Holy Smokes This Is Really Steep!

so we got a call for some kind of a jeep that is hanging on the edge of a cliff i guess up here by the radio towers on the tokerville falls road so we're gonna head up there and see if we can get it out we got lizzy with us this morning yeah it's it's a little bit cooler this morning but right now it's about 50 degrees halfway back there we got rudy back there in the banana tucker's gonna be flying the drone it's gonna be a great day howdy howdy let's get rowdy that's where we're going right up there the jeep is up there just hanging off that cliff just past those towers is this the furthest up you've had to go to get one well yeah usually they're trying to get to pokerville falls so i've never actually been to the top of the i've been to the radio towers but i've never been past that which is where they're stuck from the photos and videos that they sent it's not really a road okay we're driving straight up the side of this mountain forever is doing it easy peasy [Music] so we are on the radio tower road now just we're still climbing fast this whole journey's been nothing but uphill right here so steep oh my gosh do we have a parking brake in this so we don't roll back down it possible oh yeah okay so rudy i'm thinking winch i'm going to turn around and get up there and we just totally not pull you off yeah and winch this thing i'll put you in here and we'll winch you um back up onto the road okay i'm gonna go up and turn around and i think that's the best thing for this we get it to the top and turn around yeah and then bring it off man the camera flattens this out so much what the camera flattens this out so much i know like my phone doesn't do it just to see how steep is [Music] [Music] rudy when you hook this up go to the second or second or third hook not the short one this actually helps me walk down better because then i'm not falling [Music] okay yeah alrighty [Music] [Music] [Music] you're fasting there's not an awesome place to turn around up there but i don't think about it i don't think backing down this is an option so here's if if you can stay here i think you're gonna have to be pulled up here i don't know so matt wants to go to the top of the hill to turn around and i think that's an excellent idea because this is a steep hill yeah it is um and so he's gotta get the corvair turned around if he's going to pull me up it because i don't know if this will make it when did you try to drive to the top and it just when it gets stuck yeah it starts flying will take me all the way off the road the question is do i turn this around to pull him up or do i pull him up in reverse i don't know pulling up in reverse is harry i barely did it myself i know okay spot me you'll be all right you're almost above it just digging yourself it sure is super pretty up here though yeah me either like i've never seen lower smiths from here all right you're good you're right on the edge now you're good you're perfect all right you're coming right around all right straighten out a little bit straighten right a little that right there you go right there you're heading straight down it now straighten up hey well two ropes reach your problem now let's run them out right now you're good i gotta stop your front tire is dropping down another foot six inches down [Music] so graceful rudy yes this hill hills okay once we get to the top we're not out of the woods i figured that was as long as it took that turnaround is sketchy because at your right you're right on two edges three kind of if you count this one wow look at that [Music] okay we're going holy smokes can you help me at all [Music] you got traction yet [Music] okay i'll stop right here [Music] run up and down this road a couple times a day you'll be in shape in a week oh gosh no good place to turn around oh we're gonna 50 point turns okay rudy spot me i think i'm gonna pull up into that shade rudy and then back down there and then we're gonna get you up here and turn you around right here because i've turned around here twice [Music] is [Music] you know what my gears are too high in my transfer pace okay so i guess just pull up in front of me and parallel [Music] okay you're in for you're in four wheel drive right you're out of gas they knock it down knock it down into first gear wow okay [Music] just because of the angle yeah no it's just the wind you gotta back all the way down it's pretty sketchy this is super super steep i wonder what the angle of it is rudy said that hit right there where he's parked his uh clinometer is maxed out so it's over 35 degrees and this is steeper up here right there yeah that is crazy oh my gosh like i'm for three feet i'm struggling for traction in fact coming off of this i'm uh so when i'm coming off i'm in reverse i'm and so i'm just letting the break like i'm using the brake and the gas to slow me down yeah don't fall tucker those drones are expensive oh you all right tucker i said don't fall watch out [Music] that could have been a long fall turned around and just like saw it right out of the corner of my eyes what a great thing to be doing on a sunday morning mother's day mother's day morning how's that run rudy it's not supposed to be lake day but it is now you gonna finish it you're gonna get it down [Music] [Music] i wear better shoes oh my gosh that does not show the incline this is at how's that hike it's not as bad as that one but it's all right how about for you oh i've only been up and down about four times there you go thank you [Music] that was super super steep that it's been a while since i've been on something that steep that wasn't like slick rock and it's loose this is uh it's gravel well yeah this is what is this limestone this is limestone and it's just loose and that was steep so i told tucker be careful you're carrying your drone don't fall and i shouldn't have told him anything because not two seconds later he turfed it with his drone so i hope his drone's okay oh yeah yeah he ate it okay so the weight of this car is amazing it's like i don't know it was it's just heavier than the jeep and the jeep would have never winched that i just i would have never been able to winch that with a jeep it would have taken two of them so that's one thing but i need a lower transfer case really bad i'm i'm really putting a lot of pressure on the transmission climbing those steep hills but yeah um fun recovery now where you gotta go eat some breakfast because we've been up since 5. howdy howdy it got rowdy yeah thanks for watching
