivided attention let me share with you all through Scripture human beings have been experiencing challenges even Adam and Eve had to go through what they went through and everybody that follows we're dealing with something one man's crisis may not be yours but your crisis is yours and you ever wonder how you're gonna get through sometimes sometimes life kind of lightens up a little bit and you float along and boy you just before you can exhale here come another storm and then it creates a level of anxiety where you afraid to even exhale because you're fearful of the next storm life is about a storm we've got to learn to inhale and exhale on a spiritual level now Maya kind of understood that mind you he's in captivity get snooze while in captivity while in the capital city in Babylon called Susa there as they cut bare for king of artaxerxes he gets some news from his brothers remember two weeks ago when bad news comes yeah remember that how do you respond first for says when he got the news he he's just sat down and he he mourned you know if he was from Texas that would have said he moaned you ever had to moan through your pain you know anything about that about those internal sighs and hurts and the one do we have the Holy Spirit that can take those inner groanings and presenting to the Father and he'll bless us through his word Nehemiah is mourning he's weeping he's praying he can't eat and he sets down and he fasts and maybe this evening we'll talk about when you pray what to do when you pray how you prayed through your pain we'll talk about that at 5:00 if the Lord says the same but there are three things I see in this text I've learned from Nehemiah that I want to share with you that's been there for years but I needed to lift it up out of the text to help me when you're going through what you're going through there are three things you need to do first be it go to Psalms 37 verse number seven and then number two be steal Psalms 46:10 and then thirdly be sober and vigilant first Peter chapter four and verse eight and nine we'll talk about that in a minute because usually when you're in crisis Satan comes we'll get then talk about that and I want to share with you what it does when you're in crisis okay but the first things first what do I do when I'm going through the first thing I'm going to suggest from this text especially what Nehemiah does is that you have to learn to be quiet now in Psalms 37 and verse 7 is interesting the Bible says be what be quiet one virgin says rest well in the Lord one version says be quiet before the Lord and wait on him it's interesting because the word for quiet there the word for rests there is a verb the word for steel in psalms forty six verse 10 is another verb and then in 1st Peter chapter 4 the the the the the statement be sober there's another verb so you got three verbs and those of you like me if you know something about the English language you know that verbs are words of what action and so when you're going through you have to take action but you got to understand what kind of action to take you can't be proactive can't be reactive you need to be proactive but if you like me we have a tendency to be what reactive and usually in the reactive mode you draw wrong conclusions like why is this happening to me what have I done that and is God after me that's why it's important to be it to rest and the Hebrew word there really means to be silent to hush let me explain the idea here is to quiet it self in terms of spirit and messages that will come to you from the evil one we'll talk about that later but usually when we go through crises we get antsy we get jittery we won't answers but the text is suggesting that we need to be what quiet and and and to be and to find rest before the Lord I want you to understand this now that's the difficult thing to do when we live in a noisy world see Satan's objective is to keep your mind cluttered when you got a credit line through crisis you draw wrong conclusions let me say that again when you have a credit line through crisis you draw wrong conclusions and then sometimes you say the wrong things and you do the wrong things because you are emotionally poured into your crisis now I'm not advocating that you cannot be emotionally drawn in but listen you got to understand what's happening to you because it's easier to start blaming me just start pointing the finger or if you will playing Monday Morning Quarterback about what you should have could have would have done we're good at that everybody crisis is not to say my crisis is not your crisis I can't referee yours and you can't referee me refer me mine but I know there's a referee and his name is God and the first admonition you see even from Nehemiah the book says when he got news he set out you know what he's doing he's being quiet he's being quiet he's being silent another definition for this word really really means to me to be dumb and that is to have no speech to be so overtaken by the crisis that it renders you guess what it's a learn if you will to be quiet this is not nothing new it's a part of the meditative process and you see it in just a moment because Jesus will instruct his disciples when it comes time to pray he says don't be like the hypocrites Matthew 6 but you find a place find the place where you can sit out work through your crises it makes sense out of it because somewhere along the line God's got a lesson in the crises that you're in you see in his permissive will he allows crisis to come because it's in crisis our faith is defined refined and declared are you with me you learn a lot when I look back over the crisis in my life I've learned a lot about Vincent most of them I've learned how spiritually in prepare unprepared and weak I really was usually men are strong I got this you know when stuff go down I got this and stuff in life listen man you can fix say men and you need to sit down with honey and both of y'all need to cry together she needs to see your human side not your superhuman side that side that's full of fear that side that has bought into the false narrative that I can fix this there are some things you can't fix sometimes God's that into fixing all of our crisis he's into helping you go through that crisis are you with me so learn to be quiet and that is to dismiss what I call the demonic chatter that often comes when you are with others and not by yourself Nehemiah Parkson but we live in a culture where we can't park where we won't Park and Satan loves busy believers who don't have time to be steal and to be quiet and to meditate and hang out with God he like smoke like that which means you won't activate your faith you can't flex your faith because you're too full of human emotion and anxiety so learn and pray God helped me to be quiet to be silent before you so what I can do what so I can hear what the Spirit has to say to the church you know that passes out the Book of Revelations it was allowed to tell the church in Ephesus you know you need to you need to you need to you need to hear what the Spirit has to say to the church and hear me now the Spirit speaks through the word the Spirit does his ministry through the word when you get in the word during your crisis then you can hear the voice of God speak to your pain but it requires effort and look at the emphasis you be quiet they don't be trying to quiet everybody else that when you disturbed you required and some crisis will you you get enough of them they are humble you they'll literally make you pause then if you're not careful God will cause you to look up when you're in mobile and you can't move so point number two not only do you need to be quiet you understand what that means number two you need to be still and those are two different things the word still in this text really means to relax it really suggests what we do in what we call relaxation therapy is to exhale you ever you ever just exhale you gotta try sometimes it's very therapeutic it's interesting I ride horses most of you know that we train our horses from the position of release of pressure the more pressure you put on a horse the more resistant he is but if you keep the pressure on and eventually the horse will stand still there are some signs he'll give you that he's relaxed and one of the things the horse does normally is that here exhale he lets their out of his lungs he'll start licking his lips he'll drop his head and a leg that means that they're relaxed come upon a horse and his ears is up and he's tensed you might get kicked valuable lesson there in life when you're going through stuff and you have high pressure and you have high anxiety you're not gonna function well you're not gonna be proactive you're gonna be reactive somebody say something in your snap at all you don't mean any harm it's just that in that crisis moment you're more emotive driven then you are cognitively driven so the bible says in psalms division 46 and b and verse number 10 the Bible says what be still relaxed exhale now when you exhale you're simply letting out your own anxiety I don't know about you but I have to find places where I can well I can exhale it's interesting because in the process is the process of release it's the kind of emotional and psychological catharsis to get your stuff out you know moments like that sometimes you have to cry one the last time you've cried when the last time you cried my brother we're men don't crack this one does and I'm learning something about my tears they are an emotional release y'all have tried sometimes you ever had a good laugh and you laugh so that your shared tears and you feel good and then you say man I've never felt better in my life and you just laughed crisis will call you to cry and you find out that in those tears there's a release you're tapping to the human side of who you are and it helps you to appreciate the moment God knows what he's doing thank God for tears jesus wept he wept with Mary and Martha some argue that he wept over his friend Lazarus and I believe that but then there's another side to his weeping jesus wept literally for Mary and Martha I think because of their lack of faith because he knew what he can do with laughter it so that wasn't the problem but it just goes to show that when Jesus sees you in pain he partners with you two we but I love I love what Jesus does after the weeping and the welding we've got to get up out of the grave so he says show me where you laid Lazarus the tears are wiped away because of the stillness the ability to exhale and then notice what the text says be still and do what and no and no don't miss that word and no in the Greek that word means to experience sometimes it means the acquisition of knowledge those who believe have knowledge what we have to do is walk in what we know and you know what the Texas say be still relax and let God notice what the text says be still and know what that you got it covered that everything is gonna work out listen now God works things out you and I can't work it out that's why we have so much anxiety so the Texas saying Vincent after you be quiet after you open your heart to hear man I need you to exhale and know that I am what I am God it's interesting that in Psalms 37 and verse 7 when the Bible says rest in the Lord the word for Lord there is Jehovah but in Psalms 46:10 the word for the Lord there is Elohim that's interesting because that word Elohim is found in Genesis 1 verse 1 and expects to the totality of who God is Father Son and Holy Spirit this text is saying Vincent when you're in your crisis relax and know that I am God I am the supreme one what does that mean I'm supreme in power I'm superior my person and I'm poor and I'm superlative in my performance but what the psalmist is saying that you need to know somebody are in Genesis 13 he is Jehovah Jireh in the book of Acts Exodus he is Jehovah Rama God is present he is Jehovah Nissi the banner over us he is jehova shamma the god who is present and he is Jehovah Shalom the god of peace you know what the text is teaching us God's got this I need to know that because I don't know what to do with it but I know God's got it I got with me this is helping me I feel like I want to shout is that all right this is good stuff I need to know that God's got this cuz I ain't got it I don't know how just sit down and Kippur my wife's emotion and my mother loves emotion I don't have answers to fix that's too much work I got to work on Vincent but I do know how I go through what I go through affects them that's why we mourn with those who are we may not mourn like them but we mourn with them that's why our presence when people are hurting is important it's not about your availability it's about God's working in you to be there for them sometimes when people are going through something just be quiet like that just hush where is this coming from because sometimes you don't if you don't know what to say don't say anything just shut down be quiet amen relax know that I am God what do you need to know about God I'm I'm nificent I got all power Amen somebody you put him in the fire put the fire put him on the water you walk on the water put him in the grave you get up out the grave he's got our power not only that he's omnipotent up our ambition he has supreme knowledge he knows what you don't know as a matter of fact there is nothing known that he doesn't know about tell me somebody and there is nothing new that can be learned that he needs to know about so you don't have to tell him what's going on he already knows wouldwould about to do relax and let God work it out and watch this now he works it out by working in you it may that's what Ephesians 3:20 is about now to him he was able we love that passage not to him who was able to do what is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could what ask ah think and notice what he does his work he works in you he works out the power his advance on Erbil 'ti is worked out in you which he calls the church and then wonderful that's what Romans 8 in verse 28 comes in and we know well what do we know we know that all things work together for good all things may not be good but when God isn't working in all things it works out for the good to those who love the Lord and are called according to him / to his purpose so just let him work what are you gonna do you're gonna relax and trust in that make an in a sense be still and know that I am God and look at the rest of this pastors and I will be exalted among the nations God gets his praise in your life when you let him work son you got breed to read the next verse read verse 11 I want to get this and we'll move on look wouldn't you relax and know that he is God he will be exalted among the nations and then your praise will be the God of what the God of what the God of the heavenly hoses would his will he's what he's with us which means God is omnipresent wherever you are he will be there and he just doesn't show up to occupy space God shows up to change the environment he can adjust the variables in history this is good stuff God can do some stuff if he can make the Sun stand still for Israel to win the battle he can bring you through what you're going through he can have me and walk through the Red Sea Oh drag out and not get water anywhere I want to hang out with that God if he can make an axe head float on top of the water get me somebody if he can give a lion's like Joe in the lion's den help me Savannah if he can put three Hebrew brothers in fire and they come on not even smelling like smoke I wanna hang out with that guard so the Bible says do what the God of Jacob notice he is our refuge in the Old Testament when Israel became a nation she had who was called cities of refuge they were places for for criminals to run for those who have committed murder intentionally and unintentionally those who needed security sometimes in life you need a place to run to and that's why we read this morning God is our refuge he's the place for us to run to the Bible says the name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run to it will stuff go down I'm not running from the church I'm headed to the church house help me somebody I'm headed today I'm here to define where you're going to Bible class why the righteous are there when I can't pray I know they can't help me somebody I'm trying to help I'm trying to help me through some stuff here just making any sense he is our refuge and what else does the Bible say he's a refuge and he is also our fortress and then finally finally finally point three first Peter chapter four and verse number eight point one you need to be quiet is that right pointing to you need to relax and know that God's got this within sir myself what am I going to I got something for you to do and he it comes first Peter chapter four and verse I made the Bible says what be what be sober is that right first Peter four is the five first three to five thank you son I was a second to see if you were listening first Peter five and version of the egg be sober stop the word sober they in the Greek comes from a word that means to abstain from wine interesting word use there because this text is not about why so there must be a picture here wine is used to anesthetize pain when used correctly medicinally I think I better say that and then if I would push the text a little bit wine can inebriated motion say man lighten the heart that's in the book of Proverbs and then also if you're not careful too much of it can cause you cognitive impairment so myself one of those big words means it means make you lose your mind and too much of it you'll lose your mind say man somebody so the text is saying be sober and another definition there is to have a clear mind don't be intoxicated listen to me by external stuff when you're going through your crisis being wise amen Lima anything else noisy you know chatter you know a lot of clutter a lot of people in the ear who are not spiritual save me people who don't know the lock Carter - folk you have to be sober clear-headed you have to have the ability to think through and that's where being quiet comes in it allows you to process and if you'd be quiet low enough God will speak to you play because he understands he knows what you're going through the question is do you know what you're going through Jove I don't know about this interesting was where I'm at right now I'm behind in my daily reading so I'm stuck in the book of Job it didn't that interesting I happened to be stuck in the book of Job and I wonder why I think there are some lessons there Jovie had some friends Leu Bildad and Zophar friends from the Far East they came and visited him prior to that you know job scenario he lost everything him and his wife had ten chi'lan lost all ten chillin lost the camels lost the donkey's lost the accent and job declared alive giveth and the Lord taketh away and then he said blessed hallelujah bless the Lord in the midst of your pain maybe joke new God maybe he connected the dots maybe understood that my circumstance does not triumph my relationship with God but even then he had some questions for God and while I'm there God can handle your questions I was told very early in my Christian life don't be a don't be raising questions like that and now that I'm old I got a whole lot more and him in that I got questions but I don't question him but I have questions Joe man he asks some of those questions what have I done to merit this then you know the hall giving he justifies himself and all three of his friends saw him they sit there in agony at the horror of what he saw even his own wife let me tell you something life will confront and challenge the very core what do you think you know so be careful walk around believing you're religiously up there let the right storm come let the right star cook and we know that this storm was the result of God's direct permissive will he allow Satan to attack his service because it's God who said about Joe have you considered my servant job matter of fact my righteous servant joke you know every ninety I think God likes to brag upon his chi'lan and he doesn't brag to his chilling to other people he brags to his silly against the enemy have you considered Joe I wonder what God said about Vincent who put your name in there he's upright and blameless I'm talking about Joe and then the book says he excused in other words he's Shawn's evil this is God talking about his man it ain't no party like him in the neighborhood Satan says is that right that's why that's why you got to be sober because when you're going through Satan comes I don't have time when Jesus came up out of baptism out of the baptism waters I remember that Matthew chapter three chapter four he gets the spirit in chapter three chapter four that same spirit takes him up to a high place he hadn't eaten in forty days nothing to drink the book says he was hungry he's in crisis carefully somebody he's going through and then guess who comes to dinner safe demonic chatter and the first thing Satan does when you in your crisis he casts doubt at your faith oh you've been dying at the church house pray must not be working look what has happened to you see that's how he talks he never do innovative you never heard him say that just keep living all that praying you doing I'll let preaching and all that work for what look at you sitting there miserable depressed suicidal homicidal and all the other side's if you are Jesus Lipizzaner how do you run up on the Son of God how do you run up on God and cast doubt on God if he'll run up on God he'll run over you and me but we didn't got arrogant we didn't got aggregate and then we talked to the DA there's no script in the Bible that has ever told you to talk to the devil especially if he ain't been talking with Jesus some of you have better conversations with the internet then you do it crashed but he said to tell the devil to get behind you he didn't tell you that find the scripture I'll wait on you I've been telling the devil to get behind that's like you stay in the trouble you in he gets behind you and pushes you in everything demonic chatter he casts duck and he don't care about your crisis his goal is to destroy you to make you blame God for the mess you in amen I don't have time to deal with that story B so you need to clear my second word there vigilant which means to be alert in other words you ain't got time for a lot of noisy foolishness when you're going through your crisis this is what I'm in a crisis I'd really want to if you don't mind I need to be alone with my god I appreciate your visit thank you very kindly but but I gotta I gotta find me a lonely place and I gotta stretch out I don't know about you but sometimes in my office I just gotta stretch out on the floor some stuff will make your layout concerned about religious posture on Sunday morning this is religious Pliocene piety but when you go to crisis you crawl up in a fetal position you ever cried you have a blown up you ever had to get out on your knees and no ever be ashamed don't ever feel shame the bottle before God you know back home in Texas we used to have Pratt meetings on Wednesday night everything was on Wednesday night back home in Texas every Church met on Wednesday night and we would get on my knees I remember this I was a little boy and I still see today my daddy would be honest I would come in off the streets at 2:00 in the morning my old man was being down on his knees and wonder what are they doing down there now I know why he was on his knees he was praying for that wild prodigal son of mine some stuff would make you get on your knees same in somebody and cry out lord have mercy on me then we have a real shame to do that because the cry of Mercy gets God's attention he'll stop by the Bible says the eyes of the Lord over the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cries don't forget that but you got to be vigilant why your adversary the devil the accuser is like a roaring lion and he'll come in your crisis you're not careful you listen to him you have you blaming yourself about the demise you in and then you have you blaming others then you'll be in the church and after why you be blaming God maybe you here this morning and you're going through and you don't know what to do to get through be quiet be still be sober and vigilant and then finally first Corinthians 15 in verse 58 - all of us who are still in the fight I want you to know the fights been fixed Amen it's been fixed and we win what's my role therefore my beloved brethren be steadfast keep coming to the house of the Lord don't so sake feel similar this is where God is okay what they say and don't come here for a preacher little come here for the teacher come here because you believe in the body of Christ that in the Fellowship of the body of Christ there is divine presence God is here say man believe that be steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord in as much as you know that your labor for the Lord is not in vain keep standing sometimes I know you can't stand but God is standing with you maybe you here this morning who I just think I just might have preached myself through say a man I feel about four or five more sermons coming on but we'll save them if you're here this morning if you're going through something you got to know there's a guy who knows he sees he's not a casual observer but he's waiting on you to open the door Book of Revelations either says born I'm standing at the door I'm knocking right in there God is knocking on your heart notice what Jesus says if you hear my voice and open the door I'll come in and I'll sup with you and you can sup with me you know what that means he's saying I have fellowship with you and Jesus never drops by just to eat he drops by with solutions for your crisis sometimes he just wants you to wait a while way to our son I know you can't see it through but but I got this trust me you hear this morning you've been trusting more in yourself and less than God maybe it's time to change that you know you can change that maybe you're not a child ago maybe you don't have anybody you can trust it we've got somebody and his name is Jesus he's able to help you through and if it doesn't turn out the way you want it give him praise that's what that's what job did job says do do we not receive good from God quite not evil the book says in all of this job did not sin but he worshiped and when you're going through your crisis learn to worship and we'll talk about that this evening usually when we go through crisis we start telling God about the crisis no you need to acknowledge who he is in the crisis because the only hope you have for that crisis is him how do you know because the viewer that's what I do to figured it out and you'd be out of it right now but you're not there smart you need him if you're here this morning and you're not a child of God I want to be a witness for Jesus I want to bear witness that he'll be right there for you life is about crisis I think I told you this already I'll tell you again I remember a few years back when I was in graduate school at a university of earn for MFT the only african-american male in my my whole class and the professors were sitting around and most of them were women and so I came in and I was sitting there and they were talking about midlife crisis I really want to get out of that class that day because I midlife I was midlife you know when you're midlife you stay there a while and you don't go back after midlife come older life so they were talking about midlife crisis and lo and behold I'm the only male and they asked the question mr. Hawkins Oh what do you think about midlife crisis you know I always have a little humorous as well I'm a black man what do you mean by crisis we live in crisis crisis in the community crisis in the country crisis in the church crisis but I turned my crisis over to the Christ help me somebody you have to make sense out of my stuff and without him you're gonna find bitterness of heart no I see now I see now I see now the psychological ramifications of even believers who don't trust in him you know you can be bitter with the Bible mind you're always mad with the Bible just what's wrong with you they're like a Bible sickening that's another spirit and we don't get better we become better even through the challenges if you're here Jesus wants to save you but you got to come he's standing at the door come by faith repentance and confession believe that he is the Christ acts 15 and verse 7 you know how that a good while ago God made Charles among us at the Gentiles by my mouth should hear what the word of the gospel and believe embrace him as Lord accept the fact that he died and was buried and God about the grave three days later that you might have salvation important acknowledging that turn away from this world it has nothing to offer listen everything you tried haven't worked and you know it well I'm just gonna try it again well won't you just try Jesus it just doubled district Jesus and if you don't help you the first time they're trying again look 13 3 and 5 I tell you me except you repent you shall all likewise perish confession to be Christ the Son of the Living God don't come confessing your sins he knows them already repent of those sins but confess him to be Lord they were baptized in water for the remission of your sins gotta give you the gift of the Holy Spirit attitude the body of Christ Church of Christ Church of the firstborn Church of the Living God the pillar and ground of the truth and you can leave here today on your way to recovery amen how you getting through Jesus he can fix it so we don't want him to pass you up this morning and don't pass him up if you're here and you need prayer maybe maybe your crisis is overwhelming I understand that what overwhelms us is an inability to make sense out of it sometimes it's one crisis that can be overwhelming and then several of them can really send you to a place and if you're not careful Satan is waiting on you because he'll get his victory by creating doubt in your mind by telling you you ain't good enough and guarding with you not drop by to tell you he was a liar then and he's a liar mad God who said I'll never forsake you to leave you it's our God and I believe that maybe your child of God in you need prayers sprat I pick prayer time and maybe some we're not allowed we need to get on our knees again and cry out lord have mercy I appreciate brother ask I like him to pray he can pray for me all the time because he don't play Lord heaven this help him I like that help help it we need you cry out but you know we too we become too religiously was sophisticated to cry out for help hmm David got in trouble you cried a lot of mercy on me my transgressions always before you against you only got have I seen some time you get a cry because I know heaven hears the cries of the children if you hear you need to respond do it right if it together standing sing will you come somebody's knocking at your door well somebody's door why don't you answer some polish is knocking at a you know watch like geez I
