history i want you to know that he is the self-existing one he is the god that created time he created day and night he is immortal the psalmist said it like this he is from everlasting to everlasting isaiah said it like this he said he is the first and the last i want to just talk about god for a minute god our father the ancient of days the sovereign god the holy god i want to talk about the sustainer of the pillars of the universe i want to tell you tonight that he is el shaddai he is the god who is the high and exalted one i want you to know he is eternally steadfast he is the god that can speak out of a whirlwind can i talk about elohim for a minute he is strong and mighty he is a mighty judge his name is el elyon and that refers to him being elevated as the most high god when you talk about the pillars of the universe it makes you remember this that despite the trials and the testings that you're facing that god has the ability to handle it no matter what it is i just need to remind you for a minute what the lord told me to tell you he told me to tell you that he is god he is yahweh and his name in principle means this distinctive god he is the god that reveals himself to us he is august and mighty the scripture describes him even when moses amen found himself in a dilemma he began to ask god who shall i say sent me when they begin to question his authority the bible says that god says that i am that i am so in exodus he is i am that i am i hope you all don't mind i just got to tell you what god gave me he told me to tell you he's a jealous god he is the centerpiece of civilization he is holy he is unmoved by man unshaken by the man man's plans he's not intimidated by the devil he's sanctified he's god the father and he is our master i want you to know that there is sanctity and power in his name he is the name of the divine origin he is based on the book of revelations he is almighty god he is infinite and inapprehensible he is the god that will transcend human thought i want you to know he is the word and he is eternal i have to write it down because i don't want to forget one thing he told me told me to look in the wisdom literature in the book of proverbs and find out that solomon said it like this that god is wise and he's just in the book of ecclesiastes he shows us that god helps us to deal with life because life is only a vapor i want you to know that there was a man in the old testament by the name of job and the word of god says that job this man who eschewed evil and he was an upright man the bible says that the sons of god met together and the devil came to the meeting and the word was asked have you considered my servant job so god had to brag on job for a minute because he knew that he was an upright man but the devil said yeah he'll serve you because you got a hedge around him my god he he began to make it seem like if you take the hedge away from job he's going to curse you to your face ah but job had an experience with god where he loved god and in the midst of his trials his response was that he fell down and he worshipped the truth be told there were times that job began to question because there were some things that he just did not understand and god had to have a conversation with job he said where were you when i laid the foundation of the earth where were you when i laid the cornerstone of the earth i want to ask you a question job who shut up the sea and who scooped out the earth amen with his hand i want you to know he stepped out of nowhere onto nothing and he became our god he's a creator of mankind he is god i just want to take my time and talk to you tonight about god he is holy he is a spirit and they that worship him shall worship him in spirit and in truth he began to ask job have you perceived the depths of the earth have you understood that the treasures of the snow and the hell are mine he began to tell him that i'm the one that sends the lightning and i'm the one that numbered the clouds who provided for the raven nobody but god i want to talk about god tonight because it is necessary for us to be reminded that the god that we're praying to in our times of request our times of petition our times of intercession and our times of warfare we're not just praying to something in the air but we're praying to the creator of the whole world i want to tell you that his name is jehovah nesi and the lord is our banner i want you to know that he is the scepter of israel i just got to talk about god for a minute because i found him to be all right he is the rock that is higher than i the psalmist said it like this he said hear my cry oh god attend unto my prayers from the end of the earth will i cry unto thee when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than i for thou has been a shelter for me and a strong tower from my enemy he is jehovah shalom he is god our peace i want you to know tonight that he is our resting place he is our sanctifier he is our kinsmen yeah i gotta talk to you for a minute it was zechariah that said it like this he said in that day there shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses holy to the lord holy to the lord holy to the lord i want to ask you a question tonight how many of you know god for yourself do you know the god of abraham isaac and jacob i want you to know that all through the scripture that it was men and women of god that prayed to god and he did it for them want you to know that i'm talking tonight about the god of abraham of isaac and of jacob i want you to know tonight that god is the god of abraham who was the father of multitude and many of you know the word of god you know that abraham prayed and asked god because he was going childless but he asked the lord to give him children and the bible says that the answer to abraham's prayer was that god would cause him to have children that would number as the stars in the sky he said so shall thy seed be i just need to walk through the scripture for a minute and remind you who i'm talking about i'm talking about the god of joseph the joseph that had some brothers that that were upset with him because he had a cult of many colors and they were jealous of joseph and because of that they began to plot against him and threw him down in the pit but god went down in the pit with him oh come on somebody i want you to know god will be with you when you're on the mountaintop but he knows how to be in the pit when you're in the pit bible says that the brothers took the coat of many colors and took blood and splattered it on him on the coat and took it to their father but god used joseph to cry out to god and god calls the prayer of joseph to be a prayer of forgiveness and the bible says that one day those same brothers that threw him into the pit they had to come back to him in the time of famine and god allowed joseph to be the one who became the governor over the distribution of food god was there when they needed something to eat look at your neighbor and say god of abraham god of isaac tell them god of joseph i just got to remind you who i'm talking about before we can testify that god did it we need to talk about the god that did before we can testify about what he brought us through it's time for us to tell the world who we're serving we're serving the god of hannah a woman of god that prayed in bitterness of soul and she wept and she cried because she wanted a son and the bible says that she went to her husband elkanah he said am i not better to you than all of the sons come on here but she wept and she cried unto god and when hannah cried to god the bible says that god heard her cry the scripture lets us know that hannah had a son by the name of samuel and samuel went on to anoint the kings of israel i just want you to know i'm telling you about samuel's god i'm telling you about hannah's god i'm telling you about abraham's god but can i talk to you about another man named hezekiah hezekiah's name means the strength of the lord and hezekiah found himself sick but the bible says that hezekiah turned his face to the wall and the bible says that i have heard thy prayer and i have seen thy tears and behold i will heal thee and i will add 15 years to your life i want to know who in here is serving the god of hezekiah that will give you a chance even after you
