christ dear brothers and sisters in christ jesus we all have encountered final exams in our life and exams will decide whether we are your past promoted or a failed in our subjects in today's gospel passage it gives a picture of a final exam that everyone has to face everyone in this earth have to face that is last judgment the final exam what is the criteria jesus gives a question as well as answer so that we can prepare well for this exam this is final judgment that once we die we have to give account for the sins we are done and based on that we get eternal life and our eternal damnation in this passage jesus gives a glimpse how that is going to be he will come as a judge he'll come with this glorious power he will not come like he's come before like a normal man like your servant form he'll come with glory he will come sit in the judgment seat and he will separate good from bad sheep and goat sheep are the good people and goat other people are not done god's will and here the criteria is not what the great achievements we are done in our life he's not going to ask what is your bank balance what is the career you're doing are you actors you're a celebrity or a doctor or a engineer those are not the questions is going to ask the question is i was naked did you give me food i was sick did you take care of me i was in prison did you visit me these are the questions jesus is disguised himself in the poor jesus is not only present in the holy eucharist jesus is present in the poor also as my dear friends and jesus himself says truly i tell you just as you did it to one of these least of this you are the members of my family and you did it to me yes my dear friends jesus clearly says when you do something to poor and the needy you are done to jesus himself and there is a reward attached to it the reward is you you that will be benefited you will have eternal life whatever you do you do it for jesus and you will inherit eternal life as my dear friends great saints have understood this message and that is why great saints like saint vincent de paul saint francis assisi said mother teresa catherine drexel said diamond the list goes on they worked tirelessly for taking care of the hungry naked abandoned and so on and they were able to do with a lot of compassion people who are leprous people are hand mentally handicapped challenged they're able to take care of them with great love because they were able to do that because they identified jesus in the poor dear friends it is an opportunity for us let our life not just pass away by just focused on our life our family my problem everything is centered on my my my this london season invites us to open our eyes to the needy who are sick abandoned and hungry probably will not be
