HGV Class 1 UK (finding work)

welcome back to another video as you can see today I'm back in hgv recently I've been switching jobs around on my previous hgv Vlogs I was actually on contract but currently I'm on agency being used and abused so today I'm working for pilot line and I'm pulling that double decker but as you can see I am the last one to leave the yard right now everybody's gone and I'm taking that one up I've done the curtains up it's all loaded um yeah I think we're pretty full on that one actually it's gonna be a heavy drive three hours drive as well and yeah we've got a Renault today this is the first company that I've actually worked and driven these renaults I don't I still don't know what to think of them they're not as comfortable as this Scania S500 that you guys have been watching me drive if you've been keeping up with the hgv Vlogs apparently two hours and 50 minute drive up to Birmingham so I'm gonna pick up this trailer and head all the way to Birmingham if you're not subscribed make we're gonna have a little talk let's go so um yeah currently on the agency um I'm gonna turn this on this a bit here so I'm currently on agency been moved around and at the moment I'm working for pilot line nice and easy work a lot of people would enjoy it I mean if you don't like multi drop if you don't like I mean rushing around you know things like that this is so easy it's just um It's trunking So currently I'm going up to Birmingham pilot line to do a drop um I started at 6 p.m I should be finished by tomorrow around the same time maybe a 12 hour shift 11 hour shift maybe you know if I'm lucky so yeah just going up to Birmingham to Pilot lines one place and then back and that is it just trunking so it's quite easy work I mean you can't complain so that's why I've not really been doing the HGB Vlogs because I'm I'm constantly like every day going to the same place um just trunking and I've done some work for romac as well in Southampton and they're trying as well so there's not really much you can get on on the Vlogs and stuff the nice thing about this is what I like I like more to wear drives long Motorway drives is what I like and mainly you get that when you're pulling these double deckers and I don't know I'm currently just going onto the M25 heading up towards Heathrow but let me quickly just say this because I've um you've just got your license um where should you start so I'm just gonna say whatever works for you whatever you can find you know just go with it you know um whoever it is just getting experience um whoever is something that you want to do something that you don't want to do you know just go through just do it and for me the way I started was basically just I got my license and I was looking around for jobs on class one I've held my class too since um 28 or five years and my class one I've had it for one year now so um well over a year so I've got over a Year's experience and so I've not actually been driving class one for that long mental yeah and basically once you get your license and it's getting this Lane yeah once you get your license um just go on contract you know just suck it up whoever they you know most contracts that take on people that have just passed you're not gonna get as much you know um money wise you're not gonna get as much but I don't some companies do pay you quite a lot these days you'd be surprised you just look around whoever takes on new passes just take it so once you pass out I would just say just take you know just take the contract get your experience and do what you want to do after that I mean if you can get one agency after you've just passed happy days and you want to be an agency do it you know but the opportunities come take them that's basically what I'm trying to say yeah just take the opportunities you know there's been a point where I've actually been a bit too um fussy and yeah things just weren't grown it didn't work out it just yeah I think I was out of work for like a good three four months without work so yeah so that's what I'm trying to say when the opportunities come just take them you've just passed them you keep looking around and you will notice when you've got an agency there comes a point where um an agency there's a few months in the year there's nothing on agency and there's also different months in the year where agencies are like we need drivers you know so it does die down and it picks up every single year that one's for you guys that have been asking me what do you do now you've got your license um I've been receiving some of your messages on Instagram um yeah so basically just take whatever opportunity comes along and keep looking basically that is it it's that simple So currently I'm gonna be a pallet line for 22 11 tonight it's light right now but as I'm driving it's gonna get dark it was a little bit weird at first but I've got used to it and now I don't even think anything of it so just yeah going up to pilot line and back and that is it so it's pretty simple it sounds easy but I know some people do get bored of driving to the same place every day um all the time some people do get bored of it and stuff and some people will not turn up to different places see different areas every day you know make every day different not every day the same because it does get boring but for me for now this is okay I'm currently enjoying it maybe because I'm lazy I don't know I just like the motorway drives it's just straightforward press that thumbs up and I'll see you in the next video
