think and they're almost all the same in one I think the same person they really are all the guys that I met in New York you know at that show he was the best yeah it really is terrific wish I could show where I said alone this long segment over let's go to commercial nice about it have a seat luckily I'm not a germaphobe the others who are terrific well listen we had so much fun we had so much fun earlier Oh business we had a lot of fun didn't we yes now the story I I got on Sara Night Live in nineteen Vernon ow yeah Walton my wife I don't know when you started but my wife and I would get up at 9:00 a.m. usually we were night owls in those days and we'd see this crazy couple on television and it was Regis and Kathie Lee yeah and so I started going around SNL but anyway you're ready for this okay could I tell you it took me a few months to get off this right go ahead yeah ready I bet we're right right so then I went to Robert Smigel is a great writer and we did our least catch yeah and I didn't know how you would react to it because I added an affectation you know my catchphrase oh yeah cuz I eventually I started going cuz read you getting those allergies all woke up here well yeah but Brokaw driveway we can't get a chair at the Shriners with you anyway I'm not a control and so we just told me years later then your publisher wanted to name your autobiography I'm out of control this is it right here and you had to tell him but I didn't really say that that was data got it yeah what it said about never had a car B but it was a great catch from only one man I'm only get out there in New York Yemeni gotta get out of con con town that's right routes over going back to NYC I'm gonna go see Hamilton okay that's a toggle in town okay so Regis was the same way so it's an endlessly fun attitude to play now Joe I want to ask you huh in real life going out take it does he get into that rhythm or is there a subdued quiet Regis we haven't take it easy choice you know this is going live and we just talk like that but I love it you know it's an affectation but I have his fleet but it's funnies but he never complains he can get the worst table in a restaurant he will never complete that's what I understand I got to do with everything it was asking for something nice we get reasons did you like it when you see Dana do this on SNL oh yeah I loved I got a big kick out of it did he get it right it not look did you sit back it was as finish it up you know yeah did you want to give him notes did he ever give you notes no no but you just said you know honestly I mean if you go very quiet of course I do it of every day so we have a sound like out of my life I just got it you know what's interesting is that I figured out because I was on stage the other night doing stand-up and I was starting to do Trump and I figured out the way I got Trump I started with you yeah then I added Brando and that gave me Trump can you do a little Trump for nothing first if you hit with Regis you're talking like this man you gonna brand own your kind of like this that's right now I can to kind of go you can go with Brandon when you move yourself to Regis and you're right here okay you're tremendous tremendous don't be rude jumping booth you're very nasty very nasty okay you're the one of the good ones you're one of the good ones you're terrific and look it's a Linda you fabula well you got to admit I mean Trump is I know he's a friend of yours long time yeah whatever your politics are your lizard brain just like some of the stuff he does because when when you know they took our undersea drone the Chinese down Obama's people are like what we're going to we're gonna do what we can and work with the appropriate authorities to stabilize and get back the motherís vehicle and the way we can do it and Trump just tweets they can keep it so party is going well you can say that oh yeah we got a billion there we go oh wow wow there's away I got to do a few he's got a lot of but wait wait I got it woo my gosh oh yeah we had a long conversation with Regis hobo I heard an interesting story about Johnny Carson him got close had a little dinner showed up late one night right got him cold Oh buddy yeah did you know Johnny oh yeah I was on his show man I'm sure I was one of his favorites I was on toward the end and everything I fell in tell ya what was there were a lot of sketches we did we did Carson yo for your seniors out there it was a combination of Carson with our CEO when he was threatened by our seniors rating oh right it's like whoop whoop whoop you see this is you know ed is not a baby's bed it's where you live and he didn't mind that but then there was one where Susan Day came on and Johnny didn't realize she was off the Partridge Family which she'd been for ten years so I understand you're on the Partridge Family is the show boy and I did not get back on the show after that so I hold out I did not really know why he I like well I'm assuming you know you're never really told but you know you're like could I get a bucket over here give me a Tuesday night okay and I didn't go on again but you know what but yeah I think it worked out okay for you Dan welcome you worked out just fine for you my god Johnny was the great but I believe you were well I would put you both know about Generation close one in a generate was great you had yourself hit but I also did this is Johnny Carson this what I do now for my friends okay Johnny Carson getting pulled over by the police on PCH okay this and the comedy to me is the name of the drink and where he had the drink oh okay cuz it's very 70s oh sorry officer I didn't know I was swerving I had to to slippery monkeys at the hooking club don't you love the name of the drink I'm trying to a two frozen pillows at the windy show it's just I don't know why that makes me have it just makes me happy because everything you say makes us happy honey tell about I wouldn't hurt us johnny was fine most the time he was fine but you know I should have called him at home hello who is this we're gonna stick around [Applause]
