15 Cool Things and/or Features on the 2017 Silverado!

[Music] everybody carvings Josh here and today I want to show you 15 cool things and/or features about the Silverado so number 15 is there's actually hidden controls behind the steering wheel which is pretty cool because you never really notice them on the front it you know looks like a lot less buttons but there's actually on both sides there are radio controls on both backs of the steering wheel number 14 is there's actually a button now to lock the child door locks in the rear so that the door will not open from the inside and the back seats that used to be a manual thing and now its power number 13 is there is actually a receipt holder with these little clips if you can see these little clips they are clipped on the visors and it is a really nice touch so we can just put your receipts right up there and a good place to put them number 12 is now a lot of cars I know do this but this is cool it this one does it too is that if you pull out on the visor it flips over and it also extends so that is a nice touch and I'm glad they do that on this silverado number 11 is a pretty nice one is that we got a she's got a pen holder on the side here on both sides it's is a really nice little touch so you actually got a place for everything so you got a little pen holder on the side and a notepad hold it back there so that's kind of a nice touch number 10 is a kind of a cool one I'm not sure I know lights pretty bad here I hope I can show you this but now you can see that now you see the home link up here now you see this little hole right there well this hole is actually got a purpose what it does is it shines down it's a little light and it's not very bright but it's just enough just kind of get a little bit of light in the area like so while you're driving down the road at night you'll have like your cups here and everything you can just kind of see a little bit you know it's kind of a very not a strong light not too weak of a light but it's just a very soft light that you can see what you were doing down here so that's kind of a cool feature number nine is a kind of a cool feature we got these voice commands now I used to just think this was just the Bluetooth button where you would press this and you could call you could just say got called that or whatever and it would call and it does do that and you can hang up here but there's actually another feature in the same button what you can do so if you got something playing either on the radio or anything really the CD what you can do is you can just press this button see it's playing track one right now I can just press this button here and go when I press it say a command or say help play track three playing track three and see now it's playing track three so that's pretty cool a really cool feature I like on this silverado number eight is cool to where you can actually rearrange if you don't like the way this this is formatted like um if you don't look you want your audio you can actually adjust it over to this way you can like kind of move it where you want it and kind of customize it so if you don't like the audio thing here you could move it over here or you can move it to the you can just move it to a different page or anything but yeah all I have to do is just hold it down here and then you can actually move it and then drop it somewhere else but I'm gonna leave it back here but so that is the kind of a cool thing known to get out of it you just press the home button there and then but you can actually customize this screen here so that's a kind of cool number seven is kind of cool too if this thing goes down it goes down like that what you can do is you can open the handle if you open the handle right here it raises the lock up so that's kind of cool and then you can get out number 6 is kind of cool also where you've got a rear-seat reminder so if you open your door your rear door before you go on a trip and you have this rear seat reminder on what happens is when you get to the end of your trip and you shut off the vehicle it'll say up here it will say rear seat reminder or look in the back seat and so that's helpful if you've got a child back there a dog or anything like you know you for you want like a briefcase back there that you don't want to forget or something like that our groceries I mean anything so it's kind of a nice feature that um is nice to have a reminder because it is easy to forget something back there so number five is if you go to the setting page again like you did for the rear seat reminder we actually had a valet mode where if you do that you can type in a passcode like I think it's like a four digit code whatever you want to make up you know you can just make up code or something and then what happens is it will not let you use the steering wheel controls and won't let you use the radio here it's kind of just like a valet mode so that nobody can mess with the features on your truck and mess things up or just do anything like that so it's kind of a lock out which is a really nice feature if you got you know maybe somebody driving a truck that you don't want messing with all the features so that's kind of cool the number four again in the same setting page when the vehicles on they won't show when the vehicles just got the key on but when the if you have the vehicle actually on they'll they'll say teen driver and when you do that that it's a teen driver mode what it will give you like a report card on how you're like if it's at your teen is driving please tell me tell you how far he or she went how many times they accelerated with at full throttle and different things like that and so it's a kind of a cool feature and you can use that conjunction with the valet mode to lock out the features - so if you want if he wants to know how far somebody went and you don't want him to mess with your features you can use both of those features so that's kind of very that's very cool number three is close out if you actually lock the truck it will lock the tailgate number two is if you press and hold this lock button for one second and you have the auto folding in mirrors which this truck does not have but you will see a metal button right in between here you will be able to fold in your mirrors from the remote now if you want to unfold them all you have to do is press and hold the unlock button for one second and they will unfold number one is if you press and then release and then hold down the unlock button all the windows will roll down on some models and if you so I'm pretty sure if you have power windows and this remote it should work but um you can test it out on your truck and yeah and all the windows will roll down and it's a good feature if you want to air out your truck if it's very hot outside and you want the hot air to kind of get out set get out of the truck and it's not like 110 degrees in the truck you know if you want air to air out it's a great feature so yeah thank you
