[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] everybody thanks for following along during my journey across the Grand Canyon rim to rim this was my first time there and this entire project was made possible by epic you may have noticed I was eating their bars I had the Bison uncured bacon and cranberry and I had the epic chicken sriracha this was my favorite they challenged me to go somewhere and live in an epic adventure just tried the epic chicken sriracha and holy crap this thing's awesome oh and it tasted great yeah fills you up I know exactly what's in here these bars were perfect for my hike easy to pack packed with protein and they're just simple they're a hundred percent whatever they say they are if you read the ingredients chicken red pepper garlic salt pepper Rica just celery powder the spices it's just exactly what you think should be in here is and they taste great you can check the description below for a link to buy these on Amazon where you can also subscribe and save and I'm offering a 20% off promo code in the description while supplies last I'm definitely gonna be eating more of these on hikes in the future just because they're so easy to pack and tastes delicious support me by supporting my sponsors thank you epic I've been testing the waters as far as what I should be doing at the end of these hiking videos a lot of you really liked the sit down Q&A how you can hike it yourself aspect of the tour to Mont Blanc video but I was curious to know if it was entirely necessary so I didn't put it in my Spain video and even though my Pecos de Europe video is doing very well thanks to some love and support and sharing from people local to that area I think y'all really missed that Q&A aspect so definitely let me know what questions you have about each trip and each hike that I do so that I can address them here for you now so I'm doing my research right now I watch pretty much everything on YouTube about my next destination and I take notes and I even mark the thumbnails and titles that I like I see how many views the other videos are getting I flew from New York to Flagstaff rented a car and drove about an hour and a half up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon where I camped for a couple of days charged batteries bought groceries got my backpacking permit so that I could spend a night down in the canyon I'm out here trying to scout possible time-lapse locations and also just trying to figure out what the hell I am doing out here it is freezing it is windy I lost my right contact this morning so now I think I have to wear my glasses for this entire trip and as you can see I am still waiting for my contacts in the male deserts I don't want to complain but this is high difficulty right now just with the temperature a drone and an apple core those are my breakfast I tried to find a spot where I could drone on the edge outside of the National Park but there's just such high wind that the battery was struggling to fly hello and the actual trail that I hiked was the self Kaibab to North Kaibab rim to rim trail I have a link to all trails where you can get the exact route that I took was about 20 miles but a lot of elevation there was 5,500 feet of elevation game going up from the middle where the Colorado River is there a bunch of campsites I stayed at the Bright Angel campsite I was supposed to stay at the cottonwood as I was going up on the second day but I felt like I could do the whole hike in two days instead of three so I went up and hiked at the North Rim which was surprisingly Pleasant even though it was one of the last days that it was open so I've spent a good amount of time here at the campground just chillin cuz I am waiting until my two o'clock shuttle back over to the southern rim yeah weathers great and there's no one here it's been really really nice I think it was worth it it would have been pointless to go back it would have been redundant to shoot and I was pretty tired it's a lot of up and down I actually found a scale right before I started this hike and I think my pack was about 27 26 pounds with water and food and everything so at the end of the hike I think I weighed it again and it was around 21 20 pounds actually did this hike on Halloween October 31st and a couple people were really into it one guy had a pumpkin you're celebrating Halloween huh all right I like it spending the night at Bright Angel campground at the bottom of the Grand Canyon along the Colorado River was really nice because they have Phantom Ranch you know they got food water you can pay for it some people stay there in lodges and buy steak dinners which I probably should have done it was like $60 but probably would have been worth it and they had their own specialty beer so I had that instead of the steak dinner maybe next time the Grand Canyon is just a flat desert nothingness and then a negative Maui just going down it's like the opposite of what I'm used to like going up somebody anything going down yeah it's like a mountain flipped upside down and I suggest going when I went in the autumn when it's not as hot because you'll face like hundred degree temperatures during the summer which can be quite dangerous as well I hope this video inspires you to get out into hiked and if you do hike the Grand Canyon please let me know I love revisiting those places because they're familiar to me now and I love seeing you know any kind of impact that these videos are making so let me know and of course if you snag any epic bars let me know on Instagram I would love to see that say thank you and share those videos if I can let me know if you have any other questions about the logistics of this quake or how I shot it I'm happy to share any and all information to help you do the same but thank you for watching and for caring and I I'm gonna go off and do another hike in a couple days I'm flying to Peru so wish me luck thank you
