all right guys in this video i just wanted to go over a couple little tips and tricks regarding the silverado now this works with most silverados [Music] with the british [Music] here's the first one uh if you have this center console not the the third seat center console not the full uh center console uh this freaking seat belt is always just like kind of hanging around um it it's pretty common sense but here's a cool place to just store the seat belt when you're not using it so obviously it sits there and you can shut this and then boom no seat belt in your way and it just keeps it out of the way super cool little trick um been doing it for years on all the third center third seat up front all right now let's show you the backup camera trick that i found out was really cool it's pretty cool you can see how the camera for your rear view camera is angled down well it's pretty silly but you can take this strap your tailgate strap pull it up here loop it around and then let your tailgate hang and then boom the camera is literally facing the hitch so when you're backing up you can easily see if your ball is directly under the hitch eyelet all right let's test this out so pretty simple just hook it there is kind of silly to have your tailgate hanging out like that but if you're by yourself all right let's test this out oh yeah that is sweet check that out so basically man you can see where your trailer is all right another thing in settings you do have a rear camera guidelines that you can turn on just want to go in settings and make sure those are turned on those are badass because um when you're backing up let's see we'll go back to home put in reverse they actually move so if your video your rear camera display is missing those just go ahead in settings and uh you do have the option to turn them on all right another thing is um you can get these from the factory and what it is is this bucket underneath the rear seat it's like really handy to have this here you can store a lot of stuff under the rear seat you can pick these up at the dealer i'm pretty sure a couple aftermarket companies make them too um it's a really cool sturdy little storage compartment that just goes under the rear seat alright here's another really cool trick so on your key fob you lock your truck and you lock the second time it honks now the purpose of it honking is actually to let you know that all the doors are shut so watch this shut it leave it cracked doors cracked can't barely tell it's cracked let's honk it again oh look it doesn't honk so that's a really cool feature let you know that one of your doors is still open so we'll open it shut it and let's go again perfect check that out pretty cool trick so if your truck is not set you're going to want to go to settings vehicle power door locks i believe no not power door locks remote lock and unlock so you're going to want to do remote lock feedback and you're going to want to make sure that is lights and horn or just horn only whatever you want but if the horn is turned off it will not let you know that your doors are shut so again that's in settings vehicle so settings vehicle remote lock and unlock start all right here's another one trucks locked you're going to want to unlock it and then hold down unlock again and your windows should all roll down it's a really cool feature in a hot summer day so again what you're going to want to do is go into your radio settings and i'll show you how to turn that on also the only downside about that is you can't roll them up with the fob that'd be really cool feature come on chevy let's go all right back to settings um on your home page go to settings go back down to vehicle remote lock and unlock same places for the horn chirp scroll all the way to the bottom and remote window operation you're going to want to turn that on and that gives you that cool uh automatic window roll down with the key fob all right here's another cool thing in settings um a lot of you with teenage drivers uh pretty soon i'm gonna have a teenage driver here you're going to want to go into teen drivers i already created a pin um and you're going to want to put your pin in and then you can actually set speed limiter audio volume limiter and uh speed warning signal that comes up at designated speed it's really cool let me show you okay so here we go i put my pin in didn't want to show it on the video but here we go you can actually look at a report card it shows you how many times they had an abs traction control wide open throttle over speed really cool you can see everything your truck did when the teen driver had your truck so what you could do what you can also do is go into manage settings and this is where you can set a audio limit a speed limit and a warning label really cool all right check this out these are your info pages um some of you actually might see some that you don't have up on the screen if you're missing any of these you're going to want to go over to push the left arrow down to options click in options and on at this page actually there is other pages but on this page you're going to want to push the right arrow and this brings up the checklist of all the different pages all right and then here are the settings that you want to check bot like check the box make sure you turn on the ones you want the ones that you don't if you haven't seen the video i did on the transmission thermostat delete you're going to want to watch that i'll put a link up i'll try to put one on right here check that video out because then you're really going to want your trans temp on to check out how good that uh sure cool transmission thermostat delete works check that video out um like i said i've been driving for about i don't know almost an hour now i had to drop my daughter off somewhere and i'm sitting at 187. it's a hundred and three degrees outside and i'm at 187 that's awesome if i were to make a drive like this in the past i would have been sitting way over 200 the thermostat in the old cooler doesn't even open until 190. it's just really cool that i have constant flow to my trans cooler like i said check that video out it was really cool video all right guys thanks for watching um i hope that helps show you a couple of features that these trucks have that you didn't know about smash that like button you
