by one they must step up to the chopping block who will win and who will be sent offline [Music] hey guys welcome to offlinetv's first cooking challenge where we'll be grouped up in teams of two and compete to be the very best please don't go with me too i was just saying that [Music] [ __ ] it's me it's lily how much you want are you good at cooking all right i was about to ask you that oh [ __ ] using whatever ingredients are in the kitchen and at your disposal you guys will be preparing what the [ __ ] i knew what is [Music] [Applause] i remember does she cut it i think she does it in one big thing like she fries the whole thing i don't think we famous for okay then let's do that okay and i think you can easily tell when it's ready yeah oh like it's white right pork it's a little bit harder to cook do we need potatoes one that's our key to success well this is really flat so you can like spam yeah salmonella all over the kitchen that's our cutting board please please stay in saute saute what is sauteing oh yup now this is definitely not dangerous and then you hit it with a hammer oh yeah go ahead the the meat wow it's really flattening out no no that that is fat that really looks like saran wrap we just need to make one piece of meat because they're not gonna eat that trigger trick this is a surprise piece of meat and then you cut it right after it's panko fries care about everything and either boil the potatoes it's gonna take me a while minimum like 20 minutes i think that's fine [Music] no we got this just two friends like cooking like for our other friend flower fruit all right i think we should start cooking the meat you shape the ground beef how you like your katsu so probably think about like a circular small yeah something or you can even decorate what's ivan's favorite animal oh my god i'm working on the curry stew okay that's what it is i don't remember how to cook the like the thing i don't know if you fry it or deep fry it or i think we can pan fry it you probably pan fry it with like a [ __ ] ton of oil they're doing the same thing right so when you go big brain be original bigger okay okay potato balls how how do you make potato balls tell us you turn it into mashed potato and you turn it into a ball you know i like the matcha by rolling it up and then we fry the ball okay yes i like this thing so chop it up yeah i've made some mashed potatoes before oh nice yeah yeah uh we need butter should i tell them do you think it takes literally like 40 minutes to make matters thank god i landed you you know as long as i landed not that i was going to be pretty happy lily how's your teammate working yeah he's doing a great job and you saw it oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah make it real buttery so it tastes oh yeah yeah yeah there's butter uh i think sour cream is actually really good oh oh my god toast this looks like a word to you oh my god what are we gonna do for the uh for the actual thing we're gonna fry it in the pot it got fried we don't they took all the the pans yeah that's a little [ __ ] to go with pot hey the gas tank isn't gonna explode with six stones running right i would say that that makes me nervous if anything there's less gas in it are you making mashed potatoes you know they take like 40 minutes to do does it take 40 minutes michael i don't know you need way too much time you don't have enough good guy scar man i'm just saying toast that's too much potato post i don't think this is going they're freaking they're freaking me out potatoes getting in my head really that heats way too low it's no it's not not use enough oil stop it you're being so mean i think this is too many potatoes i'm gonna be fully honest everyone else is doing chicken katsu curry rice so i think our our plan is to do like a potato balls potatoes you guys have too much extra potatoes like judges aren't going to eat all of that oh you guys want to work together we'll cook the chicken cutlet and you guys cook the potatoes no no no yeah that that that stuff doesn't work we can only cook one thing all right let's get the cutlet over yeah let's get the cutlet done oh yeah we got oil here what oil is that what the [ __ ] no no we don't want to use extra virgin olive oil we gotta use vegetable oil when we fry things ah i think you can use either but i don't know i don't want fries with extra virgin olive oil the curry is the season toast remember we're making mashed potatoes instead of [ __ ] korea but we're drizzling the curry sauce on top of it oh okay i'm scared to dip this in that so i think i'm just gonna oh out of here okay what that is perfect right you think wanna take some water out actually maybe let's make it thicker is it like a soup i don't [ __ ] live no i'm asking if i should about to be a sauce oh we could have done what they're doing are you microwaving we don't have another stove top toast okay this is the only option oh [ __ ] oh that's getting a little burned there toast oh geez it's a little extra crisp yeah i like mine chris but i don't know about you you like christmas exactly as crisp as you want no we just make the potato really good just microwave the bottle of potatoes in hot water oh my god i'm sorry everyone else takes two stovetops potato you sell it on the cheeks yeah we're selling onto cheese injections perfect wait is that steamed rice that's mine that's our mac potato don't you [ __ ] with that oh oh it's hot it's hot you know it's still hot done i think you're doable i think it's fine like just tell me if it's good i can't tell i don't know thick okay it's like it's like you know potato like potato chips yeah you can fry that mustard [Laughter] followed instructions leave all the instructions very well put this really be careful with that yeah um since we were first can we go first as well i i think because ours like is going to be cooling good job sounds good okay it's only burnt on the top right so we just flipped them over yeah you guys take our curry you guys still got curry didn't you huh sabotage very kind of you thank you it's just pre-made curry sauce oh thank you can we just use the whole thing actually yeah go ahead we're done we killed it we killed it we absolutely killed it it looks like a dying jesus but i wanted to make a ward i actually took her organic forbidden rice because i thought that was a normal one is it gonna taste bad i don't look [ __ ] mistaken oh are you okay getting microwaved it really looks like is this blood whose blood is this what this blood is here in the kitchen is this your blood why is my blood on your hands you guys are not eating what did you do blood he bled into your panko okay the mashed potatoes they actually you know what this is good enough how much time do you have 10 minutes 10 minutes skimming off the top like a nice healthy amount oh god this guy's potato skin okay just hide it yeah yeah yeah oh my god it's so wet on the ground oh presentation i have an idea oh my god it's ew no no okay let's try it oh my god it's moldy is that what happened i think so and then we heated it up but it was expired we're gonna steal from from our contestants you gave them something extra i'm just saying it's a lot of microwavable yeah don't you make another one i saw this on the cookies yeah yeah no they do like this and then they do the lime yeah [Laughter] i'll let you place it no no no you place it first because i trust you need to tell me where just in the middle three two three all right we need a very simple chicken katsu curry we think you will like the home style taste them yeah it's very asian [Applause] push push and bow add meat the sauce and cut the vegetables so fed did the sauce and vegetables guys i like and i did the chicken part okay moment of truth dramatic music do you see how hard it is [Music] [Applause] bribe the vaughan no one bribed broden does so calculated the potatoes are a little firm [Applause] very nice crunch yeah there was a good crunch yeah maybe too much [Applause] all right all right cool potatoes could have been cooked a little bit longer they were a little firm yep overall was very uh very delicious very home cooked kind of meal and i really enjoyed it a lot thank you thank you thank you dad oh dude i was just literally a slave for excuse me that was your sling yeah he was she was a damn good slave okay michael do you know how in korean restaurants if the servers and chef have korean accents do you think it's authentic i think i know where you're going [Applause] my co-chair doesn't speak english very well we've prepared you a day you have to uncover it first right okay [Music] they can't even say anything because of how sick it looks here at the michael toast the most restaurant we've uh developed an elevated dish deconstructed it um the way you eat it how the [ __ ] do you do with syrup well um we have teriyaki sauce in the syringe so you have total control just how much sauce over every every aspect and i know it's burnt but it's just charred yeah i feel like i'm in jail the lunch lady just smacks you know there's always a flip test is what we like to call it um now you're having fun exactly and that's we're all about here precision control and fun this feels weird no i don't think so there's some cheese in there there's like a whole skin yeah we do it with skin skin it's high in protein some bits are mashed and some it's home style it's solid it's comfy comfy home style comfy home style i heard a crunch yeah from the potato mashed potatoes it is there's cheese in the sauce it's a little gelatinous it's less sauce but more jello all right your turn you got all the syringe for the whole experience you can reverse it too if you want suck the sauce there's too much sauce yep definitely some firm bits in there i can taste the char yeah you like crunch probably here i do like crunch i didn't get the considerations you have all the words you know your part yes all right welcome guys so today the dish that we present to you is called heartfelt curry oh my gosh and me and scarochon here have infused it with love [Applause] makes me feel like i'm at a maid cafe the decor like how it's presented potatoes are very soft oh yeah they are they are very soft aren't they oh the flip test no problem oh that was all pokier here i've never had beef katsu before but but but this is good she said good good good good i can't tell toast and michael after having bears before yes made this infinitely better the potatoes are like perfect yeah this is all scarf why is it all about the potatoes what about the meat because that's the most important part of the cotton because it's because you don't understand that that's why you're beat your chef i'd rather be a beach chef than an [ __ ] the beef is good i appreciate that you guys were creative and were the only team that didn't do a pork cutlet too never mind [Music] a decision has been made thank you guys for coming here today and presenting us with all of your dishes some better than others and michael yes okay for execution i gave you guys a three i saw the three plates egg and the panko and the flour that was really great but then i also saw the butter with the forks stuck inside that whole stick of butter that you're about to throw into the pot gave you guys a three for that and for appearance one point don't make eye contact oh my god taste one oh my i gotta get five points yeah for execution i gave you guys a three i admired the three plate panko technique uh i also saw that you guys pioneered the microwave yeah i think it was first to open it i don't know whether to award points or doc points for that for appearance i actually give you guys a five oh oh thank you it tastes somewhat smart to appreciate another smart person i loved the interactivity of the dish and i liked how you incorporated the baster or something what it was called syringe syringe yep for taste though i had to give you guys a one you did burn the food so total for team most is 14. that's enough reasonable that's okay that's below here and next uh fed and lily for execution i gave you guys a five i thought it was well executed you guys did everything properly i saw fed cut the potatoes and the carrots and pieces and then lily also did the panko like really nicely presentation i gave you guys a four very comfy and cozy a very home-cooked type of vibe and for taste also a four and delicious the only one thing i would have to say would be the potatoes slightly potatoes for execution i gave you as a five i thought you guys were great and you guys finished like 10 minutes early in terms of appearance i had to give you guys a two uh i just i wanted to be a little more creative when the plate was revealed it didn't really excite me i know you're supposed to excite them honestly mm-hmm so we're doing this on taste the cooking competition i'm sorry am i speaking out loud speaking of taste i gave you guys i thought it tasted delicious it was exactly what i wanted so grand total you guys scored a 25. that's almost double whatever pokey and skara execution a five i thought you guys did everything really well as well yeah you guys handled everything very well looked like everything was in order so give you guys five for that appearance it was a five i really liked the heart cutlet and i really liked how it was like it was really good and then the curry with like the potatoes and carrots worked perfectly as well and as for taste it was a [ __ ] useful wow for execution i gave you guys a four i thought you did great i like i docked you for the cut thumb though oh i feel like that wouldn't fly in a professional kitchen we also don't know like the sanitation in here and like like whether blood got in the food so no blood was in the food we swear you know when they say blood sweat and tears were put into the making of the dish they were literal for appearance he has a five pogba i thought it was adorable the way you had the little heart shaped adorable have a good idea i gave you guys a five [Music] so you guys have a grand score of 29 almost a perfect score and
