[Music] [Applause] [Music] do [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] oh [Music] ah [Music] you [Music] so um [Music] are you ready welcome again to hayden lake seventh-day adventist church um we have barbara o'neil here again and we also have more books so we have received another box of barbara's book we are also if there's not still going might not be enough still so what we're asking is people who are who come from further away we will have books for you and then if people live close by we are going to order another shipment of books as well because we only have 40. so we can pre-order for another box shipment so go ahead at the break or afterwards to tell kimberly in the back if you'd like a book and we've got some here and we can order some more in so with no further ado let's have a prayer let's bow your heads dear heavenly father thank you again for another beautiful day beautiful sunshine and clear air we're so blessed to be here in north idaho and lord i i thank you so much again for bringing your servant barbara o'neil here to share your message of health a way we can have a clear mind and to hear your voice even clearer and to know your will and i also pray for your blessing to be upon barbara and i pray for your blessing to be upon everyone here to do the things that we are learning i pray in jesus precious holy name amen welcome everyone to tonight's presentation and tonight's presentation is often misunderstood often not realised the effect and that is the effect of hormones and hormones are little chemical messengers in our body and what i'd like to do today is i'd like to begin by going through some of the symptoms of a female having a hormonal imbalance and then we're going to look at some of the symptoms of a male having a hormone imbalance and then i'm going to show you how the hormones are made how they work in the monthly cycle then we're going to have a look at what throws the hormones out because remember there's always a reason and then we're going to finish by showing what brings them back into balance because our body runs according to precision balance and the body's ever trying to get a correct balance and if you give it the right conditions it will that's the good news so let me begin by looking at some of the symptoms of a female having a hormonal imbalance very early periods normal is 16 to 18 and you hardly ever hear of a young girl getting her periods at 16 to 18. in fact i've heard of young girls getting their periods at 9 10 years of age see that that's almost robbing them of their childhood so that's one of the symptoms of a hormonal imbalance also very heavy periods very painful periods also premenstrual tension being irritable the week before the periods isn't that good news it's not normal and tonight you're going to find out how you can conquer that some more probably serious symptoms of a hormonal imbalance would be endometriosis fibroids in the uterus cysts on the ovaries polycystic ovarian syndrome also cysts in the breasts little tumors in the breast breast cancer cervical cancer uterine cancer thyroid problems depression and heart disease these are some of the symptoms of a female having a hormonal imbalance what about a male can a male have a hormonal imbalance they absolutely can because in a man the number one hormone is progesterone as we'll see the number two is testosterone and the third in a man is estrogen whereas in a woman the number one hormone is progesterone number two is estrogen number three is testosterone so men and women have the same hormones but they're just in different amounts in fact the estrogen is often called the female hormones and the testosterone the mild hormone so what would be some of the symptoms of a male having a hormonal imbalance low sperm count inability to hold an erection it's called pd penile dysfunction in australia today the current figures are 45 of men over the age of 40 are struggling with this one it's a hormonal imbalance also for a man it can be not only low sperm count and penile penile deficiency or dysfunction but it also can be prostate problems we almost didn't know what the word prostate meant 20 years ago isn't that true it's almost a household name today so prostate problems can be a result of a hormonal imbalance too much of the female hormone can cause a man to be effeminate and too much of the male hormone can cause a female to be masculine you're almost not allowed to talk about that in australia i don't know what it's like in the state of idato but i'm just giving you the basic science here so now let me introduce you to the hormones the sex hormones are made from a very important lipid in the body called cholesterol we've already looked at cholesterol a few times we've looked at how you can't get your vitamin d unless you've got enough cholesterol we've also looked at how cholesterol does not cause heart disease it's damaged to the arterial walls if your cholesterol levels are too low you are not going to be able to effectively make your hormones because from cholesterol the body makes pregnenolone and from pregnenolone the body makes progesterone progesterone is a key hormone because progesterone is the precursor for the other hormones so from progesterone estrogen is made from progesterone testosterone is made and from progesterone testosterone your adrenal hormones are made they're your fight and your flight mood hormones so you can see progesterone is a pretty important hormone let me take you through the monthly cycle it's a 28-day cycle so let's draw our 28 days here's day one in the middle we've got day 14 21 and 7. and i'm going to show you how these hormones work together in the monthly cycle progesterone is wearing a green outfit in what happens and progesterone's nickname is happy hormone what's the old saying happy wife happy life is that right there are many unhappy homes because the woman has a hormonal imbalance estrogen is going to be the red color and estrogen's role in the body one of its main roles is that of cell proliferator cell proliferator means it causes massive cell growth it is estrogen that causes the skinny young girl to develop into a beautiful shapely woman but if estrogen levels remain high that beautiful shapely woman can get out of shape i like an estrogen to fire and water good slave bad master now right at the moment in australia it's winter and so my husband lights the fire every evening in our little combustion fire to keep the house warm but when i arrived back in australia december 20 2019 and drove onto our property our 450 acres was black you've probably heard about the big fires that went through we just thank god that our buildings remained but the australian bush it revives back very very quickly so i like an estrogen to fire and water good slave bad master it has a role but as you will see as we go through this if the levels become too high it can cause major problems so let's look at the monthly cycle day one of the monthly cycle is the day that a woman begins to menstruate day one of the monthly cycle progesterone levels are low or we'll say out of the picture at the moment day one of the monthly cycle estrogen levels are also low but by day seven estrogen levels are rising so in the second week of this monthly cycle we've got estrogen levels rising and there's a reason for that let's go over to the reproductive organs of a woman's body and have a look at how they play out there this is the uterus that's the cervix these are the fallopian tubes and on the end of the fallopian tubes there are little filaments like this and we've got ovaries here and the ovaries are connected to the edge of the uterus by a ligament and then we've got the birth canal at this time of the month with high estrogen estrogen with its cell proliferator action is causing massive cell growth in the lining of the uterus causing the blood nest once again to build up because remember day one of the monthly cycle the blood nest came away estrogen with its cell proliferator action is also causing massive cell growth in the ovaries causing eggs to develop well they're already started in fact the eggs of a woman in her 20s 30s are developing in her in her adolescent years even this is why she should never have the laptop on her lap because it interferes with the development of the eggs also at this time of the month a special form of lubricant is being released around the birth canal day on day 14 15 and a fully developed egg bursts forth from the ovaries and the little filaments on the end of the fallopian tube pull up the egg into the fallopian tubes and the fallopian tubes are ever moving like this causing the egg to move up up up now the hole where the egg bursts forth develops a blister and that blister is called the corpus luteum i have written it in green because corpus luteum is the main site of progesterone production in the woman's body now you will see the importance of this as we move on and so we've got our blood nest we've got our egg we've got our lubricant and so estrogen is given the message you can you can come out of the picture now but about round day 14 with the development of corpus luteum now we've got a rise in progesterone levels so what effect does progesterone have at this time of the month progesterone has a ripening effect on the lining of the uterus i liken progesterone to the plasterers and the painters putting the finishing touches on the blood nest progesterone also has another effect at this time of the month and that is to heighten a woman's mood at this time of the month being happy hormone to the point of increasing her sexual desire at this time of the month progesterone has another effect and that is on the cervix so this is the cervix here it's a little gateway up into the into the uterus so it's like a little cushion with a little uh button in the middle so to speak so let's have a look at side on side on it looks like this and that's what it usually looks like that's a little mucus plug now under the effect of progesterone the lips come up a little tighter and the mucous plug is released and a special form of lubricant is released around the cervix and this special type of lubricant is designed to facilitate the entry of sperm up into the uterus so you can see the stages set for the entry of man did you know that between 200 and 500 million sperm are released with one ejaculation it's the smallest cell in the human body is the sperm cell now up to half of that sperm often comes straight back out now if the sperm meet this cervix difficult to gain entry but they are so tiny that they usually do but if the sperm meet this cervix that lubricant literally grabs the sperm and shoots it up into the uterus remember it's the smallest cell in the human body this probably even doesn't do justice to it and so they've got a long journey long journey remember there's thousands of them and some of them go down the wrong road up no egg down there so they basically dine or absorb back into the body but some of them get to go down the right road aha they've found their prize i saw a photograph one day with 15 sperm all trying to gain entry into the egg now the eggs the covering of the egg basically has folds like this and the sperm has to nudge its way in between one of those folds and it's not easy to get in and once it gets in all those other foals shut tight and a chemical is released to kill off any other sperm that might try and gain entry is it incredible what science knows about the intricacy of the workings of the human body now and isn't it a miracle that any of us are here when you have a look at everything that has to be in place for the conception of a new human being within a matter of days there's a division to the first two cells and those first two cells dna is perfectly intact now that dna has never been and will never be again now there's a lot of discussion about when life begins now knowing that when does life begin it actually begins before the woman even knows she's pregnant within it's you i think it's estimated within easy a week of conception you've got your division to those first two cells i think there'll be a lot of surprises on the resurrection morning realizing that and so before we move on and find out what happens at the end of the month i want to talk to you for a moment about sperm when sperm goes through the prostate gland of a man it takes on an immune suppressant property because when sperm enters woman's body it's an alien so a woman's immune system rises to attack but because of the immune suppressant property of sperm and knocks back her immune system and sperm survives more miracles that were even here but woman's body has memory and every time her husband's sperm enters her her immune system rises ah it sees something familiar so it says oh it's husband we'll just stand back and so sperm can gain entry but can you imagine how how devastating it can be for a woman that has multiple partners on her immune system and how devastating it can be in the area of anal sex it can have devastating effects on the health of the person it's so important to always go along with the way god designed us to be but what causes the imbalance but before we go there let's have a look at what happens at the end of the month so if a woman falls pregnant what happens if she conceives what what happens her progesterone soars 200 percent don't we often say when a woman's pregnant she's just blossoming what if a woman wasn't just blossoming it would indicate that she's lacking progesterone and we're going to be having a look at why that would be so in a minute i was pregnant or breastfeeding non-stop for 14 years i breastfed three months into every pregnancy because i breastfed my babies for a couple of years and a lady said to me once oh you poor thing i said i know it was wonderful i love babies i enjoyed it and our progesterone levels are nice and high so what happens to the other hormones in pregnancy there are three estrogens there's one progesterone but the estrogen is actually a family of estrogens so you've got estrone and estrone is known as e1 you've got estradiol and estradiol is known as e2 and you've got estradiol estral is known as e3 now estrone and estradiol both have strong cell proliferator action so they've got the strong growth stimulant in them whereas israel is a delicate estrogen and it is estral levels that rise in pregnancy so let's say there was no conception so what happens is by day 26 progesterone levels have gone right down estrogen levels have gone right down progesterone levels have gone right down now both of those levels drop right down the blood supply to the uterus is cut and when the blood supply to the uterus is cut the blood nest comes away and so once again we are at day one of the monthly cycle that's what the monthly cycle should look like and unfortunately today it doesn't often look like that doesn't seem to be any room for my resident why why not well let's have a look at why what causes the imbalance so let's make a list of what can cause an imbalance in the hormones number one 1957 the first contraceptive pill was introduced to women 1960s is called the sexual revolution women wanted to be able to have sex without falling pregnant what is the pill and what effect does it have the pharmaceutical companies grow acres and acres of mexican wild yam in a laboratory that wild yam which contains a plant chemical type called diostenin and in the laboratory this plant chemical that's in the wild yam can be converted to progesterone it's called progesterone because it has an identical molecular structure to the progesterone that the woman's body makes now the pharmaceutical company can't patent that they can only pa patent something they create something new and so they add a few more atoms in one area and come up with a synthetic estrogen they add a few more atoms in another area and come up with a synthetic progesterone these are the synthetic hormones that are in the pill in the 1960s 70s 80s it was only synthetic estrogen and because of the problems it was causing because of the breast cancers and endometriosis all hormonal imbalances it was causing because when that estrogen is high as you can imagine all sorts of problems can be created and so by law they had to put progesterone in it because it was acknowledged that estrogen in fact the health department of australia have issued a warning that estrogen is a known human carcinogen that's the cancer foundation issued that warning and so they had to put some synthetic progesterone in so i think from about the 90s the pill has the synthetic estrogen and the synthetic progesterone it's not called progesterone it's called progestin or progesterone because it's not identical has that helped no as you will see it really hasn't helped at all now when these synthetic hormones are fed into that biochemical pathway that your body uses to make the hormones it causes a disruption so the body thinks what's this disruption must be pregnant and so the body now stops releasing the egg so the woman doesn't fall pregnant but if a woman stops releasing the egg corpus luteum is not made so let me show you exactly what's happening on the pill so our our ratio should be number one progesterone number two estrogen month after month on the pill with its synthetic estrogens where's estrogen going month after month on the pill no ovulation no corpus luteum where's progesterone going and this is happening week after week after month after month after year after year we now have a situation sadly too common today which is estrogen dominance progesterone deficiency good slave bad master is now the master let's have a look at what the cycle looks like now estrogen's way up there estrogen with its cell proliferator action causing massive cell growth in the ovaries there's your cysts on the ovaries there's your polycystic ovarian syndrome there's your fibroids in the uterus there's polyps in the uterus polyps in the birth canal there's your cancer and positive cells being picked up on the on the cervix and what are young girls asked or almost forced to be vaccinated against at the age of 13 14 15. the gardasil the gardasil vaccine and they say to prevent cervical cancer well in the northern european countries now they're finding women who are in their late 20s early 30s who had the gardasil vaccine in their teens are developing cervical cancer so this very vaccine that was supposed to prevent it is causing it so please anyone who has young girls or if you're a young girl and this vaccine is offered you please say no thank you because you do have a choice most don't realize it but it's our god-given choice it's our god-given right i should say to choose what goes in or what doesn't go into our body but the main cause of the cervical cancer as you can see is this hormone disruption this is also the the growth in the breast this is the the lumps in the breast this is breast cancer this is uterine cancer ovarian cancer and by the way while all this is going on where's progesterone down here and how does the woman feel a week before her periods she's going to bite everyone's head off i said to one lady do you get uh pre-menstrual tension she said no i just hate my husband for a week every month she's got it it's because of this low progesterone happy hormones not present and high estrogen opposes thyroid function how many women were on the pill when they were young and now they're in their 50s 60s and they're developing thyroid problems and how many ladies as they're going through menopause are getting hot flushes what's the hot flushes it's high estrogen estrogen is a capillary dilator it causes all the blood to rush to the skin and the husband knows it because all the blankets get thrown off in the middle of the night and then a few minutes later they get pulled back on again it's that hormonal imbalance how many ladies going through menopause are getting hot flushes they've got weight gain they cannot lose the weight with high estrogen it's almost impossible to lose weight because it's got a one set mind it must sell proliferation more cells more cells this menopausal lady has no desire for sex and when she has sex it's very very painful she is of all women most miserable she's depressed she goes to the doctor so he gives her hormone replacement therapy does that fix everything no the lady likes it because the flash has stopped one lady said to me i'm the ceo of a large company i'm in charge of board meetings i'm in the middle of the board meeting and i get a hot flush and the perspiration is dripping she says very embarrassing i don't know what to do i went to the doctor he gave me hormone replacement therapy and the flush has stopped more synthetic hormones so the body thinks must be pregnant so instead of putting the energies to the skin it starts putting its energies in breast and uterus here's the breast cancer six years after being on the hrt hormone replacement therapy i've had several ladies say to me a lump develops they go to the doctor it's breast cancer he takes them off hormone replacement therapy immediately why he knows it can cause so you say to the physician well why do you do it and he says well not every woman will get breast cancer that's true and she was suffering and it brought her relief and that is also true but if you ask the woman what would you prefer hot flushes or breast cancer what's the answer i'll just get a black lace fan yeah i'll have 10 showers a day at least it doesn't kill you absolutely because the pharmaceutical companies cannot paint in progesterone that there's no progesterone drug that can be given but there are some people that have an obvious hormonal imbalance and they've never been on the pill see if a woman's on the pill before she gives birth to her her daughter that woman has now that woman child girl child has born with a hormonal imbalance and that's the young girl that gets her periods when she's 9 or 10. and the young boy that's gets born to the woman that was on the pill for seven years before she gave birth to him that's the boy that can develop you know with feminine tendencies or low sperm counts can you see the effect it's having we did a health program one day and we had grandmother mother and daughter daughter was i think about 33 mother was late 50s and the grandmother was in her i think late 70s early 80s i saw slight hormonal imbalance in the grandmother twice as bad in the mother well four times worse in you see so what do people blame oh it's in the genes well why is it in the genes who put it in the genes what caused it to be in the genes so what else can cause the hormonal imbalance number two what causes a chicken to be fully developed in five weeks growth stimulants one man who lives in asia he said a lot of the chickens in in the market in asia their breasts are so heavy they fall over so they're given the growth stimulants to stimulate rapid growth so when the human eats that chicken or eats that egg they're getting it it's against the law to give growth stimulants now and so the chickens have been genetically modified to produce more estrogen if you do love eggs and you do want to have your own chickens you have to go and find a 90 year old farmer who's still got the chickens that his father had that's about the only way he can get a safe egg today because just about all the chickens have been genetically modified so we had a young man do our program he was late twenties he said i have two friends and one six foot four one six foot six and their father's five foot ten and the mother's five foot two where they come from well their father owns a chicken farm in australia we call it chook have you heard that a chook we call an adult chicken a chook and the babies are called chickens but here in the u.s they're all called chickens aren't they so if you hear me say chook you know what that means so you can be going along in australia and a big sign will say bbq barbecued chook so you know what that means a chicken so these boys because their parents owned a chook farm that's what we call in australia chook farm what are they eating morning noon and night chicken barbecued chocolate eggs if it's in the chicken it's in the egg and look at the growth that it caused in them it's against the law in australia for cattle farmers to give their their cows growth stimulants but we had a cattle farmer's wife do our program she said monthly they're knocking on our door pushing the growth stimulants and she said they tell us if you stop the gross students at this point it's not picked up in the market when you take the cow to market so if it's in the chicken it's in the egg if it's in the meat it's also in its products what about fish well when you've got eighty percent of women on the pill or hrt going to the toilet the sewage goes out to sea the fish are feeding on the sewage and they're finding female fish with male tendencies male fish with female tendencies and some fish farmers are complaining their fishes aren't reproducing properly anymore so it comes down the line and the fish isn't the end of the food chain is it the human that eats the fish is the end of the food chain lentils are sounding more attractive all the time aren't they if you're able to get my book in the back of my book i've got some very delicious recipes on how to make legumes taste fantastic so if it's in the meat it's in the product but i have met people who are vegetarians they're plant-based they've never eaten the meat in its products they've never been on the pill or hrt so what's caused that then we come to the third one which is plastics we're such a plastic society aren't we when i was a little girl in the in the 50s every morning we'd go and open the door and there would be a glass bottle of milk with a little um with a top that was made out of alfoil and it was all phased silver but at christmas time it was red you know and we'd save it and make decorations for the christmas tree out of it and when we had cereal and we opened the cereal it was wax proof paper but everything's plastic today isn't it in the in the molecular structure of estrogen there's a fennel ring and that fennel ring is the key that unlocks the door to get estrogen into the estrogen receptor on the cell a lot of plastics today have this fennel and you may have heard this bisphenol a it's called bpa bisphenol a and you've also got a non-phenyl non-phenyl is in many plastics and it's the non-fennel that causes the plastic to be soft so if you go into the supermarket and buy a bottle of water it's in a plastic and you can squeeze it but you can get water bottles with hard plastic and you'll usually see on the bottom it'll say bpa free so the hard plastic is is the safe plastic it's that soft plastic now when when i was about 16 my brother got his first car it was a zephyr and he loved his zephyr and it was second hand but the dashboard had a big crack in it so my brother put turquoise for fur on it and a cow you know and the head goes up and down that's very 60s isn't it have you noticed that dashboards don't crack anymore it's because of the non-fennel that's in them it causes the plastic to be soft but those plastics with the non-or fennel when they're taken into the human body they get into the estrogen receptor site on the cell so they're called xenoestrogens you might have heard of xenoestrogens meaning estrogen mimickers they mimic estrogens and these chemical estrogens which we call them have strong cell proliferator action like estrone and estradiol so be careful of your exposure to plastics one of the worst is hot soup into a plastic container to keep in the fridge so please little by little build up your your leftover containers with glass i know in australia we have second hand shops i saw a goodwill shop that second hand yeah often in the back there they have boxes of jars lots of jars that's a cheap way to get some some good leftover containers try and store your food in glass i know everything you buy now is in plastic there's nothing you can do about that but when you get it home ideally put it into uh into your your glass jars for a while we were buying olives in great big jars like this from see in australia we have fruit and vegetable shops and we always have had they just serve fruit and vegetables but here to get fruit and vegetables you go into big supermarkets don't you so always the italian families had the fruit and vegetable shops and we still have them in australia and i know this shop this italian family they would get a lot of olives and olive oils from italy but the olives are in big jars so we we've got lots of very big jars but we keep our food in the big jars at our health center now so try and always have your food in jars glass jars or in ceramic stainless steel try as much as possible to get away from plastics i think it's impossible to eliminate plastics but just do the best you can we buy boxes of plastic bags that are made out of starch so you can get plastic bags made out of starch but don't store some clothes in it in the cupboard because if you go in there in six months time and pick up the plastic bag it'll disintegrate see they're biodegradable another area too is we call it nappies babies nappies you call it diapers is that right you can get disposable nappies made out of starch they're a little bit more expensive but they're certainly worth it because if we think we've got hormonal problems now you wait for the next generation this this you know the generation of children today they've had more exposure to plastic than i think any generation a lot of mothers are choosing to go back to cloth diapers too also with babies do you call them dummies pacifiers pacifiers we call them dummies my daughter had one for her little one she lives in wisconsin and it cost her fifteen dollars but she paid it because it was made out of rubber so you and teats on bottles you can get rubber ones it's worth paying extra so if if you know someone has a baby you know what a nice present is a couple of big packets of disposable nappies made out of starch and a wooden rattle you call them rattles the things that babies suck on in fact when i was in germany i saw a great little section on wooden rattles because my youngest grandchild luca is only three months old and i posted her this little wooden rattle because babies are sucking on things so much aren't they so try try not to to get them to suck on plastic and you'll find most rattles most things for babies are plastic so if you investigate you can find rubber ones and you can find fine wooden ones now you know those old-fashioned dolly pegs you know the old dolly pegs that came down with one thing either side i've got some of them and whenever i see a lady have a baby i give her a dolly peg because they're wonderful for baby to suck on they just would you know they they uh you can make little dolls out of them that's why they're called dolly pigs they look like that yeah and they come up like oh you call them pins don't you we call them we call them pegs you know and they peg the clothes on the line i like putting my clothes in the sunshine but i find often where i go in america they say oh that's very old-fashioned putting your clothes on the line is that yeah i can imagine you do it when it's snowing but on days like today sorry i i forgot you call them clothes pins we call them closed pegs because i went into a walmart one day asking for clothes pegs oh they didn't know what i was talking about and i realize it's pins so we're exposed to plastic in so many areas and so it's important to be mindful of that and there are three plastic fabrics one is polyester acrylic and nylon so polyester acrylic and nylon are mad made really plastic fabrics now especially ladies it's you know underwear ladies bras and ladies underwear lady like pretty things and often they're made out of these chemical fabrics but you can get bamboo or viscose viscose is made out of bamboo and we're in a shop i don't know the name of it but it's like a health shop this afternoon and i bought a whole lot because there's leggings and bras and petticoats all made out of bamboo and we looked at the label and it said made in australia it's a little bit silly me buying it here but this is this is a hidden way that many bodies are being exposed to chemicals is the fabrics especially less next to the skin on a warm day it was quite warm in the middle of the day today if you're outside you're perspiring your pores open so if the fabric that's touching your skin is made out of these chemical plastic fabrics that can even affect your hormones i know in australia there's a shop called lorna james i don't know if you have a luna james but it's all exercise clothes for women but nothing is made out of natural fiber now i i do hesitate to say that because maybe things are changing a little bit and they might they might have a few brands made out of that but be very mindful of the fabric that's touching your skin whenever i come to the u.s i buy leggings and fine tops from smartwool you're familiar with smartwool it's an american brand it's the finest wool it does not itch but please be mindful of what's touching your skin that's a hidden way the chemicals can come in and be contributing to the hormonal imbalance herbicides insecticides pesticides and the worst is roundup or glyphosate apparently sweden has already banded i know the sri lankan government has banded australia's a little bit slow to ban it but it made headlines two years ago an australian uh farmer and his wife both died of pancreatic cancer and i directly attributed it to the roundup that the lady used to spray it all around her gahu flower garden to kill louise they used it in the paddock because the producers said it was safe you've heard that it's only a surface spray they said but it's not true why is the sri lankan government banned it because so many rice farmers were dying and their children were getting sick from the glyphosate or roundup that they were using so be very cautious on the food that you buy to and it's not going to tell you on the packet is it that's why it's important to buy organic as much as you possibly can so the chemicals chemicals herbicides insecticides plastics these all have the ability to disrupt the hormones and especially that third group those xenoestrogens they have strong cell proliferator action so what we're going to look at now we're going to look at how how you can bring the balance back now with some people the hormonal imbalance can be caused by a little bit of all that or some it's just majorly one or the other that's why you're the doctor so how do we turn it around number one eliminate the cause if you don't turn the tap off you're still going to be mopping up in the other corner eliminate the pill so how do we prevent having babies cropping up everywhere well sex is two parts so i believe contraception should be two part so the woman's role is this to know when she is ovulating and her body will give her three signs the first sign is her temperature will change so it's a matter of her taking her temperature every morning before she gets out of bed and she will find that the temperature will do this and then it'll drop and go up onto a higher plane and when it drops and goes up onto a higher plane that is a sign that she has begun to ovulate so that usually happens around day 14. so taking the temperature allows her to define it because it might be day 13 or it might be day 14 or 15 it allows her to to define it my daughter jessica when i saw her i said recently it's probably a while ago now she said to me mum you can get a nap on your phone now look at my app and she puts her temperature in to this up on her phone and her app says you're safe you're not safe so that's one thing you can do what's the second sign the second sign is that the the vaginal mucus changes so when when estrogen is high it is not as profuse and it's more white and not as profuse but when progesterone levels rise and this special form of lubricant is produced it's a lot more profuse and it is also clear and stringy so it's a matter of a woman just testing it every day and she can make a chart up on her on her phone on her her computer you can get charts where you monitor it every day and the third sign is that her cervix changes as i've described here so it's a matter of her testing her cervix every day and at first she's got nothing to compare it to but as the weeks and the months go by she starts to see the changes and she will find that those three changes all come together usually for this week here so this third week of the four weeks is usually the ovulation week but those signs will allow her to define it so she says to her husband i'm safe i'm not safe i'm safe this week here now the husband's role is that this month or this week i should say of the month where she is fertile if they they do not want to have a baby then he either masters the art of withdrawal or he uses a condom but that is his responsibility at this time of the month to wear some sort of protection so his wife doesn't fall pregnant my daughter jessica and her husband matthew they were married for nearly four years before baby amethyst appeared how nice for a young couple to have a few years together to get to know each other before the little darlings appear because that can be a challenge especially when the mother's up half the night with the baby who's teething it's very important for the young couple to establish themselves so matthew and jessica had three girls and they were able to choose the time of every girl in fact their last little one she's uh she came about three years after the previous one because the house wasn't quite built and they didn't want to um well they they she fell pregnant and it was aimed for so that while by the time the baby was born they would be in their new house and it happened just like that in fact the baby was born in their new house very nice they had a home birth midwife and she bought a blow up little pool and jessica had her baby baby in the pool how nice but how nice to be able to plan when the when the baby is coming and in that way too the pill can be eliminated one writer in australia claimed that the pill is the mass murder of millions of women yeah and when you realize what i have been showing you here the disruption that that pill causes i i acknowledge that statement so eliminate the pill eliminate hrt when you implement everything that i will be listing here there is no need for hormone replacement therapy remember the body's designed to heal itself and it's also designed to balance itself so the most intelligent way to bring about healing is to work with the body processes eliminate meat and its products if someone says to me but i love medina's products i said well i said it's not very safe today but if you do have to eat it it must be organic but i choose a plant-based diet eliminate the plastics as much as possible i know a lot of ladies go home and start reading their labels when i go into shop if i like the look of a dress the first thing i do is look at the label look at the label what's it made out of what's it made out of go organic as much as possible and get the chemicals out of your homes we've looked at that a few times already so first point to get the balance back is to eliminate anything that could cause a disruption number two is your liver has the ability here's your liver and it has the ability to eliminate excess estrogen and it'll take the estrogen down one of two pathways one pathway is called the hydroxy2 pathway the other pathway is called the hydroxy 16 pathway if the liver takes the estrogen down the hydroxy2 pathway it's out that's what we want but if the liver takes it down the hydroxy 16 pathway it comes back in a hundred times more toxic we don't want that one so what i'm going to show you is the different foods the different herbs that stimulate highway 2 we'll call it highway and inhibits highway 16 and one is the cabbage family and the cabbage family [Music] contain a plant chemical called indoles and indoles are the plant chemical that stimulate highway 2 and inhibit highway 16. so that can be as simple as having something from the cabbage family every day it can be red cabbage green cabbage it can be broccoli cauliflower bok choy brussels sprouts kale they are all cabbage family sauerkraut great way to get your healthy flora back we're going to be looking at that after the break when we go through the gut what also can help stimulate highway 2 and inhibit highway 16 is vitamin b this is vitamin b6 b9 and b12 the highest source of vitamin b is really your raw nuts and seeds and ideally we should all be having a handful after every meal that's not hard they're delicious but if someone's got a hormonal imbalance initially they will need to possibly have a take a supplement also licorice i'm not talking about the candy licorice i'm talking about the herb licorice if you've got high blood pressure forget the licorice because it can get the blood pressure up a little also flaxseed did everyone have their ground flaxseed or chia on their breakfast this morning yeah after hearing how amazing it is yes we had some ground flaxseed on our breakfast this morning flaxseed contains lignans and lignans are a plant chemical that stimulates highway 2 and inhibits highway 16. so point number one is turn the tap off point number two is get rid of that excess estrogen point number three australia makes a cream and it's called the anna's wild yam cream and the anna's wild yam cream contains diosgenin oops forgot an s in there and when the when that cream is applied to the skin the fat cells take up the diastonin it stimulates this pathway and and in stimulating that pathway it boosts the production of progesterone and if you boost progesterone production you will automatically bring the other hormones back into the right level in america you can buy progesterone cream if you apply the progesterone cream it will give you a boost of progesterone but it won't stimulate your body to do it in fact if you keep on it too long too many years your your body can get lazy and even stop producing progesterone i believe that progesterone cream can play a role especially if a woman's having hot flushes every 10 minutes and she's just found out she's got breast cancer well she needs she needs something that will give her a quick boost and certainly the progesterone cream can do that but ideally just to just maybe four months on that then she goes over to the anna's wild yam cream and the anna's wild yam cream because it contains diostenin and your fat cells pick it up it stimulates your own pathway to make your own progesterone and that's why it is ultimately superior so how it is applied is one finger dip and that's just past the nail bed just the tip of your finger i used to say knuckle but then a lady thought that was the first knuckle and used all her cream in one month it should last about three months so i now say that just past the nail bed and you apply it to the inside of your arms one time chest another time abdomen another time inside of thighs another time you alternate your sights of application so it's applied every morning and every evening for three me for three weeks a month so it is applied for these three weeks where the progesterone is rising what if a woman is not menstruating anymore well she just chooses one week of the month where she does not apply it a lot of women choose to apply or choose to eliminate the first or the last week of the month and that it's then it's easy to remember so why would a woman be on the anus wild yam cream she would apply the anaswa yam cream if she had painful periods if she had pair heavy periods if she had pre-meds retention if she had fibroids if she had cysts on the ovaries endometriosis any problem that i have previously described then the yam cream will balance the hormones because it is high estrogen that feeds all of those things anyone with thyroid problems go on the anasyum cream and get that estrogen level down because remember high estrogen opposes thyroid function i've seen several especially women conquer their depression by going on the anna's wild yam cream boosting their happy hormone and then little by little they can ease off the antidepressants i've also seen women begin to apply the cream and sleep better because progesterone does that i meant a 92 year old lady who was on the anna's wild yam cream for her osteoporosis progesterone boosts bone-building cells they're called osteoblast cells osteo meaning bone blast meaning new so progesterone stimulates osteoblast cells so it can help with osteoporosis one lady said i've been on it for a few years now is that a problem i said no can you have too much happy hormone no you can't one lady said thank you for giving me my daughter back when she turned 13 she grew horns after a month on the cream the horns have gone i've had several men say to me thank you for giving me my wife back i didn't give their wife back but the information that they implemented allowed the hormones to once again back into balance how long should a woman be on it at least one year one lady said i was on it for two months and i didn't see any results so i stopped i said two months let's have a look at what's happening so here's the imbalance too much estrogen progesterone deficiency after two months what have we got we're about here where do we want to be here that's where we want to be now it might have taken 20 years to get out of balance but it will not take 20 years to get back into balance but it may take one or maybe a little bit more if you stop after a year and symptoms return what's the body saying a little bit longer please a little bit longer one lady stopped after a year and she started to get hot flushes so she went back on it she stopped after six months no more hot flushes so that's why you're the doctor see see what see what the body says what about a man a man can certainly go on the anna's wild yam cream because remember men and women that both of them their number one hormone is progesterone so why would a man go on it i know one young man went on it because he didn't like being effeminate he wanted to get some more testosterone i also have had several men say to me i like this cream it just puts lead in my pencil excuse the description but i think you know what i mean i've also i had one man came to do our program and he had he was 65 and he had prostate cancer he was getting a three monthly injection and that three monthly injection to balance his hormones was causing him to have hot flushes and he'd developed breasts so he made a decision not to have that injection anymore and to start applying the cream now the application is just a little different for men because men are not cyclic so they don't have a break so they do it non-stop a little bit morning and night every day some men just apply it like aftershave and he's lost weight and she said he's a much nicer husband to be around what an amazing body we live in that has an inbuilt ability to heal itself and to rebalance itself when it's given the right conditions so let's have a look at the menopausal woman she's overweight yes the yam cream will help her to lose weight because it gets that estrogen down she has no desire for sex yes it will help with that she's depressed the boost in progesterone will help her mood but sex is very painful it's very painful when she's intimate with her husband because the cells lining the birth canal are so tender and there's no lubricant well there's something that's becoming very popular that is helping women who are having this problem it's called yoni stones and yoni stones were developed in the chinese dynasty to help the young concubines be sexually toned for the emperor so let me draw the yoni stones so they're made out of nephrite jade which is like a green marble so that's the biggest stone this would be the middle sized stone and then the smaller stone and there are two little holes at the bottom where a little bit of dental floss can be put in for easy extraction because the stone is inserted until it touches the cervix and then a woman wears that stone for one hour a day in the first week two hours a day week two three hours a day week three four hours a day week four five hours a day week five she will not even know it is there that's why she has to leave herself a little reminder because she may forget it is there she starts with the larger stone and after she's been wearing it for five hours a day she can continue with that for say six months of wearing the stone five hours a day and then her pelvic girdle will be so strong internally because that's what it does it's strengthening the pelvic girdle from the inside because her that stone is like a nephrite jane like a marble heavy her her muscles have to hold it and the very action of her muscles holding it strengthens her muscles internally and the very action of those muscles holding that stone increases blood supply to the area and when blood supply is increased to the area then the cells that line the birth canal are nourished and then the glands that produce the the lubricant are revived all because of holding this stone so after six months of the larger stone with her pelvic girdle strong she can go to the middle-sized stone she can wear that five hours a day for six months and go to the smaller stone one lady told me that after six months when she'd she'd been wearing the larger stone and this lady was in her i think late 50s and she went to the middle size her daughter who was her late 30s said mum can i have the biggest eye now because some ladies who haven't had a maybe they've had too much intervention in birth and maybe down below is not working as well as they like the stones will strengthen that pelvic girdle because it's a muscular girdle in fact the pelvic girdle begins at the coccyx bone and goes between the legs and finishes at the the belly button and it's a muscular system and the muscles around every orifice between the legs it's all muscles and muscle knows no age whether you're 9 or 90 you can have strong muscles so this is some of the feedbacks that i have been getting a couple approached me in their late 50s they said we're a little embarrassed to tell you this be warned to tell you that they said thank you for reviving our intimate times the man said because i'm on the yam cream now i am able to perform a little better and the lady said because i've been wearing the stones and applying the cream she said it's no longer painful to be intimate anymore they said thank you you see being intimate is an important part of married life and i meet some couples in their 50s even some in their 60s who've had to stop the man said i i hate to see my wife in pain you know and of course the lady wants to please her husband but it is so painful so the yoni stones have been making a huge difference my daughter jessica remember i said she had her baby in the bath in her new house her midwife was in her 50s and her midwife told her this story she said i recently went to the doctor which terrible discomfort down below and i found out i have a prolapse the prolapse is when the birth when the birth canal is filled up with the uterus the uterus actually drops right down like that incredibly uncomfortable situation you see we're constantly fighting gravity gravity's constantly pushing us down and the best way to strengthen the body is fighting gravity that's why the rebound is so good you keep leaping away from gravity strengthens the whole body her doctor said that he could sew it up and he would use mesh now i don't know whether you've heard of the mesh in some cases it works but in other cases it does not i've had two ladies do our program who had prolapse repairs in their 50s it didn't work now they have the terrible discomfort of not only the prolapse but the mash with it and they had to wait several months before they could finally get back into hospital and the doctor just took the whole uterus out did i complete hysterectomy and when they heard what i'm telling you today they said if only we'd known so jessica's midwife decided she didn't like the sound of the mesh and the operation so she googled prolapses and she discovered the yoni stones so she ordered the oni stones in australia they have to be ordered from america and she started to wear them she went back to the doctor three months later he said i don't understand this but you no longer have a prolapse you see what holds that up is our pelvic girdle it's muscle you can strengthen your pelvic girdle on the outside by rebounding by doing push-ups every day is everyone doing their push-ups every day sit ups strengthen that strengthen your abdominal muscles but from the inside ladies they can use the yoni stones so we have seen many people have a new lease on life by balancing the hormones and if necessary strengthening the pelvic girdle from the inside one lady told me that after hearing this lecture two weeks later she came home and on the on the kitchen table was the little box of yoni stones and her husband said present present for you and you can see by what i've shown you this evening that the imbalance of the hormones can sometimes be the missing link in as to why people are not getting better so i'd like to give everyone a break now so let's have a 20 minute break and when we come back we need we're going to go on our fascinating journey through the gastrointestinal tract fun science videos another question ma'am is [Music] most amazing conversation most amazing transformation as the god of all creation talks with me [Music] there's nothing i won't show him there's nothing i can hide i've never known a burden that was better do [Music] i'm starting now welcome back everyone welcome back everyone we're going to go on a journey now and the journey is going to begin in the mouth and we're going to go all the way through our gastrointestinal tract it's a fascinating journey it's a fascinating process to understand what changes that food on your plate to microscopic little substances that gets absorbed into your blood goes to the liver and then sent to your cell to to nourish your cells so let's begin the journey so we'll the organ we're going to start with is the mouth now the mouth is the only part of the whole of the gastrointestinal tract that we have say over we have say over what goes in we have say over when it goes in whether it's every five minutes or whether it's twice a day we have say over how long it's actually in the mouth is it to choose and swallow or is it chewing chewing chewing until it's well broken down we also have say over the environment that we're eating in and we should not be eating in a stressful environment in fact one writer said cast off care and anxious thought when you sit to dine so we should always eat in a relaxed environment that's why if i ever had a little toddler who cried at the table i quickly picked them up and quickly put them out the back and shut the door [Laughter] and when you only feed them a couple of times a day they're hungry but they soon get the message that if they to stay at the table they must they must not cry my son peter he'd cry he'd cry if his spoon touched the banana in the wrong way or he'd cry if the nut went on the wrong there was peter peter is now tyler and a perfectionist so you often see these character traits coming through in your children and you see the good part of them later so their mouth's the only place we have say over and what goes in when it goes in how it goes in how long it's in the mouth all of that has an effect all the way the gas down the gastrointestinal tract our gastrointestinal tract is a hollow tube and it is not part of us until it gets absorbed into our blood then it becomes part of us so it's a hollow tube but the mouth is the only part again we have say over and it's the only part of the body that has exposed bone and those exposed bone are called teeth and their role is to chew chew chew and there are no teeth in the stomach the mouth's the only part where you have the opportunity to choose so take that opportunity and chew well it's a good idea to put your knife and fork down between mouthfuls we're such a fast society today everything happens so fast that people often don't chew properly now the the worst culprit is my husband because my husband does everything fast he drives his car very fast he does everything fast and by the way i love fast cars i don't mind in fact i was just in germany and i went 220 kilometers on the autobahn that was very exciting that's my husband's dream so when we're eating and you know wives that you never nag because it never does any good so if he's eating very fast i just touch his arm and smile and he goes oh he's a very good husband just needs a little gentle reminder to just to slow down to slow down the eating because those lumps of food that they're not going to be tuned up anywhere else and when you chew your food up you've probably heard the old saying we should drink our food and chew our drinks meaning if the water's a little cold you should keep it in your mouth and warm it a little bit before it goes down and if you chew chew chew very very well till it's almost liquid then that is very easy on the whole of the gastrointestinal tract but something else is happening in the mouth as you're chewing the message is going to the brain oh there's a bit of protein coming oh there's some fats coming oh there's some starch coming and so the brain has the opportunity to contact the other organs and get them ready for what's coming down but if it's choo choo swallow choo choo swallow the other organs are saying what's coming in the brain says i don't know i don't know that i don't know you just have to get ready for everything we don't know what's going to come on down so the chewing is important and the more you chew the more you break up your food the larger surface area there is for the enzymes to work on there are only two foods that actually are broken down or started to the breakdown in the mouth but the ph in the mouth is alkaline and one of the enzymes released in the mouth and we looked at this yesterday remember the sublingual glands under your tongue release lingual lipase and okay students what does lingual lip ice break down saturated fat that's right it's the saturated fat that's the only fat that is broken down in the mouth and it's broken down under the action of lingual lipase there's another enzyme released in the mouth and it's a salivary amylase called thailand and thailand is the enzyme that breaks down starch and yesterday we had a look at how babies don't have that in their mouth until the molars are through so when the molars are through between 14 or maybe 16 sometimes not till 20 months of age babies should not be having starchy foods they shouldn't be having cereals or breads or things like this because they don't have the enzyme to break it down until the molars are through my son james is 43 now he's built like this he's got all these young men that that uh want to look like him because he did it without any um any steroids or anything like that and they all think he's about 33 but he's 43. he's a master builder he plays the pam pipes smart young man no food until he was 16 months of age so he's a little 16 month toddler walking around not it doesn't need any food he was just not interested no i didn't fuss too much because i was a bit of a hippie back to nature lifestyle and i like to like to raise my babies they did in indian villages or in the african villages or in the in the island villages which was very simple and very natural and he was just not interested and it certainly didn't seem to affect his physique or his his mental capacity and a hundred years ago you know babies didn't eat food babies were breastfed sometimes for five years do you know what that means galileo uh rembrandt um bark handle all them all the genie says the masters they didn't eat food too late and i read a newspaper article by some doctor that said if you feed your babies at a young age they'll be smarter that's not true because remember if they don't have teeth they cannot break that food down and so that thailand breaks down starch that's where it all begins now we're going to go through the esophagus and we come to a little double layered gateway there a little valve and it's called the cardiac sphincter and it cause it's called the cardiac sphincter because of its nearness to the heart muscle which is the cardiac muscle and you talk to people at work in emergency they say people come in thinking they have a heart attack but it's actually heartburn because they've got that pain there and what's happening is the stomach acid is coming up into the esophagus and so what those people are usually given is an antacid but what we need to be looking at is why is it coming up and it's usually because that valve is weakened why would it be weakened because the person's eating breakfast like a porpo lunch like a pauper and the king and the queen together at night how many americans do that they're busy all day and then they the large meal and then they lie down and gravity causes the food to come up and weaken that little valve and that little valve looks like this and it's a muscle and when it's relaxed it's closed when it's tightens it opens and so what relaxes muscles is magnesium so we've seen many people conquer reflux or gerds or heartburn by just having most of their food breakfast and lunch and then taking magnesium which will close that muscle also that little cardiac sphincter sits right in the middle of your diaphragm and your diaphragm is a muscle and when you breathe with your abdominal muscles your diaphragm's going in and out so at every breath so it's very important to strengthen your abdominal muscles because that will strengthen that little cardiac sphincter so if someone has reflux or heartburn the doctor will never talk to them about strengthening their abdominal muscles but it is a muscle sitting right in the middle of the the diaphragm muscle so coming down through the esophagus into the stomach so let's have a look at the stomach and i'm sure students you know the ph of the stomach it's acid that's right and it should be acid lining the stomach are big folds like this and those folds are lined with gastric glands and two-thirds of those gastric glands release mucus so that's a thick mucosa lining to protect against the acids that come in through out of the pareto glands so the pareto glands release hydrochloric acid we looked at that a little bit when we looked at the immune system also they release pepsinogen and pepsinogen and hydrochloric acid unite in the stomach to produce pepsin and pepsin is the enzyme that breaks down protein the only food that's broken down in the stomach is protein when we looked at the immune system we had a look at how the hydrochloric acid is anti-fungal antimicrobial antibacterial so it plays a couple of roles in my book self-heal by design you'll notice i have a chapter called the stomach secret weapon hydrochloric acid so if someone says i've got too much acid i say how do you know it keeps coming up well the problem's not the acid the problems the gate or my stomach hurts is it because they're dehydrated because these this mucus that's protecting the stomach wall is 99 water something else is released here and that is the intrinsic factor the intrinsic factor is required for the absorption of vitamin b12 let me give you the vitamin b12 story because it's very misunderstood so let's say my thumb is vitamin b12 it's linked with an r protein and when it gets into the stomach hydrochloric acid causes a release of the r protein from the b12 so now b12 is free the intrinsic factor is also released so here's the intrinsic factor so b12 and intrinsic factor they float together all through the gut until the last part of the small intestine and then intrinsic factor and b12 unite and they're absorbed into the enterohepatic circulation hepatic means liver so you get this circulatory system with the b12 you can have no b12 in your diet for 30 years before you can show a b12 deficiency because it's often just recircled and it's kept in that circulation until you need it so most people that have b12 deficiency it's because they're low in hydrochloric acid or their stomach is so compromised they're not they're not making the intrinsic factor b12 is a bacteria so when you're eating fruit off the vine you're getting a little bit of b12 when you're drinking water out of rainwater tanks you're getting some b12 when you're picking your parsley and you don't wash it you're getting b12 now i do wash my parsley if it's got dirt on it or if there are dogs around absolutely but when you're eating fruit off the tree you just eat it i was picking figs and eating them last week down in alabama and i'd put them into the kitchen and they wanted to scrub them i said what are you scrubbing them for just just they've got no dirt on them obviously if there's dirt you will and my husband does everything fast you should see what his whipper snippet i don't think you call it a whipper snipper weed whacker you should see well he's brutal he's brutal with that you should see what it does to aloe vera plants he's looking in the house to see if i'm watching and then he goes so when he mows and whipper snippers there's a grass over everything i i wash that then so obviously there's a time that you would wash your fruit or your vegetables but as much as possible i try not to in his book proof positive dr neil nedley he's got research there that shows that you can get b12 in organically grown root vegetables so there's your beetroots your yams your chewy sweet potatoes your potatoes meat eaters and non-meat eaters alike can both come down with b12 deficiencies i'm i'm a i i'm on a plant-based diet i don't have b12 deficiency because you can get it in your organic root vegetables and also ensuring that your stomach is working as it should be and you're getting that intrinsic factor everyone should be getting adequate b12 i'm going to tell you the story and it's a true story and i have the book about what happened a man it was probably in the early 1800s and his name was alexis saint-martin and he sustained a gun shop wound to the stomach he was in a trading store and a gun went off and it blew out part of his stomach and his ribs the doctor at the time was dr william beaumont and he was only 25 at the time and he assessed him and said he would not live but they took him to hospital and patched him up the best that they could but alexis and martin did live but when he healed he always had a little hole in his stomach about here and it had like a flap of skin over it and so dr beaumont saw his opportunity and he asked him to come and live with him and he could work a little bit for him but dr bowman wanted to do experiments so he'd get a piece of silk thread put a food on it and put it in the hole two hours later we'd get it out have a look put it back in get it out have a look and and his book which was written in 1833. i have the book amazon amazon found it for me and he has meticulously documented these this research that he did on on alexis and martin's stomach so i'd like to show you what some of his findings were he found that digestion takes three and a half to four hours now obviously if you just have a meal of watermelon it would be quite quick but you know a balanced meal would take three and a half to four hours and then the stomach loves a rest of approximately one hour so that means we should be having five to six hours between meals now the most popular way of eating you know how the way of eating seems to change from month to month to week to week but you've possibly heard of the the 5 2 diet or the intermittent fasting it's also called time restricted eating look up time restricted eating and you know what they advise eating twice in a 24-hour period six hours apart so that's an 18-hour rest and they're finding that this time-restricted eating is helping diabetics it's helping in all manner of diseases weight loss but what they suggest is you eat a main meal at one and then a male meal at seven and one couple who decide to implement this the girl is tall and thin like a beanstalk she said by 10 o'clock she's just about fainting because she she hasn't eaten yet and then and then finally she can eat and then she eats again at seven o'clock and she says hungry she eats too much and she can't sleep at night so it makes so much more sense to do the old adage remember the old adage we should be eating breakfast like a king lunch like a queen and supper like a pauper and sometimes paupers don't eat that's the best time restricted eating but what dr beaumont found with alexis saint martin there were five things that caused the stomach to still have food in it eight hours later and one was if he over ate dr beaumont came to the conclusion there's only so many enzymes released so if too much foods put in the stomach just can't break it all down and so some of the food can still be in the stomach eight hours later also if he often ate if he if he ate every couple of hours he found that eight hours later there's still even a little bit of breakfast in there have you ever had a job to do that's gonna take two hours and you keep getting interrupted keep getting interrupted the phone rings someone comes and then the job that would usually take two hours is going to take five or six hours that's exactly what happens in the stomach put the food in and leave it be let it do its job and it's going to take three and a half to four hours to do its job and then you're not going to faint from starvation because as you'll find as we go through most through this most of the stomach is absorbed down in the small intestine so even when the stomach's empty you're still getting an absorption of nutrients there he also found that if he had large fluid with the meal it slowed down digestion and the reason is that the stomach needs to be acid to break down the protein the combination of pepsinogen and hydrochloric acid connecting together only happens in an acid environment and pepsin only works in an acid environment we should be drinking approximately eight glasses of water a day and we should stop half an hour before the meal and we should resume drinking about an hour and a half to two hours after the meal if someone's thirsty after a meal by all means have a mouthful or two that's not going to make a huge difference it's more the large fluid with the meal what dr beaumont found is that digestion stops and the stomach has to get that water out and get the ph back you know get it back to that low ph and then start digesting again he also found that if he had alcohol with the meal it always delayed digestion and if he was stressed and the only fine the only time dr beaumont found that alexis and martin got annoyed with this string going in and out of his stomach all the time is if he'd had alcohol the day before then he'd be more irritable every now and then dr beaumont because alexis and martin lived till he was 80 he married had a job and every now and then william beaumont would telegram him and say please come and stay i'll put you in a nice house i'll put your children through school i just want to do a few more experiments on you he also would sometimes extract the gastric juice out put it into vials put some rotten meat in he found it dealt with it even rotten meat so the people that get food poisoning are usually people with low hydrochloric acid i'm not suggesting we eat rotten food so how can we boost our hydrochloric acid how can we boost our intrinsic factor there are a few things you can do the juice of a lemon just before the meal can certainly help cayenne pepper quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in just a little water just before the meal will help but we have a herb tea we affectionately call it dig tea digestive tea and this is a bitter tea that we give hot to our guests just before the meal and it'll boost boost digestion and it's one part licorice licorice is pneumonian so it helps to coat and soothe the stomach it's one part dandelion dandelion is a very bitter herb it's one part gentian jensen's an incredibly bitter herb the bitter herbs are also liver herbs and half a part of and seal remember we looked at this earlier in the week king of tonics to all mucus membranes it's also bitter so you put all of that in a jar there this this these are all roots so you you buy the roots and then the the recipe to make the tea is one teaspoon of the herbs and one teaspoon of fresh ginger and that will be to two cups of water and that has a gentle simmer for about 10 minutes because whenever you've got herbs you have to give them a gentle simmer now we go to the second hand shops and buy old coffee percolators you know they're glass and you can boil your herbs very nicely in those and the dose is a third of a cup of this tea hot just before each meal so the heat stimulates the release of the gastric glands and the bitter the bitter in the mouth is already causing a release down here we had a lady do our program who had been on digestive enzymes for years and she got back to me a few months after she'd finished the program she said i've been taking your digestive tea and my digestion is better now than all those years on those those enzymes you keep putting digestive enzymes in the the body can just about stop making them we've got to work with the body so to heal the stomach make sure you eat only two meals a day if you eat a third it needs to be very light chew very well and if your stomach acid you feel is a little low you can take the the bitter tea so the enzyme that breaks down protein is pepsin and it's produced by the combination of hydrochloric acid and the pepsinogen that's the only food that gets broken down in the stomach so now we're going to go through a little valve here called the pyloric sphincter and we're going to come into the duodenum the duodenum is the per is the first part of the small intestine and in the duodenum it's an alkaline environment now there's a few things happening in the duodenum the liver makes bile and stores it in the gallbladder that's the gall bladder there and you'll see the bile duct comes down and connects with the neck of the pancreas so let's look at the liver first your liver is a reservoir to hold the bile if someone has their gallbladder taken out the liver is still making bile it just goes straight down the bile duct and in into and feeds into the duodenum so what's the enzyme it's bile and bile breaks down unsaturated fats because your saturated fats they're broken down in the stomach sorry they're broken down in the mouth so that's basically what the liver does what about the pancreas pancreas does quite a bit in fact most people are surprised at all the things that the pancreas does pancreas is an alkaline environment i mean the duodenum is out environment one of the ways pancreas helps is it releases sodium bicarb and that sodium bicarb is your your ultimate alkalizer so the pancreas releases sodium bicarbonate so that that helps this environment to become alkaline because when the food comes out it's mixed with the acid from the stomach so it needs something to bring it to an alkaline environment but the pancreas it also releases pancreatic lipase and remember lipase is an enzyme that breaks down fats but pancreatic lipase further breaks down the unsaturated fats so the unsaturated fats are first worked on by the bile and then further worked on by the pancreatic lipase the pancreas also releases pancreatic amylase now do you remember the uh the other amylase that we looked at thailand that's the salivary amylase so the pancreatic amylase it finalizes the starch digestion so starch digestion begins in the mouth it's put on hold in the stomach in that acid environment but when it comes down into the duodenum in the alkaline environment with the release of pancreatic amylase that's finalizing the starch digestion the pancreas also releases trypsin and trypsin is an enzyme that finalizes protein digestion remember where the protein digestion began in the stomach and chymotrypsin that is another enzyme that helps to finalize protein digestion now it's going to get easier now this might sound all a little complicated but i've made it as simple as possible looking at this students which organ is the main organ of digestion the pancreas because look what the pancreas does the fat the starch the protein and if someone gets pancreatic cancer have you noticed they're often dead in two weeks you've noticed that and you know why they die they die of malnutrition do you remember what i said that anything that goes into your gastrointestinal tract it's in a hollow tube it's not part of you in fact we're coming to the grand finale of digestion in a minute it's not part of you until it gets absorbed into the blood then it is part of you and so someone with pancreatic cancer they're not finalizing digestion so they basically aren't getting any nutrients into the into the blood and unfortunately they pass very quickly so let me show your protein here's protein let's say that's what protein looks like now the pepsin in the stomach breaks the protein down to peptides and polypeptides the peptides and the polypeptides come down into the duodenum and trypsin and chymotrypsin break the peptides down to amino acids and the polypeptide down to amino acid and peptide and then amino acids that's how it happens now let's say the person's drinking with their meals they're eating all day long and they're stressed out with the meals and so there are some proteins that don't get broken down and they come down into the duodenum and the pancreas says what are you doing here and the protein says sorry they're drinking with their meals sorry they're they're eating all day long and chips and and try mo trips and said well we'll do the best we can but sometimes they can only get it down to pepsin and poly sorry peptide and polypeptide and they can't be absorbed they can only be be absorbed as singular molecular structures so most of our food is absorbed halfway down the small intestine so what happens is they're getting into the large intestine and the large intestine says what are you doing here and the peptides and the polypeptides say they're drinking with their meals they're eating all day long the the pancreas did the best it could and so now the colon has to create a lot of big bacteria to try and break it down and ah that causes a lot of wind methane gas you've heard of it so many people that have a lot of wind and gas you'll often find they don't chew their food properly or they're drinking with their meals or they're eating all day long or they're stressed with their with with with the meal remember what i said the stomach the mouth's the only place we have say over we have say over what goes in we have say over when it goes in we have say over how long it's in their mouth we say over have saved the environment because stress just kills hydrochloric acid production the pepsin and the trypsin and the chymotrypsin are proteolytic enzymes so proteolytic enzymes are enzymes that break down protein and god in his wisdom and mercy has put some in nature so the core of the pineapple contains bromelain and bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme now you don't have to eat the core of pineapple every meal in fact when anyone cuts up a pineapple and they cut out the core to throw away i went i go ah they'd throw it away in fact when you're cutting up a pineapple keep that little bit of core in every slice it's a bit tough but it's only a tiny little bit that people get that are tough then they can have the nice sweet rest of it but if you want to take bromeline to help as a proteolytic enzyme you can buy it as a supplement and the other is papain so papain is found in the papaya or the purple and you can buy that you can buy those two as supplements so anyone with pancreatic cancer they should be having those supplements every meal and that will help somewhat to break down their food and now we're coming to the grand finale of digestion lining the small intestine are villi and these villi look like this and up the middle of the villi is lacteal and that's part of your lymphatic system and you remember when we looked at the unsaturated fats yesterday they get absorbed straight into the lymphatic system and then all over the villi all through through inside is the blood capillary network and lining the villi is a thick turf wall and that's made up of lactobacillus acidophilus bifidus bacterium so it's a thick turf wall that lines the gastrointestinal tract in the small intestine and when we were in our mother's womb our gut was sterile but when we were born we were literally showered with our mother's microorganisms i was watching a show on the gut and it was interviewing a a obstetrician and he said we always thought god made a mistake putting the birth canal and the anus so close so he said we always used to give women enemas to get anything out of the colon because when the birth canal stretches so does the anus and they always thought we don't want anything out of there getting anywhere near the baby but you know what this obstetrician said we now know it's a perfect design because when that birth canal opens and the baby comes out and the air hits the baby and the baby goes its first breath is laden with the air coming out of the colon and as the baby swallows that air is full of the uh lactobacillus all the air coming out of the colon notice what the obstetrician said a perfect design now what else is happening is when the baby has the when the baby has the colostrum milk doesn't come into a woman's breast for three days after birth what's in her breast for the first three days is a thick creamy yellowy substance called colostrum and that colostrum is rich in fatty acids rich in cholesterol rich in saturated fats for the developing brain how important is that just as important for the baby as it is for people in their latter days the coconut the avocados the nuts are so important but also it's rich in the uh the microbes the lactobacillus acidophilus bifidus is bacterium they're the two permanent bacterias that line the gastrointestinal tract i was talking to a farmer and he said that if we get a little calf and the and the cow dies in childbirth he said we often will squeeze the teats of the cow that just died to just get that cholesterol into the baby because it's so important in fact he said if we if we don't do that we may as well put that calf down because it will never be strong it'll never be any good if it doesn't get that colostrum or he said we'll look for another cow that not long had a calf and put the calf onto that that's how important it is they have found that when babies are born by us via caesarean section often the baby's gut has skin flora in it because the baby at those first breaths didn't get the get what's coming out of the colon interesting so for babies born by a cesarean section what the mother should do is paint her nipple with some lactobacillus acidophilus powder first feed every day to just help that baby it's also another reason why the mother should not have antibiotics in pregnancy because if she does it will knock her knock out her not all of it but it will compromise her gut flora so that when her baby is born her baby will get a compromised gut flora so the gut flora is so important let me show you why so this gut flora called our microbiome you've probably heard it called or you're healthy or your friendly bacteria it's responsible for the final breakdown of the food now you can see that the most broke down has happened all here but that it's the final touches and these bacteria cause a release of the b vitamins from the food also it's responsible for the absorption of those nutrients out of the gut and into the blood that gut flora protects and we looked at the protection part when we looked at the immune system that gut those microbes also play a protective role and they also are responsible for the nourishment of the cells that line the gastrointestinal tract the cells that line the gastrointestinal tract are remade every about five to six days that's why it's the easiest easiest thing in the world really to repair a gut but part of repairing the gut is giving it the right conditions and and a person is not going to heal in three to five days because the cells that line the gut are often in a habit because you know our body we're creatures of habits so are our cells so what would cause a compromise of that antibiotics kill off the gut flora statin drugs kill off the cut gut flora many drugs kill off the gut flora long-term painkiller use kills off the gut flora what have we got now we've got a compromise in the final breakdown we've got a compromise in what's being absorbed we've lost part of our protection and the cells aren't getting the nourishment let me show you something that happens with we talked yesterday about the very complex protein structure that was produced in the hybridization of the wheat and when a person eats that wheat it breaks down in the gut to something called gluto morphine what's morphine it's an opiate derivative and if a person may be like me who cannot handle dairy would to eat dairy then because i can't break it down properly it's broken down to caseo morphine so let's say that this is this is uh this is what we're going to draw for glutomorphine so there's the morphine and caseomorphine is going to look like this now these cells that are sitting here with a nice gut flora are very happy cells but these cells here they're very unhappy cells because they're not getting the nourishment from the gut flora so glutomorphine comes along here and that help healthy cell can knock off the morphine so that only gluto gets in but this unhealthy cell cannot knock off the morphine and so glutomorphine gets in that's taken by the blood up to the opiate receptor sites in the blade in the brain and this is one of the reasons why wheat is a contributing factor to mental illness today as is the as is the dairy in her book uh gut and psychology natasha campbell mcbride she shows this and she says that she's getting she's getting people recovering from mental illness by stopping the wheat and the dairy and building of the gut and in his book grain brain dr david perlmutter who's a neurologist he quotes psychiatrists who are getting 50 improvement in their patients schizophrenia severe depressed by stopping the wheat and the dairy so can you see there's a few things happening here it's the it's the type of milk that's being sold today and again many guts can't handle it but it's also the type of wheat that's being used today and we've looked at that in some previous presentations so the million dollar question is how can we heal this and we touched yesterday on the cultured foods this is where the cultured foods play such an important role and the cultured foods can come in and build up build up and repopulate that gut flora so there's your miso there's your yogurts there's your sauerkrauts they can help to rebuild it and you can buy probiotic if you buy a probiotic make sure it is a plant-based probiotic and that certainly can help to build up the gut flora you've heard of prebiotics prebiotics feed the healthy bacteria where do you get prebiotic biotics you get it in all your vegetables especially your dark green leafies it's all that fibre hippocrates called the father of medicine he said all disease begins in the gut and i don't think he knew the extent of that with what i have shown you here so there's the grand finale of digestion where everything should be absorbed in and through so remember most of the food is absorbed by the time you're halfway down the small intestine then we come down to the end of the small intestine and we've got the iliocecal valve here and it's a double layered one too because we don't want anything from here going back into there but ah look at this tiny little organ called the appendix does god make mistakes never the appendix has two important roles one is it's called the the colons oil can so it lubricates the contents of the colon the second role is it releases antibacterial fluid so that if what's coming out of the small intestine is toxic then it'll release antibac fluid antibacterial fluid to try and help calm it down to keep us alive by the time it comes out what what would cause something to come out of here to be toxic when meat breaks down it putrefies and what's and that petrificent process is toxic when vegetables break down they ferment that is not as toxic as the putrification process and if someone's having a lot of alcohol if they're having a lot of sugar that feeds the putrification process you see dogs their gastrointestinal tract is about a yard long our gastrointestinal tract is eight yards long so with dogs and their strong hydrochloric acid six times the hydrochloric acid that we have they can actually handle eating all of that meat even rotten meat but human beings it's such a long gastrointestinal tract that that animal food by the time it's coming out of here is usually quite putrid now the only way you can get away with it or a lot of people do is they've got to eat a lot of vegetables a lot of vegetables to move it through quickly i personally choose to eat a plant-based diet and then it starts to move through here one of the main functions of the colon is to take water out so stools are formed so that that the liquid you see when it comes out of the small intestine it's mostly liquid so by the time it comes down here now it's got form dr kellogg very famous doctor who wrote many books on health he said three intakes of food a day should equal three evacuations a day he said if someone's eating three meals a day and they're going once a day they're constipated so what can you do if a person is only going once a day or going once every second day well you would investigate and make sure they're drinking adequate water make sure they're on a plant-based diet with all that lovely fibre castoral compresses on the abdomen maybe overnight that penetrates through and can help to break up you see all the little foals in here what fiber does is not only does it sweep the column but it gently stimulates movement through the colon but if the person still isn't going regularly there is a herb mix that we make we call it colon tea and colon tea the herbs in the coal and tea gently stimulate peristalsis so it's one part cascara cascara sagrada which is a which is a a bark two-part licorice licorice is a root and three-part buckthorn buckthorn is a relative of cascara it's not as bitter and it's not as harsh and it is also a bark so you buy those dried and you mix them together and the recipe is one cup of herbs one cup of herbs to one cup of water and because they're roots and barks they need about a 10 minute gentle simmer and the dose is well at our retreats i i frequent a retreat in alabama it's called living springs i'll actually be there in a week and a half running a program and we give our guests a cup of this at night now if our guests usually go four times a day we don't give them anything because the first two days are juicing days but if they go once a day we use we usually give them a cup if they go twice a day we'll give them half a cup of this and what we find is that they just go like they usually go because if you're on juices for two days there's no fibre so what these herbs do is they gently stimulate peristalsis we had one lady come who was a psychologist and she went once a week with help i said we'll get things moving we did the castrol on her abdomen and she needed three cups of tea a day one in the morning one in the middle of the day and one at night and that got her moving she was so excited when she went home the eye whites of her eyes started to go white her skin became a different color so sometimes the colon needs a little bit of help to get back into the right habit of going every day but what if someone's going too much then they can take the powdered bark of the slippery elm tree and slippery on coats soothes and heals the lining of the gut so if someone's going has diarrhoea and they're going six times a day my suggestion is take it before each meal and take it before bed it coats soothes and heals the lining of the gut so that's a wonderful wonderful healer for irritable bowel crohn's disease colitis but at the same time that person must stop those five allergen foods remember the five allergens the peanuts dairy hybridized wheat oats and refined sugar and we've we've seen so many heal which is very nice and now we come down to this see this little muscle here this little muscle is called puborectalis and it holds up the last part of the colon and we're very glad of that because that prevents accidents so let me show you what happens with this here's the throne and here's the person sitting on the throne and the person sitting on the throne can certainly do their daily evacuation but pubertalis is still holding the end up but if the person sits on the throne and they put a little stool before the throne so that when they sit on the throne their knees are up and they're in the squatting position that relaxes pubertalis and when puborectalis is relaxed the colon opens so it allows the colon to basically open right up and the contents are able to be passed with great ease it also takes all the pressure off the anus and with a lot of pressures put on that anus that's when hemorrhoids happen if someone has hemorrhoids it's often because they're constipated and there's too much pressure there or if they're not going as much as they think they should they force it out don't don't do that now you can go to bed bath beyond bed bath and beyond and buy squatty potty and it's a stool that wraps around the toilets who enable the squatting position so that can prevent hemorrhoids and it can also heal hemorrhoids in india in asia in mexico in africa in many countries i've been in a lot of the toilets a hole in the ground it's all tiled and flush but traditionally that's the way people have always done their daily evacuation is squatting so now now that science has shown us the importance of it and the relaxing of the pubertalis muscle then they've come up with squatty potty that can be wrapped around the toilet so what can you do for hemorrhoids you can make some suppositories that can be very healing for the hemorrhoids and one suppository that can be made is out of aloe vera so you cut the leaf and then you peel it so you've just got the thick gel from the inside and you cut it into strips about the size of your little finger and freeze it and then just before you go to bed you'll take your freeze and frozen piece of aloe vera and insert it up into the anus it can only be done if it's frozen because then it's stiff the other one is the castor oil suppository and you'll get a cotton ball about this size and you'll moisten it with castor oil and you'll form it into the shape of the little finger and freeze it but it'll take about three days to freeze and when it's frozen then that can be inserted as a suppository just before going to bed at night in the morning with the daily evacuation they'll they will come away but that's they are a couple of things you can do to uh to help heal hemorrhoids and also bring relief and so ends our journey through the gastrointestinal tract so we have 15 minutes left to take a few questions yes okay so so the the question is this elderly lady is starting to have bowel incontinence now i'm going to go back to my last lecture on the yoni stones and i'm going to draw for you our pelvic girdle here's the belly button and there's the coccyx there's the anus there's the birth canal and there's the urethra and it's a muscular system and the muscles are around like this so when a woman wears the yoni stone in the middle one it automatically strengthens the whole of the pelvic girdle so if a woman's incontinent whether it be her her bowel or whether it be her urinary system wearing the yoni stone strengthens that whole area and so that that can help to strengthen those muscles because it's muscular also rebounding the little mini trampoline jumping on the rebounder will strengthen all of those muscles so there's a couple of things that she can do i was just wondering about barrett's esophagus and the cardiac sphincter being gone actually gone gone like they've scoped and there's no evidence of the cardiac sphincter anymore no card no cardiac sphincter and and they were just diagnosed with barrett's esophagus so they've been on years and years and years of antacids and if they don't take that i mean the pain is unbearable and so i didn't know if you could actually supplement with this stuff and if it would even help if there's no yeah i think i think i'd take slippery elm slip you know if there's any ulceration there that slippery on coats and soothes that they would have to chew very very well and they would probably have to eat probably four very small meals a day but very light meals so you'd play with that a little bit there's a question here you're very awesome by the way in the morning i'll repeat it i'll repeat it oh here we are thank you i'm saying you're awesome very awesome by the way thank you um in the morning if you get up and you drink tea like earl grey tea but you put some milk in it and honey but then you eat your first meal approximately 12-ish then your second meal six or seven in the evening does that work okay or would you suggest eating something solid in the morning yeah the the uh a lot of people aren't hungry in the morning because they ate too much at night but if you see my habit is i wake at five i exercise at six and i eat at seven and by then i i'm very hungry and i don't often eat at night if i eat anything at night it will be very very light so it's just changing it around because the problem with eating a large meal at night when that sun goes down even though we're in a room of lights our body knows it's dark everything slows down so you digest food far better in in the morning then at night okay and my other question was are you using honey instead of sugar yes it breaks down honey is better than sugar but personally when i drink herb teas i don't i just have the herb tea i love the flavour of the herb and my last short question you mentioned the interval training run very hard for 30 seconds what do you do after that stop or just walk just walk or just walk so the best recovery is is not doing nothing but just doing things slowly okay for another 30 seconds no it's usually 90 seconds is recovery you'll know because your your breathing will go back to normal thank you very much so i have a friend that um has a bit of a stressful job and he um has problem digesting his food and he's gotten in the habit of taking a lot of digestive enzymes and you mentioned that a little bit that it was okay but then you also mentioned kind of not getting dependent on that could you get into a little more detail that's right if someone's been on digestive enzymes for a year i say are they working what we're going to do is we've got to stimulate the body to make its own and that that tea that i gave you it stimulates the the digestive enzymes if someone's very stressed they've got a stressful day and they're very hungry they're better to have a smoothie they're better to have something light because they're just not going to be able to digest very well but also if someone's in a very stressful environment i say you've got to address that you know we shouldn't have a highly stressful life where you know if work's too stressful do you go to part-time work do you start you're looking for another job or you've you know um that that needs to be addressed so um would you then stop the the digestive enzymes and do the tea or back off on it how would you address that yeah um you could do the tea you could back off you could try cayenne pepper you could try getting rid of stress eating in a in a relaxed environment if i get a phone call in the middle of my meal i say i'm sorry but i'm busy it's very important this meal and then what are your thoughts on vitamins like on supplementation with vitamins i don't take any supplements but i endeavor to eat mostly organic your organic food gives you so many more vitamins and minerals and a lot of vitamins you know a lot of pharmaceutical companies make make vitamin tablets so here are the drugs and here are the vitamin tablets if you are going to have vitamin and mineral supplements i prefer liquid ones and you would have to investigate that they're organic and that they actually are coming from natural state alfalfa tea yep it's not very nice but put some ginger in it to be alright i have two questions uh what is the treatment for osteoporosis that is now in the fracture phase um now you can see by my last lecture that the anesweil yamcreen boosts bone building cells you'd also have to have a look that the person's not taking any teas or coffees or anything that would leach the and sugars that would leach the minerals out and start to build up their bones one of the best bone building exercises is uh rebounding okay this gentle rebounding okay and the second one is treatment for restless legs especially uh severe at night treatment for restless legs is doing some very very intense leg exercises dr neil nedley he says about an hour on the exercise bike going for it a couple of times a day or rebounding so exercises that really move those legs plus before you go to bed you can have an epsom salts bath because epsom salts is magnesium sulfate and magnesium and the heat both relax relax the legs or you can get magnesium oils and rub them on the legs before bed i was wondering what the tonsils do i've okay the tonsils are a very important organ in the body the tonsils are the watchmen at the gate now if the watchman's screaming out because the enemy's coming do you shoot the watchman if the tonsils are inflamed it's because there's a problem and it's usually an allergy to usually those five allergens causing those tonsils to to rise up in china they never heard of tonsillitis until the wealthy chinese started to eat peanuts sweet dairy and now the chinese children that are eating the food of the westerners are getting just as much tonsillitis the tonsils are part of the lymphatic system and they are the only part of the lymphatic system that that throws its waist straight out which you know you cough out so please try and keep your tonsils yeah i have two questions and probably the first one might have been answered already but i wasn't here but um sukanat vs coconut sugar uh are are they both refined sugars or neither of them are refined they're unrefined sugars they're both so they're okay your soucon nut is really just um dehydrated uh cane sugar juice so it's still good all the minerals okay and then um second one um i have a niece her hair she's only two years old and her hair is already having split ends um could that be a result of um like the water that they drink because um even her sisters like they they would have split ends on their hair even though they haven't really used um what do you call that curling iron or something like that i guess i'd i'd look at the shampoo there using you know split ends can happen if i left my hair out all day and used used a shampoo this is the shampoo that you should never this is something that you should make sure is not in your shampoo sodium lauryl sulfate sodium lauryl sulfate is a toxic chemical and they use it to make the shampoo foam up so that's what i'd look at is um is things like that i have a question on progesterone um you said um we i was wondering if there's a test you talked about a testosterone test is there one for you the only test that's accurate is the saliva test and not many will do not many doctors do the saliva test the blood test is not accurate because all the hormones in the blood at any given time are not all biologically active okay um and then i wanted to know does it also affect men's moods like women absolutely if progesterone levels are good that's a happy person i've got a question about the bragg's apple cider apple cider vinegar does that qualify as regular vinegar it's really good on tinier you know on the toes athlete's foot okay um the the apple cider vinegar is a step better than the you know the the white vinegar you buy but i still personally don't use them i have a question about the use of mushrooms in our diet okay mushrooms are a fungi if someone has cancer i'd say keep away from the mushrooms if someone has a yeast or fungal problem in their body i'd say keep away from the mushrooms but other than that to have mushrooms sometimes i don't think it's a big deal we don't use them at our health center but if i go out for dinner with friends and there's a mushroom dish i might eat it i have a question what do you think could be done with gastroparesis okay so what are bit more this happens usually when a patient has diabetes hmm i've not heard that yeah i'd probably need to know a little bit more about the person okay it's like a paralysis of the stomach yep you'd
