anyplace we have say over there aren't so I'd like to take you on a journey tonight I'd like to take you on a journey through your gastrointestinal tract I'm going to show you what happens to the food that was on your plate at lunch time what happens to it to break it down to microscopic little substances that only then can be absorbed into your blood you see anything that goes into our gut is not part of us it's not part of you or me it's a hollow tube it's actually an external environment it's not part of you on me until it gets broken down to tiny little substances absorbed into the blood and what's the blood called the life of the flesh when it gets into the blood then it becomes part of you and me so let us begin with the mouth so the first organ we're going to be looking at is the mouth we don't often think of that as an organ of digestion but when you think about it the mouth is the only part of our gastrointestinal tract where we have say over what goes in we have say when it goes in whether it's every five minutes or every hour or every five hours we am say over how it goes in in other words are we in a relaxed environment or are we stressed out we have say over how long it's actually in the mouth is that right and you know the mouth is a very important organ of digestion and part of ensuring that it's working is that you're choo choo choo got that because there are no teeth in your stomach it's very important to chew the food down to tiny tiny little substances what that does is that gives a greater surface area for the digestive enzymes to work on and it also means that it's going to make it easier for the rest of organs in your gastrointestinal tract so it's very very important to chew now there's two foods that start their breakdown in the mouth and the mouth is an alkaline environment then one enzyme is called Thailand Thailand is a saliva amylase and Thailand breaks down starch or another word for starch is carbohydrates so what would starches be that would be your breads cakes biscuits cereals pasta there were your starches potatoes now Thailand is not present in the human mouth until the molars are fully throughing so when a baby's born they don't have teeth and then usually around 7 months teeth start to appear and it's that four at the top and the four at the bottom and they're called milk teeth do you know why they're called milk teeth because that should be baby baby's main food milk and traditionally for thousands of years it's always been milk it's also taste time this is when you can isn't baby tasting everything at that time aren't they crawling babies on the floor and what do they do they'll eat a fly something though they any little dot on the floor you have to be careful not to let any of the bigger brothers leggo be on the floor in fact I remember changed my baby's nappy do you call it a nappy or a diaper she's about eight months old there was a Gumnut a pink crown and green crayon and a bit of grass whether you choose for them to have taste time or not its taste time and that is a good time to give them a stick of celery and now suck away on that for a while or a stick of cucumber oh and now suck away on that for and they might take half an hour to get through about a centimeter yeah it's taste time their main food should be milk because there the milk teeth now the next teeth that come through other molars they come through back here and what are the molars do grind what are we grind grain when the molars are through then and only then did the Glens release thailand do you know what that means babies have no ability to break down starch until their molars are through when's that 14 to 20 months of age what a mother's told to give their babies at 4 to 6 months of age rice-cereal Sarah in fact a mother will say my baby's not sleeping through the night and the nurse might say give the baby a little bit cereal even evening and they might sleep through sleep through their not doubt they've got this big lump in their stomach that they can't digest it defies reason doesn't a totally defies reason do you know is one of the reasons why so many people have got problems today there were fed starched too young as babies now if you look in the back of my book you'll see my children and you'll see my sons mm-hm built like this and my biggest son he's the eldest but he works out he's big he ain't no food till he was 16 months of age now you never hear such a thing now do well obviously didn't affect his development he's a master builder so it obviously didn't affect his brain now let me tell you a story about a lady who contacted me she contacted me when her baby was 11 months old her baby had diary her baby had rashes I found out her baby was very preemie for months preemie he was little so she's feeding him heaps of food to build him up cakes bread pastor I said how many teeth is he good she said - I said stop stop stop all grains and I explained to her about the tile it makes sense doesn't it you see when you think about it babies shouldn't eat till they can sit - leykin get the food put it in their mouths and they've got teeth to chew it that's just basic common sense isn't it and you know it's not very common today she said what will I feed him I said is he breastfed yes I said that should be his main food and then he's used to food so after the breast feed you can give him a banana or an apple or you can give him what I used to do is steam up a little broccoli steamed up a little bit of cauliflower half stem bit of carrot then they look at it and they see the color they taste it they taste the texture you see when you mash it all up together they don't know what they're getting are you interested in lying in your back and being fed slop Martin and babies aren't interested either we make them interesting remember they'll eat anything as we just said they'll made a caterpillar one lady said but my baby's grabbing for the food I said she'll grab for anything so back to this girl do you know the rash settled right down the diarrhea settled right down everything was going much better she emailed me the babies 14 months of age she said Barbie the baby stopped stopped eating or food I said oh so what do I do I put the detective head on why why has the baby stopped food as anything happened ah oh he's teething do you know they're not themselves when they tease alright I said don't worry about it she said but he'd started to crawl and he stopped cruel now he's 14 months but remember who's very preemie I said they're worried about it when the teeth come through he'll eat again and he'll crawl again she mobbed me back a few days later she said what if he brain damage from not eating food I said what where's this coming from brain damaged did God made a mistake with that milk no he changed it changes if the baby's three months are different to win the baby six months six months is different to when the baby's nine months yeah it's perfect he doesn't make mistakes I said he's not gonna get brain damage breast milk is perfect then her father contacted me he's a scientist at Loma Linda University he said I'm very concerned about my grandson we believe that he may his brain might stopped clapping I said why would you think that he said well he's not getting food I said did you know that a hundred two hundred three hundred four hundred years ago babies didn't eat food do you know what that means Galileo Einstein Mozart Bach Handel they didn't get food to lower two or three or four and did it affect their brains brilliant brains he said well we think the baby should go to the hospital and be tested I said tested how are they going to test the baby take blood how traumatic that gonna be for the baby and what if they say breast milks not enough how they gonna feed him hold him down and put a funnel down his own oh they'll put a drip in and fit how traumatic will that be for the baby or an IG tube down the Mersey mercies the word the wall went quiet for a while can you see you've got to take your fears to the nth degree what's your fear that's what I said the baby's teething yeah yes settle down he's getting breast milk getting heaps anyway a month later the mother emails me are the teeth are through and he's eating food and he's scrolling again the grandfather or her father emailed me or thank you how can I repay your can I give you something I said off you won $400 it went into my account he was a very thankful can you see how we've got to use common sense mm-hmm and you see this baby's four months preemie he's not gonna be crawling or doing anything when most babies are but you know when they're all five you'll never know isn't that true now this is a message that is so important women need to know this parents need to know this because it's affecting the development of human guts something else is broken down in the tongue underneath its are in the mouth underneath the tongue there are sublingual glands that release lingual lipase and lingual lipase is an enzyme that breaks down saturated fat so short and medium chain fatty acids so your best saturated fat is the coconut the coconut is a remarkable oil the breakdown begins in the mouth they're the only two that start in the mouth so important to choose so those enzymes have a good surface area to break down now we come through the esophagus this area here through the cardiac sphincter into the stomach let's discuss the cardiac sphincter for a moment have you heard of heartburn or what do they also call it reflux acid reflux acid coming up what are people given when they get acid reflux and essence okay do you know the stomach is acid you know why it has to be because that's the only way the foods can get broken down and if someone says to me I've got a very acid stomach us a fantastic this is very good means your proteins gonna get broken down but then I would say how do you know it's acid what's coming up is the problem the acid the problems the gate it's called the cardiac sphincter and it actually has two valves they're designed to keep the acid here so it won't go up there it's one of those valves that doesn't go backwards so why would acid be coming up put the question marker well in Australia and America maybe Bermudez the same most people eat breakfast like a pauper lunch like a pauper and the teas that keep all the supper dinner is king and the Queen together is that right and then they fall asleep in the easy chair and they go to bed and they've got a stomach full of food now what's it going to do to that cardiac sphincter it's going to push it and it weakens us and that cardiac sphincter is a muscle and when it's tight it opens when it's relaxed it's closed so stress stress can open it if it's weakened so very simple ways to heal a reflux is to eat breakfast like a king lunch like a queen and your dinner your supper is a pauper bhasu maybe smoothie and take magnesium because what does magnesium do to muscles little access them what if the person has already got irritation up here well there's a herb called slippery elm have you heard of it slippery elm is the powder bark up the slippery elm tree and it coats and soothes the lining so take it just before you go to bed at night and while you're sleeping with your empty stomach and your magnesium closing that valve that that slippery elm is coated and it starts healing the line of the gastrointestinal tract it is as simple as that now let's enter into the stomach the lining of the stomach looks like this big falls big falls and those Falls are lined with gastric glands and those gastric glands 3/4 of them release mucus and what that does is that causes a thick mucosa wall to line the stomach and there's a reason for that because in these little parental glands down here they release hydrochloric acid and they also release pepsinogen and in a very acid environment hydrochloric acid and pepsinogen unite and produce pepsin and pepsin is the protein protein breakdown are so pepsin breaks down protein but if a person is drinking with their meals they water down their hydrochloric acid and they can bring a 2.5 ph up to 3.5 ph and in a 3.5 ph that connection doesn't happen and pepsin can't work is it a habit in Bermuda certainly is in Australia and America drinking with the meals in fact digestion has to stop the stomach has to get rid of the fluid to bring the pH back up to nice and acid so this can happen now hydrochloric acid in my book I have a chapter called the the stomach secret weapon you know what the stomach secret weapon is hydrochloric acid because hydrochloric acid not only connects with pepsinogen to produce pepsin to break down protein hydrochloric acid is antifungal antibacterial so if any little bit of yeast might be on the food that you eat and sometimes you don't know it'll wipe it out isn't that good news so the only way really the only people that get food poisoning certainly if someone eats rotten food they can but if they're if the person's got nice strong hydrochloric acid it'll just deal with it so how's the hydrochloric acid in someone who's had been taking nexium or antacids or the equivalent for I met a man 20 years he's taking by the way is it working twenty years we had a man coming to our program and that's what had happened to him he stopped the nexium as soon as he realized what it was doing he realized he had to start drinking between the mill and not with the mill he started to take a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a little bit of water just before the male you know what that came pepper did it stimulated the glands that line his stomach to release more hydrochloric acid and pepsin injure his his wife did our program a year later she said he's so happy he's still off the nexium do you know what they're finding now long-term antacid nexium medications is actually causing colon cancer because the proteins not getting broken down it should be broken down and absorbed halfway through the small intestine but it's not because it didn't get its start in the stomach so it's reaching the large intestine the large intestine has to make a lot of extra bacteria to try and break it down and it can start breaking down the colon wall mm-hmm yes go it's got to make sense something else is released in these glands here and it's the intrinsic factor so now I'm gonna give you the b12 story I'll just move that side out fall down now we're told b12 is important and it is and it's an airborne bacteria that's why if you pick your parsley and your herb straight out of the garden chop them up and eat them you're getting b12 you eat an apple off the tree you're getting b12 I would say in your rainwater tanks which are underneath your house yeah I'd say there's b12 it's an airborne bacteria now when b12 let me give you the illustration here when b12 is in food it's linked within our protein so this is b12 this is our protein linked together when it gets into your stomach hydrochloric acid releases our protein and b12 in the stomach the intrinsic factor so this is intrinsic factor it's released so now b12 an intrinsic factor they travel all the way down to the last part of the small intestine and then b12 an intrinsic factor unites and then they're absorbed into the body and then they go into a system called the enterohepatic circulation where it's constantly being recycled via the liver because of that a person can have no b12 in their diet for 20 years before they show a deficiency most people with b12 deficiency it's because they've got low hydrochloric acid or their stomach is compromised and they're not making enough intrinsic factor can you see that mm-hmm meat eaters and vegetarians alike it can have b12 deficiency so why does meat have b12 because the cows are eating grass very close to where they did droppings a few weeks ago it's a bacteria now you a vegetarian can get b12 again in homegrown things rain water tanks but also in organically grown root vegetables there's a book called proof-positive by dr. Neil Nedley an American doctor and he gets the research in there showing showing this so can you see that that wonderful proverb proverbs 14 verse 6 that says a scorner seeketh wisdom and fineness that not but knowledge is easy to him that understands so when you understand how your body uses b12 you start to understand where you can get it from so there's the stomach the stomach only breaks down one thing now because because because it only breaks down one thing and that is protein because it is an acid environment starch digestion begins in the mouth but it's put on hold in the acid environment lingual lipase starts the breakdown of the saturated fat and that basically just continues its breakdown but in this acid environment the enzyme is pepsin and pepsin breaks down protein so we'll keep this nice and clear for you and now we go through the pyloric sphincter the pyloric sphincter is the little valve at the end of the stomach and when we get through the pyloric sphincter we come into the duodenum the duodenum is the first part of the small intestine now you see this little valve here the pyloric sphincter it has little sensors coming off it and it'll only open up when that food is broken down right and digestion takes approximately three and a half to four hours and that's why your stomach loves it when you eat breakfast like a king lunch like a queen until like a pauper and it likes all the food in there at once and then it likes to be left alone uh-huh if you ever if you ever had a job to do that it take you take you about four hours and you keep getting interrupted you know what the researchers found when foods put in and then maybe an hour later a bit more put in and then an hour later a bit more put in there found still remnants of breakfast in the stomach at the end of the day because what happens is it's starting to move through say breakfast goes in starting to move through and then pyloric sphincter opens and then maybe an hour and a half two hours later something else comes in pyloric sphincter says quick shut the gate something's just come in it's not broken down and it stays shut until that gets broken down to the right state so what's going to happen to this it's gonna start to ferment and then this comes down so this comes down and joins this that opens and then a couple of hours later lunch comes in quick shut the gate something's just come in can you see what's happening that's why the research shows that they can still be remnants of breakfast in the stomach at the end of the day that's why you've got to put the food in and let it be and you know most children when they say they're starving they're just bored have you worked that one out so mother hearts don't melt when the child says they're starving because they don't know what starving is amaro nothing usually it's because they need water that's why we should stop drinking half an hour before the meal and resume drinking about an hour and a half after that gives a nice rest nice rest for the stomach after about an hour and a half most of the breakdown has begun so water can be taken now if a person's very thirsty after a meal a mouthful it's not going to make a huge difference but it's the large amounts that certainly wash away the digestive enzymes so now we're through the pyloric sphincter and we're into the duodenum now before I go there there's one more thing that I'd like to talk about with the stomach so if we're going to go say five hours between a meal so digestion three and a half to four hours must much research has been done to show that and then the stomach loves the rest of one hour so what's that five to six hours between meals mm-hmm now there's only three food groups that will allow you to do that fiber because it slowly releases the glucose protein because it's in the stomach that proteins broken down and fat because fat coach the food a little bit takes a little bit longer so our food should contain those three so what did I have for breakfast this morning I had something that wasn't an orange and wasn't a Mandarin and had a bump on top I'm not sure what it was some sort of citrus I had some blueberries I had a bit of pineapple so there's lots of fiber there and I had some almonds there's fiber there and then I had a waffle that someone had made for me and I think it had outs and chickpeas in it so there's my protein and then I toasted it and I put olive oil on it cane pepper avocado and salt on top side see my fats are there say can you see my breakfast was a good combination of those three and I had breakfast at seven o'clock and I got my first hunger pang at 12 o'clock I love that I'm not I'm too busy to be eaten all day long you see that so that's just an illustration of what I had for breakfast now if you you might prefer to have applesauce due to our students with maybe coconut cream on your waffle well there's a nice fat there there's fiber there your protein is in your waffle see so it's a good idea to check also with the children but don't the children need to eat every two hours if your children eat every two hours you'll have irritable children I can promise you because their stomachs irritated they'll tell you that they're half dying and you give them the food and they're happy but you wait another half hour later I remember one my son Peter he was very fussy and we'd have like oh you call it oatmeal oat porridge and they'd have honey and chopped banana and also milk and nuts on top if the banana filling to his honey he'd cry if the nut touched the wrong part of them and sometimes in every if any of my children cried at the table oh because you got a you got to protect everyone else's digestion okay and when you only trade your children at mealtimes they're hungry I don't Oh I'd go to the dorm after a few minutes he gonna be a good boy now no okay shut the door everyone else go back a few minutes later are you gonna be a good boy now coming he's always very polite do you know if you're always very polite what are you teaching them to do to you mm-hmm and we start again and oops the spoon touched a honey or something out do you know one meal he was at about five times so he didn't get much breakfast that day now he's four we actually learned I'd say to him if you don't cry for the first ten minutes you can sprinkle carob powder you know carob CA ro B it's like like a chocolate type powder and he'd try very hard so he could have that so we got better at it but one time he didn't get much breakfast so you know what I'm thinking he's going to be hungry and he did get hungry he got hungry is for four or five he got hungry about 11 o'clock and I'd gave him a glass of water 12 o'clock he's hungry hmm do you know what I think if I feed him he's not going to win his lunch and then he's going to be hungry too can you see that on Saturday morning I'll show you where this part of our brain is its frontal lobe it's called 4sight one jump ahead so I said well if you sit very still you can have a small glass of almond milk or organic soy milk or if I happen to have a carrot serene apple juice a little juice for a little one that'll keep him going a bit longer it's one o'clock lunch is 1:30 hungry alright if you sit very still on that chair you can have a carrot how longs it take a four-year-old to eat a carrot but you make out it's a great privilege so of course by the time lunch is at 1:30 he's eaten about a third of the carrot now if I give him a biscuit or a slice of bread if she's not gonna can you see that and I never say to him well if you'd eaten your breakfast if you see that doesn't do any good does it no don't don't make out they're idiots they're very smart and you know what they appreciate you not saying that it only happened once can you see that now some people think they've got to give the child food but you don't got to give them food you have mercy because the first character of God is merciful gracious mm-hmm so that's why I never fed my children between meals now most of the time I had breakfast like a king lunch like a queen and I don't eat at night if I do eat at night it will be something very light like a bowl of soup but next wine in a couple of weeks when I get home my grandsons will be there now they're seven and nine and twelve and they're from Brisbane and they go to school and what are they used to a big evening meal now I'll feed them breakfast like a king and lunch like a queen and they're going to want something at night so I give them a banana or maybe a couple of crackers with a bit of avocado or a smoothie or see what I mean something little now my sons who were built like this who are working hard all day they eat an evening meal see it's something you play with our exercise coordinator the guests think that he's 38 in he's 54 he's very fit and he's very active and his favorite thing after work is to cycle for 20 20 KS he has an evening meal where is his wife doesn't can you see the evening there's something you play with it depends on you depends on whether you had a decent lunch or not but as long as the evening meal is the lightest of the day because you're just going to sleep let's have a look at what's happening in the duodenum now the duodenum is an alkaline environment and to to help with this the pancreas releases sodium bicarbonate so that as that foods coming through it's mixed with stomach acid that sodium bicarbonate helps to neutralize it quickly because now a whole lot of enzymes are going to start working in this area that need an alkaline environment what an amazing body we live in so in the dude mm notice we've got the liver the bar the gallbladder and that's the bile duct that comes down and meets with the neck of the pancreas so what's happening here and by the way the gallbladder is a reservoir for bile so if someone's had their gallbladder out they're still making bile because the gallbladder is a reservoir now ideally we we hold on to that yeah we hold on to it so in the duodenum we've got the liver which has as its reservoir the gallbladder and the liver releases bile and bile is an enzyme that breaks down polyunsaturated fats so what do polyunsaturated fats are found in your nuts you seeds avocados so your polyunsaturated fats are broken down there that's the main thing that the bile the the gallbladder and the liver do release bile now we've got the pancreas so the pancreas is another organ that's releasing into the duodenum and the pancreas releases pancreatic lipase and paint pancreatic lipase further breaks down the polyunsaturated fats but the and Chris also releases pancreatic amylase now pancreatic amylase is basically a pancreatic Thailand and it finishes starch digestion remember it started in the mouth was put on hold in the acid stomach and now the pancreatic amylase finishes off the pancreas also releases trypsin and trypsin is an enzyme that finalizes the protein remember the protein was started in the stomach and now it's finalized under trypsin now the pancreas also releases chimo trypsin which is really just another type of trypsin that breaks down the protein i've got some good news that's not going to get any more difficult let me show you protein here's protein say for illustration purposes that's what protein looks like when it gets into the stomach the pepsin breaks the protein down to peptides and polypeptides now the peptides and the polypeptides travel down here to the duodenum then the pancreas releases trypsin and chymotrypsin that breaks the peptides down to amino acids and the polypeptides down to an amino acid and peptide and then the peptide down to amino acids do you remember what I said before if that stomachs not working well then this comes down into the duodenum and chips inand trimer chips and all they can do is break it down to this and so these you see can only be absorbed as amino acids so if a person's stomach isn't acid enough they're not going to be breaking down their protein and we can't heal without protein proteins in this a nutrient in the body our new cells have built up from protein to remember last night when we looked at the DNA and the new cell being made it's all amino acids trypsin chymotrypsin and pepsin are all called proteolytic enzymes that means proteolytic enzymes break down protein well God in His wisdom and mercy has put some proteolytic enzymes in some foods but pain from the papaya is a proteolytic enzyme and bromelain which is found in the core of the pineapple is a proteolytic enzyme some 104 verse 14 the Bible says God gave herbes for the service of men most people who have pancreatitis or cancer of the pancreas died of malnutrition can you see why okay students what's the main organ of digestion it's the pancreas can you see that most people don't know that most people think all their foods broken down in the stomach Sarah it's an important to know about our body so if someone has pancreatic problems they need to go on some digestive enzymes because they usually die from malnutrition because the food can't get into the blood it can't get out of the gut into the blood because it can't finalize this digestion okay another question let's say someone has pancreatic problems or liver problems or gall bladder problems what's the best fat it would be a fat that doesn't need bile or pancreatic lipase can you see that and that is the coconut the coconut breakdown begins in the mouth no wonder the South Pacific Islands caught the coconut the jewel of the Pacific mm-hmm now if you go into a supermarket go to the baby feeding formulas and have a look at their ingredients and you'll find they all have a saturated fat in them coconut or palm because the immature digestion handles it better because it doesn't need bile or pancreatic lipase neither mm-hmm in fact the body loves burning saturated fat as fuel whereas it more stores the saturated fats so if someone wanted to lose weight what would be the best fat for them to eat it's hard to say isn't it was we've been so brainwashed against the coconut oil in fact the body burns it it's like the Australian farmer he got a whole lot of coconuts cheap so he thought he'd fatten up his cows well his cows lost fat put on muscle and started bounding around the paddocks do you say paddocks fields so if you want to lose fat and put on muscle and start bounding around Bermuda's mountains what are you coconut knowledge is easy to him that understands is that right yeah another way that you can boost hydrochloric acid production is the juice of a lemon in a little bit with a little bit of boiling water on it the heat in the stomach and that lemon the acid lemon will boost your digestion so when you have a salad squeeze lemon all over it fruit salad squeeze lemon all over women lemon is a wonderful digestive aid but it is also a liver tonic if you heard the saying sweet to the mouth bitter to the stomach bitter to the mouth sweet to the stomach it's actually sweet to the liver and there are some herbs that directly boost liver function one is the dandelion another herb that directly boosts liver function is that marriage thistle or milk thistle and another one is ginger very bitter herb and and another one is ginger and ginger is called a sweet bitter the liver is the only organ in the body that is recoverable that means it can regrow so once that live is given the right conditions it can recover in a tree can regrow so try if if a person has the liver problems they should have the juice of about three or four lemons a day easy to have it in the water either you have it on your meal but also if they can get these herbs but I think you've got dandy low and growing on Bermuda do you know in Europe they have a hot potato salad in the cool weather and this is the hot potato salad they steamed potatoes then they crush garlic put salt all over it and lots of olive oil and then finely sliced dandelion and toss it through it doesn't that sound YUM that's a you see the bitterness of the and align and then the screamy smoothing smoothness of the potato very nice now we're coming students to the grand finale of digestion which is the lining of the small intestine because did you know that most of your most of your food is absorbed halfway down your small intestine and your small intestine is lined with villi and your villi basically look like this and there's a lacteal up the middle and it's into the lacteal specifically that your saturated fat gets absorbed and we're going to have blue blood because we're royalty sons and daughters of the Most High God so here's our blue blood also because I haven't got a red pen so there's that's what's inside the villa I remember this is your gut and anything that's in your gut does not get into your blood till it gets broken down to these tiny particles but lining the gastrointestinal tract as we looked at last night is the gut flora in fact the two permanent gut gut Flora's are lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium and as we also looked at when we were in our mother's utero we had no gut flora and when we were born we were literally showered with our mother's gut flora and remember that thick creamy substance in the first few days that's full of gut flora and now that gut flora is responsible for the final breakdown of our food putting the final touches the gut flora is responsible for the absorption of our food that gut flora is responsible for the protecting our blood against any harmful pathogens that's our border protection and that gut flora is responsible for nourishing nourishing the cells that line the gastrointestinal tract and as I looked at yesterday these cells have remade every three to five days in her book Gunton psychology dr. Natasha Campbell McBride she's she calls that the nursery and then the cells travel up and away they go every three to five days how important is that gut flora so now we need to know why would someone not have proper gut flora what would break it down antibiotics break it down statin drugs on Thursday when we look at heart health I'll show you the truth on cholesterol and the statin drugs also cortisone cortisone breaks it down also a lot of your pain-killing drugs break it down what have we got now we've got a total compromise of our final breakdown we've got a compromise of reabsorption we've lost our border protection in places and the cells that line the gut have lost their nourishment now let me show you what's happening there this is a very unhappy cell here because he's got no nourishment whereas this cell here very happy cell because it's got the nourishment now let's say a person's eating wheat and I touched on it last night and I will explore it more tomorrow when we look at diabetes the weeds been changed and in that change of wheat why did they do that to get a plant with a high yield to help the starvation crisis and no one complains about that but what was never addressed was what it was going to do to or the effect it was going to have on our body so the hybridization process produced gluten or a protein with a very complex protein structure very difficult for the gut to break down and so when a person eats it it breaks down to gluto morphine what's morphine it's an opiate derivative and the cow's milk that you buy in the supermarket it breaks down to kco morphine now let me show you what's happening in the gut this is gluto and this is morphine this is Casey oh and this is the morphine so gluto morphine comes along here sorry that's Casey Oh morphine let's see what Casey Oh morphine and gluto morphine they come along here and that happy well-functioning cell can knock off the group that can knock off the morphine so only gluto gets in and only kco gets in but gluto morphine and Casey and morphine come to this unhappy cell it doesn't have the ability to knock off the morphine so what's happening now is gluten morphine and kco morphine get into the blood taken to the opiate receptor sites in the brain which pick it up and there are books that are showing that dairy wheat and refined sugar can be contributing to mental illness in his book stop autism now dr. price faithfully shows that you take an autistic child off wheat dairy refined sugar 50% improvement there's a book by Jenny McCarthy apparently she's a actress who had a child who was autistic she took she took home him off wheat dairy refined sugar 50% improvement it's because of this dr. Andrew Wakefield he was a gastroenterologist notice I said was because he noticed in his clinic the children were coming to him with gut problems that's why they came to him but they're also autistic he did a hidden iron biopsy of their peyer's patches peyer's patches are lymphatic organs that basically sit there in the colon and he found every single one of them had traces of the MMR vaccine so he wrote an article in The Lancet just of his findings well look at this gut problems autistic and MMR vaccine in their peyer's patches the pharmaceutical company did a witch-hunt on that man he lost his credentials his his laboratory was closed down he could not even get another job he had to leave the country he said I'm not against vaccines just spread them out and he's written a book I have his book it's called callous disregard because of the callous disregard of Medicine - just look at what he was saying and it wasn't just him and he had a whole team of pathologists do you know he has been vindicated you know how they took him down in research it's almost impossible to dot every I and cross every T and there was an eye that hadn't been dotted they took him down on that in fact they could take anyone down if they wanted can you see why these autistic children go down they go down because maybe their mother had been what compromise gut flora and then they were vaccinated with further brought the cut flora down and then they're fed cow's milk and then they found cream of wheat at the age of four months can you see all the limb now some children get vaccinated and then don't appear to have a reaction but many go down more than we think because it does not get into the newspaper I have a friend who's a nurse she said they come in all the time the vaccine been damaged babies she said we are forbidden to say she said we've gotta say no it's got nothing to do with it it's bigger than we think we don't think it's there because we're not told and are they gonna tell us in his book stop Alzheimer's now dr. Bruce Fife says for Alzheimer's dementia Parkinson's disease Huntington's chorea multiple sclerosis stopped the wheat dairy refined sugar 50% improvement now I have a book called grain brain and that books written by dr. David pert Muller who's a neurologist and he quotes cases where psychiatrists are taking their schizophrenic patients off wheat dairy refined sugar 50% improvement oh it's a struggle for most people because most people that's what they eat is that right but we just have to go a little bit further afield and we'll find rice we'll find minute we'll find other grains even spelt and commet breads there the wheat that hasn't been hybridized but you can see why this is happening so how can we restore gut flora I'll give you the story of a man that came to do our health program he was 65 his wife was 64 I said what's your reason for coming to our health retreat he said my wife wanted me to come tell me what you eat ah I like bread and I love milk and I have bread and coffee with milk for breakfast I have sandwiches and coffee with milk for lunch and I have a big steak every night I don't like vegetables and after my evening meal I have a couple of scotches often I just go ah can't say rice can't say this is terrible ah just write down you want any medication he said yes I'm on steroids and anti-inflammatories because I've got irritable bowel syndrome and I wait and he says I went to the doctor recently they can't do any more for me you know what they started to do next chop up chop out parts of the car I said oh I said I've got a herb that may help would you like to try it see you've always got to get permission he said ah I'm here I might as well so I gave him slip around three times a day now we also gave him number one a probiotic probiotic means for life and you want to take your probiotic three quarters of an hour before breakfast if you have a gut problem because you want to you because in the morning your your pyloric sphincter is open and you want it to go right down there can you see that but if you haven't with breakfast your hydrochloric acid could very well wipe it out you see that so we gave him probiotic we also gave him slippery elm now there is one other herb that's similar to slippery on and that is aloe vera and I'm sure you could grow a levira here yeah wonderful herb aloe vera and slippery on both contain growth stimulants so they can stimulate rapid healing in the lining of the gut isn't God good we didn't encourage him to stop this the fact was there was none of it our health retreat so he couldn't have it he had to stop alcohol yet we don't serve that meat yeah we don't serve that either wait we don't serve that either and dairy don't serve that either and refined sugar nope we don't serve that either some might say well what do you serve you'd be surprised it's beautiful food everyone's happy with our food now he told me that he walks every day and he lives on Port Macquarie which is near the beach and he said I walked for an hour and I walk along the edge of the beach because he said I know that where the toilets are because I need to go four times four times before breakfast what's the body saying something's amiss here mm-hmm and then he goes a couple more times before lunch and maybe once in the afternoon was that four five six seven times a day is something wrong three intakes of food a day should equal three evacuations a day by the second day he came up to me and he said I just want to tell you something I said yeah he said I'm not bleeding from the bowel any more now this is while he's still on medication see that and I don't have cramping anymore oh I said well I but I said and how many times are you going he said well that's the other good news now he's on deuces we just served fresh vegetable and some fruit juices the first two days he's on juicers but I'm giving him slippery on four times a day four times so eight twelve six and then just before bed he said I'm only going four times a day what was he going seven so when he started food things slowed down even more I said how many times he going now he said before I said do you have diarrhea at all he said no any bleeding no any cramping no wow and he stopped all his anti-inflammatories I said to him I think you can have your cortisone you see that's a drug that has to be eased off he stopped slowly over a few weeks how do you do it you watch what the body does if he were to quickly start dari we're just put him back on the cortisone and then you try again in a few more weeks once all of that's implemented see you're the guide on the last day he was with us for a week he came up to me grinning like a Cheshire Cat he said I just did the morning walk for one hour and didn't need to go one week what an amazing body we're living now remember those cells there amen every three to five days so gut problems are the easiest fixed he heard the lectures he heard what these foods are doing to them and your and what had his doctor said to him he can do no more for him one week at the health retreat and he had a total turnaround now remember what why did he come because his wife wanted him to he's very interested in her I thought that was an amazing story in fact I wondered become how we would go but he was on I'm here let's do it he was very excited no more pain no more bloating no more bleeding and by the way he was getting all that on the medication you see drugs don't cure disease they just changed the foreman location of a disease in a crisis they may play a role but not in day to day life and this man had been on this medication for 15 years and now when I never told him what this is doing to his gut the only hope of better things is the education of people in right principles so that is how you heal irritable bowel Crohn's disease colitis gastritis all of that is it that simple it is it's very simple as everything slows down he could even go to three slippery arms a day can you see that you play with it and being in our health retreat he learned what he could eat we showed him how to make beautiful porridges for breakfast with miller with quinoa with rice lovely nut creams by blending the cashews with a tin of pears in their natural juice makes a beautiful sweet cream coconut cream but what about if someone isn't going now notice with the colon it's got a mind of its own if you go too much and you tell it to stop it won't and if you're not going enough and you tell it to go it won't it needs gentle stimulation so what stimulates the colon so now we're looking at the stimulants if someone's not going enough fiber fiber sweeps the gastrointestinal tract fiber sweeps all of those little corners in the colon and fiber does something else it stimulates peristalsis which is movement through the colon what also is necessary is to drink adequate water because one of the main functions of the colon is to take water out so stools are formed that's what the colon does because what's coming out of the small intestine into the large intestine is liquid and so by the time it gets around the large intestine it now has form if someone's dehydrated more water gets taken out than should be taken out and then we've got rabbit pellets and cement and that's not easy to move the colon also needs the proper position what am i referring to let me show you now when someone's sitting on the throne here's the throne there's a little muscle here and it's called pubiic talus and we love pubiic talus and the reason why we love pubiic talus is because pubiic talus it holds the bottom part of the colon up like a loop it's a muscle and we're so glad of that because what that means is we're not going to have any accidents oh praise be to God now really if the body says go you should go and many people don't now that's basically there the plant planes about to land and you cannot go you're in a traffic jam and you cannot go so where we glad there are times when we can hold but some people don't go because they just want to finish reading the newspaper or finish the show on television or can you see that or they're talking on the phone to the friend and it's getting interesting and they don't want to go you got to go it's very important to go because that really can weaken the sphincter at the end now when a person sitting like that pubiic Tallis remains taunt now things get through and we know they get through but if a person were to buy a little stool and put it in front of the throne so that when they're sitting their knees are up mimicking the squatting position then pubiic Tallis relaxes so when we are in the squatting position pubiic Tallis relaxes like that and then that opens the colon right up and the contents pass with great ease now in Africa Asia India many toilets you see a hole on the floor now I was in India only six weeks ago and I flew out of Delhi on my last night and I stayed in a very beautiful three-story apartment with a family they had my own room and I went into the bathroom and oh it's a hole in the floor that's it it's all marble it's all beautifully tiled or clean flush as a hole in the floor do you know in many countries traditionally that's how they went well because we're all so civilized today Bed Bath & Beyond is a shop you can get in America Australia they sell squatty potty and squatty potty is is like a stool that wraps around the throne and when you're not using it it can be pushed in or it can be pulled out or you can go to you have crazy cracks $2 shops maybe don't have them in Bermuda but often in the department stores or um or you know stores where you buy nails and hammers and things like that Hardware often they can have little plastic stools now this is very good news for people who have hemorrhoids because if someone has hemorrhoids and they sit like this and they're not going so they put a little bit of pressure on well those hemorrhoids can just pop out something's gotta give it's all right in fact they're such nasty little things we're just going to rub them out again when I worked in the operating theater I was assisted for an operation where they did a hemorrhoidectomy on dia they just put a stitch around and cut them off and you think how's that person gonna feel when they wake up nothing compared to her how they're gonna feel when they pass their first motion oh dear tortures alive and well doesn't it make sense to prevent and so this squatty potty can prevent in fact one lady who'd been using it for a while she said it's very interesting Barbara I go in the morning and I sort of feel like I haven't totally gone and I have a little look and I have it's because it just opens and it can come out with great ease so this is this is very important for people who prone to constipation prone to that and it's very good to prevent that so position is important exercise is important because when you exercise you increase the circulation of the blood to the colon and when you exercise whether it be rebounding or cycling or walking every step that you're taking you're moving or swimming I went swimming in your beautiful seas today I thought I made any be in for five minutes but I was in half an hour was so crisp it's so beautiful you have beautiful water you probably think that's crazy Australian she probably thinks there's warm now it was a little chilly but it was so nice so I certainly got to swim today swimming is very good any exercise that you do it's it stimulates the movement in the colon and it increases blood supply to the colon so what the colon also needs to help it move along is relax in fact a colonic irrigation teacher she was my teacher she said type mine tide : so you got to relax one day said I can't stand it when my husband goes to the throne he takes a book I said you got to take a book you got to relax relax so many people have colon problems because they're too fast they don't take time they don't go when the body says to go they don't relax they're not exercising they don't have the right position they're not eating enough fiber and they're not drinking enough water so how much water do we need to drink at least eight glasses a day I think I am told this is your winter who's alright that yeah we're winters are a bit colder than this but probably eight plus glasses a day at least if you're drinking two glasses a day at the moment try to go for three or four tomorrow do you know build it up little by little but we lose at least eight glasses a day we actually lose ten glasses a day but two glasses can be made up from your fruits your vegetables your soups but we must be having at least eight glasses a day of pure water while I was swimming today I had several mouthfuls to even your seawaters nice now one lady said to me she said I'm doing all this and I'm still not going well our body has memory and our body develops habit and sometimes we have to break that habit and that's why enemas can help break the habit and also castor oil compresses on the abdomen castor oil penetrates very deep and can break up lumps bumps congestion x' adhesions in fact castor oil compresses on the abdomen can be helpful for irritable bowel and they can also be helpful for constipation they penetrate deep and they they break up any problems that are happening in there now I'm gonna draw for you your pelvic girdle I'm gonna stretch it out okay this is your pelvic girdle and your pelvic girdle there's your belly button and there's your coccyx that's the end of your tailbone so this is your anus and this is for women this would be the birth canal and the vagina now what happens sorry that is the vagina so you urethra so what you've got here is you've got muscles going like this but when you've got these orifices you've got muscles going around like this and what happens with many people is they lose pelvic floor strength and you would be shocked at how many people how many men and women have colon prolapses how many women and men have bladder prolapses and how many women have vaginal prolapses because we're constantly fighting gravity that right gravity's drawing us down so the best x sighs is an exercise that will defy gravity and there's one exercise that is superior than any other in that it defies gravity the most and that's rebounding so that's like your little mini trampoline so to strengthen pelvic floor jump on that trampoline a lady said to me recently I was jumping on the trampoline and I actually urinated a little so I thought I better keep away from that I said no now you empty your bladder first that shows you that that muscle is what its strengthening in fact it's the only exercise that will will affect every single cell in the whole body so defying gravity going up and down I don't know if they sell them in Bermuda but if some smart businessperson decided to import a couple of hundred after these meetings and there aren't they're online now you want to make a small fortune nothing does it like the rebounder it is the easiest exercise it's the shortest exerciser and you can just put it in your home and on those hot Bermudan summer days you can be inside your house rebounding so just strengthen your pelvic Gert girdle rebound on Fry there not when I talk about the hormones I'll talk about one other aspect but we should also be squatting every day this is what we should do okay ten times my husband's not happy because at first it was like this 20 now he can just go up down up down up down up down squatting strengthens the pelvic girdle now a lot of people can't do it because they haven't got strength in their thighs so you can get used to getting strength in your thighs by just just holding it like this just holding it like that little by little and I walked along your beach today and idea those thighs got quite a work going up and down all those little rocky things because I didn't want to miss out on anything many people are deteriorating because they stopped moving the body the body must move and the exercise that is the most effective the most powerful and yet the shortest is rebounding five minutes three times a day you're interested who hasn't got 15 minutes a day we've all got 15 minutes a day and so to help strengthen the pelvic girdle by a little stool for in front of the throne rebound every day and start practicing squatting because that all strengthens that whole area and that whole area remember it's holding your colon is holding your bladder for women it's also holding your your reproductive organs and also you could even include the kidneys in that so it's very important I'm shocked at how many women in aged care have prolapses and what happens is they go to the doctor and the doctor says that with mesh do you know in Australia there are 800 court cases now because of what the mesh is done so what's the problem is it the mesh No is that the doctor now poor doctor he has to put the mesh in because the muscles are so weak it's actually us bodies are deteriorating too young too young it's because people aren't exercising and you got oh and that's what I love about the rebounder it's so short it's so brief and yet it's so powerful and if you got a rebounder in your house where are the kids they're on the rebounder I've come to the conclusion that people get old because they stop jumping hmm and some people say well I can't jump I've got really bad knees well the rebounder will not Joe your knees because with rebounding there is no jarring it's just a and if you can't jump even just up like this just just little jigs on the rebounder so it's very important because it stimulates your liver it stimulates your gallbladder it stimulates your stomach it stimulates your pancreas it stimulates your large intestine it stimulates your small intestine every single part of your body is stimulated by rebounding there's a little organ here called the appendix did God make a mistake well what's the role of the appendix the appendix has two roles number one it's called the colons oil can because it lubricates what comes out of the small intestine which helps to move it through the large intestine the appendix also releases antibacterial fluid now if what's coming out of here is toxic why would it be toxic you see dogs they can handle meat because their gastrointestinal tract is only about a meter long maybe a meter and a quarter long whereas human beings gastrointestinal tract is eight and a half meters long and by the time meat gets through here it's starting to purify have you ever left meat in a warm environment for eight hours and yet people are reading meat because it's got no fiber sometimes they're going once every 24 hours so what's coming out of here is pretty toxic you see when vegetables break down they ferment and the fumes from the fermentation are not toxic like the fumes from the purification process that's why if someone insists on eating meat I said were you going to eat a lot of vegetables to try and get get that through in time in countries that traditionally were always vegetarians there was never colon cancer but in many countries that traditionally have been vegetarians they're starting to become meters because of transport today and because many countries think that to be affluent you have to eat the meat it's like one lady she said I was born up in Lebanon on Mantle's and and cannelloni beans and minestrone soups and she said now my parents have moved to Sydney and they have come up in the world so they're eating meat can you see that she said I had a friend coming for tea and I said to my mum she's vegetarian so can you make some of the beans and her mom said I'm not going to surf poor man's food do you know the fact is the meat is the poor man's food its second class food whereas the the legumes are a much cleaner burning protein meat only burns at 42% that's sorry 58% is burnt as fuel that's meat that's a 42% waste that's not a very efficient fuel is it so in many ways meat is not the best food if you look at the gastrointestinal tract it certainly isn't there and so when it's coming out of here let's say a person had meat for their main meal and then finished with ice cream and chocolate flavoring hi sugar well what does that sugar do to the petrification process just feeds it so what's coming out of here in many people that it like that is toxic and so now the pancreas has to release a lot of antibacterial fluid to calm that down and sometimes when it's really toxic that poor pancreas gets overworked and it starts to get irritated and as well what's that there's your pancreas that's your appendicitis appendicitis yep so that's the role of the appendix so to make life easier for the appendix make sure you're drinking a lot of water make sure you're having a plant-based diet because the plant-based diet it also sweeps this guy where meat does not there is no fiber in meat at all so not only when it comes into here is it fairly putrid but there is also no there is no fiber to move things through the gastrointestinal tract so what if someone still isn't going everyday well there are some herbs that you can use to move things along so what I'm going to do is give you the name of these herbs and these herbs can help move things along until the body starts going by itself and this is a herb big mix that we move we sell it's called colon colon T and you can probably get the herbs yourself especially you've got people that are going to to America you can get them so it's one part cascara and two part licorice which is a root and three part buckthorn and so you mix that in a jar these two are roots and this sorry this is a root in their box so they all have to be boiled so the recipe is one teaspoon to one cup of water and then it's a gentle simmer for 10 minutes now what these herbs do is they gently stimulate revive and restore that function that's the good news some people need one cup before they go to sleep some people need one and a half cups some people need another cup in the middle of the day you have to gauge your way with it now I did mention an enema which is just warm water going into the car and so the person can go being used for centuries all through Europe when people have problems there but there is something else that would probably be the easiest for you to use on the Bermudan Islands and that is one part sea water only one part one part hot water and one part fresh water so can you see that only that only a third is sea water and you can drink usually one liter of that in the morning if a person is really brave they can even go to two liters and that will create movement when I was in the Fiji Islands lecturing I was asked to go to the local policeman's house and he he had liver problems so I began to investigate and I found out that he goes to the bathroom once a week mm-hmm and he'd been to hospital and they didn't know what to do with and they did liver function tests that I doubted on they said you let but can you see why we're gonna find out why and so there was a local doctor who was interested in natural things and he let me use one of his rooms I had a male friend who what we did was he gave this man we gave him the two liters we went and got the sea water because in Fiji it's like them Bermuda nylons its water everywhere and the doctor also had an enema kit and so I got the male nurse to give him two enemies so twice the enema win and a few little hard pellets came out that was it so I said to him well we've put water in there and it's going to soften it we've put water that way I think by the morning you'll have a result this was in the afternoon when I was flying out the next day and we visited the local policeman on our way out and when he opened the door he had a very big smile on his face what did that tell you baby's been born and all he was just standing there smiling I said now you got a drink water you're gonna go to a plant-based die you said I will I will I will and if everything's slowed down again just mix up your drink so that is that is a simple one in that certainly not everyone can handle drinking that much of lightly salted water but a straight better than drinking seawater which is pretty tough that's why when I swear Mike's had a mouthful here and there you can handle it and so ends our journey of the gastrointestinal tract but before we totally end there is one more ending that I need to give you is there hope other than sitting with a stool in front for for hemorrhoids when they're very painful there is I think you can get castor oil from them from the chemist you get a cotton ball and you soak it with castor oil and you mold it into the shape of your little finger and freeze it now it's going to take three days to freeze and then when it's solid and that's the only time you can do it you can insert it like a suppository into the anus before you go to sleep at night it'll bring great relief and that that freezing will shrink up the hemorrhoid and the castor oil will soften and soothe it and in the morning when you do your daily evacuation you will pass it out so if if you are a person that has trouble with hemorrhoids I would make up lots of them remember it cannot be used until it's frozen or it'll be impossible to insert and be patient because it can take it can take a few days to learn to freeze but that can bring great relief now remember in Galatians 6 verse 9 it says let us not be weary in well-doing friend uses and we will reap if we faint not and there's another one in Hebrews 10:35 where it says cast not away therefore thy confidence in the witches great recompense of reward for you have need of patience in that after you have done the will of God you might receive the promise so be patient it might have taken 20 years to get this bad but the good news is it won't take 20 years to heal but it might take a few months or it might take even a year what I'm going to do now is I'm going to answer some questions that have come through and this is what I can do every night so the question here is does black seed oil really work what are its healing properties have you heard of black seed oil yeah there's a lot of hoopla about black seed oil and I think that it does have some healing properties but what I know is that there are no wonder cures there's only one one to cure and it is the human body so you can try the black seed oil and if it helps use it because it is high in antioxidant anything dark is say your blackberries your blueberries your beetroot your black turtle beans anything that's very dark is very good at building blood I personally haven't never used black seed oil how do I get rid of tonsil stones well I would also look at maybe how they came to be there and one of the reasons that the tonsils flare-up do you know tonsils at the watchman at the gate and they're they're only an inflated organ that is throwing waste straight out and if there's any problem in the body what's the watchman at the gate gonna do it's gonna start speaking to you that's why it makes no sense to cut them out that's like shooting the watchman at the gate who's going to tell you there's a problem now so I would suggest for stones to be in the tonsils that they have been having troubles for a while and in China they never heard of tonsil tonsillitis until the Chinese started to eat what Time magazine called the meat sweet diet so you see a city Chinese now are actually eating this sad diet you heard of the sad diet standard American diet high sugar high refined carbohydrates and we're going to look at that tomorrow night when we look at diabetes and how that's causing diabetes high meat diet high caffeine and when these foods are going into the body the tonsils often swell so remember on a plant-based simple diet Chinese children never got tonsillitis so children that give recurring tonsillitis you've got to stop the wheat dairy refined sugar they're the three big irritants so when stones start to form that tells me there's been a problem for a while and so what you can do because castor oil is not really good inside the body because it can be a bit irritating but the person can gargle with castor oil so if you gargle with castor oil it will coat the tonsils it's not very nice stuff but you gargle it and just spit it out and when you gargle with castor oil it'll coat the tonsils and then they'll that Castro will penetrate and it can break up the stones and again the person that hasn't must stop the wheat dairy and refined sugar now there is something else that you can do that helps to pull up waste from the lungs from the sinuses from the whole neck area and that's oil pulling have you heard of oil pulling or pulling is putting a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth and swishing swish swish swish swish you swish for about 10 minutes and then spit it out on the grass not down the plughole because the coconut all go hard and you know block up your plumbing so spit it out on the grass and take some water and rinse it a few times and spit out again why is it called oil pulling because it pulls waste out of the town it pulls waste out of the glands under the tongue it pulls waste out of the blood vessels under the tongue and if a person's got a bit of a chest problem after they've all pulled they'll find they'll cough up a few lumps and I've had people tell me with sinus problems that after they've oil pulled it seems to pull the waist from the sinuses as well and they blow blow blow the nose that's why it's called oil pulling what a person can also do overnight is where castor oil compress around their neck and then the castor oil can penetrate deep through because that's what castor oil does what are the effects of marijuana I can tell you the effects of marijuana my first husband was a drug addict and an alcoholic he was having 30 joints a day when the children and I finally left home in 1993 I was a single mother for four years and my husband Michael and I been married for 20 years now so I know all about marijuana now when I was before I became a Christian at the age of 25 I used to smoke marijuana I used to go to nursing mother meetings and tell them they all should be on marijuana because you know we thought well alcohol causes liver cancer but not marijuana I don't say that anymore because I have seen the other side of marijuana I was with a narcotics detective last week and he said yeah we call it the soft serve we call it the first step because so often it is the first step to the harder ones because it does alter your mind and it is addictive and there is the possibility of someone getting drug-induced psychosis and I have spoken to many people whose sons had one smoked of marijuana and got drug-induced psychosis you don't know it's like playing Russian roulette when I became a Christian I wanted my mind to be clear for God and I stopped because it does interfere with your reasoning powers it is addictive it is the gateway
